frame but then I remembered this exact same brick also came in a variation with a trim and I kind of typically avoid these trimmed wallpapers just because they don't work well if you want to have like a one tile piece or like a Corner that is next to a one tile piece because then it won't be there it'll disappear so it's kind of frustrating when you want it to be in a certain place and it doesn't work exactly how you would expect it to but I think for this build since it's so boxy it worked out really nicely and I just really love the way the house looks and like the shape of it I typically go for these boxy houses with a chimney on both sides of the roof and just a very simple roof line for these sort of like English cottage looking houses in this world and I just think they just they just go here so nicely and so many of them if you look in like like Pinterest for ideas and stuff like that so many of them are shaped this way of course there are some that are more intricately shaped and more interesting looking and I did actually just create one on my CC Channel that I called it like a storybook Cottage just because I tried to create one of those really more interesting sort of like Whimsical roof lines that a lot of those like really cute uh like Cotswold colleges have and so I really liked the way that one turned out and I've just been very inspired to build in this world for my main Channel which is of course this channel because I've built in Hanford on Bagley quite a bit recently since well basically I started my CC Channel I just build over there all the time just because I think so much of the custom content is like really beautiful in this world but I felt like I haven't built here without CC in such a long time so I really wanted to build a family home of course without custom content on my main Channel but anyways here at the back of the build I really wanted to have like a sun broom because I definitely imagined the family that lives here really likes plants because they have a full Garden they have planter pots they have a little garden shed which is this extra room on the side of the house with the mossy roof I thought that was so cute I was like so proud of that and so what the greenhouse room ends up being is actually the kitchen and I am completely obsessed I did something also similar to this on a build in this world for my CC Channel a while back and so was kind of inspired by that this build was actually really heavily inspired by my CC Channel because of course building here in general like I mentioned the kitchen area but also one of the bedrooms so I was trying to imagine of course the family that lives here and I think that it's a Generations Family Home and so there's three different Generations here there's the parents and I think it's honestly just like a single mother who lived here with her two daughters that's what I was envisioning but of course you guys could switch it up depending on your particular Sims or who you imagine living here but I was thinking it was a single lady Sim who lives here with her teen or like young adult daughter and then her child daughter and the Teen or young adult has a baby on the way I think I I made like a little nursery corner and I don't think the baby's here yet I think they're definitely on the way and I just really like that idea I did something similar um on my CC channel of course like um I was mentioning it being heavily inspired by things that I've done over there and yeah recently or at least not too long ago I built a room and I built one that I kind of Imagine would be for like a younger Sim and it wasn't like the main bedroom of the house but it had a bassinet in it I just really like that idea because I feel like I build so many family homes where the parents have all of the children in the house and that's not always the case and I've also built several things that are like a like for Generations but usually I typically make like a grandparents room or something like that and I don't add the extra generation from like the children and so um yeah I think that's a lot of fun hopefully you guys will like that anyways here you can see I'm planning out basically like the layout of the whole lot this is a 30 by 20 lot in the like more rural Force the area of the world and I really wish we had more 40 by 30 Lots because I feel like for a farm world I mean of course we do have like the 60 4x64 and a couple 50 by 40s which are really big lots and then we only have one 30 by 40 and then several 30 by 20s and then like even smaller ones than that I don't know I wish we would have got some more of those Middle Ground sized Lots because this one I mean it's an okay size but for fitting a farm on it it's kind of cramped but I think I made it work I fit an animal shed like I wanted to I fit a chicken coop like I wanted to also there's a full garden with these large planter beds and I do fully stock it at the very end of the video I go through and I pick out a lot of the like oversized harvestables that came from cottage living but also some like fruits and vegetables and berries that came with all of the various different packs and like base game and then I do a whole row of planter pots at the back of the build and I fill those with flowers and then a couple of them I do put the mushrooms that came from cottage living just because I thought that would be kind of fun and then a couple of other things that I included that I don't think are actually in the video I think I was adding them in like when I was taking the screenshots but anyways is the stump that the rabbit can live in or a rabbit can live in so there's going to be rabbits running