good morning okay we're up we're good hey what's up what's up my church family what's up about your life it's good to see you guys yes listen we we've had such you know we were just at this moment just kind of getting back the energy that we lost over this week we've had an incredible it's been incredible it's been incredible thursday night yes thursday with bishop guns yes but before we start you are here with us yes share your page come on share share share we want you to invite someone our 30th anniversary and uh we want as many people to come in uh they're coming into the church i mean i mean it's been a phenomenal response this week and they're coming into the church right now but we are here with you at the plug-in show yes thank you for coming thank you for coming now you were talking about this weekend yes yes thursday night bishop guns oh my gosh bishop and sharon ann she was our musical guest she was and friday was just a musical night yes the dancers were dancing i was dancing you were dancing you were dancing on saturday [Music] did y'all see the singers were singing they did some old throwback songs tyretta saying did my soul good jason nelson you got me saying jason jonathan nelson was here he was here with us and yesterday we had an outdoor event that was incredible oh my god the sun was out yes the weather was beautiful the weather was beautiful beautiful we sang songs we played games we won prizes i sang did y'all see me hula hoop yesterday okay i was on the camera but i don't know what did it be called a hula i don't think you did a hula hoop it was just you just did a hula i'll show you how to do the hula hoop but we had to go out i know how yeah i didn't i don't know but the kids had a great day the kids had to play outside you know these kids play inside these days yes and so they had to play outside they were running and laughing and relay racing and jumping and face painting we had a fun bus and cupcakes and pizza and chips and hot dogs and hamburgers it was like oh my it was a fact it was it was incredible so really well listen whenever we have stuff here at abundant life and we always want everyone to be a part of it so if you're able to make it out please come but of course now that we have our a church family yes [Music] we have guests we had guests that came yeah we had guests that came onto the show our a church family came to church and everything it was fantastic it's been an amazing 30th 30th anniversary yeah what about 30 years is it is significant to you 30 years like once you turn 30 like you get a little um maturity a little sassiness you know like in your 20s you're unsure you're all over the place but when you're 30 you know you're like all right i got this together let me get myself together and i feel like that's our church is just still growing where souls are being saved we're not tired yet no not at all we are not i got a song but i'm gonna save it my voice is scotching but you were singing all day yesterday all day we are not tired we're still winning souls for jesus that's our purpose that's our purpose so we've been doing this for 30 years we know what we're doing now i think we've been knowing what we're doing now we've been doing this we're still learning to we're still we know what we're and we're growing and we're uh adapting to new things and we're we have um so many different ministries in this house that help it to run we thank god for our leaders yes they are awesome bishop uh george and pastor mary and for and they teach us you know they lead us the anointing flows from their head down he's going to be challenging you're going to get some soon elder nate he's going to get some of the uh i feel it i see it is it in the room is it it's in a room he's gonna get anointing god is good he's not gonna leave you out okay thank god yeah listen are we are we getting the guests now okay will you go ahead i'm gonna go get some yes you talk to we've been uh doing a church here for over a year and so we have guests that are coming on to the to the show right now we got yes we're gonna have a couple of guests come on right now and uh we believe god for um come on in come on in y'all come on in come on come on in this is oh it's what's up sandra hi hi i'm glad to be here she is sandra grant this is not a fake accent this is her real accent she is from london but how long have you been a member i've been it's okay i've been a member for about 18 years okay about 18 years yeah maybe one more or one less she raised her daughter here at abundant life all three all three i mean when you first came you just had one right one sharif just had one and then she got her her um ruthie and jojo and and her children work ministry her children work ministries yes they work the cameras but you have been very very helpful doing the pandemic she's been an intercessor you've been an usher at times and you've been a screener lately right right right right so why is it significant that you're a faithful member and tither here at abundant well bishop and pastor mary always teach us to serve and not only that i love god i'm a single parent and i live on my own and i believe in the blessings of the lord yes so god if you're faithful to god god is faithful to you just like what the man of god said on thursday that joseph was faithful moses was faithful and we just got to be faithful in everything that god leads us and puts us to do so i love my church i love my pastors i love pastor angel i love pastor nathan i just love the people of god i just love serving because when you serve it's rewarding and you can see the benefits on the people that you serve yes yes yes and it shows and it shows too well you're not here we're like we're sandra we're sanchez sanji you're a staple here at abundance and i love the pastors too because when they're not here they check on you they call you see what's happening so i love my pastors and i love the the leadership of this ministry it's a a ministry of excellence and prayer yes and prayer and prayer is the key thing and i love it i love you you sound like you're about to tune up and pray all right all right all right all right el dorado i'm gonna go get another guest you got another one we got another guest i got a lot of friends listen we appreciate sandra for coming she is she is a staple in this ministry and she does so much here you know she she serves during the week she comes she doesn't just come on sunday and support the ministry here but she comes during the week and helps as well so listen we haven't got another guy thank you i got another guy we're good this is eliana connie abraham and she were you a founding member i was right here i think bishop said yesterday she was before the founding so they had a relationship um so what is some of your fondest memories you now live in georgia i live in georgia now yeah but you come back so much every time i look right because i'm gonna always be a member of abundant life so can you tell us some of your fondest memories over the 30 years over the 30 years uh some of my fondest memories there are several fond memories but one that i wanted to really hone in was the foundation of prayer we were i was probably 15 16 and mom c wright was the one who labored and taught us how to pray that's where the foundation of abundant life comes from we are a ministry of prayer and still still to this day a ministry full of prayer that was one of my fondest memories because it sticks i mean that's my life you know people say you can preach i say no i can pray but i can also preach because prayer is my foundation uh and then my other fond memory was of course 30 years ago my husband and i was the first wedding at abundant life family virtue the very first wedding at abundant life family worship center we weren't the church that then we were at the center and then this is the i guess is so many we marched from around the corner on mars street to here to this building when we were able to purchase this building that is one of the i mean to see the clay and the rocks and it was just an amazing to see where the church is now is just an amazing thing to see all of this i can't remember when they show pictures like christian was little her oldest son he's 39. oh my goodness he was born birthed into the ministry and you know matthew brought that up and i just want to say this to the young people out there i got pregnant at the age of 18 and i was a member of abundant flowing in ministry you know doing all the things god had called me to do and i got pregnant at 18 and i had my son at 19. but one thing i want to say about bishop and pastor mary is they never threw me away yes they never cast me out you know they never made me feel bad about what i had done and they just loved us beyond what we could ever imagine and here we are the children are a miracle and they've laid hands on all my children so much history so listen listen this is this is why i'm blinging today because it's a celebration you see what i'm saying it's time to celebrate 30 years y'all put some claps in there put some hearts in there listen they are dressed but her son and my son started radical they sure did they started rattling for those of you who don't know radical is our hip-hop dance dance ministry y'all better come on and be a part of that come on listen it's a legacy behind radical y'all want all right this is a great place to be great ministry thank you so much thank you so much for having me did you have fun yesterday i had a blast oh my gosh the memories of seeing everybody yesterday it was a family it was a family reunion and just a feeding you know the heart of the ministry it's just amazing to see pastor and past mary you know when that i was 14 so they were probably like 21 and 23. when i started out with the ministry this is before abundant you know and to see them people don't know where god has brought them from they don't know the lowly times you know the times we was all of us was trying to eat off of one ticket you know what i mean everything you get a little bit you get a little bit but to see what god has done for them that also blesses me oh i give him all praise glory and honor and i thank god for my bishop and my first lady who truly have set the example for what it is to be married to love your family to do ministry so you know to give to and to give you and to give some more oh my god but god will bless you yes so we thank you thank you i love y'all so much keep doing families you saw families reconnecting you saw a family member and and what i love about this is what i love about this is you don't just see the pastors elevate right we're not in a place where you just see the leaders elevating you see everybody you see families bishop had a saying when i go up you all do too when he when he got became a bishop he's like when i go up you do too and everywhere i go what church you belong to abundant life yeah oh see right like you get a little more recognition we as he went out we went out too and we moved here um from another state because of my husband's job but this is where i was elevated i was called to ministry you know when i lived in pittsburgh but here bishop made me the youth pastor and it has been an amazing journey and so i say thank you we have wonderful leaders not just in our bishop and first lady but in the the elders and the ministers and the deacons and the ushers and the greeters and the sound room and the musicians evolution i sang on the right key yesterday what incredible incredible listen we're about to go into service yes we have about 30 seconds left but uh i'm so so incredibly charged yes about this 30 years i'm tired rock for god and the gates of hell hades death will not be able to prevail against the lord so we thank you that the gates of hell and hades and death has not been able to prevail against this church within the last 30 years i thought we thank you that the only fire that's been able to consume this church is the fire of the holy spirit lord we thank you that the fire of the holy spirit has created a barrier around this house lord where there has not been able to be a demonic attack that be able to bring us down or god we thank you that that same fire around this church is the same fire that has taken the people here hold lord that has protected us in our own homes and our own families that has been giving us the ability to know what to do in the times of an attack or god we thank you that there is no witch nor warlock no demon no crystal ball no voodoo or anything that can tear down the walls of this church for god because of the foundation of what this church has been built on this church has been built on the foundation of you lord so we know that in the last 30 years demons still must bow down to you