100 Days in Minecraft's Ice and Fire Mod

in this video i'll be showing you how i survived 100 days in ice and fire here are my goals first tame and ride my own dragon second make a full set of dragon steel armor and third defeat a stage 5 lightning dragon alright so i spawn in the badlands and i see this bird spinning around once i got close to it it just started attacking me and it almost killed me i almost died within a minute of playing in this world but i didn't so i went ahead got some wood made stone tools and found mutton i'm not lying when i said i thought that was the end of me i was so scared that i hid in a mountain because i didn't want that bird to come after me the only thing that scared me more than the birds was the fact that only a small percentage of you that watch my videos are subscribed to my channel so if you could hit that subscribe button i would greatly appreciate it anyways i spent the rest of the day chopping trees and getting food i found a jungle pyramid that gave me what i needed to make some armor i'd say the first day went well but the next day was something else i had even more birds come at me and these were a bit different every time i looked at them i was withered and got nausea they were also super fast and did a lot of damage so i had a brilliant idea and that was to fight them in the water which limited their movement and allowed me to not look at them they dropped wither bones which apparently were really useful they were used to make all sorts of tools and weapons that were equivalent to netherrate i thought how amazing it would be to have netherrite tools at the beginning of the game all i needed were more of these wither bones and dragon bones which were not that hard to find so i plan to spend the next couple of days hunting these birds which are actually called cocktress before that i found silver from the pyramid and i made a helmet it gave me an idea of what the armor in this mod looks like which i thought was pretty neat anyways i went ahead and killed more of these cockatoos but then i saw the bird that chased me earlier and found out that they could fly i thought it would be awesome to tame one and fly around so i made that one of my missions the next day i went to go find some dragon bones on the way i spotted a cyclops next to the mountain with a dead dragon on it this guy did not seem friendly and chased me for quite a while i needed to shake him off my tail so i crossed the river where i found him surprisingly they couldn't swim which meant i was safe or so i thought until another cyclops came after me this one chased me for a while until i was able to cut him off luckily for me i found a third cyclops as it was getting nighttime at this point i wanted to see if the cyclops were actually friendly and if i was just scared for no reason who knows maybe they just want to carry me on their shoulders and just travel around or maybe i'm just wrong the next morning i finally got those bones from the dragon and i got this cool dragon head with it i dug underground and i made a pickaxe it worked just like netherrite i dealt with just a few inconveniences but i felt like it was worth it at the end i made a dragon bone sword which i could craft into some really strong weapons all i needed now was to get string for a bow and once i had that i had all the tools i needed i decided to pay my old friend a visit but he wasn't too thrilled about it i guess it didn't matter since he's nobody after all he did however leave a gift for me which i thought was very sweet now it was time to do a little bit of mining i mined pretty fast thanks to my pickaxe i got a full set of armor and found some diamonds pretty quickly i even made an enchantment table and enchanted my tools i also found a saddle which will come in handy soon i found three manuscripts that allow you to create a bestiary which is a guidebook that helps you through them on once i came up to the surface i found a graveyard with a chest that had some loot then a ghost came after me but i killed it pretty easily later i saw the flying bird that tried to kill me earlier and i wanted to tame it i threw some rabbit feet on the ground and he was pleased i got in his back and at this point i was ready to go kill my first dragon after some flying i found my first dragon and i went down to go kill it he actually killed my bird with his flames so i needed to avenge him i started firing shots of the dragon and after dropping my placer and continued to knock him back with my arrows to keep my distance after a few more shots i finally killed him and got the advancement dragon slayer i started looting his body and invaded his base there's a ton of gold laying around and iron stuff in the chests i went back to the badlands on foot to get another hippogriff which is what they're called this time i'd make sure to be more careful with him we traveled to a sand village to place my stuff down i needed sand for glass bottles so that i could collect dragon blood after that i hopped back on my bird and we flew away i found another dragon and he set me on fire i used his dragon blood to make a flame sword not only did it look super cool but it provided knockback which was really going to be helpful against the mobs i saw a black dragon fighting a cyclops which was nice to see it made life a whole lot easier since the dragon took one shot to kill at this point i had enough