around a lot and then also I added several of those birdhouse trees because I wanted there to be like a lot of birds flying around the lot because I really wanted this to feel like you're in the forest there's lots of bunnies and of course birds and then I believe foxes can show up too I'm not sure if that's like a lot trait you include or if that's just like the part of the world where the foxes show up I don't know I don't know exactly how that works just because I never actually play a live mode so I'm not sure about the details of that but I really just wanted it to feel very like secluded um anyways here I'm picking out a couple of planter decorations to put here at the very front of the lot um just for basically decoration and then also picking out some Landscaping items like these really cool stumps and tree trunk that have like mushrooms and stuff growing all over them and then of course a lot of the plants that I'm using came from cottage living just because they're my most favorite flowers I use them in nearly like every single build just because I love the colors of them I love the textures of them and they're just so beautiful with each other and with other plants and I just I'm completely obsessed with them and so I used a lot of them on this lot and I really just tried to have fun with the Landscaping I really enjoyed adding all of those mushrooms I think they add so much like character and they're so cute and like playful and make it feel like a bit magical in some way I don't know speaking about I was kind of thinking of maybe like a way to twist the story of this family so like I was saying how I imagined it being like a family of girls I was thinking that maybe the baby is going to be a boy Sim and I was thinking that maybe this family has like a curse or something on like the male household members or not even household members but anybody in the family and maybe it's not even a real curse maybe it's just like a Superstition that the family has and so maybe there's just been like a lot of coincidences and I don't think they know what the gender of the baby is going to be so they're kind of nervous is going to be a boy and then once they find out it is then maybe they go looking for a cure to the curse or maybe they I don't know I don't know what they would do but I just thought that would be kind of an interesting idea but I also think I've been watching too much stranger things recently because my husband and I have been watching the fourth season I believe it is and we had watched the first two like a long time ago and then we just didn't keep up with it and so recently we have been binge watching the rest of the show and now we're like completely hooked and like into it so I have like curses and things on my mind but um I thought that was kind of a fun idea and kind of like a fun way to maybe twist the story and make it maybe make it look a little bit more interesting even though I didn't like fully think it out or anything maybe you guys could jump off of that and come up with your own story for your own gameplay or something like that because I think that'd be kind of interesting but anyways over here I'm just picking out a couple of decorations to put on this little side pathway and also in this garden shed so in the garden shed I wanted it to be like a functional space but I also wanted it to have some really cool decorations and I just really love this planting station that came from Eagle lifestyle that's so messy and cluttered and has like like spilled pots on it and like soil everywhere but I also included the potting table that came from uh season so I guess it's actually a flower arranging table so your Sims can do some flower arranging in here but of course if you're not into that then maybe like a woodworking table would be a better idea I don't really think any of the other activities that are kind of like outdoorsy shed or garage related like some of the stuff that came from Eco lifestyle like the uh like candle making station or the juice making station I don't think any of those would fit in there just because they're so oversized like I really wish that the Sims team thought about that more because it's very hard to make a build like that big to fit those items in at least it is for me and if I do make a build that big it just they feel awkward and kind of like the proportions seem weird to me like I feel like working with smaller spaces make things look like more proportional and like they go together so I don't know I just kind of get frustrated with those objects but anyways here the first room that I am decorating is going to be the kitchen and I decided to continue with this more like uh turquoisey green color that I used on the front door and these side doors over here and so I brought this into the interior pretty heavily like I tried to make this build quite matchy but I really enjoy doing this in I mean a lot of builds I mean sometimes I try to make things not look too matchy on purpose but it's one of my favorite ways to decorate I think it's so fun just picking out things that go together and making them all cutesy and I just love this color and of course like the refrigerator came in this color in so many decorations I tried to not overdo it of course you guys can let me know if I overdid it with the green but I tried to just bring it throughout in some of the furniture pieces but um something that I need to mention is this stove in here on the opposite side of the wall is a live edit object wisteria plant and I did size it up and part of it was poking into the wall and I drug it away from the house using the tool mod but but I've done this before and it