there planetary plunderers misso plays here and this week I'm going to take you all on a tour of my new new Atlantis Outpost built where else but the outskirts of old new Atlantis that's right after being told my pirate ass wasn't allowed to buy an apartment in the city I thought screw those guys and flew myself over the lake to set up some property of my own and this location isn't just good for sticking it to the UC it also shares a planetary tile with the city itself giving you easy access to all those Traders and shops for selling on all those resources and Ill gotten gains as regulars to this channel know each of these bills tends to focus on some experimental feature that I'm trying out with each Outpost what I was testing out with this one was one trying to get that new Atlantis architectural style going on and trying to make the most of the water here CU this Lake as you can see as we flow over there has this really interesting color an alal Bloom that sits on top and I wanted to see if there's a way to to incorporate that unique feature into this build and the answer is there is the thing I really wanted to do is get these Habs to sit right down on the surface of the water which was a bit of a struggle but we did get there in the end and you can see that this water level comes right up over the foundations of these Habs to make them look like they're really floating in here and then when we get inside it gets even better because those water patents are now on the inside of this Hab which creates this really vibrant living Green carpet which as you can see is moving around and these patterns change shape throughout the day meaning this room always looks different whenever I come back inside so running with that green theme I wanted to use a lot of greenery again in this Outpost and I tried hiding some of those lights as you can see there behind different plants so I can get some Illumination in these Habs without having to put up with that very industrial aesthetic that all the lighting options we have bring and this private Lounge area over here has a red cushion on the couch which was borrowed from new Atlantis doesn't tend to stay long before it disappears but you know it was worth a 5 minute track to get it for this video and then we got this private dining area here too with a great view of the city and for this hat because I really wanted to take advantage of that view I didn't want to do a lot of you know fake walls to try and separate the space so for the sleeping area I decided to go with one of those raised half flaws again using the rugs and the coffee tables and then further sectioning off this space using these plants to keep things very green and fresh feeling and tying everything back again to that living carpet that we've got here on the ground and then stepping down from that palacial bed platform I got this whole kind of dressing room area going on we got some you know boost packs helmets clothing all that good stuff over on the wall and then the poster of Bendy there to really bring back that green feeling and in the bathroom I managed to get the greenery again there as you can see on that dividing wall and floated some of the surgical trays to create these little shelves in my shower area and that shower is actually made out of a semi metal wafer and one of the sand Gardens and I think that makes like a really good shower analog since again we're still waiting for showers to be added to this game that's a pretty nice bathroom as far as bathrooms we can build go I felt pretty good about it but my favorite part of this room well actually it's probably the bed but my second favorite part of this room is this my girl's office and Armory Armory because well I'm still doing the pirating business so you know weapons and Medicine supplies are just as important as my books and monitors I'm using another one of those walkway pieces so I could get these solid walls for this particular part of the hab and then decorated it with those shelves and the Planters to make it like a decorative wall rather than another room kind of like an alve and added some pirate helmets maelstroms things like that in here to keep that pirate theme going cuz we don't have a lot of crimson Fleet related you know decor items so now I'm going to come on through to my kitchen and dining area and speaking of crimson Fleet paraphernalia I got these up here decorating the walkway which is like a display box I made using a shelf and one of the benches and that brings us on through to one of the roomiest kitchens I've built yet you can see the water coming right up to the windows which is really nice looking and went all out decorating this table we got full place setting with fancy cocktails water glasses even got the knives and FKS going here along with those great meals brought over from new Atlantis we've also got trash lots of trash because like I said before I'm still trying to keep that pirate thing going on which means a little bit of untidiness even in this Swanky Outpost I was feeling really good about this kitchen area I'm me to use some new merging techniques to create what I think looks like a really nice modern kitchen and uh the these like suets up here are actually made out of some of the pedestals and I'm going to share more about how I did that in a future video taking advantage of the lights at the top of those floater terrariums to kind of bring in like a modern lighting thing there over the countertop bar and the kitchen not terribly wide but it's you know pretty well stocked use some more of those surgical trays there to make those shelves and we got some fresh fruit and veggies another sunk down sink and uh a backsplash here too which was also made out of some of those Square pedestals from the decorations menu and I feel really good about how I was able to break up this space again whilst maintaining that line of sight throughout the hab items on display there using one of those boxed in shelves on the wall so yeah like this is