1957 Chevy Bel Air, Will It Run After 35 Years?! | Turnin Rust

[Applause] small-town business owners Wyatt and Lance Busch teamed together to form Craven customs a father and son duo scavenging the web along with the North East Texas woods in search of rusty relics while buying and building on a budget they recreate and preserve hidden patina giving each one a story of its own chasing their passion they're giving the past a future saving loss trees one vehicle at a time when helping God nature in Blalock media these guys part by maxed trailers every once in a while will receive a potential lead that relates us up to some really cool projects that's exactly what happened here with this 1957 Bel Air I found it on Facebook marketplace it was fairly local she was asking a price of nineteen hundred dollars so I knew that we needed to get over there as quick as possible to check it out and see what she had once we pulled up and were able to lay eyes on the car I have to say that I couldn't be happier the body seemed to be fairly straight I mean it has its dents and dings and missing a few trim pieces here and there but all in all a very solid car now the paint has some issues you can tell it's been painted quite some time ago so it has its Falls from just sitting up once we popped open the hood we found out that it actually was a v8 car and supposedly it was running when they parked it now that's been some time back now so the car is not running currently but all-in-all I think we can get her up and going again on the inside of the car it looks to be fairly complete as well everything's dirty and dingy from just setting up but it looks like once a person was to piece everything back together it would definitely clean up on the inside so all I know I'm just really happy we had this car at the shop at 1,900 bucks I was not going to leave that house without that car so now that we got it back we're just going to dig into it see if we can get her up and running and move her down the road where were you thinking about her house like she still it's kind of dusty Thanks she's got any life left Shirley's uh she's not that out it looks to be pretty complete to mean but hadn't really studied that up a whole lot I think this thing would either had a 265 or a 283 in it but I ain't familiar enough to now without maybe checking that block numbers and say exactly what it is lots of dirt daubers don't ya dirt diver factory and hearing oh boy hopefully they ain't got any more brayer no they try to do though sorry yep say we're missing a belt on them well yeah water pump and generator oh oh you know though say we got the cool wires nothing's been done none of these wires here anyways that's good they look good over here except for the battery cables they look kinda those are her battery cables yeah kind of small anything yeah that one there it's been patched anyway yeah well I got up against a manifold or something that we're into the starters that that's the start of this here's the ground oh yeah yeah she's saying you know they drove it out there in that old barn I don't remember when she how long ago but until they've been doing a little bit of it yeah patchwork here and there yeah the good it kind of looks like that hose may ran that's what I start to say if get it running down there there's part of it so I probably just had a tank set right there I ran to the fuel pump huh right yep we checked all real quick sticks rusty on one side he's got fluid in it but I can't really tell what kind of shape it looks to be now I don't look bad did I new old but it's definitely ain't the worst I've seen I guess let's try to try to get started on it I don't think then battery cables or anything we want to miss know if I don't know if we've got any bet about three foot or so on we may have some battery cables that we'll throw on there and I can just see those right not carrying the current very well at all just look it's fairly easy to get there changeable no link it sure is sloppy here I'll go see if we can grab some tools see if we can get some battery cables on there see if it'll lace turn over sure it ain't locked up get it turning over then we'll check the points make sure we're getting fired of that I think she'll run if she was running she was running for them she'll run again yeah as long as they didn't let it get too hard or anything like that but I said what they're not having that water pump belt on there you never know right I'll go grab a battery and some cables and you can kind of see what sighs that looks get that off here's a positive here well yeah plenty long whoops look at that a mad 60 stone there we had an a ground that ground would possibly work maybe but listen can't find the ground already singing no hoses dry rot Julius I didn't put much pressure on that and they decided to give up it I think I can get to it from up here without having to get up underneath yeah I can get it I'm trying to take this ground yeah spread it a little bit with some penetrate more I'm kind of curious to see what she sounds like and then when we picked it up I remember seeing that I had dual exhaust up underneath it so some whole glass packs I believe I think that was the go to go to exhaust style back in the day kind of crazy though it ain't you know ain't been on the road since I believe it said 85 on my lap on the plane yep so you know she's got to be an Sunday pick the streets again that's right yep you should have gave me the hard one days when I'm not down like I thought I was it yeah hopefully it's not just spinning in that silly noise was that hard to break loose or anything no it turns it turned fairly easy but it's it's still tight