hey hey church what's up what is up hey best angel hi how you doing you bringing more your friends over here i have more friends we talk about turn around you got more people showing up here no you are you listen welcome tonight this is friday night here at abundant life family worship church you are here with us on the plug-in show come on are you excited yes i'm excited i'm excited we didn't really have i'm pastor angel and this is one of my dearest friends that i met at abundant but no matter where she would go in the world or i would go in the world we would stay connected this is minister diana woodson it was [Laughter] and so diolana has been a member dialon is going to tell us how long she's been a member i helped her raise her baby deandre oh one of my faves but how long she's going to tell us how long she's been a member what it means to be a minister at this church and and and be connected to the sea wright family welcome deolana thank you welcome yes thank you yes pastor angel is so so dear to me i came here to this amazing ministry in 2003. that is crazy 2003 um [Laughter] at that time she always she wanna she want to get the age of this all right i look good for me hey okay okay see about to turn it on tonight my goodness it's all true so yeah i came in 2003 and um i didn't i just say something yes i love this the hair the thing it's a lot it's fabulous it's great so yes i came in 2003 at the time i had moved from kentucky here and i started going to a church at west point where i had you know one of my pastors that left kentucky was there and he said this is too far for you i think you should go to abundant life family worship church oh wow yeah it was closer to my home i lived in staten island at the time and west point was far and up mountains and stuff so yeah that's what brought me to abundant he sent me here and i walked in the door and felt like i was home wow keeps you here in abundance not just me but well pasta andrew is one of the things that keeps you here it's all true but what what honestly keeps me here is what brought me here and that's the lord right so because this is not it's not about me it's not about what i think or how i feel it is all about god and what he has in mind for us as people so he orders our steps and he ordered my steps here and so that's what keeps me here other things that keeps me here is our amazing leaders um oh my gosh that's just the truth i sign an appreciation um because they are amazing um humans so god is faithful in that regard to have such great leaders to be called over my life thank you jesus yeah and i will tell you that um theolana elder diolana yes that's new yes that's new elder dialana is and she's been supporting this ministry for years and she doesn't just like like she's not the kind of person that just supports and sits on the third row or or in the back of the church and waves her hand is like no no no no is encouraging she is encouraging uh yeah she's enthusiastic like one day i jumped she i wasn't ready i wasn't ready i was i wasn't in his spirit yet but elder dialana through this entire pandemic has been the head of our she's a nurse and she's been the head of our team as far as screening and registration she came she comes from new york what part brooklyn brooklyn new york she comes comes and serves you know not just a pretty face but she comes and serves and throughout this entire time she's been with us so deal on we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts thank you she gets the team together the screeners together so now he wants a volunteer to scream please let us know come on yes on the website and volunteer yes if there's anybody who wants to volunteer the screen take temperatures for our congregation to make sure everybody stays safe go on the website fill out the form for a volunteer form and say you want to be a screener wow she would love to have you so there are so many opportunities sometimes when you come in the building or when you watch us online it looks like we have it all together it does but we need help we need yes we do we do some of us need different kind of help but we need help we need help so we whatever you can do there's like over 30 ministries here there's always something that can be done in front behind the scenes yes behind if you're a person who's like i don't want to be seen hey you can be behind the scenes we need your help so for those of you who come in the building for those of you who don't you can still join a church technical that the first ministry that i joined um to be a participant in was youth ministry when i first came oh there's another plug for pastor it was and and i pastor angel when i tell you she like she said she helped me raise my son she loved not only on my son because he was a youth he was 10 when we came here he's 28 now my god on today but um not only did she help with him but pastor angel loved on dialana she loved on yeah and she does that to this day and so i just thank god for you i i there is nothing that i could do to thank god enough for who you are in my life to this day oh look at this she is who she is is who she is and we just thank god she crazy if you have if i want you to do right now can you please go down and just put some hearts and put some hand claps in there for dialana [Music] please just put your because because again as pastor angel said she be since the beginning of this pandemic she has been really heavily involved in serving and making sure that we get things right here [Music] it was like really really scary we didn't know what we were doing she was the woman so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts yes and we also ask that you would share share this generation he's still god the bible declares that he's the same