where my space is currently living and you can see as well already just how much that Greenery on the floor has changed in just a little bit of time we were inside so and as we come outside we got the cargo link up there which is pretty active since we're doing a lot of trading and I also was able to use that pad then to create kind of like a wall cuz this bit of landscape was kind of barren around the water and since I was doing all my building in the water it left this really weird visual space behind it so that cargo pad filled it in pretty nicely again trying to get things on the surface of the water I was able to set the arery in here and I kind of wanted a big sculpture there too we didn't have any I could build but the amiller fill the Bild pretty well and even though we're on the water I really wanted to delineate the space that these Habs sit in so I made this wall that has that kind of sleek new Atlantis Vibe going on there that kind of comes out from around this H and off to the Shoreline to give it a border even on top of the lake and then inside we have what would have been once upon a time a nice Swanky wreck room but it has been as I mentioned before taken over by Pirates and with pirates comes Jank so we have this beautiful pool table and that really elegant light fitting up there we also have a lot of trash because Pirates don't pick up after themselves and I even found some data slates on Bessel to prove it and elevating these cabinets in style quite literally I was able to use the sort of skirting around the edge of the hab to float this merged set of cabinets up off the ground to make it look a little more futuristic and modern and then another one of those lights this time obscured by some of the hanging planters as well as one of the floor Planters to eliminate those display cases oh over in the corner we got a nice suitcase that was brought over from new Atlantis I'm sure it'll be here for a couple of days before it vanishes and a really nice big fancy nautical Compass because I don't know there still seems to be a nautical theme with the Pirates in this game even if were in space and I figured they'd like that it's big it's gold it's gy it's nautical it's stolen you know one more could we possibly won for pirate plunder then for the beds I went with these makeshift CS because I wanted to make it feel like this was a really fancy house that had been abandoned and taken over by Pirates so we got these makeshift beds set up there along with that makeshift table and then over here in these cabinets we have Contraband inside those glass cases yep I finally figured out a way to do that and I've got a tutorial on how you can do it too at the end of this video but for now come with me outside to check out this floating patio I went with a lot of red out here cuz it really pops against that Greenery that we have in the water and then the far Corner we got a nice little Fitness station for working out in this beautiful fresh air with a Peak Performance magazine over here on the table and then like a little party Zone I got my tea set cuz I like tea they're going to be all over my outposts and of course a whole bunch of Aurora and discarded hooka canisters too cuz the fleet might not know much about housekeeping but they do know how to party as we head on inside to get another good look at that water and how it sits around the hals and uh it just makes me really happy with how that whole thing worked out so this would be my beautiful fancy modern home that has been taken over by the Crimson Fleet and that is where me and my crew are currently living and we're hanging out in jemson so now I'm going to head on up back to what is I guess my walls around this Outpost we got that one landing pad up there as well as in the green houses and storage containers and I tried to balance the blues and the yellows to make like a visually appealing mix of buildings out here that would both block the awkward landscape but still really complement the colors that we have here in this particular biome and environment because even though like a lot of these structures are pretty industrial looking I still wanted to maintain that really that stylish utopian new atlantian Vibe and heading upstairs now we're going to go to these military HS which is the first time I've used these in an outpost and I think thinking here was a beautiful Villa like that would probably have their own personal security since they're out here on their own and that the security would have been encouraged to leave along with the original residents leaving these great Habs open to be taken over for our bases HQ you can see things get a little bit grungier in here but I'm still carrying on those color schemes from outside so we got a lot of those greens blues and yellows still continuing throughout this space and this is the building where everything gets done we got our engineering rigs here we got the got an industrial workbench over there to keep up with the building and I used these pedestals again from that uh decoration menu and the texture and color of these works really well inside these military Habs so I use those again to divide up the space without breaking up those sight lines and here is our inside gy because sometimes you know you don't want to lay on your backlifting weights with the sun in your eyes and I've got these Mission B terminals that I turned around to use for lockers since we don't have any lockers we can build yet and that is still driving me insane whenever I come up with a gym area I just want lockers damn it and when we're not maligning the lack of lockers here is my Armory cuz I wanted to have somewhere to finally display all of those named weapons that I just never use so I finally got all of these great things out of my cargo hold and into these display cases and think this is the first time I've used these display cases they're pretty nice um I wish they could tell you the names of all of these weapons but I cannot honestly remember them off