though let's just get poured over the threads I think trying to keep it out of the way with fan this is long enough it should always like to see him run with everything that was there but sometimes it just doesn't work out and we could have tried it with them other cables but I know it would have especially if it's going to give us a fighter trying to crank up run saying so we got hot pretty quick well just take those little finger tap I mean good start no finger loose tooth time for your hand to the least for the wrench yep that's what about always it was like that guys I hadn't got the key key to it yet from her so we'll have to jump around on some wiring to you know get it to turn over and stuff so you may kind of look around I was just thinking I see if there's a wire right there that I don't know yeah you said there's something huh yeah that runs to that silly annoyed there if that's it then we could even jump across right there where they've got it strip back to my patch did it anyways thank you yeah this one should work I think they were left over from though metro van oh they're not working on you then you check the porch number yeah keep it out of the way a little better a little long but it's a bit low Jordan yeah I kind of like to have that hook that other hand already hooked up top battery so it would be sparking make it interesting I go to the listing just like steel wool or something let's I guess I'm just washing insulation pants start moving some of these dirt daubers drop one right down in the carburetor maybe what it needs to make it run real good putting green in it pretty cool though I mean this thing it's crazy how it's got the power steering built on to the back of that oh yeah the generator here crazy apparently it was not a good idea because I switched them you thought if it was a good idea that still be done like it yeah maybe so sure Tucker sure spends easily - I said it's linkage on the carburetor it might give us fits when we're actually trying to use it inside the car no water in here huh yes try no water or antifreeze which may have been a good thing yeah yeah if I had straight water in it and set out there froze and crack the wall oh maybe that'd be terrible hey how quick don't like it yeah I think I think they kind of did what we were gonna kind of try to do here except a little rougher but yeah I've got stuff wires cut you know where we can splice in and they were probably just wanting to move it well under move it yeah there we go yeah got it could you see if that wire they don't are coming off the solenoid yes is it gonna be this red one here as far as you can tell yeah it's it bit me well we ain't got much of a factory trying to hold that battery trying to see if I can catch that lip right there with it let me get a battery then we're gonna need a wire just to jump across through that say if she turns over yeah they may be long enough we can sit anywhere for a bit now set it in with troq yeah let's just set it right up here I don't think it's gonna hold on that battery tray we're gonna have to do some patching on that now well reach there yeah reach check it make sure we ain't got nothing crazy going on sparking around good good then go grab some wire I think we can just strip some of this wire back run it straight across there to the to that wire the odometer shows like of course it shows like 36,000 but you don't know if that's a hundred and thirty six or 236 or 36,000 you go strip it with the needle nose instead of the Buckey teeth thank you yeah I don't know where a wire strippers are but time I'll find them I'll have it stripped with needle nose that is the wire strippers yeah yeah all right I'll wrap that I'm gonna go make sure see super in pork I forgot this door don't open I don't think it went in part but it's at least in neutral it looks like it's one of those where reverses all the way down at the other end so we'll find out real quick I guess uh yes let's go shot say she'll try and if not we'll pull the plugs and try to get some fluid down in it but how bad it'll turn over I'll give you ready yeah go ahead nothing huh nothing you sure that's the wire that runs down to that it goes because if that just comes off of that nine battery that's just feeding the just so that person can reach down and pull it with my hand I guess I could always try to do it in there it's going to the main battery thing there let me get a good connection on it as far as you can tell they went it's kind of rusty yeah but I'm wiggling see what I think I got it there now it's worth the try anyways you get my hand all the way all right cut there it is yeah moving over a little bit on it I guess I'll go ahead and let it there's things out of the way nothing there's something close to that crank though ain't there you sound that right down there oh it's a transmission line transmission line better than I expected I think you were crank we know we got issues though we've got wiring issues obviously I don't know what I don't know what the previous whoever was messing with it you know hearing their but because it's not turning over I'm gonna go ahead and try it okay let me try it at the thing see if it works but I doubt it will ready ready nope nope yeah we do have some kind of wiring issue cuz yeah we're gonna have some kind of a starter solenoid issue back to that switch and heck they may even have a push button in there somewhere yep but at least now we know we can turn it over up here let's get this distributor pulled off check them points clean them up you know they're gonna need to be cleaned and I'll just run a wire straight from here to the battery so we know we've got a straight shot straight