Hello there, Commonwealth Realm here. Tears of the Kingdom is packed with side activities and gameplay possibilities outside the main quest. So be sure to leave a like, subscribe,
and press that notification bell, as we are going for 2,023 likes, and let's go over 100 Tips and Secrets that will make
your 20th Zelda experience even richer! Let's start on Great Sky Island with a secret that the Zelda Team recently revealed
through their Twitter. Path under a waterfall on Great Sky Island, and since we're speaking of waterfalls,
there is an entire questline involving them, by landing on the top of Great Sky Island's
Temple of Time. Have your Zora armor ready. You can move far further and faster
with the optional wing suit and avoid draining precious stamina. Just visit the three Zonai Skydiving
wing ceremony locations. Each of them offer shrines, playing the
Rangers Skydiving mini game. And not only that, so #4.
These also come with great additional rewards. #5. Shrines are made to often be cheesed through. Most often, with our shields or bow and arrows. Be creative and always have one rocket
fused to your shield and bomb flower on the ready while
entering a shrine. But let's descend to the Surface as the Sky
doesn't have any vibrant settlements or team ups with NPCs against enemies. Yes, the Monster Squad battles which are
scattered across multiple provinces. Central Hyrule, Necluda, Faron, and far more. One of the examples in the game where we feel a true revolution from Breath of the Wild
to Tears of the Kingdom. #7. In Central Hyrule, you also find the
Stable Trotters, which's questline starting with Penn,
is one of the most charming but also important, as they open the
Great Fairy Fountains. Apart from our #8. So the Horse God Malanya, which has been moved to Akkala,
north of the lab stable. Before you go here, though,
have an Endura Carrot ready, as here, you can upgrade your horses. Yes, that is right. You can upgrade even
weak-catch to reach Epona levels. Speaking of horses, so our #10.
One that at first glance, might look regular based on its stats,
is Zelda's golden horse, but who has amazing regular speed. You will find it south of the Demon King Geoglyph. #11. Since we are in Hebra,
the shield-surfing paradise, know that by fusing frozen raw meat
to your shield, you can gain higher speed and surf
much further, especially on flat surface. This combination is my favorite to cross
this province apart from riding bears. But let's move back to Akkala, as this province
has just so much to offer, but none are more rewarding than Tarrey Town, which offers some of the best content in the game. Which brings us to our #13. This Goron's divorce
or break up service to save the ruby and sapphire you fused
to your shield to deal with the temperature in Hebra and Gerudo. 20 rupees in order to save 150 rupees. Yeah, that is a good deal. 14. Tarrey Town also hides some of the best multi-stage
side quest lines in the game, all involving Hudson and his construction company. The first part of it which sees you
racing with Zonai vehicles, helping the company president's daughter to sneak
past a pesky guard, and then use Zonai items for a great
and emotional moment. But this is just the beginning which leads to the
next two amazing side quests. 16. The first is this game's build your home,
with pre-made wooden containers, a real resource, and time sink with limitations. The other, on the other hand, is probably the most
up-close and physical in the game. Kilton's Monster Statues built by Hudson. I love this questline and how it actively encourages
you to seek out the new land, Sky and Depths of non-story enemy and bosses. But that is not all. As 18. After showing photographs of the first two enemies, you can by showing an image from your Purah Pad, get a statue of so many enemies found in the game. Both Ganondorf's, so Lynels and even Gibdos, along with Zonai constructs.
I can't stress this enough. I adore this new feature. Speaking of the Purah Pad, it is the symbol of this game's endless improvements
from Breath of the Wild. All involving Robbie, and even his lab which has been
taken over by the Yiga Clan. You however want to break in to get the
Travel Medallion prototype, along with something else. But, yes. 20. We have paid
Breath of the Wild DLC content, including in the sequel's base game. Too bad, the same wasn't the case for Master Mode. But the travel medallion can also be further upgraded. So, our #21. In order to get 3 travel medallions
at the same time. And let's be honest, this one is crucial
for the late game. Just follow Robbie's main quest line in the Depths,
Lookout Landing, and Hateno Village. 22. Along with photographing monsters,
but you already know you want to do that in order to get both the statues
and the Travel Medallion upgrade. 23. This game is Breath of the Wild quality of life improved
through and through, and it is more evident than anywhere else in Eldin. Where there used to be lava, there is now
explorable ground. And on that ground, Rock Octoroks, which can fix
any damaged weapon, shield or bow. Well, apart from Amiibo weapons. Sadly though, they can't mend our horrible relationship
with Magda or Flowerblight Ganon. Turns out, she is one of the closest friends
of Princess Zelda. Oh, we are so going to get it. Now, for our 25. Let's go to Faron, which might not have
been the grand province that some of us might have hoped for, but some secrets are still to be found
outside of the main quest. One of them are the luminous stone-eating
Dondons of Princess Zelda. Yes, the one from the E3 2019 reveal. Anyway, so our 26. Doing the stable-related side quests is essential to realize how much
Princess Zelda accomplished in the interwar years between Breath and Tears. Interwar, you say?
