" Take Charge " - September 19, 2021

impact services in these services we have a special teaching session and each week a specific theme that is assigned with you in mind so that you can be equipped to overcome as you navigate the challenges during the week knowing that you have the power from the almighty god to overcome all principalities and powers tonight's theme is take charge and so with that being said i want to acknowledge god the father jesus christ the son and the holy spirit and give special acknowledgement to our presiding bishop apostle dr delphi davis and his wife and co-founder minister dr petrova davis acknowledgement on this side of the show my wife reverend patricia hutchinson and our children assistant pastor reverend joyce lynn rose and her husband and the entire miramar assembly power of faith ministries now i want to give special acknowledgement to you you will tune in each sunday evening each sunday morning each wednesday afternoon each saturday evening for the various services that we offer to you thank you also for your comments we certainly appreciate them much now allow me please to pray and then i will delve into the word of god for you to empower you and to impact your life in a special and powerful way father god in the name of jesus i pray now god that you will unctionize me and that god you will unctionize those who will be tuning in to this special teaching session i pray god that you will equip equip us to overcome equip us lord god to address the challenges equip us lord god to win god i pray lord god that this world will resonate in somebody take charge that god with your equipping with your power with your anointing they will take charge oh god of their lives and they will stand and defend their lives and their families in the mighty name of jesus god i pray you touch the equipment god i pray touch the internet lord i pray you touch the access to persons homes in the name of the lord and god i tell you thanks in jesus name amen the theme as i said before is take charge and the scripture reference is taken from sent luke's gospel chapter 8 from the verse 22 through to 25 and i want to read this particular text of scripture for you and then i will get into the teaching what the lord would have me to say to you if you have your bibles please turn to saint luke chapter 8 from the verse 22 through to 25. listen to what it says from the king james version now it came to pass on a certain day that he went into a ship with his disciples and he said unto them let us go over onto the other side of the lake and they launched forth but as they sailed he fell asleep and there came down a storm of wind on the lake and they were filled with water and were in jeopardy and they called to him and awoke him saying master master we perish then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and they ceased and there was a calm and he said unto them where is your faith and they're being afraid wandered saying one to another what manner of man is this that he commandeth even the winds and the water and they obey him here ended a portion of the holy word of the most high god amen now remember the theme take charge the word charge or take charge is referring to the believers using the authority that have been given to us by the lord this authority is designed to defend ourselves to defend our families to defend the nations to destroy and to break up and to dismantle every strategy and plan of the devil the world take charge then means to be entrusted with a responsibility after being equipped another meaning is to to step up to one's godly authority and to lead from the front another meaning is to be in control to navigate the current path or for your future praise the lord in the text of scripture jesus christ told his disciples that they were going on the other side of the lake he did not tell them the process but he told them or neither rather neither did he tell them the journey but he told them the start we are going to the other side and the bible said that they went into the ship with the aim of reaching to the other side number one we should analyze this text jesus christ spoke and jesus christ said that they were going to the other side it means then whatever happened on the lake whatever happened in the water whatever happened to the boat there is a guarantee this direction there is a guaranteed destiny that they were going on the other side now the problem we have is that oftentimes the process that gets the believer into trouble the process is what causes us to be discouraged the process is what causes us to be daunting or to be to have a difficulty dealing with the process is normally the problem because oftentimes we are told that this is where we're going to end up but seeing the process the hills to climb the storms to go through the fiery trials that we encounter in our lives sometimes persons throw in the toilet and say i am not going to continue because i can't take the process but if somebody can take the process there is a guarantee that you will reach to the other side if you can take the process you can make it if you can take it you can make it if you can weather it you can reach the other side if you can hold on until the change come then you will experience the change in your life now let's analyze the text of scripture praise the lord now jesus as i said to you before he was the one who spoke he told them that they will be going on the other side now ah at jesus's word they travel on the boat together at his word they sailed on at his word they went on the lake into the boat with the desired destiny to the other side now the bible said something which is important to us the saints of god the bible said that jesus christ fell asleep and while he fell asleep the bible says a wind a a boisterous wind and wave came and attacked them on the boat to the point where the boat was filled with water now i believe that maybe they were trying to get the water out of the boat but the more they tried the more the water came in now oftentimes when we face danger in our lives we want to address the matter by our own strength our own might our own power and our own will and oftentimes we find that our own might and power and strength we reach to a dead end meaning we are not able to go much further because the issue that affects our lives oftentimes they are spiritual in nature and because they are spiritual in nature we cannot address them in the flesh we cannot address them in the natural we cannot address them with natural sayings and natural hands and natural feet and that is why we must ensure that we are empowered by the spirit of god because these things that that comes often times against the believers come up against us as spiritual urachaldon as spiritual winds and the spiritual waves and the authority that we have been given is to use the word of god and access the power by faith now let's look at what happened to the disciples jesus christ fell asleep the wind and the waves came up against the disciples and the disciples went to wake jesus listen to what they say in the verse 24 master master we perish praise the lord they understood that the only person on that boat that could assist in them being rescued or being saved was jesus christ they understood that if jesus christ could get up from his place of sleep then he would do something about the wind and the wave maybe they were analyzing and maybe they were saying that if jesus christ could lend them his two hands to assist in the process of taking the water out of the ship or throwing the water out of the ship then it would be another pair of hands to assist in the process but they did not understand the power that jesus