lord god we know in the last 30 years demons still flee when we cry out to you so we cry out jesus continue lord god to come over this house god jesus we thank you for your covering and your provision upon this house lord so we ask right now lord god that we will take what we've learned in these past 30 years lord so that you will continue to cover us in the next lord god we thank you lord god in the times where naysayers said what they had to say we leaned on you lord and you we you allowed us to trust on you and heaven what it means to lean on you lord god so we thank you in the last 30 years i got opinions arise lord yours was higher lord that we focused on yours we didn't focus on what they said we thank you for what we thought was financial strongholds lord you told us to lean on you in this house and we did and we saw miracle signs and wonders take place in this house lord so we thank you lord god that in the past 30 years you have shown us that you still reign lord god you still reign above the earth for god we thank you that in the past 30 years your blood is still covering us like god still covering our ministries lord god we thank you our god that your teachings are all over this house lord god where is touching the hearts and the souls of the people in new brunswick like god it is touching the hearts and the souls of the people in a church or god it is touching the hearts and the souls over this whole entire nation because we are a nationwide church because you are a nationwide god and this is where you are god so we thank you and we love you in jesus name we pray amen hallelujah hallelujah come on let's lift our hands right now father we say yes lord we say god we want you to build your church jesus and father we thank you lord god that we believe father that as you have blessed us over the last 30 lord god that your spirit would reign over the next 30 years father we declare lord god that we will be the church god that will be overshadowed just like mary was father lord god that we will be overshadowed with love we'll be overshadowed with your grace we'll be overshadowed by your compassion and your favor lord god and we declare god that you will pour out your spirit like never before and god we cry out for the lord all at the same time we can do that lord because you're alpha and omega you're the beginning and the ending you can start something and finish it and start something all over again thank you for that lord so we anticipate we expect nothing but the best that comes from you i pray for these hearts and these lives i pray for every member of this church every gift that you've given to us i pray for them lord and i say thank you for them and i add a blessing upon their lives from the front of this church to the back from top to bottom left to right every person that have touched anything that has to do with the will of god for this house lord i bless them prosper your people in the blessed name of jesus i pray though god's people say amen for the lord is good and his mercy endures forever i know we're in this pandemic and we can't we're not supposed to touch one another so just look at one another and let your eyes smile at them because we can't see your face let your eyes smile at in the script but i had to do this from me i had to i had to show you all that i don't do what i do by myself and as much as i look so good doing it it would not be done without these people right here these people these people these people these people these people right here these people these people right here [Applause] i gotta say these people are pretty much the backbone of what happens in this church i got to say it some of them have been with me for such a long time long long time and i am just that smart enough to know that we don't advance without smart people with us so i wanted to pause just for a second and thank god for them now mary there's something special i'll do for you later but [Applause] lisa has been this has been with us for a very long time many of you know she's the comptroller of the church she makes sure that we stay in the blue and green whatever that is and never in the red and she has i just i'll just say this she has covered not only the church but she's covered me my wife and my family down through the years i know i'm not supposed to take much time i don't know what to say about angel peters because she said she said you can sing to me and right there in my top of my head i thought about i'll always love my mama but she's my she she was she adopted me as one of her godsons all i can say is that past angel is just as crazy as you think she is but she has that's down to the years just been so incredibly faithful to um the children's ministry the young young people in this house tremendously faithful tremendously faithful tremendously faithful and what tops it off is that she really loves people she really really loves people well what can i say about he was the elder and then became pastor alex ellis what can i say what can i say um [Music] you know the the thing about this guy right here is that i've learned a long time ago you always want to have people around you that's smarter than you and i thank god that i i put in him the thought that he was smarter than me and all he had to do was act it out and he has done a tremendous job of helping me think through stuff and gather great preachers grab the great songwriters and what he has been tremendously instrumental in building this house outside of this house giving this house an image that cannot be beat by anybody or anything well you you narrow this thing down to uh lg week i got to stop calling him lg because he's not really little george anymore he's got a little george um but he's my son he is pastor george he is the executive pastor of this church [Applause] and in in in just a couple of months he and i will be sharing from this pulpit a fresh new direction for this house when he was born i didn't know it was going to be like this but i thank god every day that he gave me this boy this guy right here [Applause] and i repeat i say it again in in a couple of months he and i are going to be sharing some things with this house that i believe is going to change the trajectory of this house and move us into another place in god and in this community in this region and even in this world in just a little while i love this boy i love this guy what can i say about erica tremaine sea right mcclure [Music] that's right she was a sea right before she was a mcclure but erica has been she's been i got to say this she's really been the wonder woman of this church [Music] i can't i can't get her to calm down i can't get her to slow down she is so driven for the success of this church um and and you don't many of you or some of you know but many of you don't know the work that she puts in every single day so that this house and her dad can look really good so we want to say thank you to erica and then there's so much i want to say about erica but i'll just stop it and then there's this guy right here what what in the world [Applause] [Music] [Applause] i'm really a loss for words for him because he's been just that incredibly dominant in his arena in his focus in his gift in his calling in his ability to do oh [Music] that he does some of you see him he runs around this church like a chicken with his head cut off and he does that because he sees the gaps he sees the entrances of what god could do in this house did i make did that sound did that make sense he sees the entrances he sees how god can take us and move us in a magnificent way so damon we want to say thank you man this he he he has a family [Music] he has a business but he has made abundant life a priority so we just want to say thank you boy i love this [Applause] i have i have somewhat adopted him as a son and his wife his children one of the things that we find that happens in this church is that we become family for real no no no i'm very serious y'all we become family for real um i don't know where he's at but carl where are you carl are you are you still somewhere uh put put the broom down son wherever you're at carl come up here real quick he was downstairs okay carl carl is on our staff as well and um carl is on staff here i want to just say thank god for him where is he at get him i want to say thanks to him publicly [Applause] and then let me while i'm here let me say thank you to um we call him will but his name is william i want to [Applause] i thank god for for all the musicians you know dev and when i thank god for all you d and what have you all all the musicians um but you know we needed somebody to step in in this capacity and this young man came in as our sound man and and god opened the door for him to step into this position to lead the music ministry the sound that comes from this house and uh he did it without any struggle um he he he always says well bishop whatever you want what do you want what do you want um and so it is with the other musicians matt and the rest of all y'all just been so incredibly wonderful and stepping up stepping in um it's just been saying sam you've just been so great yet it it's you know you got to have leadership and he stepped in and i wanted him to know that i appreciate him tremendously for moving and he says whatever you need me to do bishop i'm going to do it he has his own business he has his own company he just has so much and i wanted to say thank you i did that would you help me to say thank you to carl for his labor of love in this house [Applause] he's here every day working um he's he's also he has to travel to uh [Music] antigua to where his family is his mother has taken ill and he has been faithful to his family at the same time he wants to be faithful to the church and i just want to hear him know that we appreciate you i appreciate you um tremendously and this is for you this is for you that's what you call which i'll give it up for my executive board and my staff these are the staff people these are the staff people thank y'all y'all can be seated y'all can be seated [Applause] and then there's this one lady right here who's been by my side oh that's not that's nice oh look at the picture i did my goodness look at you lisa look at that i just want y'all to know damon whitehurst it is the one of the most brilliant graphic designers on the earth he puts all of these pictures and things and things together he does it all pastor jim did not take the stage today because he is he is in school and he is matriculating i hope i said am i saying that right for his doctorate degree [Applause] and you know when you get to that level there's certain classes there's certain places you have to be and uh he's very committed to completing um this journey that he's on and we are so proud of him we're blessed by him and the church has been blessed by him and we go we got something for him as well so we honor him and we thank him jim pastor so very much he is a part of the executive board of our church [Applause] where do we want to go now i have no idea we'll figure it out as we talk thank you all for yesterday it was tremendous [Applause] would y'all do me a favor would you would you search your heart just for a second and see if by chance i don't know by some stretch of the imagination that you would find me in there somewhere in your heart could you find me in there somewhere and would you pray for me would you pray for me father we thank you for our leader yeah we thank you lord you have ordered his steps and even his stops and so god we pray that you will continue to keep him and lead him and guide him we pray that the rest of his life will be the best of his life we pray that you will keep him whole spirit soul and body but we thank you lord that you have called him for such a time as this lord we thank you for his yes 30 years ago lord we thank you for his commitment and dedication to serve you god to serve the house of god to serve his family lord and so god we pray that you will continue to honor him lord as he honors you we pray god for this church this local assembly god and remember every family every single parent every widow god someone may have experienced divorce but god we think you did that hope is still alive and and you still have a plan for each and every one of our lives we thank you for every business that's represented in this house we thank you for our online church god we thank you god for international exposure that you've given us god and we give you thanks on this morning god we cannot do this without you lord we're like a ship without a sail we need you god and so today lord we just come harambo thanking you lord for the leadership of this house every pastor every elder every deacon lord every person that