9mm vs .357 mag vs 45acp vs 10mm - Shooting Cantelopes!!!

[Music] hey everybody how you doing so I recently filmed a video shooting a 30-30 model 94 against a whole bunch of cantaloupes if you haven't seen that go check that video out after this one I had quite a few of these rotting extra cantaloupes in my garage and I figured we'd better not waste them so I went into the stable you can see the ammo in front of me I pulled quite a few guns for us to finish off these cantaloupes and test out some defensive ammunition against these rotting cantaloupes here we've got a nine-millimeter 357 Magnum a 45 acp and then a 10 millimeter we're going to test on these rotting cantaloupes let's go over to the bench take a close look at the ammo and the guns we're using then we're gonna get two blasts in these moldy cantaloupes should be a whole lot of fun I'm gonna start in the order that we're gonna be shooting here so for the nine-millimeter we're gonna be shooting some monarch jacketed hollow points I've done some expansion tests with these in the past they don't expand the greatest but we're gonna see what happens with the cantaloupes and we have a very special pistol here for the nine-millimeter we're gonna be shooting a Smith & Wesson Model 59 very sweet shooter in the nine-millimeter for the 357 magnum we're gonna be shooting some spear gold dots you can see I've got some that we've caught expanded there in the past before those are some very very nasty rounds I carried those for quite a long time for the 357 Magnum we're gonna be shooting those out of a taurus model 66 for the 45 ACP we're gonna be shooting some 230 grain Hornady XT PS you may be familiar with those we shoot those quite a bit on the channel for the 45 we're gonna be shooting a Glock 21 very sweet shooter for the 10 millimeter we're gonna be shooting some what is this 170 grain PMC jacketed hollow-point a lot of people discount this PMC stuff but in the 10 millimeter I actually really liked it and for the 10 millimeter we're gonna be shooting a Rock Island 1911 so let's get to shooting we're gonna start over here with the 9 millimeter should be a whole lot of fun alright so we got all the cameras roll first shot is with this model 59 9 millimeter and that monarch jacketed hollow-point let's see what happens to this cantaloupe it definitely had quite a expansion effect you can see there how it kind of split it and you can see those stresses let's go grab the 357 Magnum to see what happens look at these cantaloupe you can see the mold that's on them that's pretty nasty but they'll still shoot now we've got that Taurus model 66 and I'm gonna be shooting that speared gold dot out of it this should put on a little bit better show than the nine-millimeter I think we'll see what happens with this one we'll have to look at the slow-mo but I think I was right that's all that's left out of that one right there let's go grab the 45 with those X TPS and see what happens all right one more moldy cantaloupe and now that clock 21 and those 230 grain Hornady eggs TPS to see what happens with these this should work out pretty good too so this actually is turning out to be pretty interesting for that 45 you can see the entrance there but then look the back half of that cantaloupe is gone so the 9 millimeter went all the way through and showed those stresses the 357 blew it to smithereens and then the 45 took the back half there let's go finish it off with the 10 millimeter and see what happens all right now last moldy cantaloupe and we've got the rock island 10 millimeter 1911 and those 170 grain PMC's these are PMC's 170 grain PMC's for the 10 millimeter this should be pretty cool too let's see what happens with the 10 millimeter [Applause] that one did something even a little bit different so there's the entry and then there's the exit so blew out about the same as the 45 kind of blew the entire top and the back cap off this was a whole lot of fun testing out those different rounds on those rotten cantaloupes I think my favorite is probably the 357 Magnum but let me know in the comments down below which one's your favorite and tell me why but a big thanks to heavy metal guns and outdoors everybody go check out those guys don't forget to check out all the links in the description down below lots of cool stuff down there don't forget to subscribe to the hootie-hoo channel if you haven't already thanks for watching guys we'll see you on the next one [Music]
