he's been relegated to mobile games oh yeah yeah people are like make a new one make a new one well we've officially confirmed from from ubisoft that there's a remake of splinter cell in the works being done by ubisoft toronto uh the game's gonna be built on snowdrop which is the same thing they build everything on so you know it's gonna nothing nothing new or super exciting but this is a good news i mean if you like that style game which i definitely do still [ __ ] love it it's made by uh by who again ubisoft toronto oh ubisoft so they're sure there's going to be nfts oh yeah of course so yeah yeah yeah i'm not [ __ ] playing this game if there's nfts i'm not gonna support the game like now i gotta [ __ ] worry about every goddamn game out coming out is ubisoft gonna [ __ ] it up somehow um yeah and remake this this is this is scary so i i looked it up um what do we got the reboot was announced after years of speculation uh obviously stealth me and joe are [ __ ] terrible at that uh but it's still always funny um said some light that he has some ideas for the project to me a remake takes what you do in a remaster and goes a little further with it uh he goes on to state that the plan is to stick close to the original uh design while updating the tech at the heart that sounds good right uh we're building it from the ground up we're going to update it visually as well design elements uh to match uh player comfort and expectations can you build it from the ground up if you're using an ancient ass [ __ ] graphics engine yeah we're we're going to keep it linear like the original games and not make it open world so don't expect the game to be an open world got some details here yeah uh and then you'll go to the top of various towers in order to explore the linear air now i was gonna say it's like no [ __ ] way i'm not gonna jump on like little things we're straddling the line between the spirit of the old and the comfort of the news so we can excite and surprise new players but also make sure that when our returning players pick up the controller they have that side of relief except ah they got it the uh core at the project of their uh a game is a phrase respect the goggles going to [ __ ] hold you to that zoo goggles you shouldn't have nothing at the core of the project is another phrase respect the goggles wes elaborates on this motto i love the goggles as a symbol for sam we are making a game that is going to be modern but built on the foundations of the brand's rich history from the interview it sounds like a challenge and and this stealth that it was originally about will uh have swimming goggles it's good yeah yeah he didn't say what kind of gossip yeah anyways they're stealth furious and they're gonna do their best to do uh you know it justice they're gonna do their best the problem is their best is still not very good they're working for ubisoft and the only thing that you're good at is that groping women who work at the company that's that's the problem that's the thing that has me worried is is what kind of mandates is ubisoft going to have for mandates yeah mandates yeah that's what they're trying to force the women to go on nice nice i have no faith in them whatsoever and look this is also super super super early there's no time frame or you know release window uh we just know that it's being built on an ancient ass graphic engine so it's probably gonna look okay it's not gonna wow anybody and and who knows um the only good thing is this will be after the most recent you remember they kind of shook things up at the top as far as creative control so maybe some new blood will determine and make make the other games kind of feel a little different but i don't know we've played a lot of their games and most of them have been really bad lately so um i don't feel good as long as there's not nfts in it then i'm happy i'll take that back i set the bar as low as i [ __ ] could get some sweet ass goggles yeah as long as they respect the goggles i'll be happy yeah but o.j is right they're gonna be swimming swimming goggles uh all right we that there we final fantasy 14 a game that i have a bunch of friends playing right now uh put out a cool i'll join them oh really yeah uh well no it's being temporarily suspended from sale doing ongoing issues with its servers uh there was a huge surge in user numbers like this is a game that everyone is flocking to wow is on the decline people are you know less excited about new world and this is a stable franchise that the content's coming out that people are really loving so much so that they could not keep up with server demand and they're like whoa whoa okay like we're gonna stop slow down on the advertising we're gonna do everything we possibly can and they can't just add more servers because there aren't any there's a lot of shortages right now on the global supply chain uh semiconductor shortage which is one thing they said is like crazy we just can't that's crazy we are too successful we want to handle that yeah they want to have respect that and good on them for turning that game around and really making it awesome and then doing the right thing by saying stop selling because it could make the game worse by just allowing whoever and whenever to come and wait in huge queues and then have their servers break but amazon did that yeah no this is why i'm giving them more praise and they deserve it that's that's really cool it makes me want to play it knowing i can't play it yeah i can't if i can't have something i wanted but yeah the this is only a temporary suspensions most of the congestion has been eased up even