dragon skills to make a full set of dragon scale armor it's basically diamond armor but it looks a lot better it was time to test this armor out the dragon i encountered was really hard to deal with he wouldn't stop moving in the air and fired non-stop so i had to fight him in the water he got me low but i took him down the armor helped shield a lot of the dragon breath so i guess i would have been dead without it i spent the next 10 days preparing for my mission i enchanted all my gear killed some hostiles and got some more food my armor and chance were good i made sure to get efficiency 5 on my pickaxe since i'll be mining a lot trying to find dragon caves i also got enough manuscripts to complete my bestiary so that i have the power of knowledge on my side oh yeah my hippogriff died again so i needed to get another one i'm really not good at taking care of them after some flying i saw a dragon roost on top of a mountain i came closer and i started shooting the dragon and the dragon shot back with lightning burn this was my first encounter with a lightning dragon and i knew that they were the strongest i killed it with 5 shots which made me pretty confident that i could kill anything now but i did have a power 5 bow and op armor so my goal now is to ride a dragon but according to the guide i need to hatch a baby dragon to do that i can't tame a wild one in order to do that i need to steal an egg from a stage 4 or 5 female dragon these dragons can only be found in dragon caves while the dragons we see above ground are only stage 3. the only way to find these dragon caves is to constantly mine underground until you eventually find charred stone or frozen stone so for the next few days that's exactly what i did but the mission was a whole lot easier than i thought thanks to my efficiency 5 pick the dragon i found was the biggest i've seen yet also the lair he was in was filled with chests and i couldn't wait to see what was inside i knew that this dragon was strong enough to kill me so i played a safe and bowden from a distance [Music] the dragon had no clue where i was which made killing it a lot easier unfortunately it was a male dragon so no egg but on the bright side i did get a lot of dragon scales and the loot in the chest were extremely good but i didn't really need any of it i continued the search to find these caves after searching for a long time i finally found some charred stone when i dug through i saw a giant red dragon i knew this time it was male because it had dark spots on its wings even though it won't give me an egg dragons are always useful since they drop scales in blood plus they're also really fun to fight later on i found an opening to a dragon lair and i could see the dragon right there i started firing and the dragon didn't even look at me before i killed it i was really happy to see what it dropped it was a dragon egg i went back home and hatched my dragon and there he was i fed him some dragon meal that made him big enough just so i wouldn't lose sight of him i even have this dragonhorn that lets me scoop him up and take him wherever i want i made him a ton of dragon meal just so he could reach his max size i also made a dragon command staff so that he would stay in place and not wander off my first goal was complete once i got on his back and took to the skies for the next couple of days i pretty much played around with him and started destroying stuff with his dragon breath i was hoping there was another village nearby that i could burn down so i pretty much have everything i need to start making dragon steel armor i just need some more dragon blood i found a dragon in the desert and this time i use my dragon to spew flames at it sometimes the dragons get stuck to block so they glitch out like this and it can be pretty terrifying to see as i walk through the desert i found this weirdly shaped structure in the sand and i decided to check it out it was an underground hive home to the mir mex they were pretty easy to take down i just used my bow there were also a lot of mobs in these hives i've never seen that many creepers [Applause] before nearby i actually found my first ice dragon and it was a lot harder to take down than i expected the loot was decent i was able to get a couple of diamonds which i don't need but will gladly take i found another ice dragon which i burned to the ground this takes a lot more time to kill them than with my bow but it's a lot more fun a quick tip for people that want to play this mod one of the best ways to find dragon layers if you already have a dragon is to first go to the right biome second turn up your render distance in gamma and then hop on your dragon moving your mouse down so that you can see everything under you you have to look very carefully to see any chartstone and gold to find a dragon layer once i found the lair i started shooting at the dragon this dragon was stage five so i knew he would give me a lot of blood after killing it i was sworn by mobs and since i don't really care that much about the loot in the lair other than the books i kind of just burned everything to the ground after i picked up the dragon blood i started looting the place once you find a dragon there you'll have all the diamonds you'll ever need there's visible diamond ore everywhere and there's a bunch of diamonds and diamond gear in the chests there's also some really good books that will