yesterday today and forever forever he is god now here's what's important for us tonight it's not only to just say he's god but somehow in the consciousness of your mind way back in the fabric of your membrane you're going to have to pull the reality of god being god in you because what makes the difference in any service in any gathering is a personal agreement with the god that we recognize who is alive in us you know what the bible reminds us greater is he that is in us than he that is so i need you to pull on that god tonight for the next few moments as we would share together tonight is a real special night we're going back to go forward i almost almost don't want to say it but we're going back to go forward and we're pulling up some oldies with goodies and and we've asked some of the old singers of the church to come on back to the church and join us tonight so let's pray together father in heaven we thank you for the joy of life itself and without reasoning lord god we come to the conclusion that you made this night to be so we acknowledge you with every fiber in our being we acknowledge that there is none greater than you so lord we ask oh god for the assistance of angels who are standing on the sideline waiting to hear the sound from this house waiting to hear the voice that will rise from this house that will declare the goodness of the god that we serve and the god that they glorify but they all can do it in a certain manner but we want to open up the channels lord tonight open up the channels of receiving from you we want to open up the way of receiving the glory that only comes from your throne room so god tonight show yourself strong work a miracle tonight by uniting our voices and our minds and our hearts together that somebody that's watching tonight somebody that's listening tonight will yes be saved somebody will be delivered somebody will be set free somebody will be lifted from the burdens that they've been carrying somebody will understand that you are right there with them through every trial through every test through every situation through the good times to the bad times to the upcomings to the down times through the right time to the left time you're the god who is forever present and so god make your presence known tonight lord we acknowledge you in all of our ways of show yourselves charm liberate our sensitive so that we would be the joy of life itself so that we will be the light that shines brighter than the darkness holy spirit you welcome you're welcome you're welcome in this moment you're welcome in this building you're welcome in the homes that are watching you welcoming those that are at their jobs watching you're welcome while the children are watching you're welcome my grandma is watching you are welcome in every home you're welcome to do what only you can do have your way do your bidding tonight through every song through every moment of worship and we will bless your name and the more we bless your name the more you will bless us the more we your righteousness and truth the more you're going to show yourself strong and we thank you for this moment we thank you for this god moment thank you for it now in jesus name that all god's people shout hallelujah can y'all do me one big favor can you raise the roof with are watching lord don't let them get sleepy in the name of jesus i'm really glad to be here tonight really you glad i'm i'm i'm ridiculously glad to be here tonight in that we we set this side this night aside to just worship the lord and to bless the name of jesus um we got some preaching last night oh my god good goodness and mercy shall follow us the word was so powerful i want to encourage you to go on our website to go on our youtube channel and if you missed the word last night you can go on and you can pull it back up again and we believe that the lord will bless you real good tonight we're reaching all the way back to the time we first began and uh i'm i'm so encouraged with the response of so many through this pandemic through the wearing of the mask and somebody well not somebody a whole lot of bodies um asked about last night that so many singers didn't have their mask on singing well let me help you they find it very difficult to sing the praises of the lord with masks on so and they said it's hot so we have sanctified this area i don't i don't know how much or how far or how deep your faith goes but what we've had to do was we had to dig deep in faith and believe that god will cover us that don't mean we're going to be careless because as soon as they walk off they putting the mask on some of them got him on their wrist got it in their pockets yet i've come to understand there are times when what we preached about what we've taught what we believed god the prayer time there are times when you have to believe that god is going to take care of you i don't have any other theological um words to give you in regards to that i just believe that god will take care of us and and and if he chooses to afford you time in his presence because that's your desire i believe he'll keep you in that moment so so if if you could tonight some of you are watching you're still up in the air with that i just i just i like to be real transparent i'd like to be real clear um but what i also like to do is i also like to remind people that we still walk by faith and not by sight i do i want to remind people and and i always i always want you to know that this church cares about people's lives so we we we believe that we've done our due diligence to clear the air the system is working properly with because of the height of the ceiling we've been told how we need to the place and then finally this is a terrible plug finally we've got lysol we got spray i got my spray i spray everything