right now uh this was really bad it's so funny that ubisoft is trying to pay people to play their games you remember that game once again we'll give us ten dollars if you play i think it was more than i think it's fifteen dollars and and [ __ ] square enix is over here please please stop stop buying the game stop playing the game yeah it's too many well i mean it's a working game that people who are passionate about are are developing and it's hard to find that nowadays yeah you look at stuff like battlefield nothing in it so so good news if you are uh you know already a player and you want you know more people to play this is a good sign you're gonna get more content out of it all right we also got some new uh information about mass effect it's gonna be made in unreal uh so job listings are suggesting that bioware is shifting away from frostbite for this one which is probably a good thing yes no you have no idea how good that is is it gonna be like i mean okay but yes there's new problems and you can [ __ ] that up right but beca but i hate frostbite and i just hate how uh ea constantly uses it for every goddamn thing that it doesn't [ __ ] apply to and that's why [ __ ] madden is [ __ ] garbage it uses frostbite you want to [ __ ] use frostbite for everything and that's what i have a problem with did you know that the toilets and the urinals in the [ __ ] place run on frostbite it needs to stop it needs to [ __ ] stop yeah okay so that's really cool yeah so that's unreal yeah job listing says bioware is hiring talent hopefully that new unreal from [ __ ] matrix that's some good [ __ ] if it comes out looking like that definitely has potential if they're willing to put in the work for it so that's why they're hiring talented programmers with unreal four and five experience come join our team and work with us on the next next mass change the changing from there this is the thing though they get talented people than like the upper people just shutter your mouth they beat the [ __ ] out i was like no you can't do this stop being creative yeah this is what you're doing that's well i think it's a perfect time to come in now because uh you know of what happened with andromeda and what happened with all these other things and and anthem so maybe they're looking at it in a new way in a fresh way and are open to all of the you know new ideas and good stuff so hopefully hopefully they treat their employees yeah hopefully well i mean look yeah i'm thinking about like the the pro some of the problems is like and we talk about like bland companions and characters like changing the graphics doesn't it makes them nicer looking a new multiplayer shooter um two dudes you're gonna need a lot more than two dudes to get a chance to lay things down just two dudes no then then the smoke you're gonna need a lot more than two guys higher i say you're gonna need i don't know no man sky had like three guys well that's maybe not the best thing that turned out great yeah it didn't matter not an announcement until it was higher yeah all right so daca is gonna be working with the uh creative strategist uh for call of duty and the multi halo 5 multiplayer designer quinn del hoyo to launch a new game studio called midnight society aimed at creating the best most community focused online pvp multiplayer experience the world has ever seen i am cool surprisingly name is some like from his dojo look i'm gonna i'm not hating on this because he is uh you know a youtuber fellow youtuber now fellow streamer fellow personality and i would like i like to see transitions of people who uh to play the games and real gamers and have you know and want things to be better in the games because dr disrespect constantly complains about the games that he plays so this will be a great opportunity to make a new game to put his money where his mouth is and and and produce something awesome and i wish him luck and i wish more people would do that well uh in the industry and stuff and that's your opportunity yeah they've got a career page up uh they're looking for community manager designers engineers artists and more all sorts of people there instead yeah to make this thing work um i mean i think you you hit the the most important thing is that he is so vocal about what he does not like in certain video games talking about changing metas and guns like that for a creative director yeah so if you if he can be in charge and design these first person shooter multiplayer games that you know someone he was playing them what six plus hours a day every single day yeah a lot of experience with the the the gameplay cycle game development is [ __ ] hard you need talented people and you need a lot of them yeah so but i mean we got the the multiplayer guy for halo 5. if it's triple-a maybe they use the wrong words or other people are using the wrong words no that's your place if it's true then sure yeah you can you can get triple a oh i think they should stop throwing around that word because you know set yours manage expectations i would just say we're cool i don't know if dr disrespect is very good four a's because we're way better than the other ones four a's yeah all right uh twitch apex and league of legends went down again this week another uh amazon web service uh crash i saw the layers i was watching football and i saw an ad for the first time for aws i'm like really why are you promoting aws it's not like really i mean it's a commercial for other businesses to watch not a commercial to consumers but i guess they do sometimes do that because like they're like oh look at this and this is controlled by aws and