this week man have we not been blessed in our international 90th international holy convocation all week long the Lord has met us here and we are certainly grateful for his power and for his presence our lives and so we overcome by our testimonies and if you looking for victory in your life and how to handle the storm you can't stay in your storm but you need to come out of your storm get beyond I got good sense so what I'm gonna do I'm a-saying after I preach all right I ain't singing behind no Shirley Caesar I'm not gonna do it I got better sense than that I got better sense of that okay don't tell me nothin I ain't sayin it that's all I know we're gonna get ready to go to the Word of God we're gonna go to the Gospel according to Luke 11 chapter and I am going to focus in on verses 21 through 23 Luke the eleventh chapter verses 80 21 through 23 before we read we make a confession on how we receive the Word of God you got to have the spirit over the mind you got to keep the spirit over the mind because that's the divine order of God if it is the mind over the spirit there's a disorder and whenever there's a disorder there's a breakdown and I don't want anybody to leave here tonight broke down so I need you to stand for a moment lift your Bible your iPad your smartphone if you don't have any of those just place your hand over your heart that word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee and repeat after me if you will have I receive this word with my mind only this word will be dead for me this word will not help me but if I receive this word with the spirit over my mind over my emotions over my fleshly desires this word will be life for me Lord I don't need religious form in fashion I need life why don't you look at somebody and tell them receive life yes Jesus has come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly the vision of the house is to stand for the reading it is Luke 11 chapter verse 21 and Jesus speaks here and this is what Jesus says and whenever Jesus speaks pay attention that's all I'm telling you whenever he speaks pay attention then this is what he says when a strong man armed keepeth his palace his goods are in peace but when a stronger than he shall come upon him and overcome him he take it from him all his armor wherein he trusted and divided his spoils and this is what Jesus says in verse 23 he that is not with me is against me and he that gathereth not with me scattereth I just want to talk for a few moments as we celebrate 90 years of being a light in a dark place 90 years of still holding down when big businesses like Kodak we was in Rochester New York and I saw empty buildings empty buildings that used to be Kodak are not there anymore or Blockbuster used to call it hot Blockbuster but now it's cold it's cold it's cold things are closing down but tonight I want to remind somebody in this message the church will survive before you take your seat would you look at somebody and tell them the church will survive you may be seated do you realize that we actually failed we do not succeed in survival when we depend upon our natural methods of reform we fail and this is the reason why we failed when we use our natural methods of reform we fail because we do not come to grips with the essential problem we go all the way around the problem not dealing with the real problem in fact all of our efforts all of our efforts to correct the evils we see in life are simply rearrangements of difficulties rearrangements of difficulties we try to succeed only in stirring them around a little bit until they take on a different form I'm dealing with this problem today so I'll put it over here and deal with it tomorrow I got this problem but I'll deal with it the next day not realizing that even though I may be trying to move the problems around they're still going to be there our natural methods of reform can never solve the central problem of evil because they cannot come to grips with the power of Satan there's nobody to play with and the devil is real you can act like you're not afraid of him but listen if you don't have a greater power in you the devil will fix you so quick he'll knock you down so quick you won't know what's happening you ever seen some folk they know they're afraid of the dog that's coming after them the big old dog is coming after them but they gotta act like they strong but the dog knows you ain't strong when you backin up don't work you better get away from me though I'll give it a get away from me dog you better get it no the dog say I'm coming after you I see you scared of me the devil knows if you are afraid of him or not so that's why it has to be somebody greater within us I have found out in life that no clever arrangement of bad eggs will make a good omelet try if you want but you just won't work so when the full cycle a problem I ran through what happens the cycle begins all over again the problem begins all over again so here comes man now with his wisdom and man feels as though I've got the answer I've heard people at church there's no other way under heaven whereby men can be saved other than the name of Jesus oh but that's that's just talk natural man says no I know how to survive I have my natural reforms of survival and I don't need Jesus in this and so man has decided and he will use at least three methods of survival that I want to talk about just for a few moments tonight this is what man will use he will use legislation education and a nice environment and he feels as though if I have these three methods I will survive so I thought I would look