hey everybody it's rob with rob finds treasure and i've got kind of a different video for you guys today you'll recall that not that long ago silver picker silver seeker and i did a collaboration on a mystery grab bag that we all purchased from the same seller on ebay we had a lot of fun doing that and we all got different things silver picker wasn't available this time so silver seeker and i decided to go head to head to see who'd get a better grab bag so he jumped onto ebay agreed on a cellar both bought a grab bag and now it's time to claim my victory so before i open up this grab bag mystery bag item that i got from ebay guys i want to make sure that you are aware that silverseeker has a channel listed down below i'll put a link to his channel up here he is also releasing his grab bag mystery bag video at the same time that i am so do me a favor after you've watched mine and saw all the epic things i'm about to get fingers crossed that you check out silverseeker's video and channel and see if he won maybe he got a better bag i don't know what he got in his stuff yet because his video's not been released he doesn't know what i've got in mind cause my bag's not even open but at the end of the day one of us hopefully got a pretty good grab bag we have been asked on the other video several times who the seller was so i figured i would preemptively say i will have the sellers listing and or store information down below that being said i do want to make it clear that we bought these grab bags anonymously from the seller so they have no idea that we're using them on videos on our channel so they could be terrible they could be great it doesn't make a difference the bottom line is you can decide if you like what's in these then perhaps you can check out the seller stuff or not oh totally up to you we paid 50 uh for these grab bag mystery bags plus seven dollars in shipping so i'm all in at 57 of course the seller had to pay the shipping the seller had to pay the ebay fees and of course the contents of the uh bag should hopefully be in that 50 dollar range or at least close to it hopefully close to it all right let's flip the camera around take a peek in this bag and see what goodies lie within so i've already removed the priority bag and within the priority bag was another priority bag and within that priority bag was this bag and apparently we got a happy face with some googly eyes and poverty tape and a thanks on the back so not quite sure what's in here of course but by the feel of it it feels like we have some books maybe and possibly some slavage i don't know but it definitely feels like we've got some goodies here some hard cased uh coinage slabs here and possibly some albums or books or sets who knows maybe some mint sets let's go ahead and get this bag opened up and see what we might have in here and i might have to put the camera down so let me go ahead and get this cut and i'll be right back all right i have got it cut open so i'm ready to reach inside and see what kinds of things we have and i think i'll start with the hard slab stuff first and we do have some hard slab stuff um it looks like these might be yeah some icg slabs and you know what looks like we have some signed slabs and i wonder if these are all the same design or same year let me go ahead and get these out of the rubber band and we'll take a look and see what we got in here all right it looks like we have some icg slab proof quarters the first one is kentucky proof obviously they're giving credit to the artist benjamin blair limited edition 150 out of 10 000 so that's pretty cool that we've got the designers initials on the slab but i don't really understand if they're going to give this any kind of grade it looks like it's just a commemorative type or a limited edition slab with a signature so we don't have a grade but we've got kentucky by benjamin blair we've got mary ellen robinson for the north carolina proof and these are 2001 s's so i bet you it's going to be all of the 2001 s's daniel carr new york daniel carr for rhode island and sarah lee tarrant for vermont pretty cool you know what i have seen these for sale before i don't know if they were limited edition i thought they had a grade but i'm gonna have to look these up if i recall they're probably right around two or three dollars a piece maybe there's a few dollars more because they're signed by the by the artist that designed them but let me just double check and i'll be right back all right i did a little research it looks like individually sell for a little bit more around five bucks a piece but the one selling for five bucks a piece actually had either a proof 69 deep cameo or a proof 70. these don't have a grade so i'm going to just call the whole set 15 i saw a similar set sell for 14 but we'll just give them three bucks each and we'll call the set 15 in value right 15 57 spent in value now let's grab the next item and it feels like it might be a proof set or some type of coin set and it is 2005 us mint proof set and you know what i'm doing this one-handed but i guess a lot of us like to look at proof coins so do i let's just take a look and see what we got here 2005 is not a bad year to have it's a common year but at least you get the second nickel because they had two different nickel designs that year so we've got the five 2005 beautiful state quarters can't get mad at those and we've got yeah see both nickels we've got the ocean in view and of course the bison we got the kennedy half we got the dime the penny and even the sacagawea dollar so nice having the bonus coin with the nickel obviously it's just the standard clad proof and as we stand right now we've got all clad maybe we'll see some silver we're hoping to see silver but you never know either way a set like this you know what it's probably around five or six bucks we'll call it six bucks we'll be a little bit fair and because it is a 2005 set if it was a 2009 i'd be a lot happier but i'll take the o5 let me get this put back in the box stack it to the side and see what the next goodie is next up i feel a little baggy looks like it's got some flips in it and it does all right let me open these up we'll lay them out and see what we got all right the very first item is an 1851 braided hair large scent can't get mad at that judging by the detail they have it listed as good and i definitely say it's definitely good got a legible date the rim's intact and honestly i think it's better than good i think it might even be near a vg but either way they have an 18 value and i'll be honest while the book value might be around 18 on this i have seen these in coin