Wuthering Waves: 8 Things I Wish I Knew Before UL40

what's going on guys my name is toi and today I'm going to be giving you guys eight things that I wish I knew before I reached Union level 40 in wethering waves now I've been playing this game for decent amount of hours I don't even know the exact amount to the point where on my main account I did reach Union level 41 and then on my free to-play account I currently Union level 34 so I put in the hours I put in the work and I got a few tips for you guys the first tip I wish knew is to save your Solin now this right here Crystal solvent is uh 60 wave plates per use uh and you get a decent amount of these I think maybe you get 30 in total or something uh as you play the game and as you know by fighting bosses doing tacit discords or just getting level up materials for your characters you're going to need this wave plate now you're going to want to save these until you hit 40 and the reason for that is because of the echo datab bank now the main problem that I ran into when I hit Union level 40 was the echo XP now Echo are probably the most important thing in this game uh beside team compositions and rotations but there's that's where you're going to get the majority of your stats that's where you're going to get your crit rate crit damage attack percent and energy regen all that good stuff you're going to get it from your Echoes and in order to get good Echoes you're going to have to at least hit datab Bank level 18 to 20 preferably 20 because the drop rate of five star or or rather gold Echoes is going to be much higher at that point but that only unlocks at Union level 40 so you're going to want to hold on to this Crystal solvent so then once you hit 40 you're able to just drop a bunch of it into your Echo so then you can get good Echoes for your characters and then you're able to take on some of the harder bosses or modes in this game but since we're already talking about Echoes right now uh we might as well talk about what the Echo actually help with and that is your characters now in this game you're going to want to only build either two or three characters for your team and this is actually tip number two build the correct characters now I'm going to show you my account my free-to-play account where I did things correctly so as you can see uh I have Kelch here I actually have to switch that uh so as you can see we have three characters that we actually have built we have a level 60 yinin uh level 60 celo and a level 60 Verina and then if we go over to our other characters Jan's only 40 she's only 40 she's only 40 and then from here it's five and below there's no other character here has uh any levels really except for yangyang and the Rover because you had to use these in the very beginning of the game and as you can see if I wanted to level up a character I do have some level up materials here that are just ready on standby and those materials are only available to me because I spent them on the correct character characters I knew what characters I wanted I saved for those characters and I built those characters based on my original plan also small flex but I have yinlin with her weapon in addition to Karo and gan's weapon in addition to Gan uh and uh yeah this is strictly free to play no money has been spent small flex but I had to get it out there so I only Built these two to three characters because when you're going through the story that's pretty much all you need and in majority of the cases you only need two characters and and that's because they give you a trial character to use within that mission whether it be Gian xan Shing L Yang like there's going to be that third person on your team and during the story and you know going through getting XP through the story uh a lot of the stuff isn't even difficult to the point where you would need a solid threers team with a solid three-person rotation so sure you have two characters to build but what characters do you build do you just build your favorites or do you build characters that seem strong well that brings us into tip number three which is to focus on your main DPS and a buffer so again we can go to my account and see that yinlin came out not too long ago so before that it was Kelo with mortify and baiji but what I started to notice is that in many situations baiji wasn't even needed because I did not need that much healing because I was just going through the story so I could have just gotten through the story with just kcho and mortify so in many cases I just needed those two characters to clear the content that was in the main story and there wasn't really a need for baiji which is why I believe that you should build just your main DPS and then a support that's in the form of a buffer because that's all you'll need going through the story and you'll be able to save a whole lot of resources doing that but say you want to level up quick and you want to get to the point where you're able to do a decent amount of damage and you want to do it in the fastest way possible and you'll need your Crystal solve it in order to do that well that's not exactly true because the majority of your XP is going to come from your dailies which is 2K 2,000 every day you get 2,000 which is a super solid amount especially when you're just starting the game in addition to the main story the main story as well as the companion missions are going to give you a decent amount of XP and that is going to Skyrocket your account and accelerate the speed of how fast you'll level up than if you were to use the crystal solvent and all these other things to do like the tacit Fields as well as different bosses around the world but I do understand that after playing the story over and over and over or consistently uh it could get boring and it could kind of make the game a little dry which is where the exploration portion comes in this is the point where you can go and you can find different chests and fight the title Heritage challenges whether it be blue purple or gold that's when you can actually take a break from the story do some side missions maybe or just explore the map and if you are interested in exploring the map much more efficiently there is a site down in the description uh it is an interactive map for withering waves you can create account and it'll save your progress and you'll be able to click once you've done something once you found something and it is a very clean way to just make sure you're not missing anything that is in the game but you don't exactly have to do that and you can just explore at your own volition and while you're exploring you'll be able to test test out the different characters that you have in your account or even the ones that you don't have if you go to your guide book and then you click on right here basic training or rather skill training you'll be able to test out every character that is in the game and by doing this it could really help you figure out what characters you should pull for or what character you should choose for your selector or something like that if you're a brand new player at the end of the day it is how you play your character rather than how you build your character sure if you have zero crit rate your probably not going to be doing things but it gets to a point where you have to learn how to play your character and how to fight a particular boss to actually succeed within this game so although Vina calaro as well as yinin is a super good team that out puts a decent amount of damage with the correct rotation which if you guys want to know the correct rotation I actually have a video right here that goes pretty in depth on how to use that team and also another team for yinlin even if that team does a lot of damage and such that doesn't mean that you you have to use that you can use whatever character is most interesting to you whichever character you like the most and the only way to find out is if you try out the characters because in the very beginning I saw videos about ccho and I wasn't too sure if I liked that character so on my main account I didn't pull him but then I ended up getting him on my free to-play account and it turns out his combat is not that bad and it is somewhat of an enjoyable experience but I never would have known that unless I tried the character out and if you're worried about when you get the character and they're not outputting as much damage as they did in the trial it's a skill issue no but in reality don't worry about it it's just because they have Echo and weapons that are leveled up but don't get to that point where you just want to farm these purple Echoes so then your characters can output a little more damage that will all come in time which is also another reason why you would want to save your Crystal solvan back from tip one because you'll be able to get to the point where you start farming these Echoes these much stronger Echoes and your characters will perform much much better and you'll also have the XP in order to do so and the last tip tip number eight is Don't Rush the game is good and you should really take your time with it you don't want to get to the point where you play through the game and then you're burnt out although I haven't experienced that myself I know other people are experiencing that so honestly just take your
