here on the coast of Spain were less than a minute away from kicking off the final round of Street leagues first ever international qualifier the SLS Nike SB Pro Open is a thirty skater bra for just two open spots on the SLS Nike SB World Tour the battlefield is a permanent Street League certified skate plaza that will live on in the local community long after the contest ends but this contest is far from over out of 30 skateboarders eight hungry newcomers advance to the semi final to take on 20 of the best skaters on earth the elite Street League pros like Paul Rodriguez luan Oliveira and the returning SLS super crown world champion Nyjah Huston so who's got the goods to win there's only one place to find out here on Fox Sports 1 [Music] [Applause] Barcelona Spain skateboarding's Mecca a place where skateboarders from around the world have been making a pilgrimage to for over two decades a home of the Arts from painters to sculptors and riders skateboarders have come to progress the sport of skateboarding [Music] welcome to Badalona Spain everyone we are here outside for the first time ever I'm your host Andrew cannon joined by skateboard legend Jeff Rowley and Felix Arguelles Jeff we are here in Barcelona how incredible has this event been oh man I mean the city of Barcelona has so much history in skateboarding it's beautiful thing that the after this event the actual skate park gets left for the local skate community it doesn't get any better than that now speaking of better than that what about the semi-finals it was insane Oh Evan Smith character creativity use of the whole course crowd absolutely loved him so much charisma what a finals were gonna have today our top qualifier is so spontaneous Evan Smith then our top semi-final is Chris Cole is a past super crown winner Nyjah Huston aka the man to beat has it coming at them from every direction let's take a look at our finalists you're not gonna want to miss this one qualifying first is 2013 super crown world champion Chris Cole followed by street league's newest pro who made it all the way in from qualifiers Evan Smith Nyjah Huston Shane O'Neill Chaz Ortiz Paul Rodriguez Tom asta and last but not least Manny Santiago who be skating first so much amazing skateboarding went down to get us here so before we get to the finals let's recap what happened in the prelims and the semis he said the best guys from all over the world they're all capable 30 pro skateboarders from six continents arrived in Barcelona all with the same mission becoming a street leap bro [Music] Heil down to hubba Gators attack the course with their impressive arsenal trips we're talking about trying to gain as many points as possible some skated strong but some were stronger Oh point one that's gonna be another huge song all brought their best but only eight would advance to the next round Los Angeles native Louis Lopez showed the crowd why he deserved to be in street where we don't hurt him unsolvable while Belgian unison Ronny followed suit with the technical skating he's known internet favourite Chris Jocelyn doing it and Dutchman Naseem Wawa's battle for second place [Music] what the together here the best-trick but found themselves deadlock narrowly missing a chance to enter Street League last year Evan Smith was determined to not let it slip through his fingers again he qualified first in the prelims and gained the respect of every person at the event [Music] [Applause] in the semi-finals virtual unknowns found themselves skating head-to-head with the world club tested pro something rarely seen in professional sports while some rookies were able to impress the judges nothing can stop this guy now but one were sent home packing some of the seasoned veterans couldn't catch a break and others were at the top of their game putting nines on the board [Applause] Evan Smith did not disappoint becoming the only qualifier to advance to the finals skating so well he was led only by the 2013 super crown world champion Chris : this is incredible Cole was taking a different approach to the contest showing the crowd that Barcelona's famous skate spots aren't the only place in the city to see innovation on a skateboard [Music] there are two sections to Streatley the run section and the best-trick section each skater gets two 45-second runs and five best-trick attempts the four top scores from each skater regardless of section will get totaled at the end of the competition to give them their final scores the top two non SLS pros earn a spot on the SLS Nike SB World Tour first place at the end of the competition will earn the golden ticket to the 2015 SLS Nike SB super crown World Championship in Chicago and now let's throw it down to the fourth member of our crew Paul zitzer with a report on the conditions that's right Andrew for the first time ever in Street League history we are outside meaning the skaters have to deal with a few conditions the first being wind now right now it's not too bad but we're just about a hundred yards away from the beach so it kicks up sometimes and it can really affect people's tricks the other is the Sun now it's a little warm out here but that is not really the issue the problem is that is absolutely blinding the Sun is bouncing off this fresh concrete and it's causing some problems we heard Nyjah complaining a little bit about it earlier and then the last thing it's pretty random but there's a train that comes whipping by about 20 feet away from the course and if you're in the middle of setting up for a trick we've seen it affect some people earlier in the in the semifinals so those are the things that the skaters are gonna have to deal with but all that being said this course is going to be left behind now Barcelona has always been the best city in the world for skateboarding now it's even better this is such a great thing for a better look at the course let's go to the Nike SB streetscape this is by far the largest course in Street leagues history at 170 feet long and 80 feet wide the possibilities to connect lines are endless starting at the far end of the course we have a 26 foot wide quarter pipe with perfect transitions and enroll in to give you enough speed to set up your tricks the quarter pipe leads you right into the center section where you'll see a concrete volcano with built-in gaps and ledges there's also a wedge to wedge gap with two opposing dime rails and a flat bar over the gap and last but not least we have the big section featuring a mix of Gap stairs rails and hubs designed to complement the technical skate style that Barcelona is known for thanks for that Paul such an incredible plaza this is the first competition course that won't be torn down after the event special thanks to lateral thinking and Nike SB for spearheading this community project along with the city of Badalona and California skate parks we are moments away two 45-second runs followed by five best-trick attempts and it is the cumulative score for scores overall is what's going to get you into that top spot so here we go Manny Santiago Felix tell us about him super excited to see him out here that nollie flip right there how's that for a star hey this is my favorite time of the year it's the Street League finals showing that natural raela Billy Manny's one of those guys who's really going to put a good line together here the rails are spaced out nicely Bobby in his favor the grind and he's so good at putting those lines together and practice he dials in really quick come finals he's already spent a lot of time moving the same same way through the course that is time right there from Annie Santiago on run number one it's a four point nine now here's that nollie cliff he pops off the nose good catches it but it's back foot slides to the end manages to save it I don't know how but at least it kept them moving now the kickflip crooked right on the other hand he caught it perfect after flicking it grinds the ledge pops right off the end that's the way to make up for a bobble so Manny setting the bar right now with a 4.9 here in the finals next here we have Tom asta originally from Pennsylvania still living out there with his wife and his his daughter he has another one on the way expecting in October he's one of the younger pros out today but he's the season's listen up again contest skater grew up in the traditional way skating Tampa Ram comes this he has a new board sponsor she give him some brand support behind him some newfound confidence it fantastic in the semifinals kickflip nose brine a little bit