you're watching the 2018 ligado summit father Donald Calloway our next speaker is the vocations director for the congregation of Marian father's and is a convert in a powerful way to Catholicism he's a modern-day prodigal son and prominent Marian priest father Callaway was a high school dropout banished from a foreign country twice institutionalized and jailed repeatedly boy his parents were proud of him then huh but never gave up on him certainly and prolific author on Mary and on other faith topics father Don Callaway provides truly and I know this because I know him personally he provides insights powerful insights into the infinite accessibility of God's mercy and God's closeness and and how our closeness with our lady helps brings about much-needed harmony and peace to our life father Callaway is renowned conference speaker on the divine mercy and the correlating apparitions and messages of of Christ to the Polish nun you know her sister Faustina Kowalska the Divine Mercy shrine in the 1930s and father Callaway is the author of seven books once you experience God's conversion you can't stop talking about them so ladies and gentlemen let's welcome father Donald Callaway [Applause] all right awesome so happy to be with you guys you guys are good people I was talking to you some of the in the hallways and meeting you and I've spoken at a ton of legatos events and I've got a couple even lined up as we speak and come in to various places across the country to be with you good people so it's always a blessing so you heard about my past filthy disgusting life from father Leo thank you for the leo oh I've got to be talking about that and my talk after this talk when we have that little break in many ways it might have been better to have that talk before this one but this way after you hear this talk you'll probably come back after the one about my former life you might be like that guy's a priest you know I'm glad you were you were laughing there a bishop when people hear about my story and they talk about my criminal past I'm always interest to see the reaction of the bishops I'm like I hope that they laugh about this they don't think this guy still needs he's got formation issues you know we all do have formation issues of course no matter where we are in life okay so in this talk which I could go on and on and on about because this is the topic that is probably most dear to my heart the rosary I love the rosary and and I know that you do too because I know that part of the very spirituality of legatos is that you are encouraged to pray the rosary and when you come together every month for your meetings you should be arriving early enough to pray the rosary because it's powerful it is so powerful that it's a game-changer it's a history maker so that little talk that I'm gonna give you now it's just a drop in a bucket of what I could tell you so just two years ago I put out a book it's a 400 page book people asked me how do you write a 400 page book on the rosary you know it's possible it's possible I spent three years of my life putting this book together and it's not the best book on the rosary that was written by a saint st. Louie de montfort the secret of the rosary but this is probably an all humility the most comprehensive book on the rosary because I picked up where he left off and I talked about all the things that have happened since the 18th century when he lived and everything before that that he may not have been aware of you know because they didn't have the technology that we do today so I was able to do research around the world and libraries and convents and put it all in this book now I graduated in 99 from Franciscan University of Steubenville and when I graduated Tom Monaghan he probably is aware of him doing that he did this but he probably didn't know that I was in the graduating class when he gave the commencement speech that year and there were several others he's basically got up there and gave like a minute long speech they flew him in for that well I probably didn't intend to do that but he gave the best one do you know what he said because he was last all the others were before him and he got up and he said - after all these great speakers I don't have much to say he said as you graduate you go out into the world and you take your Catholicism into the world he said to them I want you to remember three things be faithful to Mass go to confession frequently and pray the rosary every day the place bursted with enthusiasm and applause not just because it was short because that's all that needed to be said everything else is a footnote basically what he said in that short probably the shortest commitment was commencement speech ever was the essence of what the students needed to hear so you probably have a rosary hopefully you do and hopefully it's on your person if not in your pocket it's in your purse hopefully it's not just hanging from your car rearview mirror that's good you know but don't just leave Jesus hanging you know you see me holding up mine right it doesn't look like much it's fragile it's just a bunch of beads on a you know string this one's rather strong it doesn't break it a lot of mine break in my pocket they get snagged and I you know tear my pocket and everything does it look very intimidating but what you can't see and what I can't see