and then when i go back we put on our mask god has been good to this church and i believe he's going to continue to cover us and to keep us and i just want you to just join with me in faith so tonight we're going to do a a couple of old time songs we're going to take it back a little bit and then we're going to and we're going to you're going to hear some some uh originals just a little bit and uh pray for us because you know getting people to come and rehearsal it was a was a real challenge but those that could make it made it and i just wanted to say personally from me and mary we appreciate that so much i you know what the three things i'm going to preach about on teach about on sunday and that is the first one is our call and i thank you all for understanding the call not just the call to sing but the call to be the manifestation of who christ is christ in you the hope of glory thank you all for the call and then secondly thank you for your courage because you don't have to be up here but it takes courage in the midst of a pandemic to come and stand and to declare that jesus christ is still lord and that we would not have made it except for his amazing grace in our lives and thirdly our commitment thank you all for being committed to this to acquire songs that we could be sung that would really bless the body of christ and it was it was that that sunday after rehearsals i don't know when the rehearsals were but that sunday morning when we were working real hard to prepare for the the cd and the recording and uh we we sang this song and and it blessed my life and it's continually blessing my life i believe it blesses the body of christ in a tremendous way it is one of the sweetest songs on our cd which cd is this one on this was the first one and uh i just thank god for for clay and dwayne and ty putting this song together honoring some of our members and those who maybe who have even moved on in their lives but they've always stayed connected to us here at abundant life and so we're going to acknowledge some tonight and even on sunday morning we believe that honor is invaluable to people and we could just want them to know how much we appreciate them here for their years of service and helping us make this a great house because it's only a great house because of the great people amen can somebody say amen to that praise god so for our 30th church anniversary we decided to do something and we wanted to create a culture of recognition everybody say recognition recognition not only recognition but we wanted to establish a culture of honor and honoring people we wanted to just honor some special people um for the contribution that they've made the truth is we as a church we as a body of christ would not be where we are without these individuals tonight they not only excelled in service but were abundant life ministry shapers and culture shifters their unique way of brainstorming and strategizing down through the years and and serving helped us to do to do a few things number one it created a distinctive sound through music and through prayer in this house number two they were they were part of the the chronicle of of our the history of our church and and the technology that was necessary to bring us to the place that we are right now and they help to construct systems that help to build the infrastructure of this great ministry and i believe that this is a great ministry do i have any witnesses in the house who will agree with me [Applause] it's a great ministry because we have great people so we created the first abundant life hall of fame as our way of honoring the achievements of these individuals who have excelled in a particular field of ministry these forerunners left stepping stones for others to thrive in ministry and set in motion systems for us that still endure after they have passed it on to the next generation although this is our first our first induction it most certainly will not be our last so ladies and gentlemen if you would sit comfortably we want to present to you the first abundant life hall of fame be blessed [Music] [Music] we honor sean c wright whom we affectionately called shawnee my special nephew he was the son of my brother bill and his wife denise as well as a talented incredible drummer yes shawnee was only 12 years old and he began playing the drums here at abundant life you know without any formal training he learned to play by ear sean devoted a copious number of hours practicing at home and fine-tuning his ear by listening and learning from more seasonal musicians yes he played with kenny black he also watched and followed jeff davis when he played for various churches sean was a true student of music he loved those drums his dream was to attend berkeley college to learn how to read write and to produce music he had a gift and it touched the souls of so many as he matured so did his music he went from playing for the children's choir in 1991 to contributing to the anointed sound of our first cd amazing grace in 1996. people still love that cd and i know i do and sean played a pivotal role in the making of it he absolutely did honey so we honor our nephew for his dedication and invaluable contribution to the unforgettable praise and worship experience in this house so abundant life family worship church we proudly salute honestly salute with great joy sean del rey c wright it was in the year of 1996 that sean left and went to glory into heaven to beat the drums for the angels up in glory and tonight we wanted to just honor him and we thought no better way to honor him than to honor his parents and his sister's sister the one and only muff so we thank god for them and and we're going to have bill your human mind if you if you want to if you can giving honor to god who is