different in the car and he actually balances on his truck centered very very comfortable scatter very pleasing to watch makes everything look like nothing I think you might like this course though too it gives them a little bit more space it's a traditional skatepark layout a little bit of push them between the obstacles some likes that getting away from him right there at the end solid run though for Tom asta starting things off switching it up from what we had seen from him in the semi-finals seven point two right there Thomas set the bar there's that kickflip up into a nose grind grinding on the front truck balancing it popping off the end very very difficult very cleanly executed trick that last one first or two runs our next man in Paul Rodriguez Paul such a technician seasoned vet here at Street League he has tasted Street League old he knows the feeling and he wants to get it here in Barcelona Paul Rodriguez a huge pioneer of regular skateboarding and switch skateboarding kind of set the standard and made both ways this is common place your left foot boarder your right foot forward one of the most consistent skated is decade now Jeff when you talk switch what do you mean by switch Oh most people have favored like in golf or another sport when they favor one way over the other Paul has no favorite he goes both ways think about that guys they actually arrived a couple of days before the event to kind of get over the jetlag getting his group and work with his technique which that's just the way Paul does it doesn't mean he's over competitive that's just the way that Paul does it's the pole technique it's amazing the symmetry that he hasn't escaped now look like that was after time so the deal is here at Street League if you don't pop your board before the buzzer then it does not count seven point nine though for Paul Rodriguez regardless of the switch front feeble still a solid score and a great start here in the run section so there's that switch sense 360 kickflip leading with the opposite foot forwards just so symmetrical in his skating that's which people frontside people run at the end it was so solid how risky is it for him to start off with a switch trick like that for someone else that maybe a little bit more difficult but for Paul not that bad Chaz Ortiz our next man in coming out of the Windy City Chicago he has been so close to winning a Street League but it has not happened yet 21 years old he's looking really really comfortable out here today we're very excited to see what happens he's normally very very consistent and he's been stepping up the level of tricks that he's been having in this contest Chaz grew up on the contest circuit too let's not forget that he's used to putting the lines together and then on the traditional course in one of his major strengths so much authority on that backside tail face really cooking the course it's very confident this year very very confident up in room for him [Music] it also like the size of these rails these obstacles he's very good on like mid-sized rails mid-sized everything very good on transition that backside nose I was so critical to make right there see there's that confidence totally relaxed Lightfoot it very technical trick that is time for Chaz Ortiz Chaz needs an 8.0 if he wants to move up into that top spot moves up set in the standard set in the standard here finals this SLS Holly over to nose bluntslide just bumping it in there and here's a backside noseblunt slide so smooth and pops up into that Bank when things could have got sketchy but not for Chaz oh he's happy he's a happy man right now and rightfully so Shane O'Neill is the next man in we saw some replays he had that switch double 360 flip that we saw in the semifinals at the end of his line so this guy is capable of serious greatness in these next two runs 25 years old from Australia looking very focused right now and he came into this event sick it wasn't in a good place but in the semis you wouldn't have known skated the top of his level unexpected bail at the beginning there there is Shane O'Neill that we know knows we lead acknowledge the mouth Shane's one of the few and very risque is that's hyper-technical really quickly deception or poor control animals and he also has an outdoor skate park at his house which probably like this course then historically though this is what will happen to Shane if he if he starts bumbling it ends up going the whole how is that a go to trick switch double trade flip by leading up some ground for some bales I can't wait to see the score because this is the run section now that were a single trick though it would get a really good score on the dishes should actually score him higher because it was in the line 5.2 right there so he's getting a low score but if he did that in the best-trick it would be much higher so that's a switch double 360 flip the board's flipping 720 degrees while it's rotating 360 degrees and he's leading with his opposite foot forward unbelievable Shane's almost got a perfect score in the best-trick section for that trick and with that Nyjah Huston is in Nyjah is one of the most prolific SLS winners of all time and he showed no signs of slowing down in fact he looks like he's picking up oh wow didn't see that coming no that's a rest hype of the most consistent skateboarder in the world right now [Music] Vail's now as you came into this in third place you guys think that affected his confidence at all having two guys ahead of him or is he not fazed by it Nyjah Huston is one of the guys I see climb the leaderboard faster than anybody I think he's just trying to find his flow right now here in the final we've seen him do that before - Andrew we've seen him fail early on and then I don't think it makes him lose your groove sometimes three point five right there for Nyjah Huston so now as you using that low score pretty early on so Nyjah Huston misses his truck on the frontside feeble grinding that caused him to slide out he was just as shocked as we were and now there's a 360 flip where his front foot missed the flip actually and the board didn't rotate as it was supposed to so there's no way to catch it and make it he could tell he just lost a little bit of his rhythm on that flow and here we go here we go ladies in Street leagues wild card we've got Evan Smith he is ready to go he's revving the engine he's that come on let me in there it's time to party [Music] Hey I didn't see him through that before so predictable so smile is so exciting and he wants it man he's fired oh he's not gonna make this easy for anyone out there I love that I love it when a guy just drops in and just goes for broke and also skates wherever he feels like at any moment Oh tails slack got a little sticky for him evan is our top qualifier for the SLS Pro Open and he has earned himself a spot in Street League for the entire year last year at the Pro Open he missed qualifying by a sixth of a point and this year he surely made up for it all the way to the finals for first he's going to need to get an 8.4 he gets a 4.5 right there not the kind of run we want to see from Evan but hopefully on the next one here comes having coming in hot huge frontside Ollie snailfish ala Mark Gonzales one of the legends that first did that grab so stylish [Music] all right our next man in Chris Cole qualified into the finals in first place 33 years old from Langhorne Pennsylvania Chris such an incredible skateboarder two times skater of the year from Thrasher Magazine countless video parts this guy has helped progress skateboarding chris is one of most powerful and progressive skateboarders we've ever seen not only just SLS just he's have a history of just domination periods of time where he's just won everything at contest covers of magazines interviews videos this guy's the real deal constant contender since the day that he skated the contest he's showing no signs of slowing down he's one of our Super Crown winners Sky's amazing and he's come back proven meaning he's fine taking those Falls Holly over to bluntslide only person doing that trick you know I have to say a man this this course with a little more space some of the guys are feeling it you can definitely see the benefits of that extra time for them to set up six point four for Chris Cole now up into fourth place so Chaz Ortiz after run number one Chaz Ortiz is up in that top spot Nyjah Huston though down at the bottom with a 3.5 we've seen this from him before he can bounce back from it but will we have a changing of the guard we are