Yes, since 27. Lurelin is the hardest hit settlement
by the Upheaval in Tears of the Kingdom. But reclaiming and rebuilding is worth it, as this is one of the best multistage side quests
with a rewarding end. Free meals, mini games, and 28. Sea salt spa, that not only adds extra bonus hearts,
but also stamina at the same time, completely for free,
just be sure to bring a rock sword. Lurelin, so our 29. Lurelin has just as
Princess Zelda wanted it - to become a proper resort, thanks to Link's effort,
including the Water Rally. And since we're on the topic of boats,
so our 30. The pirate ships filled with monsters
across Hyrule's seas. Though the one in Lurelin only stays there
until the village is liberated. 31. But if you want a proper boat of your own
that isn't just a plank with a fan and steering stick attached, then leave Lurelin
and head over to Tenoko Island. Best way to reach this one is from Hateno Bay. But Lurelin Village will also do. Here, you will find the fishing boats that you can
Ultrahand Zonai fans and steering sticks to - all to get a proper boat and which you can also
decorate with a Korok in front. Indeed, perfection. But, 33. You can also turn these into a
blimp battleship by attaching a few balloons, fire emitters,
Zonai heads, and canons. The pirates of Hyrule will not even know what hit them. 34. But be aware as outside of monsters
and constructs, there are other threats all over the land, and none is more admiring than the Yiga Clan
and their art of imitation. I have to admit, some of them are truly hilarious
in this game. Especially since, 35. You can infiltrate them by
taking out their Surface bases and then sneak into their HQ
in the Gerudo Highlands. Here, we can also master the Blademaster technique. Perfect for use against any unsuspecting
and disguised Yiga. 37. Master Kohga is also back, and shows up in the Depths as soon as
we have gained Autobuild - another power that is required to even
gain the Travel Medallion and other Purah Pad upgrades. 38. Right next to Autobuild, you also find
a 4 eyes quest, which will reward you with a heart container
or stamina vessel. It is all about reexploring the Great Plateau
which we want to do anyway. More on that soon. But first, more about water boats,
so our 39. With Autobuild and battery upgrades
through large and small Zonaite, we can build the hoverbike which has
turned the exploration of Tears of the Kingdom's Sky and Depths into a true joy. Flying from island to island, and lightroot to lightroot - all to 40. Reach Sky shrines, but also know where Surface shrines are located,
so right above the lightroots. 41. In this instance, I recommend
turning Pro HUD mode off, but after doing the shrine, turning it on again , as it simply makes the game more immersive. 42. Fusing explosive materials to your shield
is an amazing way of disposing or targeting enemies from above. This gameplay knows no bounds, but be careful with timebombs. 43. So the combination of offense and defense, based on the fused items and materials attributes. Naturally, puffshrooms are OP,
and the perfect Lynel confusion tool. The same goes with the Muddlebud
in any monster camp. 44. Puffshrooms even work against Gloom Hands, but to destroy them, fuse electric materials. As James Bond once said,
"Shocking, positively shocking." Indeed, and 45. They are a menace,
so they deserve it, but they do have a weakness without
wasting any arrows, or materials for that maatter. Namely climbing any higher vertical surface.
They're not able to follow you. And this one brings us to the Hylian Shield,
so our #46. Unlike the real pain to obtain in 2017, it's far easier in this game. Just climb when Gloom Hands shows up,
light the cauldron, and boom! Enjoy one of the best
and most durable shield in the game. And yes, 47. You can fuse to it, including shields,
as it isn't a main story item. So everything else mentioned in prior points
regarding shield fusing, also applies to the Hylian Shield. 48. You can even fuse it to the Master Sword.