either but God can and our lady can and the angels can both the Holy Ones and the fallen ones is that what I'm holding in my hand is a sword a weapon that Satan fears the devil Lucifer oh all Hell trembles at the mere sight of this because everybody knows that it takes a sword to slay a dragon well where there's a dragon that's after us the serpent dragon of the Scriptures Lucifer the fallen angel who wants to crush us wants to devour us with the flames that come out of his mouth so to speak everybody knows it takes a sword to slay a dragon this is the sword this is the weapon that's been given to the world to help us to cut off the seven deadly heads of the wicked Hydra the evil one now to show this to you I'm gonna I want to tell you two stories right out of the gate and as I said I could just a drop in a bucket what I'm going to tell you guys of what's in the book to show you the ultimate story of how bad it could get and how powerful the rosary is and this is gonna mean a lot for a lot of you because I know you're from LA goddess you guys are cream of the crop you're devout Catholics in the business world and all of that but I guarantee you I guarantee you I'm not Padre Pio I don't read souls but if I asked every one of you to raise your hand in response to this question I bet every one of you would raise your hand so don't raise your hand because you'll probably embarrass yourself it's a rhetorical question how many of you have children or family members who are messed up right every one of you would raise your hand I know yeah I know we're all messed up but you've got children who have left the church right you you you're a member of legatos right you're cream-of-the-crop catholics but you've got children who have left the faith who are off living New Age lifestyles with their significant other maybe you know in San Francisco or somewhere you know what I'm saying is true they've got wrapped up into either drugs or pornography or New Age practices or they're following you know they're putting hot rocks on a belly button out in Sedona Arizona trying to find happiness you know the world is messed up right now you know they're out there finding their feng shui you know with their furniture placement stupid but this is the world today and this is probably many of your children today okay but I'm going to tell you a story about a guy who is worse than your children and it wasn't me I'll make all your children look good when my second talk that's for sure you'll be ready to canonize your wicked son and daughter when you hear my story you know but there was a guy from Italy Catholic Italy a little over a hundred years ago named Bartolo Longo this guy obviously was Catholic raised Catholic and a Catholic family but when he went off to college he left the faith as many do sadly he was studying law and he abandoned the faith because people were telling him you know Catholicism that's nonsense it's unscientific nonsense that's for uneducated people that's old wives tales fairy tales mythological legendary stupidity so he abandoned it but the human heart still searches so in his studies he got involved with a group which today we would call New Age he started to attend seances and it became so wrapped up in the occult that he literally his words not my words I'm not emphasizing this for a fact or making it up he says this he became an ordained satanic priest Bartolo Longo fallen away Catholic in Naples a little over 100 years ago that's bad okay I lived a bad life for sure you know but I never you know got it was gathered around a pentagram and slashed a chicken's throat and sprinkle blood on myself I wasn't a satanic priest you know he was and what was the fruit of that depression anxiety nightmares hallucinations and the thought of suicide of taking his own life that was the fruit of the New Age it always is it always is well he had such a crisis that he broke down and committed something human ball he went and talked to a Catholic priest which takes a lot of courage to do you know he wouldn't talk to him he told him what was going on in the priest was a Dominican good Dominican Dominican told him about this and he said Bartolo this is your way out this encapsulate s' the sacred mysteries this enshrines the sacred mysteries of Jesus Christ and there are promises attached to it that the Blessed Virgin Mary gave Saint Dominic and others this is your way out of the occult and he believed it he barged into a seance after that held this up and told him to repent in the middle of a seance as they were you know invoking you know spirits they laughed at him they kicked him out he renounced the occult renounced his ordination you know to the demonic became a third-order Dominican trick the name brother Rosario and is responsible for building the world's most famous shrine dedicated to the rosary the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii it's its own diocese it has its own Archbishop who lives there it's that important what he did phenomenal now that former satanic priest is blessed Bartolo Longo he's a blessed he's on his way to being a saint one of the greatest this is a weapon this has the power to overcome darkness this can convert a man who was an ordained satanic priest to be one of the greatest promoters of the rosary in the history of the church a sword is what it is now