at break these down for a moment and just look at legislation we know what legislation is legislation is law and law is good but you still must understand law is merely the control of the outward man and has nothing to do with the inward man it does not change the basic nature of man but merely restricts him under certain conditions if the conditions causes him not to get caught he'll obey the law but if I can get away with it I will do what I want to do because I am here to tell somebody you can make laws but you can't legislate the heart and so to be constantly watch through laws when Jesus said if you really want to change you need to fall in love with me and if you fall in love with me you really don't need the law because I'm gonna be the one who's gonna make you do what you do they think about it think about it for a moment think about it for a moment you're in a speed zone area the speed limit is 55 you don't like to drive 55 but at this moment you're driving 55 there has to be a reason that you're driving 55 and the reason is you have looked into your rearview mirror and you see a police car behind you so you're driving 55 but you're talking all the time I wish she would get off at the next ramp I gotta get to where I'm going why is he following me in the first place and then he comes up and he just goes by you and you just and then you soon as he gets by I'm so glad he's gone because you saw the law but it wasn't in your heart so there's got to be something more then legislations got to be something more than legislation and I remind preachers everywhere don't allow your job to become irrelevant there are some who are supporting laws more than they are the Word of God but I'm still here to tell you preacher you gotta preach about the blood you gotta tell somebody that is still the blood that's gonna wash away sins laws can't do that but the blood of Jesus can oh I wish you would look at somebody tonight and tell them the blood still works if it still works it still works I'm so glad somebody's still holding on to the name Mount Calvary instead of Mount law because I'm here to tell you it was at the core well first solve the light and the burdens of my heart rolled away it was there by faith I received my sight and and now I'm happy all the day so I am here to tell you you got to remember because you've got to look at life because outside-in is force law out side in I'm gonna make you do that side in but inside out is a choice and I decided to make Jesus my choice legislation to do it I appreciate legislation but legislation didn't make me do right I decided to make Jesus my choice so man decided that it's it's legislation but secondly man says it will be through education for my saliva I need to let you know from the get-go I believe in education I believe you ought to get all you can get we have been destroyed because of a lack of knowledge one of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 1 in 17 it says learn to do well you don't have to learn to do bad but you got to learn to do well you start out as a little baby you start out just automatically doing bad it just becomes natural ah but you got to learn to do well a little baby it doesn't take a little baby long to find out that if I keep on crying somebody's gonna pick me up if I holler loud enough and cry long enough somebody's gonna pick me up if I just do a fake somebody is going to pick me up because you don't have to learn to do bad but with education I am here to tell you education can be one of the worst so-called remedies for a deranged personality education for a twisted mind is dangerous a twisted mind the position of scripture tells us that all of us are born into this world with twisted minds I don't care what your mama told you you little angel you I am here to tell you we were born into this world in fact Psalm 51 and five says behold I was shapen in iniquity and in sin in sin did my mother conceive me all of us were born into sin so to educate a twisted mind is to make it more clever in wickedness in fact an educated criminal will get upset with an uneducated criminal because the uneducated criminal gets caught and the educated criminal will go see the uneducated criminal in jail he's got to talk low but he's got to talk to this uneducated criminal man what was wrong with you you didn't even plan the crime you didn't even know what time the security guard came on you didn't even know where the burglar alarm was man you shouldn't have got caught you should have educated yourself in the crime before you did the crime educated into a a twisted mind can be dangerous the educated criminal is far more clever and more difficult to catch so education does not basically change a person it only makes you more clever and difficult to catch have you been caught in your wrong yet can't say a man say you got to understand how important it is people of God because man really believes I will survive through legislation I will survive through education but thirdly I will survive through an improved environment if I could just move to the next level of an improved environment a better place but I'm here to tell you that does not change you either when you take a person out of the slums and the way they used to be and put that person in a nice environment you do nothing to that person themselves how many pro athletes do we know born in the slums they have told their story how they had to sleep four in five children in one room because the house was so small they didn't know where the next meal was coming from but in the midst of that house in