gonna be back in just a moment with a lot more run number two the Street League skateboarding Nike SB Pro Open is presented by Nike SB and brought to you in part by GoPro the world's most versatile camera and by Monster Energy [Applause] welcome back there's some beautiful shots of Mokpo one of the biggest draws for skateboarders all over the city lots of skate history there here you see the construction of Skate Agora bdn the first SLS certified plaza holding a pro event it took an eight-man crew over 5,000 hours to build this Plaza is sure to be added to the list of must skate spots in the city thanks to lateral thinking Nike SB and the City of bottle ona for keeping this thing around for generation of skateboarders to come one of the skaters that's been killing this course this weekend is Chris Joslin let's hear his thoughts on the course in this GoPro course preview sup guys Chris Jocelyn here in Barcelona Street League course and we're the GoPro course preview you know whether it's great awesome rails or even then here we have the stairs and rails that long rail right there oh wow now Matt Miller right here it up there we have this nice quarter pipe that was the GoPro course preview hope you guys enjoyed it never get ready before we start run - let's take a look at the current standings Chaz Ortiz is holding on to that top spot followed by Paul Rodriguez and second Tom asta in third and Chris Cole in fourth Nyjah Huston is in last place and I'm sure he is not happy about that ahead of Nyjah is the one qualifier who made it into the finals and the rest of the tour for that matter that's crowd favorite Evan Smith he just barely missed making Street League last year but he certainly made up for it today let's see how he made the finals in the monster making the cut one of the things I love about Evan Smith is you have no idea what he's gonna do he's so organic and just spontaneous on the course Wow that was unbelievable right there that backside 360 and he scored him a nine point for that right there was however Smith wasn't making the cut so Evan the top scoring qualifier for the SLS Nike SB Pro Open he will be in the series for the rest of the year taking it back to the top of the order Manny Santiago is coming in 4.9 on that first run currently seated in sixth place but Manny is looking ready [Music] Pop's that nollie flip that one almost got away from them last time he's not gonna let that happen twice not in the finals of SLS there we go save that one there's that train in the background one of the elements that Paul talked about earlier as being a distraction since we are outside here for natural hazard as it's known on the street when you're actually streets Gate Creek Drive [Music] definitely cleaning up that 4.9 he has to beat the lip one thing you can't take away from minis that smile oh no man Brown tried to do that one time and all that guy was one two bad idea concrete 3.5 right there from Manny Santiago total of 8.4 in first place next in Tom asta Tom we've seen like you were saying Jeff now part of Santa Cruz he's looking really confident out there really really clean it was also hitting up the bigger rails the big hope is in practice and that kind of reinforces that confidence [Music] not only the frontside feeble grind such a technical start I gotta say man like Tommy's looking really really good great to see another big thing he's still man apart for the lrg video you know when the guys are out there Street skating non-stop it just helps them with their consistency it's important that people are watching their people watching or tune them today to know that these guys leave maybe tomorrow they're gonna go film on the streets skateboarders offices the streets these guys are just so prolific then I'll hear a contest gunning for first place throughout the streets gunning for real progression on the street now right there is time for Tom that front crook pop over the rail barely fella it was so smooth Tom needs a one-point three to get up into first I would say that's probably likely six point two right there so Tom now in first place thirteen point four total and next man in is going to be Paul Rodriguez Pau hearing up showing his faith right the beautiful thing having a little conversation with the man above before you start to shrug now Felix one of the interesting things you had told us was that Paul comes here with a plan and he sticks to the plan is that true is even has even making any changes well these guys get a peek at the course early in the illustration and when they show up here if it measures up to their thoughts Paul's one of the guys actually sticks to that plan and if he what he planned is enough to win that's when we see him on top oh yes nice switch backside lipslide trick he's well known for tearing up for some only nosegrind right now hey Vito got that that might have been right in there well he needs a five point six right now if he wants to make his way to the top of the leaderboard six point five is gonna do it for him pushing Tom asta down into second Manny Santiago into third Paul Rodriguez at the top with a fourteen point four so here comes Paul leading with his opposite book for doing a switch stance backside lipslide right into a switch tense nosegrind so basically going in Reverse for a good portion of his run [Music] all on that top spot next in though Chaz Ortiz has had a great first run eight point three if he can do that again he's gonna be able to move up the leaderboard into that top spot right now he's needing a six point two if he wants to outdo Paul coming in with some speed I love how fast speed just attack in this course did you notice the Evan Smith in between the ramps right there I spikes that sales line so much control and such a clean style switching it up a little bit Beck's when you nosegrind comes out forwards what's he going oh those to fakie gets caught up on the ledge that's a dangerous trick to do all now obstacle if you stick your flying back with six seven feet to the back here back back you're ahead old bad stuff such a big fall away right there well you know what he's sitting on a good run for going into the best-trick section and tat chassis really get technical oh he's doing great five-point Oh Chaz now in third place pushing Manny Santiago down [Music] Evon getting a little cameo on that noseblunt these guys is all love out there that's one thing he's definitely bringing I mean you know these guys are all friends but they're relatively serious I mean this is a big deal now but I think things like that when you know people and that's how you skate anyway and you guys are used to being around each other that's just gonna have fun to the event channel needs a 9.3 if he wants to get the top spot we saw 9.4 from him in the semi-finals so he is capable of making that happen looking very very good coming in clean yeah finding this flow right here nollie flip dos slide such a difficult trick just to throw in there switch crooked grind switching his feet around clean Ollie impossible just shows how plan D is seven-point-three sticking to his plan so Shane now in fourth place Paul Rodriguez still up at the top of the 14.4 but we have three amazing skaters coming up next so here comes Shane approaching the ramp to Rambo 360 shove or alley impossible and now here he's going for the double switch tre the board didn't rotate all the way back to forward again and there wasn't enough time for him to make it his feet were there though they were ready to go next guy in Nyjah Huston Nyjah right now at the bottom of the barrel 3.5 he is going to need to change something around on this one look at that first dog I think we already touched on the fact that that's not gonna bother him first run nice nose grind not wasting any time straight into the rail banks backside 360 live slide like it was just in the way and if you notice the trick that he had since the first one he switched for a nose grind from the frontside feeble grind very calculated in his choices huge kickflip to front port that's how he gains traction on the leaderboard man this hustle that we see [Music] [Applause] it's a lot of tricks [Music] he gotten a lot in right there in that 45 seconds so he needs a 10 if he wants to get into second but like we said it's all about your best for scores 8.5 moves them up into fifth place so Nyjah climbing the leaderboard right now way to switch the heat let it switch the heat back on everybody else that was a great run so here's that kickflip catches it up in the air brings it