Working Gold Exploit - Hotfix 23 and Honour Mode Tested | Baldur's Gate 3

welcome back Travelers I'm glad to see you made it I'm Colo and today I'm here to tell you about another gold exploit in balers Gate 3 that can be used to get all the items from the vendors this is hot fix 23 March 30th and I can confirm that it works in honor mode as well and I'll put up some footage on screen of that as well but let's get into it let's go over the whole process first of all the first thing I did this is a very lowlevel playthrough at the moment my character is only like level three on this file but I went to camp and I respect everybody back to level one because every time one of your characters actually levels up the vendors in the game will resupply their actual stock so the way that the exploit works now you're going to have to resupply the vendor stock over and over again unfortunately makes it much more tedious and annoying but basically you're going to end up with the same results the first thing I wanted to let everybody know after you know the fact that I respect everybody and they're all level one if you're doing this to try to seed an honor mode run like to get ready with a bunch of gold you're going to need two containers for this situation to work and the key ring doesn't seem to work this time around but right here in the Druid Grove the vendor is right there Aaron he's right there a a Ron you run right here and there's a backpack sitting here you can loot this there's nothing in it you can pick it up it's not stealing and then if you come right down here on the same path around this corner there's another backpack sitting right here and loot this one it's a piece of sun melon that was watermelon all right I've seen a watermelon before larion you're not fooling me all right you can pick this one up as well it is also not considered Steel and so that right there is all the containers you need so if you're just trying to do this real fast get an honor mode run ready to go before this gets patched the two containers you need are sitting in the Druid Grove right next to the vendor so you can Sprint to the Druid Grove as fast as possible do this as many times as you can and get your run seated the unfortunate part is that really for this to be viable you need access to Withers so if you haven't gone and gotten Withers yet you probably are going to want to do that that way you can Respec your characters or hire some hirelings that you can Respec and use them that way but either way here's the actual strategy talk to the vendor of course you're going to remember you're not the only one sell him is this the backpack yeah okay it didn't pull up the tool tip sell him one of the backpacks that way the backpack is over here in his inventory and then we're going to open up that that backpack in his inventory we're going to shift click select everything else in his inventory and put it in his backpack so you can see right here there's 114 things in this backpack it's 329 lb and 9400 gold to buy that backpack got it so now you're going to open up your backpack on your side this is why I said you need two containers and unfortunately it does not seem to work with a keychain we're going to do the pretty much the same thing that we were doing before you're going to shift click everything that's in this bag in the vendor's inventory now you put all their stuff in the bag the bag still open you shift click all the stuff again you're going to drag it over and you can't put it down here anymore ladies and gents this is the part that's getting people you can't put it down here in this inventory slots area put it up here on the picture of the bag itself and notice my money I've got 24458 gold 24458 gold and also now I have everything from a a Ron's inventory so now he has nothing he has 331 gold to his name which is only because I didn't put his gold in the bag otherwise we would have taken that too we're going to close the inventory go to the level up screen and I highly recommend you don't do what I did and use BS or spellcasters for this uh choose a class that is much faster to level up than this like a fighter or Rogue or Barbarian that has very few actual things you have to select when you're leveling up we're just going to do one level up so I leveled that character one time and now need anything else you talk to the vendor again of course but please his stock is replenished he still has your backpack we're going to go to the barter window this time he has the backpack still we're going to highlight everything else put it in the backpack open up your backpack shift click everything drag it onto the bag 249117 so it went up this time because we actually took his gold this time the first time I forgot to take his gold but basically you can just keep doing that so the higher level your characters are the more times in a row you're going to be able to do this do a level up steal the inventory do a level up steal the inventory go to the next character do a level up steal the inventory and you can do that over and over and over again and you're going to end up with the same exact result that the other exploit had except it's much less convenient and much less fun to do this way I still firmly believe that you know the exploits are fine and they should just leave them alone I I liked the other way I think we should redo that way go back to you know how it was back then but I fully understand it's a laren's game if they want to patch out the exploits that's that's on them but at this point you have all the inventory from the vendor and you can send this stuff to your Camp you can sell it to another vendor let the vendor stock replenish and sell them the trash and all that stuff and you can you can make gold this way unlimited gold it's just tedious and you really don't need unlimited gold you really only need as much as it's going to take to afford the most expensive thing the vendor has that way you can do this exploit but you are going to want to stockpile some gold if you want to set yourself up for an honor mode run in the future because if they end up patching this exploit and you don't have a bunch of gold sitting around then yeah you got a bunch of items for free along the way but now that's over with and you don't have anything to show for it except those items if you set yourself up where you get a bunch of items along the way and stockpile some gold then when this inevitably gets patched uh you'll have some gold L around and you can still continue buying vendor inventories legitimately with the gold that you made not so legitimately but ladies and gents I just wanted to fill you guys in there is still an exploit you can use it works perfectly fine in honor mode get out there and get you some items and some gold before this thing gets patched if you want to take advantage of it if you don't want to take advantage of it that's fine perfectly fine I I fully understand that if you want to play the game legitimately I did too and a lot of us did here I keep seeing this in the comments people are like oh you don't need gold exploits you can just loot everything along the way and I'm like yeah yeah I've done that I I've done that for hundreds hundreds of hours walking around looting everything in this game and the the surprise value of finding those items is gone now and it's not the game's fault the game doesn't you know wasn't advertised as a thousand hour Adventure it's not their fault that I played their game for a freaking ridiculous amount of time and now certain parts of it are boring but looting and inventory management is one of this game's weakest points in my view and being able to get around that part where I didn't have to worry about pickpocketing I didn't have to worry about freaking getting caught in honor mode and having to deal with all that nonsense and you can just have fun in the game to me fun is the most important part I know a lot of people it seemingly isn't the most important part but if you're playing a game for a main reason that isn't to have fun what what are you doing I don't understand video game it's a game anyway this wasn't supposed to turn into a freaking lecture I just don't understand the comments people saying like yeah oh you guys could just loot for hundreds of hours like yeah we know that bro that's what we're trying to avoid having to do with these exploits because the Looting part for hundreds of hours is not fun the using that gear that you looted for hundreds of hours part that's the part I want to get
