hell diver 12950 simply personally didn't like Bots and also didn't have much of a soft spot for bugs but like most sophisticates he did really like two stage rocket propelled ordinance Delivery Systems it really was simple as that Max empty Reginald here as a rule I like to experiment so I am experimenting today with a super fast turnaround weapon tutorial tutal the subject of today's tutorial is on the Eruptor and I will be comparing it to the AMR or antimaterial rifle in order to give you a good sense of how this weapon performs in game I've actually put it pretty hard through its Paces so let's Jump Right In This is the Eruptor the Eruptor fires two-stage rocket propelled 15 mimet H fragmenting projectiles it is a bolt action platform fed by a five round magazine it has a maximum range of 125 M and a shock wave radius of 7 m with an indeterminate range for shrapnel the role of the Eruptor in your kit is that of a multi-tool the Eruptor is able to function as a sniper rifle medium enemy Slayer crowd control tool and with good positioning a heavy wounder not exactly a Slayer it's hard to keep the enemy weak spot in your sights long enough to regularly secure kills though I have gotten the odd one here and there however it definitely can add meaningful damage to Chargers and heat sinks it's decent at Hulks and can pop bile Titan sacks easily though good luck trying to kill one of those because you'd probably have to stand around underneath it like I did with the AMR and you are most often within 7 m of the Target though not always and will knock yourself over and wound yourself in the process I've collected a set of shots to kill for various targets not times to kill it didn't really feel appropriate for the AMR or for this weapon for that matter most targets either die in one shot or too many to worry about comparing it to other weapons it's simply within his capacity and you'll have to tough out the time this should be on screen now for you and I hope you find it useful I will say not all this testing was done under ideal circumstances which feels like a great place to mention that I am collaborating on this video with reiken 14 himself I'm personally very excited about this because I've been watching his content for quite a long time so what we're doing is I will be delivering a solid tutorial for the Eruptor as compared to the AMR to give you some context and then rean is actually going to be digging much deeper and going into the other Marksman weapons as well as the sniper weapons and comparing all of them as a block so I strongly recommend you keep an eye out for that I'll put it in the description once it shows up so that way you can go to it and take a look at the more detailed information that he will be providing in the future though I've got some pretty solid stuff for you here so back to the data then you can see the Eruptor has a few places where the number of shots to kill is uncertain and that is because the fragmenting component of the H projectile actually tends to deliver more or less damage depending on its orientation relative to enemies or terrain and as a consequence it actually sometimes gets one hit kills on some targets and sometimes gets two or three hit kills it really depends it does do a ton of stagger though so it's pretty useful even if you don't kill the target outright to hit them it also has a high tendency when fighting Bots and other bugs to take off limbs or take off rocket pods things like that so in comparing these two weapons one of the things you can see is that sometimes the Eruptor does take about the same number of shots to kill a Target as the AMR however the amr's fire rate and magazine capacity as much higher which makes it much easier to get that kill before the enemy can actually react whereas with the Eruptor it takes so long to get through six to eight shots it's going to usually not result in a clean kill if a kill at all I was able to actually find and fight some bot gunships but not the streakers from the bugs that just didn't work out today but for bot gunships it looks like somewhere in the range between four and eight shots I know that's a big wide margin but I'm just genuinely not sure it was really hard to isolate a single gunship to shoot that no one else was shooting at and more than that the projectile speed being as slow as it is makes it hard to make sure I'm hitting the same spot of the target consistently and I even saw some tick marks when I got body shots or apparent body shots so I'm really not sure if I'm successfully doing damage on the engine block or if I'm successfully doing damage on the hull of The Craft I just genuinely don't know and so it's somewhere in the range of 48 shots but it can be done no way that's that's actually ridiculous not my exp is it one tapping them I just yeah I just one tapped it I just was doing this in another game it was like five tapping them yeah that's that's what I was noticing too I was only able to for sure Target a shredder tank one time and it appeared that I was able to get the kill within six to eight shots but I couldn't really tell cuz there was other people around fighting as well the same thing is true with the annihilator tank I had some difficulty isolating one to actually kill myself but I'm fairly confident that you can do damage to the heat sink considering some of the footage that I have fortunately Chargers were much much easier to isolate and I was able to take one out in four shots to the rear so you've seen my data you may have hopefully had a chance to digest it a little bit I'm not going to go through each line item I just wanted to call it some Headliners the big thing I really want to mention here is that the Eruptor is capable of blowing up bot Fabs and Bug holes that is actually huge for a primary weapon and it is also huge for your kit a few other details before we move into