worked in ministry whether it was the first year or the 15th year or the 30th year god we thank you for everyone that contributes to this house guy we're a great house because of the great god and the great people that you have sent to this local church god to work alongside this man a man of integrity man of character thank you for he has a good name god thank you that he's the husband of one wife god thank you for his children thank you for his grandchildren we thank you for him god [Music] and let him lord continue to see the fruit of his labor he will not go before his time we speak that now and we decree it and we say it is so come on put your hands together and give god praise for our leader our leadership the family of it's it's always been we're not sure exactly what god's going to do but he's going to do something it's always been that way in this house and i thank god for it because there were times when i wanted to do one thing but then something else would pop up i just wanted y'all to pray for me because my feet was hurt thank god we serve a god that do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or even think glory to god according to the power that is at work and every person that is in the sanctuary you're covered by the blood of jesus christ for your efforts for your courage you're covered in jesus name now here's what i need you to do i need you to follow me just for a second i need you to prepare your hearts to sow a good seed into this good ground that god has prepared for us would you get an offering together would you get an offering those you that are giving by way of giving a fly on your phone what you're giving by way of online however you do would you prepare your hearts right now i'm going to ask every member who have not already set uh an amount to give would you just give thirty dollars did y'all see him say yesterday listen i want to talk about giving you don't have a lot of time this is your background music thank you listen i want to talk about the staff and giving because i because as we just honored the executive board and the staff here at abundant life i want you know that your seed that you sow is not in vain and and we all have to live and the workman is worthy yes yes and the workmen is worthy of their hire and so because of what god has been doing and these are not just people that come to work i see him past the angel call people i mean three o'clock in the morning they calling her saying we need you to come help our child i've i've actually called pastor angel on occasion and said i need you to help me with my children and she is so committed and so dedicated to the call of god that she could probably work she probably would work for free not no more no not good not cool we don't want her we don't want her so i want you to sell and if you can just put a special seed in today for the staff i want to ask you to do that today uh it's incredible i love this i love this service listen there's way different ways that we can give you know she's a little touch but different ways that you can give you can use paypal you can use giblify you can use you can mail it in you can just several ways that you can give it if you're here in the sanctuary if you come to the sanctuary you can just drop it in a bucket all right so thank god thank god for you pasta i know you were gonna make me cry this is more than a job to me though it is it's ministry and i get to do it full-time and i'm grateful thank god i'm grateful i love god's people i love the children and parents and the people and so thank you for your liberal giving to abundant life that we can do the things that we do yesterday we gave away so much free food free and guys and the toys for the kids and they were and they wasn't from the dollar store nothing against the dollars because i like it i love downstairs but we had you know prime gifts for them for the members and so yes god is good god is good listen if if you don't know of a reason to sow let today be that day that you begin to tithe that you begin to be a consistent offering giver yes because because the work that's being done here is incredible and it goes without saying it go i mean the the lives that have been changed as a result of what happens here at abundant life family worship church i don't know about you but i could i don't know what i would do without this ministry and so we just want you to support um it's never man's scheme that's always god's plan right and because god plans for everything here he plans for every seed every dollar yes every and lisa listen she's not gonna she's not gonna be a bad steward over the money that comes into this house all these years yeah she's been an amazing comptroller she uh you know there's grants out there if they're whatever and and people come to the church all the time for pay their rent with their car about to lose my house you know and so we do give to the community we give to the members god has allowed us to do that and it's because of your giving and and we give first because the word of god says to give yes 10 belongs to him and so i look at it as uncle sam take his money from my check and so the first thing i do is give pay my give my tithe on give the five and that's the first thing i do because i want because it's reciprocal i keep getting blessed so i keep giving i keep getting blessed like right right i mean for 30 years this ministry has run in the in the black and the green and the not the red not the red but not the red because of your consistent giving and bishop don't get the money you know they'd be like he don't get the money it goes back to our comptroller very capable very wise lisa griffith owens and she distributes it you know according to the church but god is good and we think our leaders should be blessed i believe definitely i believe it so thank god for you we're about to go back progression of church here at abundant life so we put together this wonderful program and that would remind people of how we got to where we are so we got this honor thing going today and we started it in a way that i believe would change people's lives so i'm going to ask you to to sit back and enjoy these next few moments as we take this opportunity to share with you and the world some of the most gracious gifted life-changing people who have helped us to come to this place that we are at right now i am so privileged and honored to share with you without hesitation some people who we declare now to be hall of famers is that did i say hall of famers these are people who helped to shape and to shift the culture of our church they came with unique brainstorming just out the box thinking they came with some strategies and and ultimately they came with serving they served this church and they're serving this church brought us to a wonderful place right now where we are i am honored to establish the first this is this is the first and it will not be the last abundant life hall of fame this is the first will not be the last we we shared some some whole famers on thursday night we shared some on friday night and so we're going to share some on this sunday morning with you i'm going to ask you just hang in there and be blessed by what you're about to experience here we go [Music] [Music] greg swan affectionately known as swan swan could disarm the most serious person within minutes you'd be laughing at his antics so true you couldn't be around swan swan long enough without cracking up or receiving a word of encouragement he was passionate about making people laugh and enjoy life if you were ever in need and swan knew about it he would do whatever he could to assist you so it was no surprise that he found several ways to assist here at the church and make so many areas work smoothly yes from loading the vans each sunday with sound equipment for youth ministry to set it up at a nearby school for an amazing youth services to archiving life at abundant through video and photography to ensuring the audio in the house was solid to assisting the technical needs my god of the drama ministry to transporting guest pastors and artists to and from the church and even providing maintenance and security when needed swan's selfless nature even crossed the borders as he was extremely instrumental in helping us conduct missions in haiti so many of the members who took the trip have commented that it would have not been the same without swan cracking jokes carrying luggage and even archiving the trip with pictures and videos and even after returning to the states and falling ill he was still providing humor and encouragement from a hospital bed to those who visited right so we honor the lessons he taught us all about being authentic service and having a compassion for others so alfwc we proudly salute the one and only swan swan greg swan [Applause] that was my dude to receive this award today is beautiful precious daughter already is going to come [Music] hi how you doing test one two tests okay this mic don't work i can just yeah i get oh i get bishop get the bishops we're gonna clean this out so bishop we'll make sure we sanitary good morning abundant that was phenomenal let me just say that was phenomenal i said hold it together or you're not gonna cry through this dad do that so we're gonna do this right want to first say thank you thank you thank you thank you to my aunt to my bishop for honoring my dad your brother because he truly loved this church so much so that he anointed himself associate bishop he did he did and if you had the luxury of having that conversation it probably went something like this he informed you of his self-proclaimed title you probably looked a little perplexed as to what exactly is that and then he would inform you as only swan swan could oh you don't know say it with me you better check my resume yes he truly loved making people laugh truly he worked in the as you saw in the video in many different capacities but i do believe his favorite was the women's ministry let me tell you why though let me tell you i'll be like dad i think the women i think they got this covered he'll be like no no no i got to be there for my sister she needs me i said you know what this man loves his family his friends and his church thank you for honoring him [Applause] oh [Applause] [Music] melanie winstead waite is a multi-talent woman who has been with abundant for a very long time she joined the church on women's day in october of 1991 as she hit the ground dancing she ministered in the dance the following sunday held dance auditions two sundays after that and even made and designed garments for the dance team to wear wait there's more the judah dance ministry debuted that new year's eve of the same year we can pause there and say this is a great way to join a church family she went on to write direct and choreograph when the music stops the musical two years in a row in 1994 melanie judah lions children's dance ministry was established under her leadership under her leadership in 1997 the dance ministry was able to go to the alvin ailey american dance theater which was the first exposure to professional dance for many of the members of judah in 2001 judah dance ministry became a member of the international dance ministry network she also helped to make that happen till this day melanie still serves as a mentor and support for the judah dance ministry now family these are only a few of the things this woman of god has done here at abundant life this is one of the many ways to serve your church and most importantly serve the lord jesus with your gifts and time abundant life family worship church we salute melanie winstead [Applause] it is with great honor now mel's married and her last name is wade but we always say mal winstead but she got a husby husband so let's all give it up one more time for mel i call him male man this is bad [Applause] abundant life i love it i had to write mines down because there is so much i could say and you know elta alex gave us 60 seconds 30 years but 60 seconds so let's see it has been a distinct honor to serve as a worship leader in this great house of praise worship and the word i came to abandon life seeking refuge refuge and restoration what i didn't realize is that my restoration would come in getting to work i came here ready to rest well that didn't happen in my mind rest was a root word for restoration when actually restore is the root word of restoration if you ever restored or refurbished anything or have ever had to go to rehab or physical therapy mental or you know or mental therapy you know that it takes work a lot of effort and time and energy bishop and pastor mary i am grateful to god that i was placed under your care over the past 30 years i both found and fostered family and