down onto that rail so much could go wrong right there it's a kickflip frontside boardslide and he scoops it off forwards really making up for that run that was a little lackluster for a Nyjah Huston honestly that was textbook he's just showing you why is the guy to be so you go from textbook too bright in a whole new book yeah I just throw the book out the door I'm just out here to do me what cook book this is now someone's party about this lame frontside bluntslide don't seen him do that old school new school no school stale fish boats like up the rail or inside that got sticky on them 25 seconds left [Music] thank you thank you thank you for that we all appreciate that Oh Oh see he can mix everything you just do not know what Evans gonna do three six people it's over the ledge Schmitt the crowd is loving that and rightfully so man such a breath of fresh air to the lead seven point for moving him up into sixth place as awesome as it was the score was just not enough so there's a frontside bluntslide it turns frontside to the rail and slides on the ends of his board and the huge tail fish from side to side of that quarter pipe it's about nine feet you know I have to say use every single inch of that course you deserve to be judged a little bit higher than what I saw there if he would've gotten that kickflip stale fish it would have been a whole nother story all right Chris Cole qualified in first this is his second run he had a 6.4 on the last one fell on that backside flip nose grind we saw him make it on his first run in the semis so the pressure is on switch 180 the Smith grind Oh Spock catches them again just miss the truck on that back so an eight kickflip to make a noise Ryan whoops a spinner on the more pipe from pink Jing cried what a good name ching-ching cried half cab boardslide 180 out a little 360 rotation right there he needs it if he wants to end up in that top spot so much can go wrong right there talk about bag of tricks was that enough right there was that enough seven point three moves them up in the second place pushing Tom asta down into third from Paul Rodriguez after our two runs a staying tough in the top spot backside tail stall backside flip out hobo's loops out of the transition but saves it that's some experience right there the Baker maker Chris Cole the newest member on plan B all his teammates are out here cheering them on this is a look at our standings Manny Santiago in a 7 & 7 Nyjah down in sixth place Tom asta in third Chris Cole in second and Paul Rodriguez in first place we are here in Barcelona and we will be back in just a moment with our five best-trick attempts to find out the winner you [Applause] [Applause] there she is beautiful Barcelona Spain the biggest city on the Mediterranean coast and homes at thousands of skateboarders from all over the world we're back here at Skate Agora bdn for the SLS Nike SB Pro open all a skaters in the finals have completed their two 45-second runs and the crowd is anxiously awaiting the start of the best-trick section but before we do that let's check out the best skating that went down in the run section in a segment we like to call the look back presented by PacSun balls on top now but you can't count anybody out there only one trick away from them they're all done in football [Music] that's what we like to see progressive skateboarding that's the lesson against it this guy won it all last year can he do it again now everything has been insane so far the semi-finals was wild and here we are in the finals two runs under her belt guys what are you seeing what are you predicting going into the best trick I mean I'm really excited to see Manny Santiago in the finals and he's so tricky this could be a great time for him to shine I'm also very excited that Paul Rodriguez who made it on his last trick in the semi finals is on top come on talk about throwing that heat backwards and forwards Evan Smith Chaz Ortiz all the guys anyone can fake this well our number one qualifier and the guy currently in second place is with Paul zitzer right now Paul what's going on well I'm here with Chris Cole Chris I don't think last year ended the way you wanted it to today out here you look like a new man am I am I on to something nah same dude just you know I'm doing better right now it just happened okay what's your strategy going into the best trick my strategy was to do tricks that you don't normally see me do that often for the most part at least a couple of them you know it is kind of dawned on me that I do I do similar tricks and I know that I can do in contests and whether they're good or not it's you know some more tricks so I want to do tricks that you know I've been skating for a long time I have other tricks why not just do those hey I'm backing it good luck I can't wait to see him tear it up back to you guys thanks for that Paul well we are only moments away from getting these five best-trick attempts in to find out who's getting the golden ticket to the super crown World Championships but before we do that let's take a look at some of the history of skateboarding in Barcelona I mean skateboarding in Barcelona since 86 1986 it's been a while [Music] first time I came I believe he was 95 and I first bought eyes I saw it was sent I remember it was late 90s early 2000s I would see a lot of Enriquez Lorenzo footage see Daniel if Ron and it was before Barcelona kind of blew up as like a skateboarding hotspot these dudes had this just secret gem that they knew about and it seemed to always be skating the best ledges I just remember a bunch of amazing technical skating coming out of it the architecture is pretty crazy the since 1992 when they were the Olympic Games they fix the whole city so they built a bunch of plazas industrial plazas we let just stairs I don't know how but seems like they did it for skating you know the flag ran it a lot of marble and granite marble for those who don't know is just some of the most you this best winding surfaces you can have the most famous person Barcelona guards not bad last time we were to see third parallel and back in the days used to be sense sounds it to be the main spot in the whole city [Music] my first thoughts about the park in Verona it's like damn as we sort of got it earlier yeah if the the first one like that yeah it's not any other in Spain the scape are made for the scariest build from a skater to the parts in Spain they always has so many mistakes this one is like perfect but I'm so happy you know for the New Year nations and they're gonna have this you know I wish I can have this when I started skating when I was 11 everytime that I want to skate a skateboard you know like a good escaper to really learn things I can go there it's kind of far from my house but it's good I'll go by Wow the great story told by two of skateboarding's legends from Barcelona I wish I grew up in this city we are moments away from the start of the best-trick section all the pros are out there planning their tricks Evan Smith out there getting some serious love from the crowd he's the only qualifier to make it into the finals and the crowd at Skate Agora cannot get enough we were able to sit down with Evan earlier in the week and learn a little about him let's hear what he has to say where you come from really speaks a lot and down in Florida I lived there for about 18 years the grounds rough [Music] so I grew up skating the skate park called Metro skate park and they had like local contests like I know the camaraderie of like all of us coming together to do something was epic that was in a small form now look at Street League where it's like stadium full of people watching me skateboard look massive stuff now being involved with that it's always a dream you know like next level you know in general Evans extremely spontaneous like in the most positive way possible I think that's why people really enjoy watching this because you can't predict what's gonna happen it's just kind of a pleasant surprise it's kind of a joke he's really gifted he he's better than everybody and it's it's nice to see other people notice it but I don't think it matters to him he's just gonna do what he does fun because it's battling with your friends you know that's like it's not just like making money right I don't it's more like about the game you know it's like the chess match like again it's pea Rob and Chris Cole like superheroes for us environment like that arena sometimes brings on like some truth in the Street skate world you know like get the right Street