shop bins for about 15 bucks 15 bucks sometimes there's a deal and you can get three for 30 2 for 25 so i'm gonna say assuming that it's by itself and it's not 2 for 25 or 3 for 30. i think we're going to split the difference and call it right around 13 bucks 13 to 15 is probably fair for the value but i'm going to say i'm going to say 13 i don't think this would be one offered in the three for 30 bin it's probably one that would be in the two for 25 or one for 15. so we'll split it and call it 13 happy to have another large scent i'm 99 sure i have 18.51 it's a common year but i'll have to double check to make sure still it's always nice getting a largie in the bag next item up looks like we've got a 1948 wheat cent in average circulated condition average circulated condition and it's not going to be anything better than brown and i apologize for the amount of glare or the lack of detail shown through it isn't a flip so you never can get a good look at them but at the end of the day it appears to be in brown shape it is a common year and to be quite frank even though the shape is not that bad i'm going to call it 10 cents if it was red or red brown it'd be a lot higher grade it isn't decent grade but it's brown so i'm going to call it 10 cents and that's what i only get from that one the wooden nickel does have my favorite top on it though i got that uh native american on the front can't get mad this is the niagara frontier numismatic association so that's cool i know a lot of people do collect certain wooden nickels from different coin shows or whatever and i'm not too familiar with how valuable these wooden nickels go for i know i see them listed on all the time for about a buck this is 1971 so it's kind of cool that it's near 50 years old i guess 50 years old now you know what it's 50 years old now let's call it 50 cents i don't care i'm gonna do it i would pay 50 cents for a wooden nickel a lucky wooden nickel from 1971 is that someone's birthday by the way buffalo new york thank you very much next up is a 79 s proof it's gonna be clad it's gonna be clad again so we've got another clad a half dollar and you know what 79s proof these are nice coins but keep in mind you can get a whole proof set for around six bucks which has the dollar coin the quarter the dime it has actually has five quarters if it's modern so at the end of the day we got to be fair and not price this by itself even though it's likely a deep cameo finish and probably would receive a pretty decent grade minus the fingerprints at the end of the day i wouldn't grade it and i wouldn't really wouldn't spend a lot of money on a clad kennedy proof uh half dollar unless i need it for my album so i would say on this alone we're gonna call it three bucks three dollars i wouldn't i wouldn't pay six for one of these when i get the set from 79 for probably close to six bucks as well next up we have a denver company transits we have a transit token i do like the color and the look of it good for one city fair you know a lot of the coin shows i attend you can put your hand in a bin and get four for a dollar so i'm gonna say this is probably worth a quarter i do collect tokens and this is a beauty so i'll definitely add it to my collection but four dollars for it i doubt it you know like i said you can get four for a dollar at most coin shows and sometimes even better than that we're calling it 25 cents next up we have oh a unico we got a car series token as well which uh which one is this one the studebaker the 1902 model studebaker electric car or electric motor i guess i should say but either way nowadays this electric car means something completely different series one very light obviously made out of aluminum most likely and again it's it's really just a token i don't know what these go for to be honest but i'm going to assume it's a quarter so we're going to add a quarter in value for this one as well next up is a canadian cent nice 1917 king george v again i apologize for the lighting but it's the best i can do with them in flips it's got a little bit of detail a little bit of detail in it but at the end of the day canadian cent they're saying it's 60 cents i guess that's what that means i was gonna say more like a buck because it does have some decent detail but they're saying 60 cents there let me loot this one really quick and give a fair assessment all right i've looped it and i would say it's probably in vg8 to find 12 condition and that puts it about a buck so i'm going to call this one one dollar next up we have oh we have an indian headset and the back is not in that terrible shape but it's a 1901 and they're saying vg10 that sounds about right to me this is about right looks about right as well just a little bit of detail left on the liberty not completely slicked away so you know what it's a 1901 indiana set in vg condition i'm gonna say i can get this for about a buck all day because until they hit about vf or xf they're only about a buck or two and because it's a common date and bordering on vg f12 i'm gonna say a buck so i'll give a buck for the indian headset we're just north of 40 bucks if my math is correct i guess the tracker will let us know and uh we still have a few more things left or at least it feels like a few more things left all right we got this right here nice we will take this this is from the us mint america the beautiful quarters three coin set can't get mad at that 2015 kasachi national forest we've got the pd and s mints and i do like these sets i have not had one personally in my collection so i'll be honest i'm gonna add this right to my collection no no doubter and i know i've seen these itself for a little bit more of a premium than normal you might think rob it's just a three coin set i can get a proof quarter set for five bucks but these were issued by the mint in a special type of packaging and typically they sell for a little more in this fashion i'm not quite sure how much these go for but i would say it's north of five maybe in the ten dollar range but let me just double check before i get excited over nothing and let you guys know all right through my limited research i saw that three recent sales in the last 90 days one was 12 one was 15 and one was 19 basically 12 15 and 20 because it was like 19.99 so at the end of the day i would say i would split all the difference and just call right in the middle 15 for the set probably a little high i don't think i'd pay more than 10 but at the end of the day they're selling for around 15. we'll call it 15 bucks not bad that puts us at 55 and some change and we got something else in here maybe a couple of