A New Home for the Pancakes 🥞 // The Sims 4 Speed Build

foreign welcome back to the channel and welcome to another Speed Build today I am back doing a build for another Towny family from The Sims 4. this one is gonna be for the pancake family or Bob and Eliza who are pretty well known in The Sims Community as everyone seems to Love Bob and really not like Eliza because Bob just seems really miserable in this relationship and Eliza seems kind of mean and I really enjoy the whole concept behind this family especially because a few years back or quite a few years back now when they first added toddlers to the game they uploaded a different version of this family to the gallery where they added a sun for them named Iggy pancakes so this house is actually going to be for both Bob Eliza and Iggy and so I'm really excited to share this it ends up being a house that sort of matches this neighborhood but also just looks like a cute Suburban home and we had a really fun idea I say we because I did build this over on stream first I do stream five days a week over on twitch.tv graffiti if you'd like to join us but we thought that perhaps since Eliza is you know kind of a perfectionist and neat and all of that that maybe she was very into the color beige so the inside of this home is very beige and very clean and I think it came out really cool I think it ends up really fitting well for this family and there's a little cup they're like there's a couple nods here and there of things that perhaps Bob picked out or he kept from a previous place and they don't exactly fit with the rest of the house but I love that I feel like it adds to the storytelling so definitely let me know what you think of this build and of course if you do end up liking it and you'd like to download it it will be available on the Sims 4 Gallery you can find it under my EA ID which is Griffey gryphi and that info will also be in the description down below as well so about a bob and Eliza pancakes Bob is a slob gloomy loner and is a Master Chef and then Eliza is materialistic knee perfectionist and her aspiration is she wants to be a mansion Baron so she wants to be wealthy and like living the life and they just have this cute little house in Willow Creek nothing wrong with it you can see of changing the shape here I just didn't feel like it was fitting with what I was going for and I think this works so much better this ends up being a two to three bedroom home I say that because one of the rooms I don't actually keep as a bedroom but it could be used as bedroom if you would prefer to and that's gonna be the one that's in this section of the roof that I'm adding here now this is supposed to look sort of like a garage on the side I don't end up having it as a garage but the idea of having like a small room up in a dormer portion is what it was going for over here so this room over here actually ends up being sort of a rumpus room uh or if you don't know what that means like a bonus room it it's got like some old furniture and like games and stuff it's a fun space I know not everyone has the extra space for that but I have seen it in some houses before and I thought that that would work really nice over here and it gives me a space to put some of the things that I think were Bobs that didn't really fit into the rest of the house so I do in this house have them sharing a bedroom I know in their original one they had two separate bedrooms I'm thinking they're working on their marriage currently but they both still have their own separate spaces so that rumpus room upstairs is more of Bob space and then there is an office downstairs that I was thinking was more for Eliza so that was the concept behind that and the front of the house is really coming together now this is the shape we ended up going for and I think it looks so cute I love the upstairs like balcony I really enjoyed that space I don't actually end up putting too much out there I believe we get a yoga mat towards the end of the build but I did add a uh What's this called a basketball hoop outside I thought it'd be really cute as Iggy gets older if uh Bob taught him how to play basketball it just sounds like a really cute bonding experience and I love about pancakes so I liked that idea in the back here I'm just trying to figure out like a back deck I don't end up keeping that one tile in the corner but I liked the idea of the corner stairs and then we're heading inside to work on the floor plan I did end up kind of like going back and forth a little bit in this build to figure out where things were gonna be because I really wanted out a chimney to the side of the build but I wasn't sure if that's where I was gonna have the living room or not so I decided that I would figure out the interior layout before I finished the outside so that's what we're doing now in the front of the house there that is where the office space is going to be and then back here is actually going to be the kitchen and dining and the couches end up over on the left side of the build so that's not where I have them right now but I quickly realized that that was going to be the West the West the best way to lay out that space and then this was going to be where the kitchen is those are not the