skaters together and it brings fire you know sometimes it feels crazy in there it's extremely intimidating yet I'm excited and yeah and I want to either make a trick or get called up in an ambulance you know that's the goal I think make it just you know hold on what an interesting guy there is Evan Smith mentally preparing himself to skate against the seven Street League pros in the next section before that let's take a quick break and we'll be right back for the temp number one the best trick section [Applause] what a sight the monument of Christopher Columbus constructed in 1888 rumor has it he's pointing to Mokpo making sure all its skateboard visitors know where to find it we're back at Skate Agora BTN to the SLS Nike SB Pro opened here and bottle ona Spain the construction of this lovely permanent Plaza was spearheaded by Nike SB and lateral thinking in collaboration with the city of bottle ona and California skate parks let's take a look at the current standings Paul Rodriguez at the top of the leaderboard in first place no surprise there he's the first one here every morning working on his tricks 2013 Super Crown winner Chris Cole not too far behind Nyjah Huston all the way in the back in six not a position he's familiar with let's get the basics of the format the run section is complete each skater has earned two scores from that now in the best-trick sections each skater gets five best-trick attempts their highest for scores regardless of section will be counted best trick three peaks about the progression of skateboarding we're gonna see some skateboarding progress right here this is an area where Manny Santiago tends to do really well he's got those very difficult tricks on lock maxsize 5059 how hard is that feelin burial yield flip your board the board's flipping the board spinning and landing on both trucks in that round rail incredible he gets an 8.5 look at all that action right there and then just stopping it and balancing on that round rail first try the board heelflips the board burials spinning 180 and then just balanced perfect on that round rail that is a great start right there for Manny Santiago 16.9 moving up the leaderboard next in is gonna be Evan Smith who knows what we have in store for us and that's the way we like it sometimes it keeps things exciting it's a whole new energy here following the Train he's going about as fast as the Train right now Oh huge if he knows bone transferring on to the bank they go boner into the flat bang awaiting to score seven point nine Evan Smith now up in the top spot 19.8 Evan just skating around so there he is blasting off the quarter pipe he grabs with his backhand they call that an Indian he bones it out a little bit when he twists the nose out Evan Smith definitely got a watch speaking of Nyjah Huston right now Nyjah is down in 8th place bottom of the barrel he needs a 7.9 to get up into first no only 180 to nose to fakie nosegrind revert yes sir 8.6 Nyjah now up in the top twenty point six if he can stay on it might almost be impossible for someone to beat him so here's a nollie 180 at Knollys when you pop off the nose of your skateboard he grinds on his front truck and then he scoops it back off 180 really twisty they're in a difficult move especially on a round handrail so nyship putting out a solid score and Shane O'Neill's in next it's sink or swim for Shane in this section he's at the bottom got that crowd support behind him Oh is a good feeling Oh gets away from him so this is exactly what happened in the semifinals he went for that switch flip back lip didn't make it did a different trick and then went back to go get the switch foot back lip we'll see what he ends up doing here since to add a knee right the strategy and technique Chaz Ortiz coming in currently in seventh with a 13-3 he needs a seven point four to outdo Nyjah now Chaz Ortiz in this section has always been a contender for that first place but he's never taking it up and not just to actually get the win oh that is a broad start right there with the huge backside clip how clean was that will I do it seven point eight Chaz Ortiz moves up in the top spot in your right Jeff very relaxed he's looking very very cool and calm out there huge kick foot catches it with his back foot turns backside 180 that table in the middle was no match for how beautiful and how highly popped that kickflip was backside 180 on the way out could be the Street League that Chaz Ortiz wins that's not jinxing I got my fingers crossed though next in Tom asta Tom came out swinging in semi finals had some really difficult technical tricks to help him get up to the top AHA whoa nollie backside heelflip 180 nosegrind that was probably the most technical trick we've seen so far especially in this final 8.3 Tom asta now in the top twenty one point seven these guys are climbing up so he's popping up the nose right here nollie 180 heelflip to 180 nosegrind and what you may not know that sometimes skating the bench is actually the hardest thing to skate because you have no assistance of a ramp that was unreal to be able to do that in a contest on command his mind blowing Chris Cole qualified in in first place he's an eighth one for the lead I think it's kind of hid the ledge oh I love what Chris was saying about having a deep bag of tricks and wanting to do some different stuff that really says a lot about his character Chris is saying he loves this ledge too he wishes he could have it at his house I think if you asked nicely he could probably get this in his house that's what I said so there's the backside 180 nosegrind he tries to come off 360 off the end and got a little caught up on that front truck when it touched the ground over osage his body a little bit too much too so much action going on so Chris called no score on that first attempt and our last man in before we take it back to the top is Paul Rodriguez Paul is in the top coming into this he needs a 74 if he wants to get above Tom asta right now unbelievable 8.2 Paul Rodriguez moves up back into the top spot Tom asta down in second Chaz Ortiz in third Nyjah in fourth place so there goes Paul leading with his opposite foot first or basically switch-hitting than baseball just lock it into that backside Smith grind that score is going to take some serious pressure off them and give them an opportunity to try some harder tricks for bigger points in the next attempt Paul Rodriguez is still leading the pack but Aston Ortiz are just a few points behind Nyjah slowly creeping up the leaderboard let's see what he has planned for attempt number two we'll be right back [Applause] we're back in bottle ona on the beach with a beautiful Mediterranean Sea in the background it's Skate Agora this park is gonna stay here for the local skaters it's a packed house and we have one heck of a contest going on right now Shane O'Neill down in that bottom spot he can make it happen though if he sticks his next few we've got Nyjah Huston in fourth place Chaz third Tom asta in second and Paul Rodriguez who's looking really solid out there in first place but right now we're gonna take it back to Manny Santiago Manny's currently in 6th and remember it's all about your four highest cumulative scores right there that was incredible why did that come from so much control explain that trick just give us the breakdown okay that's so crazy so Manny is doing an ollie which is the nose ollie off his board he's flipping it with his back foot so it's a nollie flip then he catches it to backside 5050 perfect balance that's my mo teammate right there putting it down that was incredible 8.24 Manny Santiago in the top spot twenty five point one so right now Manny has four scores on the board super important his lowest of three five he has three opportunities to outdo it and next in Evan Smith have been currently down in the sixth place spot he needs a five point four to get up on the team to first scoops a little back seven eight just for the fun of it where is he going oh no I think he was trying to take that all the way around if I really hope he does oh he will [Applause] so Evan getting nothing right there he's gonna have three more attempts and he's got three on the board Nyjah now in fifth place 20.6 need two for six if he wants to move up into the lead what's going on here when he was about halfway down there you can see his body just was not on right I think they had something to do with possibly their this trails high to get on to and low at the ball you don't quite get the right speed it's hard to roll away