to it you know nothing rather than interfering it or anything feeding back funky looks like it's just a flat blade or Phillips just to get it off there maybe okay see if I can find a screwdriver excuse me yeah I see it no that holds is already broke off so we read that but hey that's the other end of this one that I broke oh yeah yeah [Applause] look that's not gonna keep it from cranking right how about that water phone shot tear [Music] made that one finding into the other I start say that was night played for a shorty yeah that's part of getting to work on these as you get to enjoy the good with a van he had with a good whichever way you over with it hoping I can get it off I went all these wires loose cap looks pretty good I mean plastic on anyways he definitely needs to be cleaned points don't really look terrible down there got a little bit I can see it's hard to see you later Sam I'm trying to keep those wires we didn't get on but we'll go ahead and pull this cap off hard to say when I have to see if you can find a little shorty flat blame actually I got it of course I found one hey and just wanted that I know if I sent you hunting for one I'd be able to get it i motored back in there good little ways on this cold so I dropped the screws you know [Applause] juh magnetic screwdriver there you go let me drop it yeah there's a little washer on the right yes could be worse we could be out in there this isn't a wedding yeah got it got it well man yeah there's some there's some wiring stuff on this thing that's a little questionable I'd rather it be wine then something sticking out the side of the block I'm just going to now try to clean them up just a little bit I'm sure it names need me to hold the ladder you got it no I got it I guess we need to get us a fingernail file like everybody says the thing is my fingernail file is usually my front teeth when I'm chewing my nails off ain't nobody want to hear that what starts out just getting the dirt out from underneath a minute I'm clipping them let's uh let me run a wire strike to that cool we're safe we got any fire don't [ __ ] me long enough is it no course no and never you know what other oh we might have let me try this first let me go ahead and turn that key over see if that's sending power to it or we can just avoid that question and move forward huh yeah man that wire there so we have a razor blade or yeah which one there's one right here we should have them weigh in everywhere seemed like every time I turn around I'm getting a new and something here some kind of a body tag back here I seen that well again put it back here so to make sure nobody steal it yeah there's a pretty thin gauge wire here hopefully this will be the excuse me the hardest part of it as long as we're getting fire to them points she ain't gonna be long she'll be talking to us which Wertheim looking like they had been replaced you know definitely since 1985 yep get some fires and get some gas well yep good move along then or you can I wish I'd have saved that duct tape I took off yeah trying to make sure it I hit up up against nothing should we find there uh-huh should be able to connect those two and turn it over and I'll try to reach back there with my head and see if it's sparking we know when you're ready yeah trying to okay we're gonna make my eyes find it I see it there now there we go yep no nothing no good connection there Anna every wire on here is why not not real good splices either let's try it one more time I'll grab some sandpaper if not to clean them points a little better here we go okay they're not opening people for fire pretty yeah pretty well all the time hey man so they may have put them in there and didn't just go ahead and hit it again now that I can kind of watch and see what it looks like it there we go okay yeah let me let me try to adjust them a little bit it looks like you adjust it right there with uh can't really tell what this kind of screw head that is almost looks like you can adjust it right there well that thing yeah probably I'll get your hand down in there that's for sure it's just I don't know what I don't I'm not really sure what you adjust that with cuz it doesn't look like a an allen top head it's just kind of a hole in there you see if I can just move it forward here we're not connected to the know that I've got a bill to pull it over here yeah I think I'm gonna need uh I think I'm gonna need a little allen wrench it's got that adjuster right there it's pretty small though but it it almost doesn't look like it has any kind of a no no head in it but I think if we got a little allen wrench I can adjust them some okay troubles to it I'm fine now that we got the motor turning over it sounds like it's turning over really well no problems there so nothing was locked up now we're just trying to get it to get fire which is gonna make the fuel combust and make this engine run right now the points is what its kind of allows your spark to flow through your distributor cap to your spark plugs the points aren't opening and closing and that's what's going to control your spark so having said that they drove it into spot may be true but someone been tinkering with these points obviously because they're not opening at all right now so we're just going to try to adjust it as just a little bit see if we can get them open and closing once they spark hopefully it'll be sending it down to the plugs we'll get a little fuel in it I think she's gonna run pretty small I don't know which one so go for the middle a little best don't know how I guess I don't know if you loosen them off which it hard to see you hold that ladder so loosen it off seems now open it up there