a lot of people when they hear me say that because I give talks I just flew in from Iowa last night and I got here and I leave later today they say to me Oh father that's violent language that's that's militant you know the sword terminology I just I prefer to see it as a crown of roses for the Blessed Virgin yes it is that for sure for sure but when the rosary was given to Saint Dominic in the in the 13th century she said it is a weapon to overcome the falsehoods that were being attacked at that time now a lot of people you know they might be a little challenged by that this weapon terminology so let me tell you about an apparition that happened four years ago now to a bishop who's not lying he's still alive and you can watch the YouTube videos this happened in December 2014 in Nigeria maybe you're aware of this Nigeria has Boko Haram right a demonic organization filled with the spirit of Satan they go out and they kidnap little girls and they do horrible things to them and then they sell them to others to do horrible things they decapitate people especially Christians they burn them in cages it's horrible organization well this Bishop Bishop Oliver dome a was basically he didn't know what to do what do I do my people are being massacred here by this militant Islamic group so he was at prayer at his private chapel before the Blessed Sacrament praying the rosary and guess what happened Jesus appeared to him this is a bishops not lying still alive gives testimony to it and he says that guess what Jesus had in his hands this is wild never heard of anything like this geez our Jesus had in his hands a sword whoa that'll get your attention right now Jesus isn't Conan the Barbarian you know he's not brave hard you know but he's trying to tell his Bishop something he didn't say anything to his Bishop but he had the gesture of wanting his Bishop to take it from him without any words being exchanged so the bishop went out to take the sword as soon as the bishop touched it he says it was mystically transformed into a rosary and then Jesus spoke and he said to him three times Boko Haram is gone Boko Haram is gone Boko Haram is gone and then the vision ceased the bishop says he didn't need a prophet to tell him what it meant that's what he says in the videos he knew that Jesus was telling him his bishop that the rosary is a sword use it against the forces of darkness we're not about using literal swords we're not here to harm anybody or to bring bloodshed to anybody but we've got spiritual weapons and we need to use them so he started a rosary campaign in his diocese in Nigeria and I don't know if you've heard but at that time 800 girls had been kidnapped almost all of them now have been returned Boko Haram is suffering greatly because of this rosary crusade just several months ago 750 Boko Haram fighters surrendered their weapons the president of Nigeria himself went on Nigerian television and said that Boko Haram is almost completely annihilated why how because of this this has power to change it's a game changer it changes history I could tell you story after story I could literally be here for a week I actually just put out a video it just came out three days ago I wish I was here for me to sell it to you I recorded it well I got out here I got 31 seminarians in my community we got to make some money you know and we got 10 more joining this summer we're gonna 41 seminarians in my community this summer it's amazing and we there they're literally sleeping on air mattresses we have to we bought a new house in Steubenville we're renovating it but it's not ready yet so pray for that well it's good it's inspiring it's okay for guys to sleep on air mattresses it make some men you know so you know no comfy little stuff you know and then they're not pink either you know so they're manly air mattresses all right anyway tangent focus okay the rosary is so powerful that there's a constant play happening between the devil who does not want this weapon to be in your hands he does not that's the last thing he wants and God trying to put it into your hands and so right after the rosary was given to the world and the 13th century through Saint Dominic the devil went on a rampage do you know what happened right after that in the 14th century do you know that one-third of the population of Europe died 20 over 25 million people died whoa imagine something like that happening today it was the Black Plague the Black Death hit Europe Saint Louis de Montfort who wrote the greatest book on the rosary a few centuries later he said that the reason for the plague was Satan's way of trying to destroy the new weapon that had been unsheath and given to the world that's what st. Louie de montfort said a third-order Dominican whoa and by the way you know when many of the mendicant orders began to wear this on their person you know where they wear it still today on their left why because the rosary comes from a time of chivalry and knights this is understood to be a spiritual weapon most people are right-handed you unsheathed your sword from your left side that's why whenever you see most religious almost all they wear the rosary on their left and not on their right because it signifies the sword you are a knight Satan did not like this the plague broke out over 25 million people died unbelievable unbeliev documents were