like pieces I'm going to be using I was just placing down whatever pieces of furniture I saw first to get an idea of the layout and we'll go back in and pick items that match more for the style anesthetic I was thinking for this family so no worries on that I'm pretty sure I do use those couches though but in like the cream color because I just felt very pancakes to me that's the other thing about deciding you to make this house super beige beige is like the color of Pancakes it worked really nicely Browns and beiges in this space and I really wanted to use these base game encounters I'm pretty sure they use these in a different Swatch in their original house and I just felt like they were exactly what I wanted and I wanted it to be a pretty big kitchen since uh you know Bob is a or wants to be a Master Chef having a nice kitchen for him I thought was kind of important but it's pretty clean and tidy since you know Eliza lives here too and of course they added a couple of items throughout that are for Iggy so we have some like toddler themed items and a couple of things that were originally for infants as well I I don't think I kept all of them because I just got excited and then I was like wait icky's not an infant icky is a toddler so you know I go back and forth a little bit with that but that's going to be the layout of the kitchen I will be adding some more Decor in there a little bit later but I adore how the shape came out how I laid it out it just feels so realistic to me and I think it's perfect for this house and then that leaves space for a small dining room right off of it here just like this Square little room I like how I didn't really use archways in most of the house it's just a couple of walls to sort of separate out the space to give you any idea of where each room starts and ends but it's still pretty open I quite enjoyed that other old house was bad um the layout was really weird the stairs were huge and everything was just really dark and I felt like having a more open light and bright idea for this house would be really nice but of course also bringing in so much beige I just I really liked that idea and uh my chat when I was building this over on Twitch was so on board about uh Eliza being a huge fan of beige and Bob just being like okay I guess so that was pretty much the whole concept of the inside other than like it being a nice little family home and looking a little bit nicer than the old one where the colors are kind of all over the place uh the only thing I kind of like in the original home is I'm pretty sure they have like a built-in TV unit using the cabinets from base game that looked quite nice oh and of course I needed to use this painting you can see on the wall here I'm going to be moving it into the dining room a little bit later but that's a big painting from the dino game pack and it's off pancakes so of course the pancakes helps hold needs to have a painting of Pancakes uh that was very important to me but on the table in here I just get this little basket I put a couple of like salt and pepper shakers in there I thought that was really cute and this like fruit cake as well and then we're gonna be putting a high chair over here moving the pancakes photo in here and then I put an extra chair there as well so that way it looks like they can pull up another chair at the table if anyone comes over and I think I had a plant over there yeah I did and that's pretty much it for the dining room other than decorating the hutch which I got this little plate that I thought could be like a handprint that Iggy put there I thought that was really cute I just wanted to tell that story of they have this child that they really love even though their marriage is kind of like on the Rocks right now uh maybe in gameplay we can fix that up I think it would be kind of fun to play as this family I've never played Just pancakes before uh but I really like how this house came out so I do hope that uh if any of you are interested in playing as this family you will enjoy this house I have been having a lot of fun creating houses for the townies lately I know I did a few before this like the Calientes were a really fun one that I did recently and I'm actually in the process of working on a new home for the land grab family I started that on stream like a week or so ago but I didn't finish it because it's huge and I've been working on it in my own time and I'm hoping to have that out sometime this week or next week it's a big house because you know the land grabs mansion and I'm just really enjoying it so I hope you're interested or excited to see that because I'm very excited to share it but anyway this is the living room space of course Very beige in here I love this fireplace I think it is perfect for this room it's from the growing together pack and as is this rug I thought this rug was gorgeous I also got like a little basket of toys over in the corner for Iggy and I'm trying to think what else oh yeah in this back area I kind of made this sort of a like laundry room slash what is the word I'm looking for um where you would like leave your boots and stuff I don't know why I can't think of that word right now uh but like the room to enter in through that is separate