seemed like he was short a little bit on sort of speed to the rotation wasn't there we're seeing I think the little tide shift here knives are definitely not happy with that he's used to being up in that top spot kind of looking back at everybody next in Shane O'Neill Shane he's gonna need something big so that right there is two attempts at the switch whip back lip so what's he gonna do now who knows right again for the third time is he gonna try to go switch 360 double flip he needs to go for it Chaz for point one for first place he's looking great out there today I usually good good shudder it right now [Music] semi-finals when he went for the first 360 flip lipslide the same exact thing happened Tom asta in next scored that eight point three on the nollie back heel nose grind super impressive out there we'll see what road he goes down like he's gearing up for the ledge again Oh the platform was incredible yeah they told me he's gonna do with that I can't wait to see the score on that 7.6 Tom's up in the top twenty nine point three coming in fakie faking the frontside crying and shove it's behind the back over the rail that was the girl rattle he has the sidewalk in front of them so it creates a little bit of an extra obstacle pops over and locks into the perfect position on their rail but if that control thanks to his toes and then now he just pinches the end of the truck and shoves it off behind his back just to add a little insult to injury Wow amazing that was incredible Tom now in the top spot 29.3 these scores are getting high Chris calls in next needs to bring out the big guns absolutely really does used to pout it up he's got two scores on the board [Music] he missed the edge of the ledge which is causes him to start to slide and then it all just went wrong from there gets a la respect from the crowd everyone knows how dominating that guy's being great skateboarder he still has three attempts though Paul Rodriguez is up next we spoke to Paul earlier about his keys to the course for the best trick section let's hear what he has to say my strategy for the best-trick section really depends on how my runs went if that went well then I'm going to try to really hard tricks if my runs didn't go well my time flew out for amazing Paul Rodriguez looking very very focused balls currently in third 22.6 needs a six point eight if he wants to jump up into that top spot ahead of Tom asta actually the trick that got him into the final was absolutely amazing eight point two for Paul Rodriguez now in first pushing Tom down in the second for that twenty nine point three so leading with it to the end of his board in a blood slide a switch frontside bluntslide slides like eight feet almost the entire ledge off so smoothly and making it look like a regular trick but actually it was switch technically backwards we talked a lot about all the difficult tricks Paul has here is a basic breakdown of one said by none other than Paul Rodriguez in the Nike SB trick tree double take Paul's gonna break down a tough one for you a nollie late flip first you start off with a nollie popping a nollie off the nose of the board next you add in a kickflip which is a full rotation of your board mix those two together bring your front foot back flick it off the nose and you've got yourself a nollie late flip an extremely difficult trick that Paul Rodriguez makes looks way too easy download the Nike SB app today to have the entire trick tree at your fingertips film your own tricks through the app to complete your own trick tree Paul Rodriguez making one of the hardest tricks look too we're gonna take a quick break when we come back the start of a temp 3 in the best-trick section you're not gonna want to miss this these guys are just getting warmed up we're here in Barcelona for more Street League skateboarding it's the 2015 SLS Nike SB Pro Open and what a contest it has been so far we have two runs under our belt and two attempts these guys are gonna have three more before we crown a winner Manny Santiago currently in third 25.1 is now in No he was so close on that one varial heelflip Eagle attempt got away a little too far back so difficult when you landing a trick like that not quite perfect he had a rail always room for a slam or a slip out heaven looks like seven the time of his life Smith there we go his third attempt Briona hate you Fanny's exciting [Music] things could have got real ugly in the middle of that planner 8.24 evan smith moving him up into third place and pushing Manny Santiago down into fourth now right there is his fourth score huge black round puck full-speed difficult thing with that is the speed you have to pop just at the right snap when you whack that ledge full speed board go anywhere hit you the knees chin anything makes it look like nothing such great form real streetscape right though with four scores under his belt he now wants to outdo that four point five that he got on the first run so now it's all about building for Evan Smith on these next two attempts next in Nyjah Huston knives you down in six with one zero under his belt oh oh and he goes down I twice Nyjah Huston looking a bit puzzled there's a difficult one Holly 270 the Switchback live looking a little shaky maybe a little bit nervous from Bailey not used to pulling on it's the problem definitely a little confused here nollie 180 all the way around the Switchback lip maybe it's being outside you know maybe you know something else how to all night just tricks that's one of his newer ones so he just probably hasn't mastered it yet you probably should have let that one back in LA so that's a second zero now of course not just gonna have two more scores so he could definitely come back but he needs to get both of them cuz right now he's got a 3.5 Shane O'Neill in next he has to post a score here he's got three attempts left but every single one's gonna count is he going switch flip back flip what is he gonna do do this to me this is what I wanted to do and that's really what skateboard is all about feelings that was probably the best explanation you could have given it was personal and he gets an eight point eight well you know what when we look at Shane O'Neill there's only one person riding on that skateboard it's not a two-seater did you see the wheel and look like it hit the rail perfect switch flip catch on the landing he tries almost messes them up unbelievable for the Saviour that's just instincts right there little blood on the sleeve no that's the eye making it no matter what happens I am rolling away that's determination Shane moving up into fifth Chaz Ortiz now in sixth place chasing shade and the rest of the guys needs a 7.4 average for the rest of the tricks oh and that's a great start 360 flip lipslide picking up where he left off really clean that's high very sweet looking trial called it in a very sweet looking trick and he did it about as good as it gets Chazz up in third now so a 360 flip he stops it halfway well about 270 of the rotation puts it on the rail and completes the 360 so much control right there just to stop it and land the middle your board and from his tippy toes to his full feet and he rides away Chazz point to behind Tom asta 1.7 behind Paul Rodriguez that's his fourth score Tom now has four scores on the board he has to outdo that six point two if he wants to continue to get better so come on Tom let's see a man you can do this Oh back knows ground 180 attempt everyone's trying to take it up a notch right here it's difficult to rivo when you're going down and that's what was happening the short ledge going down look a lot more technical than your thing Tom we'll have two more attempts after this he's got four on the board currently in second Chris Cole in next he needs to get a 79 for his next three attempts if he wants an opportunity to get up into that top spot this is one of our past Super Crown winners he could definitely do that he's got the bag of tricks for it Oh a little stuck on that extra rotation at the end get away from him and I'll tell you what I thought he had that for that back foot didn't do any justice look like you just dug it a little too far into the ground so it's going to be imperative for Chris to make the next to Paul on the other hand has for under his belt his lowest score being at six point five one of the cool things about this whole thing that's going on here is lateral thinking came together with Nike SB and the municipality of Badalona to make this Park happen it's going to be left behind for everybody Wow Paul can