the discussion although it says it can take like four shots or so to shoot a Devastator to death in general I am very consistently landing around one or two it's just when you hit the sides or something like that that you don't get the kill easily or maybe sometimes the chest but head shots are always a one tap if you get a clean one and more than that the AOE will stagger and wound the other Devastators in a block if they're nearby so this can be really useful against Devastator blobs it's actually one of its great strengths so beyond bug holes and Bot factories which is Awesome by the way it can also destroy light terrain features like fences boxes mines those weird plant things that explode and the ones that are ice and most interestingly of all is it can actually destroy the ground and you can use it to dig yourself a nice big hole to hide in if you need to and have some time this thing really makes hack of a shovel at can also blow up broadcast Towers which are a side objective that you run into from time to time it usually takes one hit but it can take two if you blow off all of the screens instead of the actual structure while it interestingly can blow up the heat sink on turret towers with some difficulty it can't kill bot anti-air or mortar in placements from what I've seen I wasn't able to find any bug structures so I can't tell you how it performs against those it can destroy shipping containers let's go into a few tips and tricks and idiosyncrasies before we maybe talk about a discussion on this comparison and how you might run this in your kit it is possible to skip the shots of this weapon off the ground they will then air burst a lot closer to you than the alternative 125 M shots that do make it to 125 M when fired without hitting anything will Air detonate it's fully possible to kill a target with the shrapnel from this with an air detonation over say a building or something likewise ricochets can detonate and kill things with the shrapnel additionally the shrapnel appears to explode directionally in an orb out from the explosion so if you land it into a building like say against a wall on an oblique angle the shrapnel can kill everything around the corner from you that you wouldn't otherwise be able to see it's actually fairly useful for hitting targets you cannot see you can shoot obstacles or shoot the ground so you can get around a corner to kill a group of bots or bugs let's get into a discussion on the weapon and the comparison and how you might use this in an actual game okay so this is a sniper rifle and it's got some decent sort of artillery capacities let's say and I think it's good in both of those roles and it is a certainly solid primary despite its slow fire rate as long as you know how to use it and probably run the Redeemer comparing it to the AMR which is also a sniper rifle I would say it serves better against sort of lighter groups of enemies and groups of enemies especially so Striders uh it serves better against Devastator blobs it serves better against Hunter groups because you can blow up a whole bunch of them or Warrior groups or bot groups things like that it starts to fall off a lot harder against hulks or Annihilator tanks where the AMR is able to actually handle build those material assets a little bit better I could imagine a scenario where someone who has a dedicated team to play with actually just runs both of these rifles providing OverWatch against lighter targets with the Eruptor and against heavier targets with the AMR could be really fun in general though I think most people are going to find that this weapon enables them to run something like the laser cannon arthow or flamethrower a little bit more often or even the grenade launcher you might still want to take eats or something like that so that you can pop the odd bile Titan when it shows up or seven of them when they decide to show up but generally if your team is competent they should be able to get you through with a little more than a few strategems of your own I could even see this being paired with something like the machine guns if you want to run those I think the Redeemer is always the correct Choice here because of the high rate of fire making up for the issues that this weapon has the high ammo capacity as well for backpacks this is going to really depend on how you're running and what you're fighting if you're fighting not stealthy and you're just going loud a dog backpack could actually work the laser dog especially the Scythe dog is very strong and will give you that extra cover and capacity for lighter groups of enemies while you are fighting your reload times however if you want more ammo to fire this thing more a supply pack makes a lot of sense that's pretty much how I R it all morning and I really liked doing that basically I think this is a solid sort of artillery SL sniper platform that can handle medium and lower enemies very well but can kind of Grace the edges of heavier enemies and give you an opportunity to run a little bit more flexible kit something that you weren't running before and it can of course also allow you run stuns which gives a ton of capacity since you're going to be able to always pop those bot factories my last verdict on this weapon is that I like it I think it's very strong and I think that it's going to be a lot of fun to use and I hope I've at least elucidated enough information so you can try to figure out where to plug it into your experience with that I'll say thank you so much for taking along with this experiment you'll have to let me know how you liked it I've tried to keep it short and I've tried to keep it as precise to the information I was able to glean as possible because that was my objective have a lovely day everyone and thanks so much for visiting and for my next piece I will be continuing work on the strategy guide that I am building bye-bye