burned because monasteries libraries were infested with the plague and they had to be destroyed this is always a tactic of Satan to burn documents associated with a powerful weapon just like Satan tricked Faustina into burning the first version of her diary hopefully you know about that the version that you read today is version number two because the Satan tricked her into throwing the first one into the fire Satan hates this stuff but you got to fight fire with fire and that's what this is this is divine fire fashioned in the Word of God this is powerful stuff so after that God raised up a son of Saint Dominic blessed Allen de la roche in the next century to promote the rosary throughout the world to bring it back in in a major way in a major way and then Satan would react there's got this constant play in the 16th century it would be a priest who brought the Rosary back so the spirit of the evil one would enter into the heart of another priest named Martin Luther the founder of Protestantism to go on the attack against a lot of our truths but this in a particular way he hated this he had a copy of the rosary Confraternity book it's still in existence today in the library Holdings at the University of Jena in Germany in the margins in his handwriting it's been verified he slams this what is this nonsense legend prayed for no one this stupid work that's what he called the rosary a stupid work prayed for no one because they started to get away from teachings like purgatory and the importance of indulgences and things like that he slammed it a fallen away Catholic priest who helped a woman escape from the convent and then he married her this guy's not to be celebrated it's a fallen away priest who went on the attack Islam used that division now in Christianity to try and conquer Christianity in the 16th century the Brotherhood is now divided you got people who sided with the Pope and people who don't and are off doing their own thing so you had radical Islam they'd been trying for a long time they amassed a huge naval fleet and if they could swing around southern Italy and come up they could conquer Rome that's the goal but they weren't able to do it because at that time there was a son of Saint Dominic a dog of God that's what the Dominicans are the domain e connie's who was the Pope not a PC Pope not waiting to do dialog with Muslims and T Peter's Square he formed a militia of men to fight for the good the true and the beautiful and we won we won you've heard about the Battle of Lepanto probably that's why we get the feast of Our Lady of victory which became our Lady of the Rosary that's the reason why you're not a Muslim seriously that's the reason why you're not reading a Quran and facing towards Mecca when you pray today every true historian knows this it saved Western civilization and it saved Christianity that decisive Battle of Lepanto there were many more before that the great siege of Malta which happened before Lepanto but almost nobody knows about where the commander Jean Paris alt from the island of Malta went to a blacksmith and told the blacksmith put on my blade of my sword the rosary and he did and they want and that sword is still in existence today at a church called Our Lady of Damascus in the city of burgoo on the island of Malta I'm leading a pilgrimage there next year I'm gonna see it still in existence now fairy tales not legendary historical facts the rosary is powerful my friends at that same century when the evil one was raising up fallen away priests to attack the rosary and our sacred truths they're encapsulated on these blessed beads the missionaries went out to the four corners of the earth the Franciscans you know the the Dominicans the Jesuits and when they went across the high seas of those rickety boats did they carry with them huge liturgical tomes in Latin to read to the natives no did they take with them huge bulky liturgical items and altars no what did they take the rosary wearing it around their waist sometimes around their neck and they basically converted the world they taught them the simpleness of the truth the creed the our Father the Hail Mary and the sacred mysteries and it worked and it worked but Satan was not going to like that at all and was going to go on the attack time and time again oftentimes sadly I take no pleasure in saying this through priests who would start to preach against the rosary and it would even write books against the rosary I mean what lunacy is this but it would happen it would happen God would work amazing wonders and I'm watching the clock because I don't have time to tell you everything amazing things like in the 17th century when a woman from Spain began to buy locate to what is now known as New Mexico to a tribe of Indians who hadn't been evangelized had seen no missionaries yet come up from Mexico they were evangelized by a woman dressed in blue who taught them the faith and gave them rosaries before missionaries ever got there you know who that was venerable Mary of Agreda the Spanish mystic who was writing the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary the mystical City of God when missionaries arrived there in 1629 they were told by the Indians that they already knew the faith they were waiting for them to come and they already had rosaries because she was by locating from Spain and