the top of my head it's got a nice view outside of the window there and I used to have more mannequins on here one of them kept disappearing so I took it as fate now I've just got the two rip mantis armor but we've got the constellation set and the Mercury set there which is eh tentatively hanging on and another set of those wall shelves SL display boxes I found that the benches fit really really nicely as you can see in those metal wall shelves if you wanted to make some more wall options sitting those benches up on those shelves is a pretty good way to go about it and a crew station cuz you can't as sign crew without one this felt like the only place in The Outpost where it really made sense to put one of those so that's where I'm running all my pirate missions out of here on jemson because as long as the credits keep rolling in Life's good speaking of the good life let's get back outside into the sunshine cuz say one last thing to visit and that would be our mobile clinic because if there's one thing we know about Pirates it's that the work is dangerous and they get into a lot of dumbass fights so we have a clinic here on base now obviously since we've taken over this beautiful house would not have come with the doctor's office so we need a solution of our own and that's why I decided to try and make what I hoped would look like a mobile clinic that we pulled in and it's built in and among those storage crates to make it look like it's you know made out of shipping crates like we did ship it in here and that's why it's by that cargo pad and it is built out of not shipping crates but walkway pieces and uh yeah I kind of like how this turned out it was something a bit different usually you know I'm used to making kind of bathrooms or grungy bedrooms but now we have this Clinic up there on the shelves where our supplies are the space of course would be limited we got the bed there to patch people up if someone got really hurt and these things are just wide enough to fit one of those Pharmacy stations into it like it is snug but if you really persist you can get that thing in there so that would be our Clinic it's not big it's not fancy but it's got everything you need if you get a black eye cuz you're hustling someone at pool so now that I've shown you around my gemson Outpost let me show you how I went about getting that Contraband inside those glass cases and for this I'm going to build on something that an Christie 1956 posted over on Reddit she came up with the genius idea of using the floating object technique that I showed a few weeks ago to stack shelves and I figured if we can use it to stack an open shelf chances are we can use it to stack these closed ones too because because when we see them at those points of interest you know they're still functional the only difference really should be that they have these glass doors that we can't open which means they should be Hollow and if they're Hollow we can fill them and how we're going to do that is by lining up objects onto the wall shelves and then lining those up onto the back of one of these storage shelves to get them at the right height so that when the objects are floating we can just build those storage shelves around the objects so to get started with that I am going to put one of these wall shelves down here and start stocking it with items now what we're looking at here as the front is going to be the back so you need to arrange these in a kind of reverse order because what we see as the front will not be the front in the final thing and as you can see also these small wall shelves are about the width of of story shelves so if you go a little over that floating space and you fill these up it should give you the full width of those Supply shelves and then once you've got your first shelf stacked how you want it to using these front-facing shelves as a guide we're going to line up that wall shelf onto the back of the supply shelves and by doing this top to bottom it should give us all of the items floating at exactly the height we need for them to sit on the shelves inside the glass door ones when we find finally build them around and then once we got all of our shells stacked and everything lined up exactly how we want it we just have to take these Supply shelves with the wall shelves on them turn it back around and place it where we want our stacked shelves to sit so we're going to position this one here check to see if it looks like it's in the right spot and then close up that bill menu and we going to have to fast travel away because as we know from my previous video that's how we set the items and then when we return we can move these shelves out the way and see our items are floating so now all we have to do is remove these shelves from the back of the storage shelves and then see if we can get them to place where we want them around the items we just floated like so and just like that here those items are sitting inside those glass supply shelves just like we've been dreaming of since the game launched and it doesn't just work with the metal ones it works with these wooden shelves too and I hope that being able to fill these shell brings you as much joy as it has done for me so thanks for letting me show you around this first Outpost in my new universe I hope you enjoyed the tour and that little tutorial there at the end I am also of course really excited about that update that is dropping today de ating those ship Interiors has been on the top of my wish list since the game dropped so you know I'm going to be jumping straight into that so you can expect to see some flying base builds as well along with these outposts and I'll be sharing any tips and tutorials I find along the way for decorating the Interiors of those ships yourself in the meantime however if there was anything in this video that you found in any way helpful or entertaining please drop me a like And subscribe and I'll be back again soon with more building tips ships and outpost tours till then bye