I need something actually said I'm with but if we can at least see if they're opening and closing be better than where we're at right now let's give that a shot and see if it's safe there at least I open it it's hard to see if it's moving or not get that yeah wires all crossed here okay fix me make some contact all right they're opening let's think I seen one little spark right at the end let me try to go in a little bit more I coal I'm sure they're not adjusting where they need to be but they're adjusted good enough - now we're getting spark Adam more spark than nothing huh right yeah it's looking at this accelerator pump on this Oh carburetor and hopefully they don't pretty rough what's left of an accelerator boat yeah oh let me see where we put that distributor or the button yeah what Jim screws are in it oh yeah yeah that's been about right taking the care of when I pick it up being uncared-for and lose them that's all right yeah did you clean it no where there was a cobweb on and I walked off but what they're gonna stop it oh let me try to get it back on there it wasn't gonna run without it I'm gonna have you hold the screws that way okay it's a little easier for me to set it down on there and I've got a long torso but just not quite you've got to be an awkwardly shaped person to work on these I guess you got a circle and a square it looks like you don't fit here which makes it hang yeah bless you like a square paper though alo only if I have to and I have to pull the plugs out who knows what they look like yeah but we'll give it a shot first and that may have been something that may have been the reason why the points were adjusted by somebody else it may have been the plugs and still the points that and they may have just been in the process I replace them and never got got them adjusted out either way they are working now you didn't let them bite you though that's not out of the part of the learning experience yeah apparently you've already learned yeah should have it I can get this cap back on here yeah that's what that little hole was there huh why'd you two get to I don't know if it could or not though cuz it's yeah it's kind of weird I know you're lying yep see if I sputters if we don't we won't laugh yeah the best place it's hard to tell on this this linkage it's it's gonna give us some issues we actually try to drive this thing look let's get some gas I think I've got a little bottle over here squirt in there see what she sounds like she takes huh I know what's going wrong no she's thirsty I said we know we're getting fired down from the cool to the plugs but if then plugs are are fouled out or rusted up or whatever and they're not sparking then that's not doing us any good but well I know this thing's probably pretty pretty dried right you ready yeah yeah a little more I heard just a little picking up yeah go here try to just for a second there okay put my hands right over there that way when it backfires you got second it sterilizes them yeah won't have to worry about any hand sanitizer all righty she's wanting to hope that we're still getting a pretty good could you tell how much spark it was getting down there to plug it was I mean it wasn't great but I didn't know didn't have a good ground did you what go ahead try okay sound smooth yeah there's no point running blow some crud out the exhaust hate it yeah alright let's say I'm looking and then you see stuff and how it's smoking with fifty thousand dollars on it yep well I'm pretty sure as long as that fuel pumps still pumping I think we can hurt our little gas tank right here and she'll idle because I mean you could tell it was what now a little but I was having trouble controlling it with how much fuel I was putting in there so but you can tell that's what they did I just hope the tank up there so I'm assuming that fuel pump should still work but you would think so a little while since they did that do I say well although they did supplies right there but they did tie back together so I don't write a deal yeah let's go get that tank and see if we can let her idle walk away walk away from her and listen to her from a distance nerd I wearing rev it up good and not having to run it off a water bottle with a hole in it already well this $1,900 deal just got a whole lot sweeter for us to hear that old v8 engine cranked up and part as smooth as she did I mean it made it worthwhile to buy this car she sounds really smooth really tight internally there's no smoke out the exhaust I blew a whole bunch of dirt and cobwebs out of it but all in all she's running pretty good so now we're gonna try to hook up a temporary gas tank up to it to allow the fuel to pump up to actually hear it idle to be able to read the carburetor better all in all hearing it running just really makes me itch to get this thing on the road I mean it's been about 34 years since this car has been actually registered and driven on the highway so we'd love to see it out on the road again maybe she'll at least make it to the carwash for us Chinese I think I'm gonna do away with this old hose right here cause it's kind of dried you can tell something closed up the hole in it anyway so it's pretty easy to get at this spot right here so do I need to take this pill yeah we won't read that filter we could possibly put it up here but we know that gas is clean wrestle loose for any boys you got a hose clamp or we're gonna just getting it to go where you want it again yeah trying to see if there's a way around on that yeah that should work pretty good I can't believe how smooth it sounds I know it yeah sounded really good you can tell I got them points of just a perfect hour okay it actually