her nuns made rosaries she would take the excess ones to give to this tribe of Indians this is amazing in 1754 this is mind-blowing stuff we all know about the Guadeloupe image which is basically a Marian selfie you know Mary took a selfie and left it in Mexico City you know that's what it is it's it's a living selfie you know we know about that one but do you know about Our Lady of las lajas in Colombia it'll blow your mind almost nobody knows about it in 1754 a woman and her daughter were going through the the woods collecting things to bring back to the village they'd already had missionaries go to that area so they they were Catholic they were collecting things that were coming back to a rainstorm broke out they stopped at this huge rock cliff like big just huge huge rock surfaces and the daughter had health issues she was mute she couldn't speak she had a lot of lot of issues they saw a vision of a woman a beautiful woman and a little boy and they knew who it was they knew it was Mary and Jesus well they they didn't say anything the little girl couldn't because she couldn't speak but the mother when they went back to the village they didn't tell anybody because they thought they're gonna think we're crazy you know we're seeing things well they would go back there frequently to pray after a period of time the little girl because of her health issues died dead totally dead everybody in the village knew that the little girl her name was Maria was dead they were preparing the funeral the entire village the mother you know being a mom took the dead girl in her arms ran to the rocks and prayed the little girl came back to life now she had her hearing she could speak they went back to the village everybody knew that this girl was dead and now she's alive and she can speak they all went to the rocks when they got there there was an image on the rocks life-size beautiful colors not something faded that you would look at it and go yeah I can't quite make it out super clear life-size they asked the woman did you do this where did this come from she said this wasn't here before we've never seen this this was not here so the priests come they know who it is and they can see clearly what it's about it's the Blessed Virgin holding the Christ child in one arm and giving the Rosary to confound the skeptics to confound the priests the curse toric historical critics giving the Rosary to Saint Dominic and a friars chord to Saint Francis so they said who painted this no one fest up to it time went by you know they didn't know what to make of it but it never went anywhere people being people they began to chip at it all right we do this we're crazy chip at it but it never went away it was still there you could see the dent where people had chipped away at it but it never went anywhere as time went on geologists came and bored into the cliff three feet deep guess what there's no paint there's no pigment it's not a painting the image is the rock it's at least three feet deep scientifically proven and with science can't explain it it's an absolute miracle this is not normal nature could never do this in a gazillion years it's life-sized life-sized and you know this is approved it's a minor basilica john paul ii talked about our Lady of Las Lajas during his pontificate it's a minor Basilica in Colombia and almost nobody knows about it it's mind-blowing and it's true heaven will tell us these things on occasion but see that happened in 1754 Satan not liking it you know he was gonna do Satan was gonna go back to the very place where this had been given to the world France and he was going to mock it okay you're doing your thing God watch what Satan was going to make an ultimate mockery of this through the leaders of the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century they will March into the very Cathedral of Our Lady no three Dom which doesn't mean football by the way it means our lady is what Notre Dame means okay they marched a prostitute into the Cathedral put her on the altar do you know what they said they said this it's gonna sound very familiar to you but it's very wrong looking at the prostitute on the altar and our ladies Cathedral as one voice they said to her hail goddess full of a reason to mock God's lady to mock the Hail Mary God was not pleased with that at all God was gonna say I see you and I'm you know what I'm gonna do I'm gonna raise up a satanic priest who's gonna promote the Rosary right after that who comes on the scene Bartolo long go the man I talked about at the beginning of this talk who fell into the occult God raised this man up to be the greatest promoter of the Rosary at that time God would bring our lady to the world in the mid 19th century to Lourdes back to France the cradle of the Rosary and our lady herself would pray parts of it you can have no greater endorsement for the Rosary when then when the mother of god herself prays parts of it she can't pray all the our Father dasi for forgiveness you know for sins or anything but she prayed the parts that she could with little Bernadette Soubirous then a Pope would come on the scene who would write eleven encyclicals on the Rosary what no Pope has ever wrote written so many encyclicals on one subject eleven encyclicals pope leo xiii eleven encyclicals that was just encyclicals he wrote apostolic letters on