blocks objects sometimes from being functional so I need to play test the stove and make sure that it works and if it doesn't work I will remove the Wisteria on the outside of the building I'll try to get it to work with the Wisteria there because I really love like the overgrown look of the house with all of the Ivy and Wisteria everywhere but I do need to play test a few areas like that that has like the Wisteria so close to it just because I've ran into so many problems in the past but anyways as you can see I'm cluttering up the kitchen with lots of different decorations I really tried to make this home feel like fully decorated nice and cozy with lots of extra clutter pieces of course we recently just got the two newest kits called the pastel pop kit and the everyday clutter kit so I tried to utilize some of those clutter pieces not all of them necessarily worked in this particular build but some of them did and one of them that I really loved was the chess set that I put on the coffee table it's just like a nice little like boxed board game chess set and it has some like really cute like decorations like with the the pieces and just like the boxes and it's just really adorable so I thought that would be a nice decoration to put on the coffee table and then also I put a few different like coffee cups around because we have coffee cups now that are purely decorative and they're so cute and ah I love them there's also a set of them that are like three of them bunched together and I kind of I like them but I wish we would have got each one of those coffee cups or teacups separated because there is an option that's a teacup that has like a little tea bag hanging out of it or like the little um tag part of it but we don't have that as a decoration by itself it's only with the cluster of them and I wish it was by itself I would have used it definitely in this build but um anyways over here is going to be the dining area as you can see I'm bringing more of that green color in with the dining chairs and then also this nice little cut over here I thought that looked really cute and then I also used a couple of side tables that came from high school years and I put the tea set that came from my wedding stories over there I thought that was pretty perfect for the build and then this is the chess set that I was talking about so it has some like books about chests it looks like on it and uh like the the box and everything it's just so cute I really like it um over here I'm picking out the couches that I wanted to use in the living area I really wanted to use that one big couch that came from cottage living but I wish it would have came with a matching love seat this particular love seat that came from Nifty knitting actually is like the same color of green so I ended up using it and I probably could have used the long couch and the love seat but it was throwing me off that the loveseat had so many pillows and then the couch had no pillows and I just I don't know I could have probably added some decorative pillows from like the decoration that came from the Little Campers kit but I just decided not to and so I just used two of these ones and then the chair came from cottage living and I thought they actually looked really cute in here and I think the loveseat size actually worked better for the space and then over here I do have a bookcase this one came from cats and dogs and I'm just finding a decoration to fill in that empty space over there and I don't think that empty space on that shelf has any slot points on it because you can't really fit anything but thankfully you can just use like the nine key to raise an object up and of course if you are a PC player then you could raise it up using the tool mod which is for me the best way because then you can get it to the precise level instead of the increments that the 9 key can like are only locked to because sometimes things are floating or clipping into an object and it's not very perfect but um anyways over here in the entryway I used another object that is a clutter object that came with one of the kits that came with the everyday clutter kit and it's just like a nice little like hanging bag decoration and I thought it looked so cute over there in the entryway and then here's going to be the downstairs bathroom it's a pretty simple bathroom but it's a full bathroom with a shower a tub a sink and a toilet and I meant to put a litter box in here because I did add a food bowl and a scratching post in the kitchen and I completely spaced that I imagine this family having a cat so um yeah I'll definitely put one in here because I definitely think the child Sim is very much into cats I put a few decorations in there that are related to cats but also there's animals in general I was thinking that the child Sim is very much like a child of the forest and very in tuned with nature and connected to like the forest and the animals and just has like a special bond with them I thought that was kind of a cute idea and then here I'm moving on to the second floor just copying over the same flooring that I used throughout the main living area as well as the bathroom the bathroom I'm using pretty much the same objects and decorations that I used in the downstairs one it is a little bit bigger so I fit this cabinet in here and it also covered up part of the window that was clipping through the wall just because yeah the placement of the windows didn't quite agree with the layout up here but I think I made it work and you can't quite see it because of the cabinet and then the cabinet also gave the Sim some extra storage space so I imagine they keep extra towels in here and extra