next-gen stats and they [ __ ] showed goddamn madden again and all this stuff they're trying to make it happen stat that's like i will never you saw that too oh yeah it's awesome it's the dumbest commercials ever like no one gives a [ __ ] yeah stuff and your [ __ ] breaks down and it's more caring because that [ __ ] controls a lot of [ __ ] things playstation network apex legends league of legends halo valorem there's a huge amount and my roomba by the way [ __ ] my [ __ ] vacuum went [ __ ] crazy right you're lucky they need a piece of poo poo and drag the whole goddamn poopoo everywhere why is there [ __ ] on the floor they said no it's a joke is what it's called um and by by the way i did get the one with the camera that can go around the poopoo that's pretty cool yeah yeah got it on black friday that's but it's funny because i got it on black friday and then i got it and then right when it was mapping and setting up is when the aws the outage happened and it just went blue it's got a [ __ ] camera it slammed into the wall and just kept going into the wall because i guess aws it runs roomba runs on aws so it freaked the [ __ ] out it was hilarious to watch because your vacuum cleaner definitely needs to be connected to the [ __ ] cloud right now it's like wait what yeah it's a vacuum cleaner i don't know man i [ __ ] love that thing and i i gave joe one like two years ago and does it also make it look live joe it's good you know you love no kidding yeah we [ __ ] love robot vacuums it does all the work for you i highly recommend them if you get yelled at about you you know just [ __ ] [ __ ] on the floor all the time i got a real small place it's really easy to vacuum yeah that's easy for me yeah yeah all right final fantasy remake uh came to pc right and uh there's a lot of inflammatory twitter posts out there but the consensus is this is the worst aaa port of all time this pc port is terrible it's tweeted digital foundry's john lennon a lot of people who have been able to play this just saying like this is not it was not ready they did not do a good job and so as much as people liked it uh on on the playstation the digital foundry usually pretty uh you know smart guys so yeah the quote is pc port is terrible um and so lots of stuttering lots of performance issues um there's people talking about going there just like just going through basic things that you can see when you download the games like this will not work on your pc this is using all the wrong resources so uh another bad pc report good to add to the uh to the list for this year um that's cutting development costs i'm sure square enix is looking for the cheapest way to port it to pc um obviously the original developers aren't doing a pc aren't doing the thing so it's probably this a third-party company that [ __ ] it up yeah but they remember they charged you 10 more dollars for it yeah and that's fine because my god because what because [ __ ] just [ __ ] [ __ ] you give me ten more dollars even though it doesn't work but it doesn't work yeah i got you ten dollars you're dumb you're done oh man people loved how savage you were on the [ __ ] star wars is out now i haven't had a chance to go through it yet so already watched it don't watch it i know this [ __ ] watch it already god damn watch it all while reading a book while he's carving a new mantle this is why he's so intelligent red wine braised short ribs on garlic parmesan mashed potatoes i have not had a chance to i was going to plan to over the holiday uh this so yeah but they released a teaser trailer for a prequel series i was like whoa we're gonna [ __ ] you know see the caramel uh caramorin i can't [ __ ] pronounce any of the goddamn words and more witchers and [ __ ] and the way it was before it never handled wonderfully i'm sure no it is focused on the elven side of things oh yeah they were so great yeah i love the did oh i i don't know anything about it i can't wait to see what you think so one of the uh so there i don't know it just seems like that what you're seeing i was hearing some things that some season two where they weren't liking the direction they were going in and they seemed to be like straying from the books there's a little controversy there oh yeah there's nothing to do with the books you know that whole interview with ign where it's like hey there's so much content we're going to stick exactly what was written because we don't need to do any of that stuff that was a [ __ ] lie they did say that oh specifically like in in you know i thought henry was there and he was going to say hey henry is amazing in it like he's he's by the way the best like he's absolutely the best thing in this this so i imagine every scene he's in he's like jarrod wouldn't say that i'm going to say this instead and they're like okay that's not how it goes yeah he's only one man i i don't know if you can okay anyways witness the untold history of the continent of the witcher blood origin a new prequel series set in the elven world 1 200 years before the events of the witcher cool oh okay uh the witcher prequel series blood origin will dive into the events that lead to the pivotal pivotal con conjunction of the spheres where when the worlds of monsters men and elves collided when worlds collided by thousands yeah sounds kind of all right it's got michelle yo uh that's her egg is working quadruple over he's in everything and i don't know anybody else so yeah as you can see in the trailer there's no girl to be found uh however netflix does know that blood origin is about the conjunction of spears which paves the way for geralt's story