so many covenant relationships there's so much more i can say about that but i'm going to go to the thank yous because this is a thank you speech i want to thank the executive board for electing me i want to thank my cousin tyretta meadows for inviting me to abundant life and i joined the very first day i want to thank my aunt elder antonio instead for not letting me [Applause] not letting my gifts stay a secret um when you know you when you join abundant life you go to the back and they ask you if you have any gifts or talents write them down i wrote my my paper was blank of the elder bill where and charge that down in my eye oh my niece dances my new stuff so i'm like okay great um i want to thank bishop for trusting me with the vision when as i looked at the picture there was one time when you actually gave up on me i remember when you asked me early on to draw the picture of the logo and it was you know i drew the logo bishop taught me what symmetry was and he said i want the horns to be you know symmetric i'm like okay you know this was before before it does me and all that and i'm like every time i kept racing and making it straight i'm like okay straight and he's like okay so we got shirts printed and then the next thing i know the horns would turn right side up he got somebody else to do it but thanks beyond to god i want to thank clay bogan i don't know if he's still here and all the worship leaders and the music ministry the sound ministry dave you owe me a videotape um um for the ballet we had a ballet here and i you know everybody was very instrumental i want to thank maliki marie williams who was instrumental y'all giving me music i want to say a special thanks to karen moore [Applause] [Music] [Applause] karen moore karen moore was with with us from the beginning we went from 15 to 2. it was just two of us at that time and i want to say to judah i love you all so much thank you for being teachable thank you for always loving on me you you've always made me very proud and i thank you for the lions who are now leaders and theater and their own companies and i just wanted to say that i pray that your dance will become a travail continue to lead but be led by the spirit hear the sound of a going discerning when to shift from worship to war and praise and let your soul dance [Applause] again [Music] [Applause] [Music] patricia walker has been a faithful member and consistent servant here at abundant life for over 25 years during this time she has served as a ministry leader an intercessor and a trustee patricia was the leader of the duplication ministry many of you have never heard of this ministry have you i'm sure you have it because you all thought it was called the tape ministry listen the tape ministry was your best friend when you couldn't get out of bed and come to church and patricia and her team did an awesome job with it yes they did before facebook and youtube there was the duplication ministry patricia and her team created labels and inserts with a thermal printer for conferences albums and special occasions as well as colorful images for our cds and dvds after all that patricia will handle the sales in the front foyer after each service who remembers that raise your hand i do i do i do with the passing of time and new technology we experience services differently now however patricia remains active as one of our trustees over the years she has tirelessly served in spreading the gospel of jesus christ we are grateful for her labor of love she has always served quietly and consistently in the background so today abundantly family worship church we salute you patricia walker [Music] [Applause] come on yo one more good time for patricia [Applause] yes [Applause] i know some of you like duplication what machine what is that patricia was right on it every single service thank you thank you so much go right ahead sweetheart first of all i want to thank god and give him all the glory and the honor just to be a part of this church this is family i want to thank bishop bless mary and pastor alex you're always behind me when i joined this church there was a need and bishop said sat up right over there and said i have a need because i want to fulfill ministry always calling people to serve and i got up went to meet with him and answered a call bishop always called and there's always be an answer and to this day i'm connected to this church connected to ministry the ministry has grown from cassettes to tape video from dave and and then we went on the cdn dvd um i have passed through a lot in this church and we have grown grown spiritually grown as a leader grown travel with bishop travel to all the functions and every area we behind the ministry but what made this ministry great we had great volunteers and volunteers made this church i'm so glad that it has moved on to technology and i wish i could have gone with it but i had to step back because of sickness of my husband and of myself so i thank god i was able to help out in ministry and serve but together the production ministry remained family to this day every one of them would call me i would call them we check on each other denise has moved into north carolina south carolina i would call it the uk you know it's every connection is most important and we stay together my family is in trinidad i have sisters in hackensack but together i have this family i could call it past merry christmas and call me any day so i thank god for this family thank god bishop and i thank god for first lady [Applause] take this [Applause] [Music] felia elizabeth hughes joined us on december the 16th 1993. it was on her 25th birthday she began as an intercessor and spearheaded a 40-day covenant of prayer she created this for the church for me and for her family yes i remember that she eventually led the new believers ministry and created its 12 required lessons she graciously took the charge to lead the deegan's ministry when we asked her then when we went for bishopric training bishop gardens added another task for us i mean for her to implement right all aspiring ministers had to train through the digging ministries first and that's not quite what she signed up for but she kindly developed the aspiring curriculum and she was volunteering at the time then in 2005 failure and the team kicked off the 40 days of purpose experience that's when we knew it was time to add her brilliance to our staff as our creative arts director she was masterful at creating dream teams and making things happen failure led with unconditional love lots of humor patience and grace she had a way of making everyone feel important absolutely she produced our first hispanic heritage service countless plays and even did the naz twice as a part of our staff she wrote greetings for our communicator and the word for you today created more than 125 confessions and 625 orders of service documents wow she could be trusted to resolve conflicts and difficult situations by providing scriptural base guidance failure worked the background so others could shine ladies and gentlemen this time we shine a light on her abundant life family worship church we salute zelia elizabeth hughes [Applause] 30th anniversary thank you bishop george and pastor mary c wright pastor alex and the entire executive board for inducting me into your inaugural hall of fame along with the other well deserving honorees being more than a half century old legacy has become very important to me and i often ponder how i will be remembered my family taught me the importance of serving doing good and lending a helping hand whenever i can and i did my best to do that while serving there my grandpa was my first teacher regarding the art of cultivation he had two large gardens he planted the work of his hands produced a crop large enough to feed his family and friends importance of planting things that will continue to grow some things you plan to eat and other things you simply plan to admire do both when you serve in ministry or anywhere in the world for that matter your goal must be to create a garden that will return a harvest that feeds and nourishes souls while also developing the beautiful gifts and talents of others for the world to admire for the glory of god here are some lessons i learned while serving and i'd like to share them with you start with knowing and refining yourself be a cultivator of your craft tend to it perfect it make it excellent strive to be exceptional and undeniably good at whatever you do don't be in a hurry and never be sloppy become the champion of your own calling by connecting to christ within you the hope of glory he will reveal the courage and confidence you need to be unapologetically you and to do you well and without conceit be curious about the creative process don't ever lose your sense of wonder use your imagination try new things and don't be afraid of what and who is different than you choose to be a change agent by giving others a chance remember it's people over performance and progress before personality make room for others to shine brightly and set them up for success as the seniors used to tell us one monkey don't stop no show care about the credits credits highlight incredible people who are usually hidden in the background but are necessary to every performance i am still that peculiar precocious and creative little girl with the curious mind my queen mother ethel recognized it welcomed it and nurtured it when a new album came out i read both lyrics and the liner notes i also read the credits at the end of movies because it's fascinating to see the contributions of everyone involved those credits are people just like you who sacrifice and serve for the greater good as i close i was thinking about when queen mother senobia sea wright shared how when she was pregnant with bishop the spirit of god came upon her and stirred in her womb as she prayed in her linen closet so abundantly family what can you give birth to that will last 30 years and beyond bishop george and pastor mary were in their 30s when i joined and here they are 30 years accomplishment what a legacy crazy eddie's in the wiz and a host of other businesses didn't make it to 30 years but you did this is noteworthy in a cause of great celebration bravo now do you remember this this is the church here is the steeple open the doors and look at the people you god's most precious people are the church be inspired get to work thank you again with love [Applause] [Music] dave armstrong he started the video ministry out of bundy in 1993. he simply asked me if i could bring my personal vhs video camera to service to record i remember that you were excited that someone was willing to use their own equipment and serve so you quickly gave him your approval he started out by bringing his camera on thursday night services and he will prop it up on a tripod in the middle of the sanctuary after a short while the church had a couple of old studio type cameras donated to us they came from a company that one of the members worked for at that time you know there were a number of saturdays that dave was up in the rafters at the church running cables from the back to the front over time changes have been made more equipment has added and the ministry evolved into what we have today dave headed up the video ministry for 12 years and worked with a number of different members over the years of course like in every ministry there were a handful of those who were essential to the success of their work you know the truth be told dave was our first unofficial church historian his work captured documented and archived so much of the history of our church so abundant life family worship church we salute you dave armstrong [Applause] [Music] [Applause] behind the scenes not not being seen but always being right where we need him to be y'all give it up one more time for david armstrong [Music] well [Music] first of all thank you bishop pastor mary we met mid 80s and almost basically right from the beginning we hit it off and we came close and gotten closer and closer as the years go by bishop just called me a couple of weeks ago to come come come in about these lanternflies [Laughter] but we got it like that we got it like that whatever um but i joined in 93 and i do remember vividly going to ask you in your office about bringing my video camera that video camera you see in that picture that wasn't the one it was the old-fashioned you know on you on your shoulder type thing vhs and bishop's face lit up because he saw something new that can happen but what it really comes down to is those people behind the scenes alex asked me if i had pictures of me working the cameras and things i said it's called behind the scenes and i'm always behind the camera at home here and