what God is doing in Nassau Bahamas given my respect to the holy spirit who is the head of my life to preside in prelate bishop Alfred Owens and co-pastor Suzie Owens first wife's Bishop T Cedric just giving to give but we're giving with the realization that our seed is going to secure our harvest he says if you give sparingly you're gonna reap also sparingly but if you give bountifully you same span of time as one bishop Alfred Owens I want you to give God glory for his life and even while he's yet alive his legacy many years ago bishop owens opened up an opportunity and allowed me to come to this convocation for morning mana I was a much younger preacher than when I was thinking about it tonight that Bishop Owens has opened up a stage for so many people to meet the body of Christ and there's a twisted affinity that black people have with leadership is that when they alive they run their names through the street and then after they die they named a street after all but I want to thank God while Bishop is still alive for the anointing that rest on his life would you join me in no casual way with intentionality give God some praise for our Bishop thank you so very much come on come on goddang jealous he gave them to you we will be robbed and remiss if we did not extend the same level of platitudes to co-pastor Suzie Owens come on give God she is a trailblazer in the body of Christ I and represented God's gospel throughout the world when a one popular when one invoke but she refused to compromise the uniqueness that God has bestowed on her life to the cadre of clergy that have represented to the tears of leadership mother surely sees that our pastor Jenkins give God a hand clever please all again pastor Macklin thank you so much lady Macklin if you have your Bibles I want to issue a warrant for your intelligent arrest and summoned you to Matthew chapter 10 Matthew chapter 10 I want to illuminate just one verse that one verse is version number one Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and every sickness no international version said Jesus called his twelve disciples to him gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and every sickness I want to preach for a little while tonight using as a subject driving on a suspended license driving on a suspended license there's a dizzying documentary but I want you to explore on Netflix called out of reach it stalks a young lady named Christina through the purgatory process called traffic court due to a string of unfortunate events a license has been suspended for an unbelievable 13 years if you've ever had the misfortune to be stuck in California traffic it can be likened to emotional terrorism the only thing more incomprehensible than the throngs of cars are draped in smog is the estimated four million licenses that have been suspended in that state alone can you imagine in one state four million people having their license suspended the question that critical thinkers have got to be asking is how did so many people get stuck how did so many get their rights taken away how did so many lose their mobility how did so many who used to be drivers be downgraded to Pradesh treants many have experienced getting a ticket but are unaware of the subsequent process that greatly impacts the poor a violation that started off at $100 can quickly escalate to almost 500 many are unable to address the initial fine not because of a disregard for the law but the absence of means to get it redressed due to unemployment underemployment or even health challenges when they receive the citation many of them found themselves under the law simply because they had a failure to appear the reason why we found ourselves the ensconced in his glory tonight is that none of us can bear witness that God has ever failed to appear but even if he may not come when we warn him he's always on time it is amazing that the second-leading reason why licenses are suspended he has a failure to pay child support I wonder how many people God revoked their license because they've not nurtured their idea they've not faired their gift or cultivated their assignment by now it should be full-grown and you should be charged with abandonment the third reason why people lung have their license suspended is not knowing when to stop they just keep going even when God gives signs before you ever married um God showed you before you took the position before you took on the responsibility he gave you two emergency exits before you ran out of gas but you didn't know when to stop the fourth reason why it is that people get their license suspended is driving while intoxicated as people become so full of themselves that they no longer have a regard for other people their whole attitude shifts when they sit on the first two rows a false sense of entitlement feel as if they can talk to people any kinda way think that they have the authority to belittle people because they've memorized nine scriptures feel like they're that much more spiritual because they get to talk to Bishop in the back so they get intoxicated and no longer know how to drive straight the fifth reason why it is that people get their license suspended is the inability to submit to authority that they could have gotten a warning but because they did not know how to regard respect and revere somebody in authority they then had to pay the penalty it is amazing how many people like being pastored until they get corrected that they they don't mind you preaching to one but as soon as you call them into accountability and they feel like the Spirit is moving them to another ministry and their season is up I don't want to know who you lead until you can tell me who you follow and if you have a problem with submission you are not a leader you're a dictator there comes a time where you gotta figure out do I pull over because I feel like I am no longer being fed at the risk of church protocol heresy that there are some of you who need to submit to a recess from your position yeah I know this is unseemly at convocation but but something is wrong when you are so enthralled in working the ministry that you are no longer feared by the ministry and sometimes you need to take a break because you start operating like church is a business a corporation or is your own little playground so you don't mind that you don't mind being a part as long as you're in charge but but but as soon as we take your position away now we see you coming to church later y'all not saying nothing to me if you show up at all but there's there's gotta come a time in spiritual maturity where you can tell Bishop I need a break it ain't because I don't see the vision is not because I'm not committed but I need to sit down for a season just so that I can receive because I've poured so much that I don't have anything left for myself y'all ain't say you're nothing because I need 