the rosary he turned the whole month of october into the month of the Rosary because he grew up on a farm and he knew that October is the month of harvesting if you want to harvest souls you pray the rosary he put the title Our Lady of the Rosary in the litany of Loreto he beatified Louie de Montford the books of Louie de montfort were discovered in 1842 buried in a chest in a field in France some of them were quickly translated others would take a little longer but a rosary revolution began during that time and it would carry into the 20th century but then the modernists would come and they would try once again to debunk this and say it's a legendary it's mythological it's not true it wasn't really given to st. Dominic yada yada yada and then you would get what Mora Marian apparitions approved not gonna tell you anything it's not approved Fatima where Our Lady came and talked about the rosary and every single apparition and how did she identify herself we called the apparition Our Lady of Fatima and rightly so but what did Our Lady say she said she was the Lady of the Rosary that's powerful when our lady gives herself a title like that then you have our lady of Bano in Belgium our lady Abu rang in Belgium approved apparitions then as a century progresses you've got you know Akita in Japan you've got kab a ho and Rwanda you've got even right now Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas and Argentina happening the first part of this apparition is already approved by the local bishop in the 1980s you have co-op Anika agua where our lady basic gives a movie projection to the visionary Bernardo of the history of the rosary and it's perfect accord with the pious tradition that it was given to st. Dominic that's approved by the local bishop down there but almost nobody knows about it this my friends has power the 20th century saw some of the greatest promoters of the rosary in the history of the church great promoters like Patrick Payton who was just declared a venerable like a month ago or something like that this guy was out of control with his promotion of the rosary in 1961 he got half a million people to pray the rosary in the street in a park in San Francisco I mean that's amazing but see Satan didn't like that you know what happened just a few years later in that same Park in San Francisco the sexual revolution began with the Summer of Love celebrated in that same park because Satan does not like this anything and anywhere that this goes and leaves this shadow he will seek to destroy it he will seek to get rid of it but see today we've got something amazing right the original 15 mysteries that were given to us were given to combat certain hair these falsehoods that that people were attacking it was a group called the Alba gents Ian's Saint Dominic was up against and they were attacking the incarnation of mysteries of Christianity you know they were saying that the flesh is bad the Spirit is good and so God didn't become man you know he didn't live on the earth like this is his nonsense so our lady gave the joyful the sorrowful in the Glorious Mysteries well today we've got new threats against our faith we've got things that back then we're not under threat like they are today so we have the Luminous Mysteries given to us all john paul ii did was basically resharpen the ancient blade of the rosary and turn it into a modern day light saber a modern weapon for us that's what this is right a Polish Pope and his light saber right but here's the thing john paul ii is not the inventor of the Luminous Mysteries he died he would be the first to tell you this a lot of people they say all I don't pray those Luminous Mysteries that's a post Vatican 2 thing I stick with the original well you need to read some books too dude because that's not true ok already in st. Louis de Montfort writings which were discovered in 1842 he talked about the possibility of other mysteries he didn't fully develop it but others did after him Patrick Payton talked about this father Patrick Payton but then specifically a saint from Malta George Preta in the 1950s came up with the five mysteries of light those are the ones that john paul ii gave to the world in 2002 interestingly john paul ii beatified george breka in 2001 in preparation for giving us his luminous mysteries but almost the whole world missed it because of 9/11 we were so focused on that who's george prescott whatever we're focused on praying against terrorism and so forth and then benedict canonized george praça in 2007 the real inventor of the Luminous Mysteries so why do we have these luminous mysteries and how am i doing on time i'm not even sure what that clock means it says it says 10 2012 10 hours left what is that awakened we could do that I'm not sure what that means so somebody tell me when to shut up I guess I don't know what how to read that okay the Luminous Mysteries why the first luminous mystery the baptism of Jesus why is that important today why why why pray why meditate on that because how many people are not having her kids baptized today as you'll hear about in my conversion talk here in a little bit I was in baptized too always 10 years old and that didn't even mean anything all my parents wanted was the 8 by 11 certificate to shut up the grandparents we never went back to church after that didn't mean anything how