afford to fall right there he still has two more attempts to outdo that 6.5 let's not forget Felix the skatepark was built like my California skate parks one of the best skateboarders in the world [Music] so the hall had that crooked grind going right there and he nollie heeled maybe a little bit late off the end of that rail that right there is attempt number three make sure you guys are following us stay up to date with all the videos photos and official Street League fan page at facebook.com slash Street leagues will be back in just a few moments our fourth best trick attempt here in the finals [Applause] [Applause] true skate the official mobile game of Street skateboarding is making it possible for all you fans out there to test your skills on exact replicas of past SLS courses make sure to download it from the App Store Amazon or Google Play we are now so close to crowning a winner we've seen the two runs two with two 45-second runs and now it's all about the best tricks five attempts with the top four scores that are going to count so we are now on attempt number four here in the finals and we're gonna start things off with Manny Santiago he fell on that last one he's got four on the board and he needs to outdo that 3.5 as you can see on the left hand side we've got our scores that is our top eight from bottom up to top the average for first is how what he needs to get for his next two attempts if he wants a shot at winning big speed healed of fork slide happiness pure happiness and a beautiful Barcelona sunshine 7.4 [Music] [Applause] [Music] big spin here the boardslide [Music] look at his face he was so surprised he's so stoked you're stoked speaking of your Stoke next in is gonna be evidence myth he's got some Maiden playing in the background he's getting in the groove what does he have next for us I'm renaming this guy captain excitement ah there it is the hugest alyou 360 air coming in fakie at the end that's the move that put him in the contest so as you can see up top we have the run section the two scores and then our best-trick attempts getting an 8 9 right there for that one that quarter pipe was made by California skate parks just for Evan to do that mover they're so perfect we've seen that three times this weekend in every single time it's gotten better and the scores got it better and look who's on top it's Evan Smith again our qualifier I think Evans the only guy who's getting real high points on that obstacle unbelievable Evan now in the top and Nyjah Huston and 7 he needs to get a score right here goodness he needed a 7 point 7 I don't know if that was clean enough but it was a super difficult trick that took him so many tries to make it's gonna be close 7.8 he gets it so that means he needs to get a 7.6 if everything stays the same this course so important for Nyjah looking in the foot came off had a little toe drag I think you're a little bit lucky with the judging on that I think we came and went so quick again the same issue so rail just gets you you know sometimes the obstacle dictates is a trick that you try that might just not be a good rail for that trick so Nyjah Huston in sixth place overall we're gonna bring in Shane O'Neill it's imperative he lands this one somebody that chick what we looked at right there is there's only one person in the world understand that one person in the world that could do that trick that is incredible 9.2 Shane O'Neill jetting up the leaderboard in third place overall that 30.5 chasing Paul Rodriguez and Evan Smith approached him with his opposite foot forward a double switch 360 flip now like we said earlier in the run section he landed that in the run and he ended up with a 5.2 and then he did it as a single trick here in best trick with a 9.2 good point Andrew Shane look how he stumped that so dominating I'm taking this one home it's so amazing to be able to witness a feat that only one human being on this planet to do and he does it constantly now he knows he knows where he's at he knows what it's gonna take to get up in the top spot Chaz Ortiz sitting in fifth place 8.1 he needs that as an average thanks big kickflip frontside boardslide awaiting the score on that 18.2 Chaz Ortiz now in second place pushing Paul Rodriguez down chasing after Evan Schmitt and you can be guaranteed this crowd in Barcelona has never seen anything like that before live big spin kickflip to frontside boardslide sometimes when you see that trick someone will come off to fakie which is continuing to rotate he stops the rotating motion it pulls it back off the straight so much control that his body was still naturally turning and he stopped it eight point to Chaz now in second Tom asta down in fifth overall he needs an 8-3 on an average for these next two still anyone's game here his lowest score right now is 6.2 you could tell he is relieved just keep that score high on that one because he that was a clean make it was a quick desperate mate but it was claimed 7.2 Tom in fifth Manny Santiago down in sixth we have two guys left on their fourth attempt we've got Chris Cole and Paul Rodriguez there's a kickflip to nose grind and jumps it off nollie 180 off the end there to revert I'll tell you what usually we see a lot more clean landings and these guys are going for every single trick that's because they each one of them is putting the heat on the next dude it's nonstop [Applause] Tom asta in fifth and now Chris Cole qualified it in first place down in eighth he needs the next two or he has no shot at winning you never doubt Crisco ever ever constant contender [Applause] Unreal 8.3 so Chris in eighth but he has to get that fourth score so switch frontside flip after it goes 180 he catches it and just rips it around another 180 there's another look another one of those only tricks that chris is doing in the concert series slipping in the slide and taking it home maintaining that speed though very important in this environment it's by all means necessary next and Paul Rodriguez he has four scores on the board he needs to outdo that 6.5 he's about an eighth one if he wants to move up the leaderboard and into first place that's all I'm saying cause I come catch me on the crowds gonna love that one and now with the last attempt the pressure is on everyone so Paul here Alys into a crooked iron sets up his back hurt with no time at all and nollie heelflip talk into the rail it was almost too late but he saves it you're looking in you're flicking into the ground bracket but action rolling so amazing that he was able to catch that right there at the end and save it that was pure wand unreal right there final attempt be coming up this is going to be the shake-up anyone can take it stick around [Applause] the Street League skateboarding Nike SB Pro open is presented by Nike SB and brought to you in part by GoPro the world's most versatile camera and by Monster Energy this right here our standings as we move into our last attempt Chris Cole down in eighth place with at twenty 2.0 Nyjah Huston in seventh and right now it's looking like it could be Chaz Evan or Paul Rodriguez but anything can change this is our last trick here at the SLS Nike SB Pro open and these are our finalists Manny Santiago for his last time here in Barcelona currently in sixth place needs a 9.8 to win what does he got for us get a truck up there yeah the thing he did make a feeble riding flip feeble grind seven musta struck for Manny Santiago but he went out like a champion right there amazing ending to an amazing weekend here on real Manny Santiago all right Evan Smith he needs an eight point nine for first he is partying out there the spirit of Barcelona zipping go is in him who knows always a goodie so all pay homage to the food very important nose wheelie right there for Evan Smith but we will see him throughout the rest of the year because he has officially qualified into the rest of Street League for 2015 welcome to the league Evan what a great show and then we couldn't be more happy to have him Evan right now in second place his first-ever Street League final Nyjah Huston he needs a nine-point no if he wants to get up into first place which a man doing many many men got plenty of nines in his bag we used to call him Nyjah let's see if he could pull one out now and he needs it is this going to be nicest day or is someone else going to dethrone him and start the year off completely different for a tendon that's a trick that only that he does on commands like that one person has done that in this competition three there we go nice