that's why you didn't see any pictures of me on the camera on the cameras here whatever i'm behind the scenes guy whatever it's about service it's all about service and two messages came to mind uh one from way back when that pastor mary actually just recently when we were talking brought up and one very recent the old one from years and years ago decades ago um was um the my factor with um anthony wilcox priested here whatever and the gist of the message is when you say something when you say it's my it's ownership but ownership with ownership comes responsibility if you have a car you have to maintain it if you have a house you have to maintain it improve upon it if you have a business you're going to do everything you can to make it successful same thing goes in serving for the lord if you say this is my church you have a responsibility maintain it improve it and make it successful the other message is just from the other night thursday night just for guns he told us he encouraged us get out there listen to the word of god listen to that voice if you have something get out there take that step he will step along with you case in point who knew that me bringing my little video camera out that i used to video my kids and setting up here would lead to something like this [Applause] take your step this is a big church it's a successful church but it could be more successful with you to god be the glory [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ladies and gentlemen there is only one magnificent dave armstrong [Applause] family's here thank them coming out marie danielle rachel matthew they're all here separated somewhere my brother's here whatever and my keisha my niece she's here there she is keisha don't belong here but you won't know it because she's a worker too god bless now we've been doing this church for 30 years but we've known armstrong's for many many years it's we go all the way back to when they started ministry in staten island and his father-in-law [Music] liked me and they they let me preach they let me be an evangelist so so i was an evangelist before i was a pastor before i was a bishop i was trying to preach evangelists trying to make things happen trying to make things happen i'm i'm ready y'all bring that podium out oh that's right we supposed to see one more thing so watch the screen i'm gonna be okay there we go it's about 15 years ago when i sat in this place and these people came running from behind me with a megaphone and construction hack and then i found out it was bishop and pastor mary and it was during 40 days of purpose and it was at a time in my life when i didn't even want to acknowledge god i had just lost my mom and i was in a place where i was kind of angry at god right and i sat down in this place abundant life and i started to learn and i started to grow and i started to mature and abundant life bishop pestimary they are the reason that i am who i am today um they really did create a mature disciple and send me out into the world to be just what god called me to be happy 30th anniversary abundant life um keep learning keep growing you are with the best of the best thank you bishop thank you pastor mary happy birthday thank you i love y'all hey happy 30th anniversary to the abundant life family to bishop george to uh lady mary and the rest of the abundant life family uh we just wanted to say happy 30th anniversary uh we hope everything is going well we just wanted to say happy 30th anniversary from ethan and emily and egypt and dad and everyone else who attended abundant over the years uh we love you guys and uh we look forward to hearing great things hey family happy anniversary i am so honored to have been asked to be a part of this um this moment to honor and to celebrate you all i am blessed i am i can't even find the word to say that but but i am blessed to be a part of you and that i'm honored that god even allowed our past to cross many many years ago um i was a part of this ministry i don't remember the year that i joined but it's been quite some years and i don't regret one day of it thank you for being my family um you all are who i consider friends who have become my family thank you bishop c wright thank you for being my father being a spiritual father past mary for being a spiritual mother thank you all your love and your prayers and your teaching all of that are reasons why i'm alive today i'm alive today because of you um 2020 was one of those years i can honestly say if i could delete it off of my life's journey i would i would but all things really work together for the good and i told god since you allowed me to live and i agreed to stay here don't let me miss it this time and so i'm glad that he answered that prayer and i'm alive today and i'm determined to fulfill whatever that is that i'm supposed to do while here on earth thank you for being my family abundant life you all have no idea um what my connecting being connected to you has meant to me thank you happy anniversary i can't wait to see you all again i really can't i miss you all hey abundant life what's up man long time i miss you all so much congratulations on doing ministry for 30 years and excellence wow i had the opportunity of serving in ministry as music director at abundant life for 15 years and we had so many great moments and so many unforgettable worship experiences who could ever forget the christmas productions the easter productions the conferences the rehearsals the uh revivals map we had so much going on and we put in a lot of work but god always blessed everything that we did i prayed nothing but continued blessings for abundant life and i pray that you guys continue to do great things for the kingdom i love you all miss you all god bless oh praise the lord everybody we are here representing another branch from this amazing couple and family the apex ministry which is comprised of a diversity of pastors and leaders and business owners and i wanted to start with the scripture if i can as i thought about this family we met bishop and pastor mary in 1988 and um they're just an amazing uh couple and family and one of the scriptures i have to take my glasses off so i can read that came to mind was this and this scripture is is when uh saul was troubled and some of his uh those who served him they recommended david and it says behold i've seen the son of jesse the bethlamite who is skillful in playing a man of valor and in the hebrew that's ish kael a man of war prudent in speech a man of good presence and the lord is with him [Music] bishop and pastor mary this is our testimony of 30 years of knowing you 30 plus you've been so consistent in your commitment to the king and his kingdom and you've been committed to serving to facilitate the journeys of others and we appreciate and love you today amen 30 years god bless you abundant life family worship church and pastor mary bishop see right god bless you on this day on [Applause] [Music] okay i have been instructed not to tarry long so i received those instructions now let me give you some instructions if indeed you have to leave my lord please go right in but i labored over this and because i've labored over it i'm going to give you a portion of it and the reason why i can give you a portion of it because i can be back next week and finish what i started but i need you to listen to me very carefully joseph was 30 years old when he entered the service of pharaoh priests the priests start serving at the tent of meetings at thirty find out in numbers chapter four they mourned aaron's death did you know that for for 30 days they mourned his death they mourned moses death for 30 days saul became king at the age of 30. david became king at the age of 30. jesus began his ministry at 30. 30 is a time of coming out of mourning and or obscurity whatever you're in and moving into a greater level of anointing and prominence and we all are about to go to another level there were many that were great at thirty there are many that expire that expired at thirty but there's something unique about the 30 years that god has given this church i i don't i don't have the words to articulate to you how absolutely amazed that i am watching god do what god can do and only he can do in this ministry i've tried to find words try to find phrases to complement this these 30 years and and you the people of god who have made ministry for 30 years so meaningful it was our ups it was our downs it was our ends and our hours it was all that we that we went through that made us who we are and and i'm still searching for words that would penetrate your mind go through down to find its way down through your heart so that you would know without a doubt without any reasoning without any fears without any doubts without any confusion that you would know that god loves us so and that you would know that i love you just as much ah probably not as much as he does but there is genuine love that we have experienced down to these 30 years i can honestly say that the lord has been with us the lord has been with us it is our time to move forward and not to turn back your next my next is up to us we have to answer the question where do we go from here my prayer has been and i i've typed this in my notes this morning and my prayer is lord make us an unshakable people make us a believing people [Music] make us a people who have embraced a conviction of who you are and what you've called us to do my prayer is lord make us firm in our decisions make us firm in our walking my prayer is lord make us an unwavering people we don't want to be people who are one way this day and another way another day lord my prayer is that we will be mindful of our history i don't have the time to delve deep into the history but look where the lord has brought us from mastermind is he and i agree the best is yet to come i'm gonna ask you to take a minute and shuffle your feet right where you are right under your seat shuffle your feet you need to get that blood circulating in some more now take a quick journey with me to numbers chapter 14. quick journey numbers chapter 14 beginning at verse number one listen that night all the people of the community raised their voices and the bible says they wept aloud verse 2 says and all the israelites grumbled against moses and aaron and the whole assembly said to them listen to what they said if only we had died in egypt or in the desert verse three they they asked why is the lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword or our wife our wives and children will be taken as plunder why has he done this wouldn't it be better wouldn't it be better wouldn't it be better wouldn't it be better for us to go back to egypt and they said to each other the bible says we should choose a leader and we should go back to egypt this is the word of the lord thanks be unto god let me declare something to you there'll be no turning back i want to take just a few minutes to talk about your heart your mind and your soul for the sanctification of god's word through our lives comes to us by way of him sanctifying us spirit soul and body your spirit the god consciousness your soul the seed of your emotions the medium between your body and your spirit and it is vitally important that we all come to an agreement an understanding of how god moves and searches the very determinations of our hearts so much so that it will reflect somehow his will for our soul remember i remember the times when and i'm sure you can remember the times when you faced things that you had to do or or new situations that that you were uncomfortable with and and you long for the good old days you remember those days those days in high school you remember those days as alex those days in college away from family away from those who kept you accountable to the things that you're supposed to do but you found yourself doing things and you frag figured out a way to make him good i remember me going to college and for the first time i felt free only to discover that i was still in bondage but i figured out a way to make those days good days it is so even with now the children of israel in this particular text they were feeling something i want to talk to your heart your show your mind they're feeling something and their feeling brought them to a place where they begin to question god god i'm not sure i can trust you where i am right now they brought themselves to the things that they were feeling to a place where they they thought it would be better to go back to where they were back to the good old days and they concluded within themselves that we would rather trust our feelings we would rather trust our emotions we would rather trust ourselves we would not only trust ourselves but we would trust the past