ahead of our lives we as a family we would just like to take this time to thank you for honoring this gifted young man who god gave to us for a season and when his season was up he decide to go back home we want to thank bishop first lady abundant life the elders the members the choir saints friends just to say thank you in honor of this anointed drummer who went about playing producing and just being who he was he took the gift that god gave him and he used it and it was when it was time god called him back home we don't have no regrets but we thank god for the time he allowed us to share sean del rey c right my man [Music] if you've been a member of this great church for any number of years you have at some point experienced this man's endless energy and fun loving spirit dwayne jennings joined abundant life in 1992 and sat under bishop searight as he learned from and absorbed his love of praise and worship when it was time for me to pass the torch six years later who better pass it to than to wayne who began leading worship at our first very first family life conference duane continued to be one of our beloved worship leaders with a signature style loved by anyone who experienced his ministry dwayne has experience working in theater arts which allowed him to bring that love for drama to our church he is the founder of our vision drama ministry that grew to be one of the greatest ministries in our church along with leading worship leading the music ministry and leading the drama ministry he also wrote and arranged several songs for the children's choir and for royal priesthood as if holding several leadership positions wasn't enough dewayne also worked as a staff member for our church for 15 years when we think of ministry pillars and foundational members we will always speak your name abundant life family worship church we salute you dwayne jennings [Applause] oh yeah come on give it up for the one and only dwayne jennings [Applause] his wife is here tonight and some of his family members are here tonight to celebrate him and we just wanted to take this time to celebrate this guy right here and i'm just going to be straight up i know i'm not supposed to talk i'm not supposed to talk they're supposed to talk but i love this big head guy right here he has been a tremendous weight lifter because of what god has called us to do in this church how he called me here and everything i have to honor i wish my father was here the wisest man i know who helped me through a lot of things my mother is [Applause] the here fox is here my sisters are here some of my friends and mentors are here um i love you all to life um i would not have made it through without um the teaching first um i came here and i saw him singing and doing praise and worship and i knew i could do it however when he said do it it didn't come out like i thought it was going to come out he gave me the mic for the first family life conference and i thought i was going to die but i learned how to do it and i thank god for that i would not also i have to say i would not be at this place and i'm gonna wrap it up i wanted to say more i had more jokes too alex but um i would not have made it this far uh first of all there was someone who who was crazy enough to marry me [Applause] i'm gonna be very transparent she visited me in jail y'all wasn't saved all your life either [Applause] some of y'all still cussing just shut up don't judge me don't judge she visited me in jail she along with me here she she worked in administration here she she used to write the shepherd's heart y'all have to be here long enough to know what that is she wrote the shepherd's heart she she worked with me in the project yes here was an alternative to incarceration here she she started the tape ministry here she she she sang with taya and the choir danielle jennings the author and now the doctor of business [Applause] i married a smart woman thank god thank god so i just want to know and here's who i love and who i love to serve i love abundant life family worship church i love my my judah i love you guys y'all my homies y'all was always with me every ministry here i honor you because you let me help you you let me go through your ministries you let me touch you i honor you all i love you to life let me go before i start singing come on pastor let's see somebody life most people do it when they are ready to enjoy their golden years however when you are great at something i mean really great you retire early and move on to other things terretta meadows matai is one such woman she started on the worship team and sang under such an incredible anointing from god you know on any given service she has developed a way to take us into the presence of god every time not only was she a worship leader but she also sang with royal priesthood and was a member on the royal council hold on hold on don't forget that she also served as an elder too and a co-lead in the singles ministry though she retired some years back from the worship team she has made some guest appearances here and there but this woman of god is walking in her kingdom purpose she's retired to do more for the kingdom yes she did she now serves as the financial education ministry lead and financial education team member is an example of how the lord can use you in many ways to serve him and to serve the body of christ abundant life family worship church we take this wonderful opportunity to salute tyred amen [Applause] come on y'all give it up for the one and only my precious daughter i love her dearly tyretta meadows is an incredible human being and i love her ladies and gentlemen tyretta [Music] thank you so i was going to get up here and say thank you and goodbye but they were giving academy award speeches last night so i had to