save you a lot of levels and time from enchanting moving on i just needed to kill one more dragon to get all the dragon blood i needed i found this weird pink mob coming after me which i think is a zombie villager but i'm not quite sure anyways i killed this dragon and i get all my dragon blood now all i need is to make a dragon forge i had all the blocks i needed to make it except for just one more fire brick so after killing another dragon nearby i got my scales i had everything i needed and i made my dragon forge i got my dragon to breathe fire on the forge and i crafted my first dragon steel ingot i didn't realize how long the process took to actually smelt these i also got tired of fighting mobs so i put a ring of fire around us for safety eventually after waiting for what felt like forever my dragon finally smelted all 31 ingots i made a full set of dragon seal armor a sword and a pickaxe with that being said i had just completed my second goal in this modded world i went back home to enchant all my stuff but this time i made sure to put thorns on my armor to deflect dragon breath now it was time to head out and finish my last goal which was to kill a stage 5 lightning dragon the strongest mob in ice and fire i knew it was going to be tough so before i did that i looked through my guide to find anything that would help me one of the mobs called the hydra drops a heart that gives me tons of regeneration when it's in my hotbar so i went from swamp to swamp to find this hydra and i found some interesting things on the way i found the stone building on the beach and before i search any building i always make sure to burn it in fire just to be safe i did see a swamp nearby so i went to go check that out instead but i got sworn by birds so i burned them as well not too far from that place i finally found the hydra's lair i went in and whacked it a couple of times with my sword but it poisoned me so i had to retreat i went back in and took out most of its heads but i made the mistake of going back in the water when a hydra loses the head it can regenerate it back only if it's not on fire so i had to bring it out of the water [Music] i brought it back inside and killed it i didn't get a heart though so i had to keep searching for them i went to another swamps look for one as i was running away from mobs my screen turned pink and i had no control over my body it was a siren luring me to her with her song but i quickly took care of her before she could do her worst i still needed to find another hydra but i found another water creature it looked pretty big and hostile so i took care of it with my dragon i also found the cyclops then and after i killed the one that was in there i was curious to see what he was hiding all that was in here was sheep and shears in the chest i guess that explains why they always have sheep around them anyway after burning down yet another village i found the same stone building as i saw before i was really curious to see what was in there so i looked at my guide and it told me gorgon lived down there and said in all caps do not look at her eyes or turn into stone i needed a blindfold to take her on but i didn't have any leather so i couldn't do it however not too far from the temple i found a mushroom biome with another temple and cows to give me leather the game was literally telling me to go in there so i did i put my blindfold on and searched for the gorgon i found one of her stone victims so i got super scared the gorgon herself wasn't that scary she just poisoned me a little and after i killed her she dropped her head and if i wanted to i could use her head to turn any mob into stone which was definitely something worth keeping on me it was almost nighttime and as i was flying across the sea i got pulled in by the siren again to make matters even worse another sea serpent came after me as well after i took care of it i saw my dragon was drowning i really thought my dragon was about to die right here in the water i had trouble picking him up in the horn but after catching my breath i was able to put him inside on the hunt for the hydra i encountered a couple of lightning dragons but they didn't give me too much trouble and were pretty easy to deal with i found another swamp with another hydra but this one didn't drop a heart either i also killed another one and another one and another one and still no heart i was about to give up but after killing just one more hydra i was able to get it now i had everything i needed and was ready to take on the hardest boss in the mod a stage 5 lightning dragon it was day 100 the final day i was able to find the underground lair and i also found the stronghold too i thought about beating the game right after i killed the dragon but i realized i didn't have any under eyes so i saved the chords and was going to do that another time i knew i was as strong as i could possibly get but the dragon just sitting there still terrified me i took the first shot and woke up i dappled up and i went in to fight [Music] [Applause] after one final bow shot i finally brought the dragon down i went to loot its body and there it was the stage 5 lightning dragon skull sitting in my inventory it was at this point that i finally completed all three of my goals and i survived 100 days in this hardcore modded world this is definitely my favorite mod and i hope you guys try it out anyways thank you all