more than we would trust where we're getting ready to go but they they had to come to an understanding at some point where they had to discover that there was no turning back they had to figure out that that was just a season and i don't know about you but but god works in seasons for all of our lives and if you don't figure out what season you're in you'll you're liable to miss the new season to begin again if you miss the season that you're in ultimately you'll miss the season that is before you you see now as god leads this church as god's as god leads us as god moves us as god elevates us come on church here's what i want you to be challenged with understanding and knowing that that we must move forward with boldness and never retreat back into the comforts of the past because if you really think about it sometimes the the past seems to be more comfortable than the presence and it seems to aggravate us in regards to the future in scripture in scripture it talks about satan prowling around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour that's what the word of the lord says but for a child of god for every believer we don't need to fear can i get somebody to grab that today you don't need to fear the tactics of the prowler in second timothy chapter 1 verse 7 says for god has not given us a spirit of fear but a power and loving of a somebody help me say a sound mind i hope i'm speaking to your sound mind this morning this afternoon the scriptures goes on to remind us in philippians chapter number 4 verse 13 that we can do all things through christ who does what strengthen us and as we are reminded of these verses of scripture i feel god is again calling abundant life we're calling us today into a deeper understanding a deeper consciousness of who he is and what he is capable of performing in our lives we're coming into a place where not only are we acknowledging that we must give him praise but we have to acknowledge that we must follow his leadership there is more that god wants to accomplish through our relationship with him and with each other i want to revisit just a few things three things this morning and i won't i will probably be able to dig deep into them all but i need to remind you of three things as this church moves to a fresh new level in the kingdom of god not only in the kingdom of god but performing the will of god because we have already decided that we're going to throw away our will and we're going to let his will be done in our lives the three things the first thing i want you to embrace and and be reminded in your heart and in your mind and in your soul and in your life be reminded that you have a calling i need somebody to recognize that you have been called by god for such a time as this and you are in the right place at the right time see as we talk about these things i want you to ask yourself these interesting questions there's questions that you have to ask yourself in regards to understanding your calling let me give you the second one your commitment and let me give you the third one and your courage your calling your commitment and your courage god god what is it what is it what what are you specifically saying to me today guys you got to answer these questions god what are you saying to me today what are you saying to me today we learned just the other night that regardless of what you go through god is still speaking but are you listening do you hear what i hear you got to answer the question god what is what are you specifically saying to me today because what you say to me has everything to do with my calling you got to answer the question lord here here's where i'm standing lord show me where you want me to go show me where you want me to go there's a calling that you placed upon me but i can't activate my life in the pa in the power of the calling except i hear you and accept you show me where to go and then you got to answer the question lord what do you want what do you want me to do because embracing the call requires the work what do you want me to do and here's my prayer for all of us in this moment is that we will avail ourselves that we will give ourselves over again and again and again we will avail ourselves to the to the unction to the unction of the holy spirit that we would come on church that we would surrender our lives again to the presence of the holy spirit that we would engage our lives again yeah we got to come in with our hands raised enter into his gates with thanksgiving come into his cross with praise be thankful to him and bless his name yeah when i hear yes when i hear the music i want to rejoice i want to praise god i want to sing the praise of the lord yes when i hear the gospel being preached i ought to say amen and yes thank you god but more than all of that when we will yield ourselves completely to the guidance to the leading to the to the power of the holy ghost the power of the holy spirit can i get maybe a hundred people to declare that you've hear the call to return back to the spirit for as many as are led by the spirit of god they are the sons of god hear me abundant life we can no longer be children in this next season [Applause] we got to accept the call to be auctionized by the holy ghost and then allow the holy spirit to speak to us today in a way that we can clearly hear him speak speak to my heart holy spirit give me a word that would bring new life ah i wish i can get some of you to shut up and and shut down the chatter of the prowler what the enemy is trying to get your attention in and hear the call from the spirit i'm telling you right now about your life i heard god speak to my soul we don't have time to be playing with unnecessary chatter y'all got to shut that down in this new season your call is going to require you to hear from him because if we don't hear from him we won't move or we'll move but we won't move according to his spirit leading the call the call the call has everything to do with god's plan for your life it is it has everything to do listen i know some of y'all want the plan to make you an apostle the plan to make you a prophet the plan to make you an evangelist the plan to give you a position in the church to plan my god to call you that call you to get credentials so that you can be smarter than the average bear i know you want that plan you want the plan that makes you the head and not the tail and i know you want the plan that causes you to be rich and that has no sovereignty i know you want that plan too but i need you to embrace the plan of salvation [Applause] i need us to get in our hearts and our minds mind that we have been called to bring salvation to the world we need to know that there are people who are dying people that are lost that need salvation i don't know about y'all but i'm done with all these other calls that y'all want to make we need to get back to being the light of the world back to being the city that sits on the hill that cannot be heard back to be the voice the mountain peace of god that people that are weary and broken and bruised and battered and feel like they can't go on but when they hear your story it'll change their lives they're people that are lost and they're clueless to the plan of salvation they have no idea about what their lives can be if they would if they would just turn their life back and over to god and over to the plan that god has for their lives you can't know the plan until you are born again and people are wandering trying to figure out how to get through life and you got the answer you got the answer you got the salvation i wish i can get somebody to hear the call to be a witness for the jesus again and not trying to buck your way and find your way into a place where you get prominence where you start getting a pat on the back where people can push you up and elevate you i love and let me tell you something i will always love the people of god in this church who operated backstage they didn't need to be on the stage to get the job done but they worked tirelessly behind the scenes they they know they don't worry about people saluting them or clapping them oh god help me today but they just want to be in the right place to deliver to the body of christ and to the world that which god has placed in this ministry i wish i could find some more soul winners god has a plan for people and there's a call being made for people to come into the plan of god and secondly god has a call that's going out for people to discover their purpose see god has a purpose for every life that has been born oh god moses had a purpose to lead the children of israel to the promised land to occupy the land god has given them the land it was there it was theirs to possess deuteronomy chapter 1 verse 21 see the lord god the lord your god he says has given you the the land go up and take possession of it as the lord the god of your fathers told you do not be afraid do not be discouraged don't be afraid don't be discouraged don't be afraid don't be discouraged give me 15 more minutes i'll be gone don't be discouraged don't be afraid don't be afraid don't be discouraged you can't allow discouragement and fear to overtake your call god's called you to a place in his promise i'm gonna say that again god has called you to a place which is in his promise you didn't get that you didn't get that you you'll get it tomorrow morning he's called you to a place that's in his promise he will never provide a place without a promise and he gives you a promise he will always provide a place you cannot have a place without a promise you can't have a promise without a place that's the call in the in the text it was that was moses's vision and his destiny to take the children of israel into a new place so the question is what is it what is god telling you to do where is god telling you to go what is god telling you to say that's that's the vision that's the destiny of your life what god is calling you to do what god is calling you to say what he's calling where where he's directing you to be that's that's your that's your that's your vision that's your destiny that's your dream that all that's it i'd rather be in the perfect will of god and do exactly what god has called and commanded me to do than to do anything else no matter what you go through listen god has a purpose would you okay you can't turn around talk nobody okay just say god has a purpose for me you see no matter how bad or how good things are god has a purpose god has a purpose god has a plan god has a will for your life and what we got to do is we got to govern ourselves according to that call that he has made to us so that we can experience what dr guns talked about on on on thursday night fulfillment you see here's what here's another prayer that i'm praying for this house you that are part of this ministry it's not because it's out of tradition not because your grandmother went to church it's not because your grandfather went to church but you're here because god wants you to step into another arena called fulfillment and if you don't hear the call to come here you won't experience the fulfillment that comes from here so there's a calling secondly and i got to get hurry up there's a commitment that has to be made what is commitment the dictionary says the commitment is decisive moral choice that involves a person in a in a definite course of action my god the children of israel had received a calling occupy the land but they lacked faith and commitment they didn't remember the god of the impossible i know some of you right now god has got you in a place where he's trying to direct you into a place of fulfillment for your life but you lack this this faith and this commitment and this courage to make it happen and and when that happens what you do is what the children of israel did was they begin to rely on their own strength and we got to be careful that we don't rely on our own strength especially in this church oh god i don't know i don't want to go there but i refuse to depend on your flesh to get us wet okay i said i was gonna be i ain't got but a few minutes i cannot depend on your flesh to get us where the spirit wants us to be i can't depend on your own manipulated no no stick to my notes let me get to the notes i can't i can't depend on you because because we'll never occupy the fulfillment of god's plan and purpose for our lives if we are dependent on your flesh to get us there i will not i will not i need somebody to help me i will not we cannot we must not rely on the strength of your flesh i don't care nothing about your gift if you ain't got no jesus behind it i don't care nothing about your ability to do what you do if you don't have the love of god to bring that thing into fruition we don't need just another good