you know top did he steal it before stealing last moment so much pressure on this one so it's a backside 270 kickflip he stops it and stomps it onto that board completing the 360 rotation backside 360 kickflip lipslide so incredible so much bold control to spin and flip and catch a circular rail count nigel one try changed the whole face of this competition I could not believe he did it he is so unreal under pressure look at that smile that's really gonna put the pressure on Paul Rodriguez all right Shane O'Neill currently in sixth he needs a 9 if he wants to win tailslide to fakie rollback if he would have made that he could have taken the lead away from Nyjah just leaning a little too far back on his skateboard there's the big spin he lands on the backside of his tail sliding comes off facts I would need no far back right there just gets over the rail puts it in position when he scoops up 180 everything was looking great but just the weight distribution was a little off that's what it was a hundred percent too much on the back foot man so Shane not going to get up there in six Chaz Ortiz though he is gonna need something massive if he has any shot of winning this one but he could knock down Paul Rodriguez Evan Smith getting himself into those top three I'm thinking he's gonna go out with a tech move right here a bit of a nomination trick that it'd be extremely technical get a 9.8 take the backside tailslide oh oh the backside flip out amazing weekend these guys are so unbelievable Chazz right now in fourth next in Tom asta in seventh place overall Tom can only move up the leaderboard he will not be able to take it away from Nyjah Huston but now the hill crooked grind was one of his biggest tricks this weekend Oh again where will he end up what a phenomenal start to the year for Tom eight point six in fifth place now the best that Chris Cole can do is fifth place as well and he is our next guy in [Music] go lyin it up you starting from that same position the train goes by [Music] he needs a 9.8 to get up into fifth with extra speed so much personality this guy so he makes it not the way he wanted 6.1 and Chris Cole is Dan innate it all comes down to this right here and right now Paul Rodriguez is the only person that can take this away from Nyjah he needs to get an eight point four when you look at his other scores eight - eight - nine five Paul can do it all he could certainly do he has all the skill and ability in the world Nelson time let's see a pool I promise this is not the first time or the last time that you're going to see this right here and this man is the perfect man for this job because he can't do it and we may see it right now look at that pressure all those guys the crowd moving in everyone wants to see him make this trick he's coming off his best trick can he do it Nyjah Huston wins our first stop here at the SLS Nike SB bro open also winning himself a golden ticket directly to the super crown world championships in Chicago my eyes are burning this skateboardin please give them a break Oh incredible that was unreal right there Nyjah Huston is he gearing up for a second season in a row nollie crooked grind nollie heel out which is the upgrade from the other trick that he did because he's a lean off his nose and nose Ollie into that crooked grind so close right there it was just too much of too little of the time and he lost it Nyjah has done it yet again taking home victory here at Street League we got Nick diving on the course right there first person to post real you can see the reaction from Nyjah happy that that one worked out you know what's amazing is it shouldn't surprise us that this happened but every ending is a surprise kind of every single time it comes down to that last trick there you go as you can see our top three Evan Smith who will be in for the rest of the season Paul Rodriguez fighting til the bitter end in second and Nyjah Huston wins let's send it down to the fourth member of our team Paul zitzer to give out those awards thank you very much Andrew that's right I'm down here on the course with the top three finishers here at the Barcelona bro open I just want to put out a huge congratulations to our third-place finisher Evan Smith you're the newest member of Street League welcome to the family and also in second place Big Ups v-rod you killed it all week congratulations my dude and now I want to turn to an absolute legend here in Barcelona longtime pro skateboarder a great guy andrey k lorenzo here to present the winning trophy to Nyjah Huston you know by the lowness skater gota you know we're really happy to have you over here you killed it you know congratulations all right Nyjah your first run was not the run you were trying to put together in the finals what did that do to your mind state going into the rest of the final it definitely made it a lot tougher on myself for some reason I tend to fall on really easy tricks and runs because I get nervous everyone always tells me that don't you dog get nervous I'm just getting so many but pretty sure all of us get nervous out here I mean getting in front of all these people and yeah that's gnarly so you're saying you weren't just messing with us and just kind of stringing us along till that final trick oh absolutely not I tend to always pull myself in the toughest positions possible when it comes to trying to history League for some reason but I don't know somehow it worked out it certainly did congratulations awesome let's kick it back to Andrew thanks everyone thanks a lot Paul one more look at our leaderboard this is our standings for the SLS Nike SB Pro open here and look these are our championship qualification points Nyjah Huston Golden Tickets straight into the finals Chaz Ortiz 157 points Shane O'Neill and third fourth Kelvin Hoffler and you can see we've got Cody McEntire in there now because he is one of the newer members to Street League let's take a look at the Monster Energy highest scoring trick and that one's gonna go out to none other than mr. Paul Rodriguez with that crooked grind nollie heelflip there's the slow-mo crooked grind down the rail [Music] making his way just to the very end looking it out with the heel unbelievable well deserved from mr. Paul Rodriguez let's take it back down to Paul zitzer who has the two newest members of Street League Paul that's right I'm so psyched to present these two new members to Street League skateboarding Cody McEntire in Tampa just last month he missed it by a hair came back here and got in what was the difference for you Cody I mean I don't know man I just out here it was cool and everybody's really rad you ain't first you're last I kind of didn't I didn't get in right but hey man at least I made it so I'm psyched to be in Street League dude awesome congratulations yeah and then Evan Smith you are an absolute maniac do you have any plan out there what are you doing well I mean sometimes I plant stuff I actually like I was getting coached by like 45 people on the sidelines like I would walk up and everyone's all right you got this do this do this do this talking logistic statistics like all that well who did you listen to I listen to everyone I just kind of like I don't know trying to get the vibe but the best energy as possible like I'm really not out here to win like I'm out here to launch and either dying or the hospital or to go land it and ride away and be people be happy you know like I have to skateboarding to me you know what you did then what you set out to do it was a beautiful thing hospital man congratulations see on the tour back up to you Andrew thanks so much Paul well guys let's get some final thoughts what did you think I mean if this is the start of the season what are we in for crazy cold season I think I mean look how diverse the skating was in the finals and look how it switched from one guy to the next you keep couldn't predict it who was gonna win them and evidence such a breath of fresh air to the league it's so exciting to have somebody so diverse and just like spontaneous out there skating Nyjah had to take it it wasn't given to him and Paul put up an amazing fight he had it I think it just sets the platform for the rest of the season well said guys well it was an awesome first stop we've got three more to go our next one in Los Angeles California on July eleven make sure you guys tune in special thanks to Skate Agora all the fans for coming out once again that Nike SLS World Tour is going to be exclusively on Fox Sports 1 July 11th in Los Angeles California you