from the rest of the house so you don't like get mud all over the house mud room there we go I did it I figured it out anyway uh in the living room here I just have like a chess board on the table we have a toy box in the corner so that there's actually toys that Iggy can go ahead and play with I also got like the little memory box up here as well as the owl statue that has like the two parent owls and the baby I thought that was really cute for the idea for this house so that's what I did and then I thought it would be so fun to have a piano in the entryway that's an item that I'm just so excited to have in the game I was pumped when they added that with growing together and I just thought it would fit nicely there and maybe it's like a hand-me-down I don't know if anyone plays it maybe when he grows up Iggy's gonna be like a famous pianist I think that would be really cool uh but anyway working on the mud room now I just get like a place to hang up some coats we have our washer and dryer and I should be getting some hampers back here as well I believe we also put like the fire alarm and the thermostat back here if I'm remembering correctly as well as the parenting board as your Sims are probably going to need thoughts for their young one as he gets older and it's a pretty simple room back here also I love this little wood sign and I use it a lot but my twitch chat has many times told me that they view it as a live laugh love sign and so of course Eliza needed that so I'm placed that there I was quite happy with it and then we are working on the downstairs bathroom I just got a shower tub combo in here a sink a toilet it's a pretty simple bathroom but I think it's nice it matches the rest of the house and of course quite a bit of beige I will say that the rug I ended up putting in here like the bath mat is more of a yellow but I do come back later and switch it out so no worries on that I later on realized I'd be better off using the rugs that came with the bathroom cutter kit because they come in like a really perfect beige color for this bathroom so I will swap that out but for right now there's the yellow one in here and then I should be getting a little cabinet and a plunger pretty simple uh the one upstairs is the one that I put the toddler potty in for Iggy but anyway this is going to be the office space I have a couple of the bookcases from the latest book no kit the space game desk a nice plant in the corner we have an accent wall of brown and then just getting a computer and stuff in here like I said it's pretty simple with all of these tiny houses I want them to feel fully decorated but I don't want them to be overly cluttered so I feel like I'm going a little bit more minimal than I would if this was just a random build for random Sims so I I don't keep everything super busy but in the entryway here I just wanted to have this side table with a mirror above it we have some plants and a little clock and I believe I got a rug in that hallway as well I also really enjoyed putting that grandfather clock there I thought it looks so cute but anyway we're actually in the upstairs bathroom now I placed down the furniture but then I wanted to show off getting some of those other decorations so we should be figuring out the rug here shortly yeah these are perfect I like them so much better uh they just fit really well and then I will also be adding the toddler potty and I also got bathrobes for them of course they needed to add Bob's iconic red bathrobe in this house so that's what I did and I normally give Eliza a green one because of her shirt but I decided with the whole concept of this house being beige that she would have a beige rope so that's what I did here and then just got some clutter up on the counter and then this is going to be their bedroom I did swap out the bed a little bit later but at first I went with this one and all of the furniture was white and there was just something about it that didn't feel quite right like it looks fine I just didn't feel like it matched the rest of the house and since I was thinking you know Eliza decorated all of this or had somebody help her or was just spending too much time on Pinterest looking at beige Interiors um that this room just felt a little off I it didn't match the rest uh so I will be changing out the bed a little bit later and I think it looks a lot better once I change it uh but I wanted it to be clear who had what side of the bed so on Bob's side I have his like red water bottle and I had a couple other things over there like some gaming things I wanted it to be clear that you know they each had their own space that felt very them I was thinking you know maybe he does some gaming up here because you know he's not supposed to do that downstairs in the clean pristine beige house and so that's what he did but he also has the rhombus room up here which he could probably play games in I just kind of liked the idea of putting the TV in the console in here like maybe he moves it in here when she's not looking so he can lay in bed and play games that is so cozy I love being cozy while gaming so I understand so I liked adding that I also added a slable over there as well as a game controller there's some clothes on the