old song to be sung now we need some songs that is filled with the anointing of god that when the voices are raised when the sound goes forth there's yokes that are being broken okay the children are being sure they lack commitment to the walk by faith and not by sight ministry abundantly life and we're not going to let that happen to us this next season of our lives we're going to engage in the very promises of god and we're going to make a commitment to be right there somebody say i got to commit to this thing when we started this church there were things that i shared with this church and there was a model that i shared always i shared it week after week after week in order for us to get to where god wants us to be we got to have dedication commitment anybody i don't know old school if you you remember babe you remember you're the only one we said you got to have it's a sacrifice a dedication and commitment that's the only way that we're going to as a people of god the body of christ bring to life the call that god has placed upon this church abundant life it's the only way that we're going to bring into manifestation the fullness of the presence of jesus christ in all of our services if you're not willing to make a sacrifice it ain't going to happen if you're not ready real really willing and ready to make a commitment it ain't going to happen if you're not going to be dedicated to this thing it's not going to really happen there's no fulfillment in that if you just man me paying me i'm just coming because somebody else is coming no it's not going to work that way would you help me say it's not going to work that way so what do we need to do we need to recognize the call we need to come into a place of commitment and then we got to take some courage i'm closing we got to get courage y'all know the story man he's they went out to spy the land come on joshua came we went out spotting that and they we there were giants in the land we looked like grasshoppers in their sight and we look like grasshoppers in our sight in other words we ain't got no courage but god has given us a call god has given us some property god has given us some promises god has given us some land god has made our lives better and the only way that we're going to capture it take a hold of it and live out in the fulfillment of it is that we got to take courage i don't have time to go to numbers chapter 13 verse 30 31 where caleb interrupted and called for a silence before the people for moses and said let's let's let's go up let's go up let's go up let's go up and get it now let's go up and get it now okay i'm talking to somebody somebody's getting a prophetic word right now let's go up and get it now there's some things that you've been waiting on you need to go up and get it now yeah you've been believing god for it but you have not had the courage to get up and go get it but i'm telling you it's the day right now right now right now if you believe god will work that miracle for you if you get some coverage and get up and go get it what is it that you've been believing god for what is it that you want god to do for you that you already know he's capable of doing it in your life get up right now i don't know who this is for maybe one person in this room maybe somebody watching right now you've been waiting on the lord and the lord is saying no i need you to get some coverage right now get yourself get up out of the dark room turn the lights on get dressed take a shower and walk out the house and go get what you believe you're supposed to have you got to get some courage to get up there because there's some enemies that's trying to stop you there's some devils and demons that's trying to prevent you from getting there but i need somebody to declare now i'm going to rise up and encourage myself in the lord and know that what god has promised he's able to perform and if he said it he'll do it if he's spoken to bring it to pass i just need to get some courage i need to get some courage that would cause me to tell the enemy he got to get his hands off of my children i get i got to get enough courage to tell the enemy you gonna get your hands off of my finances i got to get enough courage to open up my mouth and decree and declare some things that you believe that god is faithful to do if you just get some courage to do it with him you got to get courage to work with god because he'll have you do stuff that you ain't or you feel you not ready to accomplish not ready to do not ready to get there so my prayer is that you will get a heart of courage [Music] they were scared and they needed courage because as you face the battle battles in your life you you will let me say this and i'll be done every battle that you face in your life is a vehicle to cause you to sense your power every battle must present to you in this next season of of our lives in existence here at abundant life it must be for us the thing that causes us to see the strength that god has given to us not the failure not the weakening but the strength that god has given us every battle from this day forward oh i'm i'm about to mess up your lives but every battle from this day forward i need you to see it not as something that's going to kill you destroy you the end of you or even weary you i need you to see every battle you engaged in from this moment forward i need you to sense in your heart i need you to sense in your mind i need you to get it in your spirit that this battle that i'm engaged in whatever it is the enemy is fighting me with whatever it is i don't put it before myself and i'm fighting myself with it is going to become for me a battle of my winning and not my losing in other words i gotta transform my mind i gotta transform my soul and my heart and my spirit to recognize that the battle that i engage in is not to destroy me but to make me stronger as a matter of fact you got to see every battle as an opportunity to show forth the strength of god in your life i don't know i'm talking to nobody nobody's experiencing any fighting or any fears any doubts railing swelling up in your mind or in your life or against your family but i need you to see the next battle i need you to see the next warfare i need you to see it as a vehicle that's going to produce your strength i know that don't make no sense because every battle that you get in has wearied you it has made you feel like you i don't know if i got god or god got me or whatever but i need you to serve notice on the enemy right now he can throw his best shot look at you anyhow look how far you don't come you didn't get to where you are right now because you were weary and you stayed there now in the midst of all that you were going through you found a way to get up and get back at it you found a way to square your shoulders and say wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute the devil you can't have my family you can't have my children you can't have my money you can't have nothing that belongs to me what happened when you got in the heat of the battle anyhow you learned how to fight well what was in your fight your fight was your courage your fight was the strength of god that swelled up inside of you greater is he i'm god i'm closing that is in you that he that is in i need somebody to shout god has not giving me the spirit of fear but power [Applause] just get second timothy 1 7 and say it every morning say it in the noon time say that night god's not giving me the spirit of fear but a power and love and of a you'll get a sense you'll get a sense that i can do all things through christ you'll get a sense of that you'll get a sense that wait a minute i'm not going to lose again no no i'm not going backwards again no no no no no i'm not going to consider maybe i won't go to church maybe i won't serve the lord no because of the engagement you'd be surprised how many people they've come to us and said you know what bishop reason i ain't coming to church because i'm just in the battle of my life i can't come here because i'm in the battle i'm in the fight of my life i can't do this for the kingdom of god because i'm in the battle of my life you'd be surprised how many people turn backwards because of the fight that they got engaged in but i need to help somebody today your fight your struggle ought not pull you backwards you ought to decide that this is going to thrust me forward because every time i win and let me go back again look at you now i need somebody to look at your hands i need you to look at your feet i need you to look at yourself look at your body look at you look at you you would have never made it if you didn't get better in the fight you would have never ride that way you are if you didn't get stronger in the fight it wasn't outside of the fight it was good that you were afflicted it was good that you engaged in the fight it was good that you felt like you were going to lose but something else got up in you called the spirit of the lord and it rolls up inside you didn't need nobody lay hands on you you couldn't even get your prayer partner on the phone it was the god in you jesus it was a god in your heart it was a god in your mind it was a god in your soul it was the salvation of god manifested in you that even when satan came prowling around like a lion looking for someone to destroy but but we know we know his tactics we're not ignorant concerning his devices come on somebody don't you forget this don't you forget this don't you forget this listen this week i want you to really rise to a new level come on let's start something fresh and new god's gonna give you the spirit of fear the power love and of a sound man i need you to wake up every morning for the next seven days no the next eight days i need you to wake up every morning decreeing and declaring this that i can do all things for christ who strengthens me [Music] no matter what comes your way we're reminded of these scriptures of these things of these words we're reminded of god calling us today listen to a deeper understanding of what he wants to accomplish in us and through our lives let me get ready to pray for you all of this weekend 30 years ultimately was so that we would come to realize what it was that god wanted to accomplish in us what is it that god what is it that god wanted to do in us and it all it all surrounds the calling the commitment the coverage that you make and doing that you allow the holy spirit to speak to your intent in a way that say it again you can clearly hear him listen let's come to that place right now you may be listening to me maybe watching and you're lacking realizing the calling that god has for every one of us and he has a calling upon you and upon your life maybe you're you're lacking in that area and then maybe some of you who are afraid and you you lack courage bishop i i really want to do it but i don't got no carriage to get up and do it i you know i'm tired but i'm praying that you get some courage today and then there may be somebody here you lost a sense of commitment you lost a sense of commit to god and what god has already spoken to your life you see god can give you a word but it doesn't come to manifestation it becomes doesn't become fruitful if you don't commit yourself to it did you hear what tim said about god healing him and touching him hearing from god and he agreed with god y'all missed that y'all just looking at pictures and looking at his beard and stuff you weren't listening that's that's what some of us do in church watch the praise team do their acting we watch hear the sound but we never agree with god turn in something that idiot shall die turning something in your soul turning something in your heart [Music] messing with your mind we never he okay i said i'm close i'm i'm so challenged that in this next new season that we're coming into another 30 years is coming i don't know if i'm going to be here in this next 30 years though though i don't know but what i do know is i'm going to commit [Music] to the lord every part of me i'm going to say to him every day lord what are you saying to me where are you leading me what am i supposed to be doing that gives your name glory and gives your name honor and if i don't ever get a real high degree lord don't let me miss heaven in the degree of my salvation hey come on stand with me we're going to pray we're going to go home as we close today no matter where you stand and i don't you don't have to do this physically and step out of your seat but would you come and allow god to do his work in your life 30 years of doing ministry and and you have no proof of god working in your life you have no understanding of him turning some things around in you hey listen after 30 years and you have yet to be convicted of some sin [Music] babe