christ carries the power that jesus christ demonstrates the power they may have seen him raise the dead they may have seen him heal the sick they may have seen him do many miracles but they have never seen him spoken to wind or speaking to wind nor waves and so this one was new to them they praise the lord however they walk him from his sleep and they mention something to a master master we perish jesus christ did something to demonstrate his deity and the power that he carries the bible said that he arose and he rebuked the wind and the raging of the water and they ceased and there was a calm what am i saying towards my brothers and sisters there is power when we demonstrate faith in god there is power that is available to us when we put our trust in god there is power that we can speak and things happen according to the world that we decree and declare from our lips why because the believers are equipped and empowered to speak to every storm and every issue that rises its head above or against the believers now jesus christ spoke to the wind jesus christ spoke to the raging sea and there was a calm immediately there was a calm now watch this to demonstrate to us that the power that jesus christ used in order to speak to the wind and the raging waters has been deposited in the disciples and it then means that they had the same authority number one because of their association with the lord and number two because of the equipping of the lord praise the lord now jesus christ when he rebuked the wind and the raging waters and there was a calm the verse 25 says he said to them where is your faith now when we look at that word where is your faith it demonstrates how it connotes the idea that the expectation is that the disciples would demonstrate the faith to speak to the water the faith to speak to the wind and the wind and the raging water would hear them and will obey them there is a difference between hearing something and obeying it now what's the difference the difference is something or someone hear what you say and they understand what you say clearly but with just hearing what you say and do nothing about it it means then that that person just have the knowledge the knowledge of what you say now the obedience aspect of it is that when whatever they heard or hear you speak they obey what you say and follow based on your declaration now jesus christ said to the wind and the wave he rebuked them and they ceased they obeyed his voice and that is why my brothers and sisters the power that the lord has given to the believers is for us to use all of us have this access to the power that we can call upon in the name of jesus because remember now that it is in jesus christ that the power and the access is open up to us is like a locked door and the access to that locked door is jesus christ and so we see in the scriptures where the disciples they use the power in the name of jesus and we see the results accordingly now i don't under i don't know if rather the disciples understood what jesus christ meant when he says where is your faith but it is for us now to understand what he really meant he meant that the disciples as i said before has the power unto and ought to use the power against the powers of the wind and the waves are every satanic power now they were so caught up they were still distracted because listen to their words they said what manner of man is this that even the wind and the waters obeyed him they were not really paying attention to what jesus christ was commanding them to do they did not pay attention to the rebuke that they received from jesus they were so caught up in the power and the authority that jesus christ carries within him not recognizing that the same power has been given to them and the same power has been given to us take charge that's the word for us tonight take charge take charge take charge and use the power of god against the powers of satan take charge and use the power of god against every sickness and disease take charge and use the power of god to and not to annihilate annihilate and destroy every works of the enemy take charge god has given you power to take charge and so if you are on the job and you feel the praise and you feel that you can't continue take charge and be clear in the name of jesus that you will go through praise the lord if you're if you're being afflicted by the enemy if you have been afflicted with some sickness and disease take charge and declare health upon your own body in the name of jesus christ of nazareth god has given us power in the name of jesus in order for us to take charge and to live victorious and to be victorious understand victorious and so i want to declare upon your life that throughout this week whatever the enemy tried to throw at you you will take charge and destroy whatever the enemy is trying to do against your family against your marriage against your home against your children against your church against your community against your job i want for you to take charge and understand what you have within you who you have within you and who you are connected with and if you can bear these in mind my brothers and sisters are saints of god you will be able to stand and you will be able to be victorious in your life take charge allow me at this time to let you listen to the song before i pray again for this having understanding now that you have power over every power of the enemy according to saint luke chapter 10 verse 19 your power now you are equipped to use the power to take charge i want to pray for you right now i want to pray that no weapon that form against you will prosper i want to pray for you that whatever seemed to have been a locked door for you will be open whatever seem to be a barrier in your life that prevents you from fulfilling god's plan for your life that it will be destroyed that whatever jericho wall that is around your life that's trying to hinder you from stepping to your destiny stepping into your destiny rather will be broken down will fall flat in the name of jesus believe god with me saints of god and accept this word in jesus name father god i just want to thank you for another opportunity great god to challenge and to charge your people oh god the saints of god lord god the word for them is take charge i pray god for every weak believer that you will strengthen them every powerless believer that you will empower them here god every believer walking god in fear and doubt that you will empower them in the name of jesus i pray for transformation right now i pray that you grant them power to overcome every power of the enemy i pray you destroy yours i pray your set captives free i pray god that you will rise up god and give them the victory in the name of jesus i pray god that they will know what they carry within them and god they will know who they are connected with lord i pray even now that you will transform and you will fix god i pray or heal those who are in need of healing i take charge right now and i speak the word of healing and health i speak the word of peace and favor i speak the word of goodwill i speak the word of hope i speak the word in the name of jesus that they will arise and they will god access the power that is available to them father touch again father strengthen again in the mighty name of jesus christ of nazareth amen i want to thank you very much for being here with me on this sunday evening as you receive your charge as you receive the theme take charge that for this week you will walk in that authority and no devils will intimidate you no devil will affect you no devil will cause you to doubt the power that god has given to you you will take charge and use the power i want to take the