ground and then I also gave him a retainer and some lotions so pretty messy bedside table it's not like got a lot on it but it's definitely not as put together as like the pretty tray that Eliza has I really wanted to represent having slightly different ways of approaching things like the whole house for the most part you know Eliza has kept very clean but Bob is a lazy slob which nothing wrong with that but it doesn't really work too well with or he's not lazy he's a slobbing gloomy he's loner that's what it is I was like oh an L one but um he's a stop and that doesn't really go well with any Sim so I think a little bit of that messiness will come out in the bedroom but anyway this is the bedroom for their toddler son Iggy as you can see it's quite beige but it still has some fun to it with the wallpaper with the like leaves on it and I tried to add a couple of items that were slightly more colorful that perhaps Bob picked out at first I was thinking of this play mat but that's actually for infants so I get rid of that in the ends I just didn't make a whole lot of sense in this room but I liked the idea because it's so colorful I did add a couple of these like sculpture pieces that came with growing together though that like kids could have made I liked the idea of Bob and Iggy working together to create some really cute spaces like that but overall I think this room came out really nice I think it's a really pretty one and I know a lot of people will not like it because it's for like a sad beige child uh which is like a thing I feel like a lot of people talk about nowadays but Eliza decorated them anyway in their room I decided to change out the bed for this one it's not quite beige it's like a creamy peachy color uh but the concept behind it was that they needed a new comforter and so Eliza sent Bob out to do the shopping and that's what he came back with and he was like it's close enough so that's what I did here but this is gonna be the rumpus room of course I had to add the actual poster of the pancakes in here I just needed to I also added this sofa from the basement kit and I used a few basement kit items in here I was thinking these were like old furniture from Bob's apartment before him and Eliza got married I liked that idea and so I just thought maybe they saved them and they were just kind of thrown in this room and this is a nice little hangout space uh so I should be getting some sort of rug in here and then I end up getting the coffee table that is also from the basement kit I think it is such a cool table I really like it I wish there were some swatches of it though that were slightly better condition I know I haven't grabbed it yet I also wanted to add a a like um oh my gosh I'm looking at treadmill a treadmill in here because I believe there is some workout equipment in the previous house that I think was Bob's so I thought just having that in this space would be nice but this is that coffee table I had mentioned it's a little bit worn down but that works for the storyline I was talking about but I really like the style and then I realized that one of the portraits that came with that pack is actually a wedding photo of Bob and Eliza so I decided to pick the cracked version and I hung it up on the wall above the steps and then I also have a chest table in here did I not add a TV in here I don't think I did uh but that works with the idea that I had of bringing the TV back and forth from this room to the bedroom so he can like lay down in bed and game I liked that idea and then I added a couple more of these posters from base game just to make it feel a little bit more playful in there and have like movie posters and game posters and that sort of stuff it's just a hangout space but moving into the backyard I'm getting some Landscaping back here we got lots of bushes and low-lying fence not fence line Bush uh and then somebody in chat was like wait does the toddler slide have a beige Swatch and it does I've always thought the swatches on that toddler slide from the toddler pack because we also got one with like the pre-order of growing together but the toddler slide from the toddler pack has like a purple Swatch a blue Swatch and a beige Swatch so it was beyond perfect for this house so I will be grabbing that here shortly in the backyard the getting a beige slide for a little Iggy to slide down and I also get some monkey bars back here as well for when he ages up isn't that perfect the beige slide I like it I mean do I like it I don't know but I think it's kind of fun I also got our trash can out here we got a barbecue and I believe like a bench I keep the decorations out here pretty minimal fairly minimal uh but I think they still look quite nice I also added a couple of Planters I don't know if these Sims would actually use them or not but I liked the idea of it it could be the kind of thing where they picked up with the idea of doing some gardening and then they just never did that I think that's pretty realistic deciding you're going to pursue a hobby and then just never getting around to it so that's pretty much it for this build I really hope you enjoyed it I had a blast coming up with this space for the pancakes let me know what other Towny houses you would
