all right guys in this video I'm going to show you how to build the ultimate Starfield Outpost but I don't mean that in the way you might think this is Big Brain Outpost building and for this the first step is to head to Venus now for me the ultimate Starfield Outpost has three main factors you have to have these three first we want to make it efficient second we want to make it easy to build and third we want to make money it's like the saying goes Works smarter not harder so we're not building an El sprawling Outpost here we are boiling down the mechanic to its core components and that is a 1,000 IQ move so the reason we've come to Venus is for one resource and one resource only dis prium this is a rare resource used to craft powerful gear and consumables invest in research projects and build structures also you can sell it for quite a lot and straight away we've skipped out a huge headache involved in Base building which is searching the whole of space scanning planets to find a specific resource just head to Venus and touchdown now I will say you do need to have upgraded Base building in your skill tree in order to build on Venus that's another reason why this is a late game base it does seem like some of the best planets are those that you can't build on straight away so upgrade your base building to let yourself build on some of the more inhospitable some of the more extreme planets like Venus but where exactly are we touching down it's a big planet of course well there are no real points of interest visible from space on this planet so I would just say head for The Sunny Side of the planet because at least that way you can see what you're doing once we touch down here's where you have to get out your scanner and what you're looking for is a civilian Outpost this is represented by an igloo icon if you have an upgraded scanner you can zoom in on icons and also press the use button to identify what sort of location it is so press the use button on the igloo icon and it will identify as a civilian Outpost the reason we're heading to a civilian Outpost is because they have a very vital element and that is a vendor pretty much every civilian Outpost has a vendor and these are how you're going to make money the general plan with your Outpost is you're going to mine it dis prium and sell it to the vendor to make hundreds of thousands of credits yes we are going to bleed this vendor dry so head to the civilian Outpost and just double check it's got a vendor because you don't really want to set up your Outpost and mine a load of dis bosium and then find out you've got no one to sell it to once you've established that there is a vendor now you need to find the dysprosium so get out your scanner and look for the dysprosium vein the nearer the dysprosium is to the vendor the better as it means less walking don't worry though if you can't find any dysprosium you can just fly to a new location and find another civilian Outpost then you can check if there's dysprosium near that it may take you one or two tries but this is is a key component of the Outpost so we do need a civilian Outpost with the Brum nearby although just as a heads up if you can't find a civilian Outpost near dprian vain after a few tries don't worry you can always just build a landing pad at your Outpost then fly to a civilian Outpost you've marked previously even if it's on the opposite side of the planet it will literally Take 5 Seconds to fly there since the planet will be already loaded in so it's basically the difference between running to the Outpost manually or going into the menu and fast traveling to it through a quick loading screen so really it doesn't matter that much where you build your Outpost as long as it's on a desium vein because again if there's no Outpost near you can just fly to it anyway now that's all sorted we are ready to put down a beacon set up your Outpost with a beacon and that's step one done and as you're about to see there are not a lot of steps to this at all the thing about an endgame Outpost is that we're making life easy for ourselves so we want to do the bare min so anyway once we have the beacon put down next we need an extractor these are what is going to extract the dysprosium from the ground so make sure you build them over a dysprosium vein 10 of these will do but there's no real exact number if you have multiple extractors on multiple dysprosium veins then you'll just extract faster but if you've only managed to find a base with one vein and a small vein that's fine don't feel like you have to search high and life for dysprosium so you can put loads and loads of extractors on it because again we just want to make life easy for for ourselves put a handful of extractors on the vein and that's good enough the final aspect of the base is the storage the dysprosium is extracted out of the ground and goes into your storage so let's build some storage containers once they're built link them to your extractors the more the better as I say as they will hold more dysprosium but let's just say 10 for now you can always build more later and as you'll see they will fill out fast not because extractors are particularly fast in themselves but because we are on Venus and this this is a classic Starfield tip and one that I love time works differently on Venus 1 hour here is 100 hours of General time so you only have to sleep 1 hour for that to count as about 5 days and after 5 days you will have Min a crazy amount of resources to sell now we have the perfect strip down efficient base extractors mine a resource and storage contains it outposts really can be that simple in Starfield you don't have to complicate it you kind of experiment with them in the early game at least I did but after putting hundreds of hours into it you kind of just come back around to just wanting them to be simple again and just use time in the most effective way and following in that mindset here is what we have to do now and all that is is to build a bed and build a landing pad so let's go ahead and do that once those a build we can start our Outpost farm so this is the general Rhythm Of The Outpost this involves sleeping for 1 hour waking up looting all the dysprosium from storage and then transferring it to your ship which is parked on the landing pad you can transfer resources straight to your ship if it is nearby just open the menu select the dysprosium and put it all in your ship now pop to The Outpost sell everything you can to the vendor and wait in a chair or bed for their money to restock now sell again and keep selling until you're out of the resource ones that happens pop back to the Outpost to loot again and repeat and here's the good thing about this method is that since you've been waiting at the vendor your storage back at the base will have filled up again so again loot the containers next stash them in your ship's inventory or if you've built an outpost With a Civilian Outpost nearby you can just run it over to the vendor instead although the downside to doing that would be that your Limited by your carry weight so yeah that is my endgame Starfield Outpost it's not pretty it's not big but it is effective so give that a go guys let me know how you get on but if you've got any tips to share then do let me know down in the comments cuz there's always a way you can make your outposts even more efficient thanks so much for watching the video and for more Starfield guides subscribe to the channel I carry most of the same Goods as gemson