like robes or slippers or whatever else you might want to store inside of your bathroom and then over here the tree was just poking through the house a little bit so I'm just fixing that quickly and then picking out the wallpapers that I wanted to use in the bedrooms I decided to go for all cottage living wallpapers so both of the kids room well the kids room and the teens room as well as the mother's room and I decided to go with this light brown trim on the bottom just because they all matched the best and then I could use this floral one that matched the wallpaper throughout the rest of the build because I really wanted the trim to match I really wish actually that the wallpapers both variations of them that we got with cottage living came with solid swatches because they're all they're very beautiful and I love the patterns but I wish we got some solid swatches that would be awesome but this is going to be the Mom's room so the master bedroom if you will I don't know if you would still call it a master bedroom if it's not like a true like Master Suite with an ensuite bathroom I don't know it's just a regular bedroom that the oldest Sim of the house lives in I guess or like the parents of the house um anyways I don't really know if that really matters or if that made sense but anyways in here I thought this room turned out to be so cute I have the side table over here with a radio on it and some decorations and I loved using this dresser cabinet or wardrobe that came from I believe it came with movie hangout but I thought this wooden Swatch of it was so pretty and it looks so worn and it just made it feel like really old and so cute I just really liked that a lot um and then over here is going to be the kids room so for the kid like I mentioned this kid is very much a child of the forest like I was saying and so they're very friendly with animals and they particularly like cats like like their favorite animal and I think they have a bond with the cat of the house and probably they're the primary caretaker maybe this kid was even the one that asked for the cat and so maybe the mom of the house said that you can get the cat as long as you take care of it and this Sim was like that's no problem because I love animals basically but I also think they have a strong connection with like the bunnies and the foxes and the birds and the cow and basically the chickens and all of the animals that surround them and so maybe they're even a bit magical I don't know like how far their connection goes with animals and if they're a bit magical but I guess I was having a bit of a magical feel while building this house because with the curse and everything I was just thinking along those lines but um yeah I think this room ended up being so cute and I love the hints of green everywhere I thought that was pretty nice and I loved putting those little plant decorations at the very end of the bed I thought that was really adorable and then there's also an arts and crafts table in there so the SIM can do some skill building which I thought was nice and then over here is going to be the teen well I don't know if it's a teen it's a teen or a very young adult but they have found themselves pregnant and so they're going to have a baby so I put a bat cement in here and yeah I don't believe this Sim was seeing anybody but maybe they were I do think this Sim is not as connected to Nature in the forest I think they're very much into like the city area and so maybe they spend a lot of time over there maybe they met somebody and that's how they're having the baby but maybe it was something Supernatural and that's why they're having the baby I don't know I think that could be kind of fun too but anyways I used this bassinet that came from werewolves just because I think it's so cute and I love like the stars and the Sheep hanging from it and I just made like a nice little corner over here with some toys and more like um baby related decorations and then in here I was basically just trying to pick out decorations and like a bed and everything that I thought matched the wallpaper so it's very heavily on like the pink and red color scheme but I thought it looked really cute and I love these shelves that I put over here underneath these smaller windows and I just cluttered up with a bunch of different decorations and I thought that looked super cute over there and then I also clutter up the dresser which is right next to the bed and something that you may have noticed I used two single beds and pushed them next to each other just because I wanted the bed to be smaller I tried placing a full-size bed in here but it just felt like it took up too much space and I really don't know how much bigger it was than this bed but it's definitely bigger and it just made the room feel kind of crowded basically so yeah that's it for the interior and here on the exterior one there to be an outdoor dining table so I just put a little two-seater one over here in this nice little yard space and then I just put a few decorations around just trying to fill in the spaces I also add some exterior lighting and then all of those planter pots that I was talking about so yeah this is pretty much it for the entire video I'm just gonna add the lights like I was talking about and all of the plants inside of the garden and the planter pots that I was talking about too but this is it for the video I hope you guys have enjoyed and I hope you guys do enjoy the screenshots so as always thank you guys so much for watching and please leave any comments or suggestions that you have and I'll talk to you guys soon bye [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music]