50 of you that can be honest because the church never warned you that you can have the Holy Ghost and be unhappy they they think they never told you that you you can be anointed and suffer with anxiety they never told you you can be a deacon and better with depression I'm sick of praying for other folk but never have that strength to pray for myself I need a season just to be fair and my license no longer works Penza jenkins and seven months ago I I moved to Atlanta Georgia from Baltimore and found a place to live and not soon thereafter I was pulled over I was pulled over and the officer on duty dutifully he asked me to roll down my window I complied yes for my license and my registration I turned it over he said oh you you you that pastor I said yes I'm that pastor he said you live here now don't you I say yes sir I'll live here say well you you you live in Georgia but you got a Maryland license so your license was good for where you were it is not appropriate for where you are I'm giving you 30 days to get your stuff in order there's you right and dirty god I can't hear nobody you you you you have to have a license for your new assignment you you keep trying to drive on where you used to be and you don't understand why it is not effectual and absent of power cuz you trying to do here what you did at your old church y'all ain't saying nothing but you gotta understand that God has got to give me license for the territory for the jurisdiction for the assignment that God has given me in my new season because my old license has expired furthermore you gotta be careful how you handle me because the stuff I let you get away with in my old license I'm not dealing with it in this new Authority because I'm tired of playin nice [Applause] [Music] so he gave me a citation gave me a citation and I didn't take him seriously he was in authority I was submitted under his authority he gave me a warning and I didn't he unbeknownst to me the state of Georgia had then sent notification to the state of Maryland crossing jurisdictions and asked for permission to suspend my license I thought where I was would escape what I came out of and didn't know I had to reconcile my new reality I got a notification in the mail that if you do not comply your license will be suspended I heard David plea Lord whatever you do please don't take your spirit away from me the frightening and unnerving variable there's lost in their ticks is David cries aloud please don't take your spirit away from me and we never hear God respond I'm preaching tonight to just about 72 of you who don't even realize you're driving on a suspended license Samson found himself in an arena and as the adjutant's put my hands on the pillar and he attempted to push like he had done before but it was of no effect God is the only one who will fire you without notification so you don't even know you have lost the power until you try what you used to be able to do and it no longer works for you I just need fifty of you if if you would fifty indulge me but you lift up that hand right where you are and declare out loud Lord please don't take your spirit away from me in about 17 minutes 17 minutes from now you're gonna be able to gain image whether your license is still good are studied by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administration found that in the past here this Calvary that drunk driving reckless driving endangerment while driving laps in child support bounced checks falsified ID and shoplifting are the leap opponents that attribute to a suspended license 80% of those pastor Jenkins 80% of them don't have to do with driving the fake ID shoplifting bounced checks South child support those reasons we'll have your license suspended frightening Lake Oh pastor Susie Motor Vehicles has more precedence on character than the church so the Department of Motor Vehicle says you do not have the right to drive even if you never ran the red light even if you never hit a pedestrian even if you never had an accident if your character doesn't line up then we revoke your privilege to move up we are living in an hour when the church will celebrate your gift and ignore your character so we don't matter what kind of raggedy life you have if you can preach if you can sing if you can raise money they'll still give you the mic y'all ain't saying nothing but God is saying in this hour I don't care about your talent I want to know about your lifestyle is your lifestyle pleasing and holy and acceptable unto me I'll give you your license back if I can see your character restored I say your heart is in the right place you're not doing it for the stage you're not doing it to be seen you're not doing it to get on the mic you're not doing it to jockey for position but you you're declaring create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me some some some people on your own not saying anything because are they in the lazy boy chair of self-righteousness and they they they feel like they deserve it and is their turn and it's their time but I I need those in the room like me that can declare he looks beyond God I can't hear no worshipers in here now I don't know how you anointed and arrogant you you can fool the folk at the church but but God knows who you are behind closed doors it is amazing to know it's amazing to know that two out of three let's get ready to blow your mind two out of three sisters pray even now two out of three black men don't have a license two out of three black men don't have a license and you silly enough to let them use your car while you air work [Applause] what what is what is the impact what is the impact of a community with a men lose their drive the society is so broken down that you out on a day and the waitress don't even bring it to the man just leaves it in the middle of the table [Applause] the other got real quiet right through here and he's so weak of a man then he'll say you got it and you so silly of a woman to say I'll take it the job of a man is to be a provider and to be a protector you don't know how my heart did somersaults tonight that when we went into worship it wasn't just women worshiping but to see men giving God glory was the sign of a healthy church I don't need the sister to do anything but any men in the room that are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ would you just open up your mouth and lift up your voice come on I can't hear nobody I know I want to hear some sisters get behind them [Applause] um some men are give me to get their license back I really thought you would shout better then let me try it again your son is get ready to get his license back that's your husband your brother your father y'all ain't saying nothing to me I came tonight to stop the curse that has been assigned to the males in your bloodline that whatever the enemy been trying to do to the men in your family it