many people are not baptizing their kids today they think well I'll let them make that life decision when they grow up that is stupid you know you don't wait to feed your kid you know until he chooses you know to eat that's horrible parenting what's the same thing with BAP you got to get him baptized this life of grace sanctifying grace comes into the soul and it means something right what we've forgotten that today what about Cana the wedding feast of Cana this is this is the issue of our times back in the 13th century or even the sixteenth century two dudes getting married was whack right they would that was not even what they would have never even thought of something like that but today this is marriage is being redefined so at the wedding feast of Cana remember Jesus is only truly present at a wedding that's between a man and a woman Perry this is why we have this mystery today because we need to be reminded of what marriage is we need to make reparation to the heart of our Savior and a heart of our lady because they are very much offended when two dudes try and get married this house stuff we are today this was not an issue in the 13th century the sixteenth century but today it is it's the issue today and this is a mystery of light for us what about the conversion called a repentance today we need this everybody's religious pluralism today people think that Jesus is the same as Mohammed God forbid or Buddha or Shinto or Taoism or the people in Sedona Arizona what the Hawks in their belly button that's what people think today about Jesus he's just a guru he not just a guru he's God he walked on water he raised people from the dead he rose from the dead himself he is the Messiah he is the way the truth and the life and no one goes to the Father except through him period but people today all know you can't say that kind of stuff your offend people well fine because it's true I'm not I'm not here to to make people feel bad I'm not a homophobe I'm not an Islamophobe I'm a Catholic priest this is what I do right I mean nobody fishes with a dull hook I'd be an imbecile if I thought I could throw a dough hook in the lake and catch fish every fish fights that's normal right when you and you bait it with beautiful stuff you bait it with something attractive and when the fish bite it you know if you fish you mean you set the hook they're gonna go deep they're gonna go as far away from the boat as they can but that's fine God's got lots of slack in line he's got lots of mercy you can wear yourself out you think you're gonna run away you are made for this this is what you were born for the truth it's a truth that sets us free that's why we need this truth okay the fourth luminous mystery the Transfiguration again people don't believe that Jesus is God this is one of many options breaks my heart and I hate to be the one to say this is a priest I take no delight in saying this but people just they don't see the uniqueness of it they think everybody's you'll go into heaven there's there's no hell there's no consequences to your action it's just all one group hug kumbaya everybody's fine it's not we need to get back to the fundamentals Jesus is God he is the Messiah the son of the Father he created the cosmos and we need to get back to this v luminous mystery the institution of the Eucharist oh this is huge and as a priest this pains me to say this and I know it does for my brother priest today so many people don't believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ they don't believe that he's really substantially present there why because they haven't been taught it correctly or they've had a bad example they've gone into churches where the tabernacle isn't even in the sanctuary see how messed up and how badly catechized are you gonna be when you go into God's house and he's not even there he's down a hallway in a mop closet or something I mean it's insanity Vatican 2 never called for that sure and basilica's in places where there's tourism you put the Blessed Sacrament off to the side like st. Peter's and such out of respect but in your average parish the tabernacle should be in the sanctuary if not dead center why because remember the first tabernacle was the womb of Miriam where was Jesus front and center not off to the side that's tabernacle placement 101 okay but people don't know this today that's why they come in and they give this little pansy genuflection they don't even know what their genuflecting to today if you talk to catholics you ask them do you believe that Jesus is present body blood soul and divinity substantially in the Blessed Sacrament huh I don't know what you're talking about we need to get back to this this is everything the Eucharist is our source and summit it is Jesus that's why we have the Luminous Mysteries my friend don't be afraid to pray them don't think that you're offending Jesus and fathers telling me it's time so that's what that okay all right so don't let this to hang from your rear-view mirror get to your meetings early enough every month to pray it with your brothers and sisters and you're the goddess meetings and pray it every day okay and get this book it's really good god bless you guys I'll see you in a little bit please join us for the 2019 summit at the monarch beach resort in Dana Point California January 24th through the 26th 2019