things so let's check them out next all right what's next feels like an album there's two albums in here i'll grab the oh there's three things in here sorry i know i'm just all you're watching is this you're like rob come on we'll grab the top thing first lincoln cents collection starting 1941 volume two i wonder if that's the other volume in there but let's take a look well we definitely have a collection here it stops at 1958 denver but nothing else and it looks like they're all present and accounted for now they're all common years it's nice seeing some steel sense there are several varieties that i look for especially uh in these years i will check just at quick glance for the more valuable ones i'll check for the 44 d over s the 46 s over d i'll check of course for the 55p ddo i'll check for some of the more valuable rpms on 53 and 50 60s and then of course if we're lucky we have a 58 ddo let me check to see if we have any other varieties that i want to look for on some of them not all but i don't want to take too much time doing that because they are pretty circulated but let me see what that is and then i'll give you an item value for this partial collection even though we have some that are just really shouldn't even be in them shouldn't even be in a collection unfortunately we didn't strike it rich with a 55 ddo or any varieties for that matter you know if i'm gonna be honest in these conditions i would say the wheat cents are probably a nickel a piece obviously you might get a little bit more for the steelies but you won't get more for these ones they're pretty pretty toasty so at the end of the day i'm going to call it a nickel piece puts the book at 255 but honestly we're just gonna call it two dollars and 50 cents it's funny that they wouldn't have left the book intact like why would they deliberately rip the 70s page off of the book uh the 60s and 70s page off just to do that because this book typically would have a third page it's a tri-folding book and uh i guess they want to use that for a different lot or even the last two pages some books have four so they kept this for another set either way two dollars and fifty cents that's all we can add to the uh total we'll add that and see what else is in the bag all right next item in the bag what is this oh we got a couple of presidential dollars abraham lincoln 16th president of the u.s the abraham lincoln dollar coin showcasing this official american presidency dollar coins cover are coins that were struck on the first day of minting so these are first day of minting that's pretty cool two different coins first day of issue i'm not familiar with the price of these i mean we have two dollars in value right there so i'm sure there's some extra value but without them being in a first day of issue slab and just being in this kind of thing i don't know let me do a little research i'm gonna say three or four bucks but let me double check first and we'll go from there well there's just not a high demand for these and i went to ebay and there's been a sold listing at three dollars and another one at 15 and a current listing at 12. so if i take the collective average of all three 3 12 and 15 that's 30 bucks that means they would be an average of ten dollars but that's a tough call i'm i'm not gonna call it ten bucks because my gut tells me that this is probably more like a five dollar set so i'm just gonna call it a five dollar set and if somebody out there is like rob no way you're shorting it then i guess i am i know it is abe lincoln and his stuff's a little bit more collectible but there's been only a couple of sales on the last six months on this so it's not something that sells and again one was sold for three dollars so we're gonna call it five bucks and that's what it is five more dollars all right there might only be one thing left let me just double check yep last thing we've got a washington quarter album and it feels light i don't think there's gonna be much in here let's take a peek nothing on that page nothing on that page and nothing so basically we've got a brand new washington quarter album which don't get me wrong it's a nice one i like these hg harrison company books but i uh don't know why i would have a brand new one if i sold it now it wouldn't be new technically i guess it would be and i wouldn't sell it maybe i'll use it for one of my quarter hunt and fill videos that i'll be starting here shortly but either way there's only a couple dollars for these i think they're 399 brand new or 299 brand new so we'll call 399 brand new but resale plus fees and shipping no one would buy it for more than a couple of bucks so we'll add two dollars and let's make it 2.40 since i like round numbers to round up this value of this bag and we'll call it two dollars and 40 cents let me get all this stuff wrapped up we'll see how we did and some final thoughts so here you have it everyone here is the bag content of the 50 mystery bag and honestly it is a lot of stuff and the value that i calculated does exceed the 50 we paid for it i will tell you in a 50 mystery bag i was expecting to see at least a silver dime we got no silver in that bag and i'll tell you i'm not a big fan of buying mystery bags that do not contain any silver now i'll tell you there was no promise for silver in the description of the listing but it said they could have them at the end of the day we did get some stuff that i would be happy to add to my collection i do love this kasachi national forest quarters right here i'm happy that we got another 05 proof set can never have too many proof sets it's nice to get a new album that i can use for my collection who doesn't like wheat cents albeit i'll have to comb through each of those to see if any of them have any of the varieties that i do look for but at first glance none of the major ones some of this stuff's nice novelty stuff but i'm not a big fan of i probably would consider just reselling or giving away this autographed icg designer set mainly because i don't collect them i don't collect icg slabs but it is kind of cool and pie has some value my favorite absolute favorite stuff of the hunt is going to end up being the large scent because i love large scents and it doesn't look that terrible and of course the indian headset and i know these don't have the most value per se but i love myself some older us coinage let alone u.s copper sense i guess the last step here is the last you guys to please let me know what you think of this 50 spent on this mystery bag in the comments down below and remind you to go check out silverseeker's video let me know who did better did we do