the slums there was a boy who had a gift to play pro ball he cut out of the slums they signed him with a contract a multi-million dollar contract a mother the slums I can buy all the houses that I want I can buy all the cars that I want I can have houses in different cities and different states in different countries if I want a nice environment on top of the world in your nice environment but then they call you in for a drug test and you fail the drug test all of that work in your nice environment you lose it all because you thought it was the nice environment look at mr. Epstein that took his life a few days ago if you look back over his life he came from a nice environment the man was rich he had all the money that he needed when he died over 500 million dollars in his account it seems as though oh you know if you had 500 million though that's a nice environment but there was a demon that was messing with his mind something stronger he could've bought all the women that he wanted he he didn't have to do what he did but you see when the devil has your mind even in your nice environment he'll take everything away from you it's got to be something more it's just got to be something more than a nice environment there's got to be something more than a nice environment I remember I remember you remember I remember you remember when the President of the United States before he became the President of the United States he said if you just elect me as a president of the United States let's me go to the White House I know I'm not acting presidential now but if you put me in that White House I'll be the most presidential president you ever seen in your life well need I go further he's in that nice environment in the White House but it's got to be something more there's got to be there's got to be something more than a nice environment because some people have made it all the way to the top you got that fine bed that fine bedroom but you can't even sleep at night you got trouble in your home you're dealing with in this fine environment all of these things got to be it's got to be something more bishop it's got to be something more than a nice environment and so that's what I wanted to deal with tonight because man thinks if I got these three areas lockdown survival legislation education if I can improve the environment I got survival lockdown but Jesus comes back and he says no you don't you don't have survival lockdown now I do not mean that these qualities are not good they all have certain values but they do not come to grips with the basic problem and so this is what Jesus says we need a stronger one stronger than legislation education stronger than an improved environment Jesus said you need a stronger one and why do you need a stronger one because you cannot guard your own house you may think you're strong enough to guard your own house but when a stronger one than you comes what do you do the enemy comes in and he steals everything all your joy your peace your destiny he'll steal everything from you because you gotta have a stronger one and tonight I'm so glad because I believe that you have survived these 90 years because you found out who the stronger one is and in case you may not know who the stronger one is I'm telling you it is the power when people laugh at us when they call us crazy when they say the Holy Ghost we will survive y'all I dare you to touch somebody tell them we will survive yeah devil take your best shot we will survive because God is on our side so this is what Jesus does he breaks the power of Satan he he breaks the power of Satan because the strongest chains are not the chains around your body but the strongest chains are the chains around your mind I am here to tell you demons cannot have any authority unless they can find the mind unless they can find a body all they can do is room on the outside so they look for depressed minds they look for minds that are bout to give up but tonight I come to speak to somebody you gotta tell the devil in hell you can have access to my mind this mind belongs to God devil you gotta get away no accents victory is mine in Jesus you gotta realize it you gotta understand it you gotta know it you gotta understand it People of God that's why second Corinthians 4 and 4 says in whom the god of this world has blinded the devil has blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them so that's what the devil wants this is how he's trying to blind the minds of men he's trying to water down the gospel and so you can just have a dr. feelgood message and I wanna go where there's no application where there's no accountability but I looked in the world today everything every organization that is good they have some kind of rules they have some kind of regulation if you go to school there's some rules if you go on your job there's some rules if you go into the army there's some rules wherever you go but people don't want no rules in the church just let me do what I wanna do I wanna do it God and I am here to tell you people of God I'm gonna stand on the word I don't tell who likes it who don't like it you gotta stand the work I'm almost finished i'm almost finished now and paul comes back and says the greatest war against the gospel is not the uneducated but the educated those who thinking themselves wise became fools and changed the glory of god into a lie they trying to make us believe that preaching y'all believing all that foolishness in the bible o everybody that goes to church is a hypocrite and the devil is trying to carry that message and so some people