Dad’s Final Flight Announcement

ladies and gentlemen's Kathy Conrad welcome aboard Delta flight 1461 service to Detroit got everybody on board you might have a couple of seats empty and uh you might luck out and have a seat empty next to you stretch out a little bit it's going to be let's see today we have three hours and 50 minutes it's gonna be mostly smooth because it's early in the morning uh we are going over there the Western Rocky Mountains there's always a few bumps here and there um associating with that but hopefully we'll have a smooth ride we get into Detroit it is going to be partly cloudy mostly clear skies light winds and temperature right now is 28 hopefully it'll warm up a little bit before we go I just um I'm going to ask you a quick question because I want to see a show of hands how many people here were born before 1976. oh we got a lot of old people on this plane I'm disappointed um give me a minute here because I just want to say 1976 I took my first training flight in the Air Force uh at the Air Force Academy in Colorado so 43 years later and eight different airplanes and about 12 about 10 or 12 000 flights and 25 000 hours of flying glad to have you here on my last flight [Applause] sorry if I'm a little emotional so kind of hard to hang up for 45 years of your life anyway um in case you're wondering uh if we're going to have a good flight we are because I have my wife here and I have my three kids and my daughter-in-law so this is probably going to be the safest flight you've ever been working and that's because my wife says it has to be so enjoy your flight um my last parting shot before I got to go out the door when we land in Detroit is I'm going to go ahead and authorize for everyone to have complimentary drinks on the flight if you want something uh you can just order it and uh we'll put it on Delta's cab thanks for flying with us and we'll give you nothing in here foreign [Applause]