sounds better than my dodge oh yeah they don't take much I don't take much at all said as long as that fuel pump is still willing to cooperate right we'll have to keep her going long enough to pump up to it any good wire sitting it comes in handy not having that grill now down at issue surely they didn't take it out can't imagine put some kind of a tank you got any fuel in it yes got a little bit up to try it out yeah it ain't enough to go anywhere you know buddy let's see a high level of concentration to do that I'm gonna put it back off because I don't want it squirt and I'll tickle me everywhere and their hoses are just too small I don't know trying to do it so you didn't have to use me house only house I had that even working honestly she doesn't go on that very good at all we're gonna want to replace that before it pops loose and fuel spraying everywhere yeah pump like so you probably right they took pobably try to pump it there and then ended up coming off this and just grabbed it feeding it into it so yeah let's just move our tank up to here see if that Eavis is the case now we know if we grab defeat and then still not working we're gonna have to dig into this and talk about what's what's causing it to keep from going in there [Music] and it's loose there too could be part of it too but you would think you would have just sleek out there but you know it's gonna be leaking out there when it's when it's finally getting the gas to that point I wish we had a little extra electric fuel pump we could run Brett you done yeah my clamp so I don't lose it yeah I'm afraid though once we gravity feed it here it's just gonna flood it and there's enough light a bit pour out but yeah okay you should be fine yeah I guess we'll know as soon as I tilt this yeah it'll either go into the bowl it'll blink out right all out through there and I want to say road yep I put a roof rack on top of it we get the right fuel pressure wing Hey yeah well we've heard her idle we've hard to rev that's the only thing we haven't figured out is whether or not if it'll move in gear and stuff right no I know we've got some some tire issues first we've got some tire issues we're gonna have to mess with those two tires over there where'd up I noticed this one here's went flat these ones just ain't gonna hold air nothing I don't know if we'd have any hair probably fifteens I'm assuming I would bet surely so now for teens I highly doubt we got any for teens but we mine yeah probably not good not but we might we can check out there in the other shop and see if anything we might even have like some just some different wheels you know wheels desires 15s whatever can go on there just something that'll hold air better than me sticking my yes my hand up inside the sidewall yeah I guess I'll run out there and check and see what we got you know I'm trying to hang on to anything that's that's worth maybe using again I'll run out there and see if we got anything we can put on there and be better what we got right yeah looks like we're in luck I don't know what in the world would have four teams we kept these things off of but they're a little dry their sales but they'll definitely should be better than what we got for sure yep this one's a little bigger than the night when I think so we'll probably tolerate on the back well for teens I said I have no clue why we would have had them but probably something you held on to I probably told you to throw it later on right just kind of get this on there and make it a roller again I'm gonna get a little squirt of penetrates all right and try that front one fire sir it doesn't matter I just guess I both got a bunch of now into me and something I can get up underneath here yeah you can tell that when they're just set flat I guess I'll see if we can how hard to just break these loose before I get it up too gonna be fighting that junkie tire machine yep we never introduced our our tire machine on the show till today and you'll probably see why this thing is makeshift it's rigged up it's stripped out here it only gets us by so that's what we're trying to do today is just get this be broke loose here Hecate sometimes it's easier once we get the be broke loose just to do it by hand but all in all this is we'll put up some jack stands and uh that might be a pretty good idea since how we we ain't got no brakes just kind of get it up in there and I can shift it in through the gears I got a red jack stand over here I've got a red one over here alright probably go ahead and go on up with a little bit more I'll let you Jack it up and I'll get this out from under here okay probably just skate them up under there I mean it noxious you got one two three four four one okay okay looks good to me well we want to try to crank it up see if it got wet in gear and yeah forget about that linkage we might need a we're not have to find a spring once we actually try to drive it to keep it from just revving up right all the way we go to drive it and I gave a little gas and it goes a little faster than what I'm wanting it to as there's not much to anything there to hold it backwards well we can kind of just let's just go ahead and try it out real quick to see make sure the transmissions even okay moving I don't think the brakes the brakes didn't seem like they were locked up or anything because I mean they're drugged on the trailer just fine so should be good to go I've got it in park now we got fuel we got battery shisha crank I might need to address this this belt issue and try to at least get some water in it before we get too far but I'm ready when you are really here we go idle down we need to try to see if we can find a belt to put on this