write something um so first of all thank you to bishop and pastor mary for this honor and thank you to the abundant life family i really enjoy doing worship here and all the ministries that i participated in over the years um i once had an exercise at work for us to talk about what was one of the pivotal moments in our life that changed or directed the trajectory of your life and for me that was starting at rutgers university which introduced me to new hope training center for which i was a passive member but i was i went from there to abundant life family worship center at the time as an active member and from that decision not only did i start my career because i got my first job through glennis gerard so pastor leo was honored yesterday but i got my first job through glennis gerard and that launched my financial services career and i found a group of friends in ministry and pastors that became family and we call each other the family that we choose right so there's the family that you're born into and then there's the family we choose an abundant life was the family that i chose and it was an honor for all the years we had some fun times we had some funny times laughing at each other and with each other but it was an honor to serve in ministry with my family and so again i say thank you very much amen [Applause] whoa tyrella wow amazing i i would say more but i'm not supposed to so one more y'all you got one more at you okay [Music] [Music] clay bogan has been a valued member of the abundant life family since making it his home in may of 1991 with an associate of arts and science in music marketing and management from the art institute of philadelphia clay brought a unique and desired craft to our ministry helping us to glorify god through musical worship as one of the principal leaders in establishing the inaugural music and some abundant life classics like amazing grace how sweet the sound oh my god that was a classic you better say those were the days but yes clay played an integral role in establishing the praise team known as taya and the choir known as royal priesthood in the 15 years he spent serving in ministry as abundant life's music director he helped produce three staple recording projects pastor george c wright and royal priesthood design for praise and make your presence known dedicated to being a servant of god clay spent a lot of early mornings and late nights helping us set an atmosphere of praise and worship that's right that's right because you know back in the day church was 24 7. take a nap get a snack and come on back amen although clay has gone to serve in other capacities across different ministries and stages we are grateful to him for dedicating his time gifts and talents to the abundant life ministry we cannot thank him enough for his contributions to this family this ministry and this world he is a man who uses his gifts to glorify god so abundant life family worship church we salute come here y'all give it up one good time for the one and only clay bogey bog bouquet i'm not gonna say nothing wow [Music] wow wow um i'm going to be short alex so don't worry uh 30 years ago uh my cousin robin robin wilson she uh asked me to come with them to i think it was a hezekiah walker outdoor function or something that came with and and i jumped on the oregon and uh bishop you know before we got on the bus and bishop came out and said who's that and he came out and we spoke we exchanged numbers and i think a couple weeks later i came and that was probably one of the first times when i played i heard the audible voice of the lord saying this is home so so for 15 years this was home and this was the place where i learned my call this is the place where i produce my first project this is actually right there is where i wrote i will go in jesus name um this is the place where my kids would come and they grew in the lord and uh this this place means so many things to me and to come 30 years ago to now and to see this harvest is unbelievable for me so let me stop um i want to thank you bishop and first lady for for modeling how to prioritize the presence of god and prayer to all of us here um it's something that i carry with me and everything that i do every project um you know whenever i sit on the keyboard you taught us how whenever we make time for we set an appointment we said we set an appointment with god we just don't set an appointment or we're just we don't come because we're scheduled we set an appointment with god and i carry that with me and i say that everywhere i go so uh i thank you both for being family as you know they said but more importantly i'm able to do what i do today because of how you encouraged me how you took risk on me nowadays pastors don't like to take risks and i'm sorry to say that but but uh but uh he took a risk on me and i you know i was horribly immature and and i did a lot of things wrong and i apologize for for the people who uh who complained to bishop about me for over the years but uh i want to thank the staff those who i worked with over the years uh alex lisa griffs uh pam erica pastor jim duane so many to name um this was again a family that we we came together and said yes together to this ministry and so uh i praise god for them as well um i couldn't do what i had done for 15 years without tyretta dewayne and sean it's incredible how the lord allowed me and my friends to hang out and do church together we were we we were partners we were friends and i i couldn't have done it without them so i i praise god and i'm honored when i when i heard about this i'm like i hope they're not doing this without them because you know i i would feel awkward without them because they we we held each other up so i praise you guys i praise god for you guys um to my unsung