has always hunted for knowledge in the unknown if you wound up heading to Earth super early in your playthrough like I did you might have been disappointed to see that our beloved home has now become a dried up Wasteland of chlorine Mercury lead chlorosilane and and what little water remains considering this is a far dystopian look into our planet's future in the absence of civilization one has to wonder what landmarks might remain such as the Great Pyramids of Giza thing is that you'll need to NAB some books for the pyramids and other landmarks to be seen in this case you'll need to buy a book from Sinclair called the ancient civilization of Egypt and don't forget to collect that snow globe classic literature so many books to read and so little time speaking of books there is a wide variety of classic literature that you can find throughout your time in Starfield of course you won't be able to read the full versions of every single one of these only excerpts though they don't serve much purpose in the game besides selling certain books to Sinclair they might be worth keeping around just in case you want a taste of some historical stories you may not have read before some books we've found so far include Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens Moby Dick by Herman Melville and even Frankenstein by Mary Shelly reading their stories is a revelation not only for you know the Pure Imagination but the window you get into long gone historical eras I'll pay handsomely for any books you find like that Curiosity the Wonder is not that the field of stars is so vast but that we have measured as one might expect from a game so heavily inspired by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Starfield pays tribute to a few of the organization's missions what made the rover Curiosity so special was its successful landing on Mars in its extensive investigation into the planet's environment which has been ongoing since its Landing back in 2012 and you could see curiosity for yourself in Starfield H sort of some locations feature a hefty piece of Machinery that looks an awful lot like the Rover's head cameras as for the rest of it well who knows what happened maybe starfields curiosity hit a few snags on its way back to Earth and had its remains repurposed this is where we belong opportunity for those unfamiliar opportunity was another Rover that NASA launched back in 2003 long before curiosity unfortunately a massive dust storm ended its 15-year Mission as NASA could not get a response from the Rover over 1,000 signals were sent by NASA between 2018 and 2019 before the organization declared its mission was finished to find opportunity in Starfield you will need to either read a book about its missions or visit the NASA Museum during your mission onar and find Opportunities exhibit explore Mars long enough after and you might stumble upon the now decrepit machine the Empire State Building the United Colonies only succeed because of brave men and women like yourself keep up the good work citizen going back to Earth you can find the heart of New York while exploring the desolate fictional version of our world however triggering its appearance does require the same steps as the Pyramids of Giza the book you will need to read up on is called our lost Heritage in case you want an easy to access copy just head to the Mast tower in New Atlantis and grab it from President abello's office she won't mind hopefully hey give that back I'll take that thank you scammers respond we've been trying to contact you about your ship's extended warranty in our time of visiting new civilizations and the occasional Bounty Hunter coming for our heads there is one strange encounter some of you might discover in my playthrough I decided to take some time to go explore the solar system and when I arrived in Pluto's orbit I was greeted with a ship that claimed it was trying to reach me about my ship's extended warranty now normally one might inquire and think that Starfield wouldn't have such a shady cat such as this but I'm going to spare you the trouble this is a shoot on site situation do not entertain it just start firing Al the Mantis wait wait don't shoot I am unarmed look we can help each other I can be useful just don't kill me Bethesda games are no stranger to the occasional campy superhero tropes we had the mechanist in Fallout 3 and the silver shroud in Fallout 4 so what does Starfield have the Mantis and it's one of the coolest quests to come across now do note that access to the Mantis is completely randomized you can trigger it by looting any random spacer you come across or in some other missions and acquire a data pad labeled secret Outpost once you locate this secret Outpost you'll be faced with a perplexing puzzle no we're not telling you what it is but solving it will be well worth your while caribdis 3 human of Unknown Origin detected designated Outsider this is an undisclosed secret location please identify purpose or depart this is perhaps one of the coolest planets in the game caribdis 3 is a planet that features a special kind of society one where clones of historical figures from throughout time live in peace and Harmony okay that last part was a lie there's some shady stuff happening behind the scenes though there are a few quests you can do here too and one of them will net you a very special companion the Renegades will not submit and one day we will be free a note for Alex Haye since it's reveal in 2018 we had spent at least 5 years eagerly waiting to play Starfield even longer for the super hardcore Bethesda fans who had known about the game's existence years prior unfortunately not all of us made it Alex Haye was the developer of Toolbox Pro and a number of other mobile applications and was one of the biggest fans behind the game during its development he sadly passed away in early 2023 due to lung cancer to honor him Bethesda put in a special note hidden in the eye and it is is truly heartwarming to read rest in peace Alex Apollo [Music] 11 to end things on a somewhat brighter note here is one other piece of NASA history you can find yes you can visit the first moon landing and much like the other landmarks you will have to find a certain object to make the location available and yes it is a book and you can actually find a copy of it in the lodge plenty of opportunity to search high and low in this place it seems be sure to snap a good photo with the American flag or Apollo 11 itself before you resume your travels knife fights in Low Gravity can be