stopping the cop coming to church because they think everybody's a hypocrite well let me tell you i don't care who you are if you pull up to a gas station you don't care how many hypocrites are there if you aren't empty forget you hypocrite I've come to get my fill up I wish I had a witness in this place the devil is always trying to give us some excuses but I stopped by to tell us tonight we will survive can I give you one more scripture this this is going to be for your survival now somebody may not like it but this is what the word says in first John three and eight it says he or she that committeth sin is of the devil you can open up your Bible it's in there it's in your body he that committed sin I know somebody look at me I don't think you should go that far now I know I make some mistakes but please sir don't tell me that I am the devil listen the Bible says he that committeth sin is of the devil if you commit the sin you ain't gonna blame it on God are you it's either God or Satan so you gotta know that it's Satan that makes you do what you not supposed to do how many of you know as it relates to the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost don't cuss I don't think I don't think anybody in here I don't care who you are if you ever lost your temper somebody made you so mad that you cost I don't believe nobody in here you grabbed yourself and said oh holy ghost come on out holy go I bind you holy go come on he that committeth sin is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning but here's the good news is good news for survival for this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil after 90 years look at Friday night the devil in hell no wait afraid of you devil after 9 years we're standing on the wall purpose is to destroy the works of the devil take your best shot devil no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper I'm not afraid of you I am the head and not the tail you gotta speak it in your life you gotta know who you are you gotta understand who you are I need seed to get you a dress in a suit is better for you to plant that seed so you can have a closet full of dresses but the devil has tricked us for so long and the Bible says the world has become wiser than the children of light we're supposed to see but so often we don't see I look at the 20-some candidates that are running for the presidency of the United States all of them have backers they're giving to the candidate that they love they know all of them can't win in fact I don't even know why some of them still staying and they know they ain't gonna win but people are backing them because they believe in their cause we already picked the winner but how often we become the cheapest we rob in the most the one who's done the most for us sometime you just need to stop and ask yourself how much do you think a good pair of eyes would cost the legs you walked in on how much you think a good pair of legs would cost and you get up every morning and you got the activity of your limbs there is no reason that this holy convocation this 90th year should even go close to going in the hole because it's going to be through us and people like us that the church will survive one more thing I'll tell you in New Orleans we learned a lesson in 2005 with Hurricane Katrina we learn if you go back to New Orleans the first thing you better invest in is a survival kit another storm is coming but if you don't invest in a survival kit tonight the church will survive we got to learn how to invest in our survival kit tonight I'm just asking everybody I know you've been here the week but if you got a twenty dollar seed I need you to get it out let's take our survival seriously I just believe that God is getting ready to break out with a serious revival for the church because the world has gone wild United States has gone wild we're selling our morals for profit it's time for the church to stand up and say I'm proud to be the church I've given already but I want to give a survival kit offering because whatever is about to come even as we face election time we need to survive and we need some changes we need to plant into something that we believe in for our children and for our children's children I don't have any gimmicks any games God has already been good to you you ought to think I'm already for what he spared you from he's already been good to you so tonight even if you won't put it on your envelope seeding into my survival the blessings of the Lord is going to be on your life tonight I speak it over your life is going to happen do we have any containers up here because I want you I want you I want you they stand there political rallies they stand up for hours God's blessed us in comfortable seats tonight but we want to walk it and show the Lord the church will survive because of people like us it's got to happen the Lord in the name of Jesus I speak it over the lives of your people tonight for our survival devil you back off you kept this great movement for 90 years and they ain't even seen their best days yet cuz the church will survive I've seen organizations come and go but your church is still standing I've seen best-selling books but your book the Bible is still the best-selling book after all of these years the church will survive so we speak it in Jesus name amen do we have any containers if not we just gonna bring it to the altar and I'm telling you people of God you're investing in some things that you're desiring from God the devil's not gonna hold you down but the victory is gonna be yours come on just bring it come