And this is the thing: all weapons that you can wield in the game,
and that aren't already fused, can be fused. After all, this is a game of combinations. 50. We will not be talking about the Master Sword, and the big story section, but know that there are
multiple ways of obtaining it. So our 51. One that follows Korok Forest, one that is tied to memories,
and one that is pure luck or skill. Just remember to, 52. Have enough
stamina vessel upgrades. Alright. Not spending more time on that, so let's move into the Depths for the next point, where we have a few very annoying sections
that are blocked off, and not really a part of the open-Depths map. Rito Village is probably the most cryptic,
so here's the location. And you're probably going to enter here
only once, but for a very good reason. And this is the thing the game -
it doesn't tell you where to enter or where to go
and what to do, since you, 54. Are supposed to discover it
on your own. In return, you can enter these hard-to-reach areas
relatively early in the game. And entering it might be a good idea, since then, you can just fast-travel to it later on,
instead of going for the pain of locating it. Though there are a few roadblocks
that you need to be aware of. So our 55. One as we all know is our
Great Sky Island, but there is also one after it. If you have reach this one earlier as I did, by recalling the stone from the
title reveal trailer, you know this one right next to the cave, then you don't even need a Travel Medallion,
as there is a shrine right next to it. So we can fast-travel easily to the door
and reopen it when you're ready. But just know: these doors require hearts, so be sure to upgrade also some of them
outside of stamina. 56. One place we all headed to early or late,
depending on your path, is The Great Plateau. We have already talked about how you get
Autobuild and an additional heart or stamina upgrade in the Depths here,
but not how we can enter the plateau itself. As this one, so 57. Also has multiple ways. The first being by paragliding from one
of the nearby hills. We can also skydive from the central Sky Archipelago,
which is right above it. And my favorite, and the most pre-calamity
way to enter it, 58. Drain the flooded main entrance
by crushing the boulders that have kept the rainwater from getting out
the last 108 years. That is correct. So 59. It has been more or less 108 years since The Great Calamity in Tears of the Kingdom. We know this, as 60. From Hudson and Rhodson's
daughter in Tarrey Town, who was born after the construction of Tarrey Town
and their marriage, plus a number of the other NPCs found in
Breath of the Wild have also aged. 61. Next to the entrance of The Great Plateau,
we also find a silent princess, though don't pick this one up as The Princess left it there
on the memorial stones to all lives, including her father that were lost
on Zelda's 17th birthday. 62. The same type of memorial can also be found
in the ruins of Hyrule Castle Town, and naturally, no one survived. 63. The same was sadly the case for the king
who perished most likely defending the Temple of Time, and was later buried
on the top of Mount Hylia. Now, we know it for certain, as it has been
commemorated with the Royal Claymore. And yes, here is tip 64.
Don't take this one, as respect for the dead, and definitely to our former guide
and commander in chief. Rest in peace. Especially, since 65. There is a gift where the spirit of the king handed us the
paraglider in Breath of the Wild. Indeed, a true classic which we can apply
to our current paraglider. Exploring Hyrule, Breath of the Wild style. 66. Above it, we also find a Korok in the same location
of the temple's spire. Callbacks and references. The same goes for the starting shrines of Breath, which are all chasms to the Depths and the eyeball
questline we already referenced. Speaking of references, 68. The Yiga have turned the Plateau
into their stronghold, so take it back and get the schematics of a vehicle that is surprisingly similar to the Master Cycle Zero. Then again, it is below the Shrine of Resurrection
that Monk Maz Koshia was located. 69. The tragedy of the Great Plateau
cannot be understated, but Akkala Citadel was no better
during the Great Calamity. Too bad that its interiors have been
turned into a cave in Tears instead of what we got in Age of Calamity. One of the most baffling decisions
in the game if you ask me. Well that, and what 70. The 8th heroine
in Gerudo turned out to be. Let's just say that Monster Maze
is not happy with the answer. At least the rewards in the sinkhole
of the Seven Heroines is great. Same goes for Link's home in Hateno,
which Zelda was in charge of, along with a new well where she kept Link's
hairband and her diary. This one points to where to get the marketed tunic,
Hyrule Castle' sanctum, which is safe to enter in Tears of the Kingdom,
at least for most of the game. What some might miss in the lower part
of the Castle is 74. The absolutely massive secret passageway. Filled with secrets like the Royal Guard
Set and Soldier Set. And Right under Lookout Landing, we also have another thing. So 75. The returning Horned Statue. So if you need extra hearts instead of stamina or the other way around, then you know where to go. 76. This game is absolutely packed and filled to the brim with secrets,
mainly returning but also some new. The Barbarian Helm for instance is hidden in this cave. And if you want another attack-buffing piece of clothing, or more specifically, the Fierce Deity's pants
and boots, then head over to the Ancient Tree Stump,
and the cave in this one. Enough of the Surface. Let's spend the rest
of this video in the Sky and the Depths, as that is what is truly new in this game. So 78. Let's begin with the Sage's Will key item. By collecting 4 of these, you can upgrade
the attack power of one the two sages. Do it for Tulin's first, as headshots are
essential in this game. And upgrading is super easy. Just go to
any blessing statue on the Surface. The other key Sky collectables are 79.