heroes my children alyssa christa man and aaron uh aaron's back home but listen krista are here stand up guys alyssa and krista can stand up and their tribe alyssa has five kids here and her husband five a list i mean i'm sorry christa has five alyssa has two i'm sorry she made sure she corrected that she is gonna correct that i'm almost finished alex i'm almost finished uh but uh they would you know the sacrifice of us coming up down the road we drove an hour almost in one way each way and you know the memories we have from that is still rich we still talk about our times here um man my son he's in the navy just pray for him he's being deployed right now um my other unsung hero is my wife daryl who we've been together for 18 years and she's my rock she's been incredible throughout all all all the years of me being in ministry and so i love you babe and lastly uh my unsung heroes are my parents who are here tonight as well [Applause] one day we have to share the entire story of clay bogan um and you know they they could share it well of how how many times the devil tried to take me before i was assigned to do anything um at an early age and so um so i thank you all i love you all god bless you thank you bishop everybody [Music] [Music] i was praising god and speaking to people like that's what that's what i got from the service that everybody like the singing was good and everything was good but everybody was greeting everybody that they hadn't seen it was such a great connection great connection such a great connection now we know that you're watching someone that wasn't able to make it tonight you're celebrating still 30 years with us and you thank you for staying on thank you oh my god you stayed listen you stayed on into the last dance yes this was great listen from from clay to tyretta to wayne shawnee remember when i was showing it it was just listening beautiful it was a really really good service tonight and we we're glad again that you stayed with us we have a couple of guests i'm gonna go get them listen we have a couple of guests that we want to um just talk to tonight these are people that work in ministry with us hey this is harry l what's up ariel she looks like a child but she's a whole grown woman and throughout this entire pandemic arielle flores has just shined bright like a diamond come on clap she hearts she just was here to serve and she got elevated to a whole nother level hold of the lady it's running right do you hear me she runs the service all this that you see going right here her anointing her sweetness arielle how long have you been a member um so oh a member uh nine years it'll be 10 years of 2022 mother's day and what makes you continue to serve in this house you know the example everyone else said you know the fire that the passion that everyone else has before for the lord like it really does spread and then eventually when you when it spreads to you i like to spread to me now i just want to claim it for myself and i i do it now on my own wow we thank god for you we thank god for you all right so you talk i'm gonna go get another guest if you want to join us like any sunday just come in we might call you we might pull you just right off of the side and pull you right in look what we have this is listen this is one of the anointed oh my god pastor angel you go ahead this is my face you're not a baby she's a whole girl like ariel she looks like a child but people are waving hey but she's a tall grown woman this is the one and only taloria right the oldest of the t right girls so gloria how long have you been a member oh my gosh we came here when i was seven years old over 15 years and throughout this pandemic she has been dancing in judah she has been um coming and being a part and serving any way she can she's a teacher tell us where you teach i teach in what's windsor i teach first grade first grade how do you love it i love it i really do i really do and what makes you proud to be a member of abundant life man a church that is founded on you know the teachings of jesus you know i've been here since i was younger and abundant and all of the resources and all the programs that i've gone through have really built me up and continues to build me up to become a mature disciple of jesus oh did you did you hear that no no that's a church baby but you're a disciple of jesus thank you for being with us to gloria thank you delorean yes thank you elton nate thank you pastor amy because elton nate he he has served as well throughout the pandemic not only does he do a church but he is an adjutant for bishop they need him to move the chairs one time he was out in the parking lot the obvious i was what makes you do it it's about serving and i think i got last night one of the one of our guests who came on what was his name emilia emilio yes emilia when you when you find out i need help listen when emilio said that he found a home and then clay got up tonight and said the lord spoke to him and that was that's kind of how i feel about like he they articulated how i've been feeling for so long and didn't know the words right when you find home it's home and so i think listen people families like deloria's family the wright family you pastor angel you know ashley ashley and dave john block all these people dwayne jenny all these people they make you feel like it's home and it's a family so that's why that's why i say that's why i serve we thank you for coming to our house tonight thank you being our guest we hope that you were fed you're welcome yes you came in our house be it look at technology it's amazing so we love you we pray that you accepted jesus tonight and that you were blessed amen god bless you well grace and peace from god our father don't forget tomorrow wait i don't want you to
