so you really want to get a dog but your landlord is an absolute miserable sod and won't let you have pets well no worries because hunter will be the perfect class for you and if you're new to a hunter and you want to play one on fresh servers or you want to boost one at level 17 jump straight into northrend this guide will have you covered we're going to cover absolutely everything when it comes to leveling a hunter in raf classic like for instance what specs should you play what is the best pet one of the best talent and pet talents tips and tricks to speed up your leveling and lastly we'll talk about the overall play style by the way guys for everyone who subscribes to the channel on this video i will be sending you a labrador puppy in the post so what specs should you play i think if you're playing a first server beast mastery is definitely going to be best in slot and makes your pet so powerful that the pet actually becomes more powerful than the actual player but luckily this isn't pokemon so your pet will continue to follow your commands with the pet this powerful you'll just never take a scratch of damage which means you barely have to stop to eat the downtime is barely existing for a hunter and it was even like that in classic and since we can get a bear with two aoe abilities on fairly short cooldowns they're very good at holding aggro or multiple enemies so you can just sit back multi shot and volley to your hat's content without pulling aggro you basically have a miniature federal druid as your pet however if you're extremely well geared from raiding in tpc honestly you're probably better off going marksman since questing mobs will probably die in a couple of shots honestly you can like do aim shot like one auto shot on the mobile probably dead what people normally do is viper stinger van camera shot since that returns a lot of mana to you but yeah mobs are largely dead in like two shots but if you're grinding dungeons 70 to 80 then it's probably better to go survival since this is a spec that has the best aoe dps for clearing trash so what is going to be the best pet honestly i think for the majority of situations when it comes to leveling i think the bear is best he has swipe which is fairly similar to a thorough druid swipe he can aoe cleave multiple enemies at once and hold aggro on him and then later level when you're in that talent tree you can get thunder stomp but like i said if you're doing solo leveling and your deck time is somewhat gear honestly you can just go with whatever you want the mobs are going to be dying in two shots anyway might want to go for a wolf to boost your damage a little bit so this is a good beast mastery leveling build for people who are playing on fresh servers you go deep down into beast mastery and then level 62 we're going to actually respect to get more points in marksman so we can pick up go for the throat but yeah i mean you can change points here and there if you want long story short this is just going to increase pet damage and pet aoe damage which means the pet is better able to hold our grocer but you can sit back to your heart's content using multi shots volleys and serpent stings or multiple enemies this is what respect looks like when you respec you take points out of certain beast mastery talents to get further down the marksman tree to get go for the throat i mean long story short without one it just works out to deal more damage and just leave it about you may be thinking why enough would you not want to get beast mastery well like i said you're going to be using the bear the whole time because the bear has good aoe abilities whereas all the other pets don't well as far as i know there's a lot of pets out there i haven't looked at them all but like the exotic pets like the worms and the devil sauce but don't have a unique aoe ability whereas the bear has swipe and then when you're leveling you know 62 to 80 people i just like to expect further down into max when you know getting rapid killing efficiency barrage concussive barrage event range weapon spec and eventually you know you're going to get to level 80 bob's your uncle now when it comes to glyphs i really like glitter mending okay i like to play you know the play style where i'm actually using my pet to take down multiple enemies so that i can take on multiple enemies at once what normally happens when you're doing that play style is your pet will need more healing so i like to get glitter mending as soon as possible i also like to get glitter serpent sting i will be using serpent sting basically by multi-dotting multiple enemies when my pet tanks them now if you're going to level in maxim this is what you want this build just really optimizes all of your shot damage while you know not prioritizing really like increasing pet damage and stuff like that so that you can just viper sting camera shot aim shot mob dead move on to the next one you'll want to get glyph of aim shot as a priority to reduce the cooldown on aim shot by two seconds or you can use it more frequently when you're chain pulling glitter serp and sting i know for mobs that seems kind of weird to use because the mobs are dying so fast but it does actually increase the damage of camera shot because if you read khmer shot insta deals 40 of the damage done by your serpent sting so it's gonna increase the damage of chimera shot so normally what you're going to do in his mixing you know his aim shot serpent sting camera shot even sometimes your viper sting to get your mana back and just kind of chain pull like that it's really really easy to level as a marksman hunter when you're really well geared now this is the pet build that i like to go for this obviously if you're leveling like one to 70 on a fresh server and leveling in beast mastery the main thing that we need to pick up on the pain of death is blood of a rhino so that the pet takes forty percent increased healing so you've got four percent extra healing on men pet five percent extra this