The old maps, which lead you to Amiibo content in the Depths.
No more paywall to gain these. Apart from 80. So Epona,
who is still locked behind Amiibo. Speaking of horses, so 81. Stalhorses. They are great in the Depths as they make you Gloom-
resistant as long as you ride on them. 82. It goes without saying, but if you want to face Lynels,
the Depths is the place to go. Just prepare, or you will not claim Lynel horns
and weapons, but rather Game Overs. Now, back to the Sky. As here,
we find the lifesaving fairies. Know that in Tears of the Kingdom, you can
hold up to 5 fairies at once, which is very helpful in the final boss fight. 84. Next to these, you can find the few hearty truffles
outside of caves, plus 85. Hearty Radishes and Sundelion. Cook the latter on up to restore your broken-by-Gloom
hearts while in the Depths. 86. Did you know that not only the fishing boats
can be used for non-plank or stone-based vehicles? Since one of the Leviathans has the same ability,
so cruise in style. 87. The Depths are filled with all kinds of Yiga
and monster camps, and though these can get repetitive, you sometimes
have to go through them, unless you fly above them. In these cases, attach a Brightbloom seed
or flower to your hoverbike, and don't waste additional materials to
light up your surroundings. 88. To gain attitude with your Ultrahanded
Zonai balloon, and not use any battery, make a bonfire in the basket, or simply hold a torch to ascend higher. No battery required as it is 100% organic. 89. Because you want to get up high to eventually
reach the Sky Labyrinths and balls. All holding shrines and clothing exclusive
to said locations. 90. So down to our final 10, be aware that these labyrinths are actually just the
top part of the giant Zonai-built mazes. With a top, so Sky, middle - Surface,
and bottom - Depths part. And reaching deeper into the different parts
requires exploring the other layers, so get ready to move back and forth. 91. Let's talk a little about weapons. All of metal on the Surface and even the Sky,
decayed following the Upheaval, but not in the Depths
where statues of knights hold them. Sadly, they are not exactly the best weapons,
since those are with Lynels. 92. The Depths are completely optional,
minus short dungeon sections, and the same is the case for the Sky
after Great Sky Island. Hence, if you don't like Tears of the Kingdom's
Master Mode layer, then just avoid the Depths minus the
two instances I mentioned. But 93. You will miss out on some of
Tears of the Kingdom's most creative boss fights against Master Kohga. Well that, and 94. The big bargainer statues which will make your stay here more pleasant
with their Depths set. As 95. In truth, the Depths are just running
from mine to mine, and I am going to be honest -
it isn't as exciting as the Sky. I will detail more of my opinions in future videos,
so consider this a first tease. 96. But before we leave Gloom completely, just know that the life-draining Gloom weapons
pay homage to Ganondorf's surrogate mothers,
Koume and Kotake. Now, let's finish our journey with some of the new sets,
mainly the dragon sets, which you can die Link's hair.
No hair rule, but at least, we can slightly alter Link's golden locks
at Hateno's Pay 'n' Spray. 98. Now, for the quest for reducing speed
of battery draining apart from large Zonai charges,
so get the Zonaite set. All involving some sort of Zonai puzzle of either light, Skydiving of courage, and more. 99. And those are located in the low gravity,
highest sections of the Sky. And I love that the Labyrinths and the Zonaite set island
use this mechanic. One that in truth could have an entire Zelda game
based off. It is that much fun. And the best part is that even some regular
Sky islands, though high up in Southern Tabantha,
have low gravity. Now, down to our final tip,
so 100. Which is simple advice to complete certain quests
and avoid the others. Fill out the Surface and Sky maps absolutely. Do the pen quests, yes. Beat all the shrines, yes, as it offers
such an important lore reward reward. Keeping the Hudson signs up, NOPE. Filling out the Depths map?
Only if you need a perfect map. And finally, so a little bonus,
collecting all the Korok seeds? NO, unless you want to burn Hestu with fire for giving you an even bigger golden piece of sh….. And we made it! 100 Tears of the Kingdom
Tips and Secrets, while avoiding later parts of the story. We want to make more videos like these,
and if you agree, then be sure to leave a like, subscribe,
and press that notification bell. Last but not least, a big thanks to you
for watching to the end, and all our patreon.com/commonrealm patrons, and in particular, our Royal Producer,
Charles Szasz. You rock! And please enjoy one or both
of these two awesome videos!
