A Relaxing Day Of Frog Explosions

i did come out here to try to catch some panfish again today crappie specifically but i've been cruising the shallows and it looks like they're all done with the spawn so i haven't seen much for crappie out here yet today but hey that's all right i'd rather catch some frog bass if the bass are hitting the frog i did just see something nip at the surface right over there and then he swam that way there we go decent little guy i don't know if this lake really has much for size as far as bass goes but hey there's still fun if they're hitting that frog you never know we might find some big guns out here today there's all kinds of activity going on on the surface fish coming up there's dragonflies flying all over the place probably watching and waiting to pick those off oh i just missed one right there got him another little guy but hey they're hitting that frog hard oh yeah that is awesome what was that all right it's frog time oh that's a little bit to the left oh no that looked like a really nice bass oh look at that my frog brought me back a flower all right they are hitting the frog today just a little guy but hey it's a frog bass i just missed a big one over there though so we're gonna keep throwing that frog i sure miss frog fishing it might have just been a bluegill no that was a bask that's a little bit better one oh heck yeah yeah he wanted that frog that was pretty cool i saw something peck the surface over there i wasn't sure if that was a bass or bluegill but i bet it was this guy right here so a little too far there we go oh it's still wrapped up there there we go perfect wow that looks like a decent it's one a little bit on the small side but no complaints out of me i don't know what's up with that guy's got some funky blotches going on there on both sides so rinse my hands off after handling that one i've pretty much just been working my way along the shoreline there's a couple other little bays i think i'm gonna pop into we'll give those a try i'm in no rush though i'm hoping i can find at least one nice fish out here tonight i've heard rumors that there's some big ones in here there's this bunch of little ones you gotta pick through i've heard two different people say they've cut six pounders out of this lake which would be kind of crazy considering the average size is maybe 16 inches or so but they are aggressive that's what i love about them come on over here yeah he really wanted that frog so that one looked like it might be a little bit nicer fish [Applause] it's about average maybe a little better than average out here today not much for size but definitely getting my numbers up out here [Music] oh yeah that's a good one right there you can shake my hooks [Music] that's not too bad it was just so much fun catching them on that frog it's been a pretty good relaxing day of frog explosions out here today bye that's all right now when i do hook into a giant if it happens i'd like to get my hands on them but we're all about that same size out here today 15 inches or so maybe a couple slightly bigger they are hammering that frog here yeah these guys want frog for dinner tonight all right i've got one more bait to work around over there then i think i'm gonna call it quits we've got some grace guys rolling in i've still got to cart my kayak up to my truck get all my gear unloaded so i don't want to push my luck too much i mean it's hard to leave when this is going on though of course i'm gonna pick up some weeds on the way back i was trying to hurry up and get that one in pass our feed note here tonight so my frog too there's one right there i've been watching them chasing bait fish around in here probably chasing a little bluegills or something i'm throwing out deeper here i've seen a couple surface out that way oh yeah poked with the hook well no doubt i'm getting my numbers up tonight at least and somebody else surfaced right back there behind me geez this is just too much fun these bass are going on a feeding frenzy right now i'm seeing them chasing bait fish all around me they're hitting dragonflies dropping into the water we've got some grace guys moving in i really should start working my way back to the launch but this is just too much fun i just had another one pop up right in front of me there quick quick get my frog back in commission here where was he right about there that frog wasn't even on the water for a second just a little guy but they are hungry tonight i am going to work my way into this bay here we'll go check it out i have heard a couple splashes from back in there if there's something passing it out come here buddy this is a decent one probably one of the nicer fish we've got today i mean none of them are dinks nothing huge but i have no problem catching fish like this all evening especially when they're hitting that frog the way they are i'm having a blast catching them we've got fish surfacing all the way back in this bay here oh come on get out of those weeds dude he was barely hooked this is absolutely crazy out here tonight i have a fish on there there's still a fish on there just a little guy i think that's going to be the one we end the day on though i'm gonna paddle back get out of here before i get stormed on and just check the weather we've got about a half hour until they roll on through these parts it's perfect it's about how long it takes me to get back to the launch get my gear loaded up and get out of here so that's it for this one i hope you guys enjoyed it i had a lot of fun we didn't catch anything really huge out here today but i definitely got my numbers up and it's always a good time catching them on that frog it's hard to leave there's fish still surfacing all around me i just heard one splash back