talent even more with the spirit bond talents or your pet heals like a truckload when you use men pets and then we definitely want thunderstorm but as soon as we can get that because there's an extra aoe ability which helps the pet keep the aggro when we are doing a ue when you unlock thunderstorm that's when you can start being a bit more ballsy with volley and multi shot and then honestly all the other talents you can pick what you want but i definitely would recommend ball speed to increase your movement speed but when it comes to other things like you can go for last stand you can go for increased damage you can get the increased you know aggro generation on growl it's really up to you remember to use the viper sting camera shot combo if you want to get loads of mana back all you do is viper sting then come here a shot and there you go bob's your uncle you get a load of mana returned a vote disengage technically jumps you back from your current position if you jump and spin your character around and then you disengage you can use it to move forward it's a little trick that i'd recommend because obviously it is going to speed you up a little bit particularly in indoor areas where you can't use your mount remember when at level 70 you unlock this direction you can use that on the pet if you are taking anger or need to get it off you remember to always be moving particularly level 1 to 10 when you don't have a pet right you can strafe and auto shot to your heart's content and more or less the mob shouldn't actually engage you in melee range and you can use more abilities on the move now because a lot of abilities like aim shot aren't casted anymore there's also a great speed method you can take advantage of as a hunter in zolfred graveyard level 43 to 51 this will get you a lot of xp and get you massively ahead of the pack if you are leveling on a fresh server so we'll leave a video linked to that in the description if you want to check that out remember if you're boosting level 100 to level 70 what you can do is grind pvp to get a full brutal gear set since it's purchasable from honor points now and it's got really really cheap with this new patch change this is some really really good leveling gear you can't really get anything better apart from jumping into somewhere i'm also going to leave a little link to a weak aura which is a really good quick feed pet button you basically just press it feed your pet keep his happiness bob's your uncle and this is a fairly basic one but i think it's definitely important to cover for newbie hunters you always need a good pet attack and a pet chill macro so you know slash pet attack but also you can put slash cast dash charge or any other intercept ability in there ever need like a pet follow macro too and always keep your weapon upgraded guys so if you subscribe to the channel servers so go and check that out now when it comes to play style when you're low level it's really straightforward all you can do is strafe serpent sting arcane shot and then stop for your auto shot until the mob is dead then when you get a pet you get a bear straight away and when that bear gets swipe obviously it's rough of lich king now so your pet will get all his abilities straight away when you tame it so level 10 your bear will get a swipe and that's when you can start taking on one to two enemies at once at level 10 i would recommend you doing two enemies you know feeling the waters a little bit of what you can do depending on what gear you have and you know your skill as a player and also when you get more confident and you unlock abilities like multi-shot and volume and you can start to pull free maybe more than three enemies so i'm aware dude you send your pet in let him get a few swipes off then you're gonna serpent sting the main target serpent sting the second tiger of all you can actually serve and sting the first target straight away and you know pre-multi-shot that's all you do so what you're doing is just increasing your efficiency because your bear is cleaving two enemies at once doing damage to enemies at once which saves time rather than doing one at a time and then you're spreading your damage a little bit by doing multiple serpent stings then when you get motor shot you could start using multi shot but obviously use it later in the fight don't start popping off multi shot straight away because you're probably going to pull aggro off a second mob you know use it a little bit later i mean if you do pull agro on a mob and it starts running at you honestly just get your pet to attack it and a pro tip is to own auto mode growl and actually manually keybind growl so you actually only have to use growl when you actually lose aggro when we pet loses aggro because normally when your pet is attacking a mob and you're attacking it you don't actually really need growl normally to actually hold aggro on it anymore because in ruffle lich king things just just different it's just so much easier for a pet to hold aggro i remember you always have feign death and if that doesn't work if you don't have it on cooldown you can just pop an immolation trap on the ground and just face tank it to be honest and you know i'll probably melt anyway with a certain stinking immolation trap on it and you can melee a little bit don't be afraid to use melee abilities you know they are pretty good always keep your pet topped up with men pet like i mentioned earlier the glyph and lover rhino and spirit bond massively buff the power of men pet which is very useful when he's taken on multiple enemies higher level that's when your pet can unlock like thunderstorm like at level 48 that's when you can start using volley multi shot way more and earlier in the fight remember that your character is like thirty forty percent more powerful and raffle rich king just because raffle lich king now exists so the mobs will probably die before even any real threat to you and even if you pull aggro you can just like kite and finish them off anyway
