At an airport that was almost completely closed down ahead of a big storm, with a worthless Delta ticket in my hand, I was actually able to book a spirit ticket on the spot that got me the hell out of there ahead of hurricane.

The flight attendant that was running the announcements, actually made a joke that "Sorry there wasn't any in-flight entertainment but please lay your head back, fall asleep and dream that you're on Delta, and then wake up realizing that they would leave you back at the airport!"

I’ve flown with frontier a few times and have had a good experience every time, much cheaper than other airlines if you aren’t looking for anything except transportation to somewhere far away. All the staff were very friendly