i don't know can i give this quick testimony that we experienced yesterday we're at the mall we're at the store i needed another case for my ipad where i put my notes i needed i needed another case so i had to go to the apple store to get another case they only and it's the only color they had i want it black but and she said it's a nice color with her neon green on lightening my life you light up the whole section baby and i love it you're beautiful but before we went into the apple store we stopped at this store to decide where black owned and operated and there was a young man i'll be quick it was a young man in there and for some reason somehow they they figured us they figured it out that we started saying church stuff blessing well i forget what you said something she said something and and we got into talk about church and she said one of the owners that she said one of the workers there those young man little thin young man he said he said he said i he says just the other week i got convicted didn't he say it he said the holy spirit convicted me he said i was married to another man and he said the holy spirit convicted me i wanted to run down the aisles and we started talking connie and i and mary we would say you know there are some things that only the spirit of an almighty god can change [Music] that one his one testimony and he went on he said no no you all need to understand it wasn't just the church he said jesus became real to me the old side he said jesus became real to me [Music] i hope after 30 years at least jesus became real to somebody in this house because if he has not become real to you we've been wasting time and the flesh has overrun we overran us we just messed up but i declare in the name of jesus that the spirit of the lord is in this place [Music] so would you would you allow the holy spirit to have his way in you today i don't care what you're struggling with so much so that he is free you free jesus up to accomplish what he desires in you i saw that in that young man yesterday this is yesterday would you would you allow the spirit of the lord to permeate your i know you got plans i know you some of you are stuck in stuff and the only way you're going to get out is jesus has got to get real he's got to be real to you you you don't have you don't have conversations on conversation you don't you don't even went and had you know counseling sessions you you know you you had to sit down and they told you to talk to this one talk to that one and hear this and hear that hear this all of that is good at the end of the day you though to allow jesus to become real to you you free him up to accomplish what he desires in you and through you about your heads close your eyes father i believe i've done what you wanted me to do say what you wanted me to say we as a body of believers we cannot exist without hearing your voice without witnessing moments where you literally speak to our hearts will you pinpoint things in our mind where you cover stuff that our flesh is struggling with and battling in our secret failures our secret flops lord we call upon you now jesus the son of the living god savior of the world make your presence known to a heart somebody's mind somebody's soul needs to be fed from your blood your goodness fed from your love some soul some lost soul needs to ah encounter the peace the love and the joy that only you can bring lord i pray for that lost soul today i pray for that that traveling minds trying to search to find an answer to their dilemma their predicament their failure their sin lord would you invade now let somebody encounter you let a conviction come alive so much so that they turn from their wicked way and not only the sinner but the saint as well lord help us to turn [Music] don't let us jump and shout there's no real conviction that makes us [Music] repent and turn hear our heart today as we cry out to you holy spirit be welcome again in our hearts in our minds and in our souls jesus christ of nazareth come and live make up your abode in us again save us again and then we will be saved forgive us forgive us for not forgiving others forgive us for not forgiving ourselves and lord wash us in your precious blood again make us anew for a new year that's on the horizon make us fresh and anew don't let us take old stuff don't even let us become more comfortable with the past that we fail to enter into our future forgive us cleanse us and make us whole again i ask this in jesus name i know you got to go but would you throw your hands up to the lord in your own special way would you surrender your life to him i surrender all would you just one good time just you talk to him i'm not gonna ask you to come to the altar we're gonna let you go home but right there in your place just surrender just surrender to the lord just surrender well if you want to come to the all to come oh to jesus i surrender all to hear my free bleeding here it is [Music] if you're surrendering a freshener to the lord come on to the altar i surrender we got a few seconds they're wrong it's about you and jesus right now [Music] now listen listen down to the years i've discovered some things about surrendering to the lord you give your heart to the lord jesus christ through salvation accepting the plan of god for your life and then he says that you are after loving me with all your heart love your neighbor as yourself you you got to now connect to a church so those of you that are here giving your heart back to the lord or giving your heart to the lord for the first time the next thing you need to do is come on get connected to the church come on and i know i hate this join the church commit your life to a church that's doing ministry for the kingdom of god it ain't got to be this church if you don't want it to be but it's a good church but find a place where you can get strength you can be taught the word of god you can find the presence of god and every now and then when you go wrong the spirit will convict you and turn you around when you fail to forgive the spirit will remind you to forgive i pray for those that are at this altar it is not by chance and it's almost embarrassing it would be embarrassing if it wasn't so very powerful that the desire for you is greater than the desire to remain where i am and desire for you knowing that you're the one who can save you're the one that can heal you're the one that can deliver i put my trust in you somebody's saying i'm putting my trust in you again jesus i'm i'm getting the courage to stand in you as you stand up in me i come to you today just as i am and i know without a doubt you're receiving me in a fresh new way you declared in your word if any man be in christ he is a new creation all things have passed away behold look all things become new and in the midst of all the giants and all the all the trickery of the enemy lord today i make a new commitment to you to serve you i rise with courage to embrace you even more i'm going to get as close to you as i possibly can in this season of my life lord bless these people in a special unique way not bless them lord with materialistic stuff but let your spirit bless their soul and bless their lives and then lord those that are coming to be a part of this assembly we thank you for their lives and we ask oh god that you will give us what we need to pour into them so that which you have put in them will come to a place of manifestation and it will bless not only their lives but it will bless their family it'll bless their friends i ask this in jesus name the church say amen hey listen if you want to be a part of this church pastor allah is going to walk you over to the side he he we met him at the outreach yesterday wow him and his wife [Music] wow yo y'all take care of him take so he's from the community can i get abundant life to believe that we still got work to do in our community oh my god the mayor of the city of new brunswick he came yesterday he spoke over us i thought he got real close to getting filled with the holy ghost i'm telling you god is still up to something great in this community with this church those who are joining us online every single week thank you if you can't come that's okay continue to pray continue to meet us right keep you from any sickness infirmity or disease the lord protect you from any virus any covet the lord keep you in the name of jesus the blood of the lord jesus christ is upon you and your family in but we had community day yesterday and someone from the community came to join the church today i met an 11 year old named alex and he rode his bike over and participated with the young people so we are so happy we're 30 years strong 30 years strong and i have some special guests with me today this is mr and mrs nathaniel white um how long have you guys been members 2004 for me and 2011 for me all right and they came got him a wife up in this church and how many children do you have we have three three and no more we are finished little danny little singing then he got three babies and he did it hallelujah they are also leaders they're members here but they're also leaders for our campus ministry which is called a life would you tell us a little bit about that yes so um we are the leaders on the rutgers campus of a life along with uh sean tucker and mary tucker and a few others and um what we've been serving at a life for now eight years 2014 2014 so seven years seven years going on eight years and um yeah it's a great thing so anyone that is from the ages of 18 to 25 or up and you're in college come see us we would love to have you there as well the lineup we moved the lineup you moved yeah i thought it was 35 yeah we just yeah we and they don't have to be in college right no you don't have to be in college so just come if you feel pulled then come join us we would love to have you and the time at time and date so we meet so we have three campuses so the rutgers campus meets on tuesday nights and that is at 9 30 we have the other campuses which are kane and montclair they eat meat wednesday and thursday night at 8 30. okay thank you very much for joining us you look beautiful thank you thank you thank you god bless you we're going to have some more friends come in we definitely want you to feel a part feel connected this is the plug in show so you're plugged into all things abundant all things church-wise and look who's coming in this is mr cliff bailey the one and only he is our security extraordinaire he also uh is the driver for uh pastor mary and when uh swans won president mary's brother used to drive her around and when he passed away he before he left he gave cliff a charge take care of my sister wow take care of this church and when i say cliff is the man on it cliff is on it my husband would say one flaw cliff has is that he votes for the wrong football team but exactly cliff is there's only one like him cliff how long have you been a member at abundant life uh i think it was like 2003 2003. and what made you jump in and serve like because you serve above and beyond here all the time uh basically i was i guess it's because of my mother you know she used to drag us to church um i'm talking every sunday um since i was born to a small church in south carolina uh little rock now it's called llp and they and they're they always make us commit to everything and excellence so that's how i did it and just a small nugget my pastor down there and bishop went to the same church up here they used to call bishop they used to call bishop georgie which was funny because when i told her i was a part of this she's always georgie and that was so funny her name is pastor um mary uh mary stoney uh she's down there and they they have the same type of ministry excellence and uh it was hard you know it's very easy for me actually to work with bishop because he has a a very stern uh excellent and i'm always around people small circle and that's what i love to do [Music] can i say from the bottom of my heart i appreciate you i'm sure i speak for bishop and pastor mary that we we honor you we love you we appreciate you we thank you hall of fame yes you're going to be in that next hall of fame we put you in we put you in i'm like cliff and you i'm i appreciate you came dressed up to i see he would raise my kids i love it and you where do you work in new york yes i do i work in new york city wow and and cliff loves bishop's spirit of excellence because bishop is always on time and cliff is always on time and you know i'm like cliff i'm texting him i'm coming i'm running late but cliff is always on time so we appreciate you military military that's it [Laughter] we love you man thank you so much we appreciate you coming on with us and um listen we this this this time this 30 year anniversary