water pump yeah cuz no further we're going it ain't gonna warm up that much anyways but it'd be nice and now we put a little water in it and at least now that water pumps trying to turn over yeah we have to do something now on that that heater hose where it's rotted away I think we've got some old holes we can sure that we can just loop it back into yeah I loop it from the intake they're down over to the water pump but I don't know if we're gonna have a belt like that we might have to run to the parts store real quick and grab a belt forward I'll see what we got and see if you can't find the hose or something that'll run there just like said Lupo from an tide just back into the water pump study when we first purchased this so-called we got it back to the shop and found out it was missing the belt that's going to run the generator the water pump had also ran the power steering that was based on the back of the generator there so we didn't have any kind of Beltran to town luckily we found a belt I believe is going to work for this car we just want to put some water in it have this belt on there where we know that the water pumps at least try and circulate some of this water through the car we're not driving the car very far at all just a couple blocks up the road just something where we can say hey we drove it to the car wash while some of this old dirt off of it so we can actually see what we've got going on here but all in all she sounds to be running really good we've got some tires on it now they're at least holding there it's rolling it's shifting in the gear before long you're gonna see this old girl going down the road hopefully this thing will work generators pretty good ways away from everything wrong Center this water pump is is it's not like it's locked up or anything oh I think it'll work we got slack there we've got a hatch half hitch Jamie that's had one here earlier I thought my Cyrus place it was longer and not shorter but not short now much more oh I want to get it two times man if I only knew her stuff was that fits right here newer stuff you got to pull the intake off of the change of spark plugs on some stuff that's something you can do on the side of the road for sure yeah um I guess we I mean obviously we know we got a bad hose right there let's go ahead and try to get that replaced and maybe we've got enough we can loop back into it right there yeah losing all of our tools what little tools we get I think I took that hose clamp off earlier yeah you see a flat blade just like that you try to go ahead and get this other one off - real quick okay I'll just feel more comfortable at least now when we've got some water and in the block and stuff it kind of rest in yeah hopefully that ain't all stopped out it looks like it is on it it's pretty bad but there's a big flush down the middle let me get all the way to me we have to get like a fill-up something with a pointed Hale better than that flat stopped-up is done pretty solid well hopefully at least they'll allow it to flow throughout everything else that goes I hope that house is gonna be bigger now ain't the best hole in the world but you do the hole this won't matter they slap you with it very demanding to tomorrow looks like it but it looks close too I think that's the only thing we got around leaking a little bit at the radiator I just seen what a little drip then it quit could have been something I even say it be on I see right there where there's like three little spots up on the asset drip drip but it's hard to say if it's just something I've over spilled I think we're definitely gonna be okay on it let me go grab a little bit more water top it off let's get her well I'm do excited to get it outside on the road we've got to find a spot for our battery we got to find a spot for our gas tank and we got to make a way I can kill it inside the car in case of emergency so I'll probably check this wire and see you know we were having - lights come on so that's what there's some power at the at the switch there so if I can hook that cool back into that where I can use that to kill it we can crank it up from here I just want to be able to kill it yeah I'll grab some water see if maybe we can make that battery work in there and yeah we'll go from there see what else pops up it up underneath that I'll get those rollers back up underneath yeah line up so that we got something the sides a wall to head yeah get it off these rollers and I aim for fresh air I think she's gonna this deathtrap well we were able to make our first initial test run in this 1957 Bel Air when we first found it I absolutely fell in love with it it definitely has a great set of bones to it and to know that she's up and running now I mean I couldn't be happier this old v8 motor didn't take a whole lot of work to get her up and burn again the points weren't opening closing the way they should so we were losing spark there once we got them sparking and got a little fuel to the carburetor she fired right up now we had to use our trustworthy gas tank up there that's just gravity feeding the fuel down to the carburetor because we was having just a little bit of fuel pump issues all in all we basically did the bare-bones minimum of getting this car moving down the road on its own power we made it to the car wash we're just going to knock some of this dust off of it this car is a perfect candidate for it to be just one of the cards we flip around the shop so a lot of times we'll buy these cars we'll get them up and running of course we'll come back and button up all the stuff up underneath the hood that we kind of temporary for right now but once we get it cleaned up maybe put some new