on the continent one thousand two hundred years i i i that that's the loosest connection you know not even a real connection so yeah i don't know can the elves be interesting enough do people like elves enough uh maybe they can capture some lord of the rings uh hype and since the amazon series we got no idea what the [ __ ] is going on i know there's sex scenes in it can't wait for lord of the rings because that's what we need in lord of the rings sex scenes i don't know man this is the worst timeline uh yeah okay well i just wanted to let y'all know there was a witcher spin-off series i was gonna be really excited about it but then i kind of learned what it's about and i saw the trailer you're like yeah i don't know in the trailer too yeah i'm a little less excited for it uh i am excited for to watch henry cavill season two hopefully it's good to get season three uh or um they already finished oh they're almost finished writing the script to season three okay um that they've announced that and they were able to do that because they put no thought into the script at all uh and so it's real easy to write not boosting any confidence no i don't influence you at all oh no no i don't god damn it yeah the only influence is in me try to watch it with your pants on okay i do what i want it's my house uh all right the last thing we want to talk about is what the halo event yeah so so you know they said halo details new changes coming to the fracture tenri event you know or you get your the third that armor uh in your armor bay if at the end um oh where you get to earn the armor they showed oh wait no you can't earn the armor they show because that was a [ __ ] lie they what no i mean you can earn it right this one credit card earn yeah they're they're a little confused on the term earned because they say you earn this in the store and you can earn this [ __ ] how do you earn how do you how do you store something in this case it's like well you go to your job and then and then you're in it there and then you give me that money and then you've earned it yeah so he said during the live stream that the battle pass won't have as many xp boosts and challenge swaps in it as much of them will be removed and replaced with cosmetics because so there's too many like [ __ ] [ __ ] you know like challenge swaps which are total [ __ ] facilitating an economy of [ __ ] and then xp boosts which facilitates the economy of [ __ ] so it says less of those and more cosmetics like more [ __ ] shoulder pads and doodads that you can earn but that shoulder pad only works on that this address this is addressed as one of the main criticisms that players felt there's too many of those like challenge swaps and xp boosts and not enough cosmetics in that because remember this is a mini battle pass within the battle with it's an event battle pass and then you have the normal battle pass the second big change is uh cosmetic is that cosmetic only items in the store which charges players real money to unlock such as armor kits weapon skins and more and the event pass will now only be available within the event itself meaning you won't be able to find them at other times hook also commented on the free to play aspect of the multiplayer one of the biggest challenges we knew we would have and no matter what we did we would have this which is changing halo from 20 years of box product models to a free-to-play model it's not something that's going to be inherently satisfying for most of our players like 95. this [ __ ] knew that they were about to piss people off and they go we're going to [ __ ] make you uncomfortable we don't really care we're going to dial some dials here based on player feedback but this is the way it's going to be [ __ ] there if so they know that it's a standalone product but they still want to charge how much for the the campaign which is short and doesn't come with co-op they're like oh no this game doesn't come out come with six months yeah are you done with the game actually somebody broke the code did you see that on twitter somebody managed to get close but no if one of you dies the whole game freezes and locks up but somebody but it was there it just shows you that they're messy behind the scenes some [ __ ] went down a lot of people fix their shits so halo does not come with multiplayer because according to them multiplayer is its own standalone thing that they're bending you over a barrel for micro transaction wise so they want sixty dollars for a game that doesn't have co-op and no multiplayer hook continued and said three four three industries is continuing work on the model further balancing it so that players don't feel unfairly compelled or in-game items while also still feeling like what's available for purchase is still something attractive to players i just hate the way you know halo multiplayer has been treated and what it's going to be moving forward and honestly uh you have to wait for the review on it but you know i'm i'm going to treat it as as one package because halo multiplayer is a separate thing it's not that compelling for me i'm kind of done with it already like you know it's so restrictive and limited at least right now and has been in the past that i get bored with it pretty easy and i guess they're just going to use it uh to make infinite micro transactions that is correct the consumers have nipples and they will milk them halo awesome awesome well that that kind of sucks that sucks that's i ended on a bad story but remember we are continuing to tweak it based on your feedback it's on the list of things yay [Music] merry christmas everybody i
