You Wont Believe How I Used DOLLAR TREE Solar Lights for High End DIYS | Patio and Outdoor DIYS 2023

today I have a really fun video playing for you I am talking all about the new Dollar Tree solar lights so solar lights are a staple for summer DIYs but I found some incredible options at the Dollar Tree so they have these really fun little tea light ones you can actually take the little plastic piece off and just use the bottom if you'd like they have Lantern Styles the classic style and then these little kind of like lava lamp bubble ones I've heard them called so I had some incredible ideas on how to share some fun projects and how I put these to good use so I wanted to do some like fun creative unique projects so the first thing I'm doing is grabbing a couple of these metal flowers from the Dollar Tree now you can bend the little petals so I thought it would be cute to put this little tea light solar light candle down inside these will be something like really colorful and fun Whimsical to set out on your patio area and especially that it has these little candle lights inside so the first thing I did was set it down on the flower and just kind of peel up the petals this kind of makes it look like it's meant to be there and not just glued directly on top but I wanted to just Elevate these a little bit more you could skip this part but just to be fun I thought I would add a little mirror underneath I thought it would also maybe like make the light pop a little bit extra but these look really cool these were two different size mirrors but they do light up a really pretty at night but also look really cute during the day [Music] foreign one of my personal favorites of the solar light selection are these little lanterns now they have a candle down inside of them but the candle doesn't light up it actually the light is on the top but it makes it look like The Candle is lit up so I wanted to just paint these a different color and make them look a little bit different so I go ahead and pull the tops off I pull the candles out and I take a piece of painters tape to cover over the solar piece because I do not want to get spray paint on that go ahead and cut it down to size and then take these outside and spray them with some of my favorite gold spray paint foreign now some of the paint did stick to my painters tape I'll just touch that up with a little brush later on but I went ahead and replaced all the pieces stuck the candle down inside with the tops and I love these this gold color you definitely could leave them the black color but just for a high-end look I went ahead and painted them gold I took a clear glass candle holder painted it black to elevate one a little bit so this would be as a cute set but I will definitely be picking up some more of these because I loved how this turned out foreign [Music] option is this solar stake light so it has all the pieces inside the little State piece that goes on the bottom so make sure that is included when you are shopping for these at Dollar Tree because every time that I shop there I can definitely tell people have kind of messed with the solar lights so always make sure all of the pieces are there I go ahead and pull the stick out and put it in place and then you can pull the little Tab out these light up really nicely and I was going to share with you that you can use vinyl to cut out if you have a Cricut or silhouette machine but just to make this super easy I'm using a Sharpie marker so everyone can do this and just kind of freehanding a couple of little lightning bugs that I think look really cute and whenever this is lit up at night the little lightning bugs are going to show up you could literally do any design that you would like and I also love to customize this with some random like Dollar Tree stickers so anything that has a really cool shape or letter so you can personalize this but went ahead and just played around with them foreign I would recommend if you are going to be putting a sticker like this on it I would do a coat of mod podge or spray it with a little bit of clear coat but I think it's super cute even though I free handed the little bugs I think they're really fun and then you could definitely customize this to fit any scenery I think these will be so fun to use for this fall so most of these solo lights come with steaks on the bottom that you have to like stick in the ground but sometimes it's just fun to set little lanterns around outside like on a side table or like a dining outdoor table so a really fun idea is to pick up one of these glass candle holders I go ahead and paint it the same color as the solo like that I'm using I did swap out the solar light that I shared because um it wasn't working so I did have like the flickering light but I switched it out for this one and I love it so much more just glued it down on there and it gets rid of the stake and you're able to just set this down on a little side table for extra lighting thank you foreign [Music] next up another favorite are these little tea light ones I was blown away whenever I saw these in the store there are so many things that you can do with these so I shared gluing them in the flowers before you can use these as is because they're so cute and already put together but another fun way just to elevate these a little bit more is to pick up some of the black tall like candle holders from Dollar Tree just glue these on top now the hot glue against metal and plastic it's not going to be like forever long term hold if you don't mess with them they're going to stay there but if you need to change them out or you want to try to use the on and off switch you can easily pop these off and just glue them back in place but for these I just glued them on top of the candle holders and I used three different candlesticks so they were elevated a little bit different but these would be so gorgeous for like entertaining A like nighttime outdoor table skate foreign [Music] way to use these grab some of the Dollar Tree toilet plungers as well as any solar stick light that you like I like these little like glow ones that kind of really flicker so I took two of these toilet blenders and I went ahead and left them on the like rubber base for a few minutes just until I got to paint them black and let them completely dry because it held it up really nicely on the table let these dry and then I am attaching these lights to the top so I pull it off of the steak I did use my miter Cutters to try to trim down the wood piece of the bottoms just so it fit a little bit nicer but before you glue anything together always double check that your lights are working because like before I feel like some of them I struggle with to get the light to work properly [Music] foreign [Music] because there wasn't a lot there to glue the solar light to I did secure this with some nautical rope and just continued to wrap this around and then I had a lot more to hold the glue to so I really like this it also gives it more of like that nautical look and these were perfect just to kind of push in the ground and light up at night time [Music] another fun way to use this hack if you want to move the lights up on your patio area is to stick them down in a planter I just grabbed two dollar tree planters painted them with some gray paint filled them with some styrofoam so I could push the lights down inside and then made them really heavy so they're not going to blow around with some extra rocks now I started with rocks just from the driveway so I didn't have to spend a lot at the Dollar Tree to fill these up and then put the pretty like black rocks on top [Music] foreign [Music] I wanted these to set inside the planter at two different heights so I did put the stake on the first one so it would stand up really tall in the back and then just took the steak completely off for the second one and pushed it down in there I did glue a little piece of nautical rope around the first one because it was wanting to fall out of the styrofoam and then like I mentioned just filling this up with rocks you definitely can use any rocks that you would like you wouldn't even have to purchase any rocks but I thought these smooth stones from the Dollar Tree were really pretty and it really coordinate well with the solar lights good [Music] there are so many incredible ways to use these at Dollar Tree solar lights I love picking them up from year to year I also just do super simple projects like sticking them down in a little bouquet that I want to set outside and that adds in so much
