whenever I say why you say why why well that's pretty good come on why every time I say it you say it after me why do we sing these songs why do we do forward why do we get up and come to church why I'm gonna answer that question this morning yo yeah yeah y'all ready I don't think y'all ready I got nowhere else to go get your Bible turn to Colossians chapter 2 verse 14 everybody say why the Bible says by counseling the record of debt that stood against us you notice I said us you notice it says us here's a good thing I'm a sinner you're a sinner don't you wish you were a sinner to where you are there you go everybody nasty but didn't Jesus everybody done wrong but in Jesus you need to have a but Jesus up Lynn you're sitting somewhere you can say I was an alcoholic but Jesus I was lost but Jesus I was addicted but Jesus hey anybody know what I'm talking about just give God a clap right now you gotta understand I've been at forward conference so I think I gotta start at 90 and work my way up I still got some of last night last it was just the greatest four days ever [Music] everybody say why but canceling the record of debt that stood against us with all its legal demands we owed something and if it's a legal demand I love that little kid go ahead go ahead with yourself that's good if a kid's gonna get this everybody should get it all right somebody had to pay the debt and God sent His only Son to do that whether we believe in him or not he's the reason why we do all this I'm gonna do it now just so you know not her this school year I came to your this area to do a school and when I got there the school was like at 9:00 I got there like at 8:15 it was in the gym gym big gym two sides bleachers on the ends they make everybody hear me speak so 93 12th grade was coming when we walked in the gym they're having some gym class for volleyball doing something and this girl screamed and started running toward me I wanted to run away but she was fast so there's no use even trying all right and when she ran she hugged me she crying she says I came to for word conference last year you have no idea I was gonna take my life and you save me I tell all my friends now all her friends were there and they go she's been talking about you for two days saying you coming to school and all her friends were there and then went and she goes thank you thank you don't you don't you get what you did the 1,100 volunteers the people who took vacation for the past four days only heaven knows what you did for these young people and I got the cool part I get to see a girl and then she said oh she did she's like she told everybody everybody she goes young he come Church y'all need to come check this out y'all gotta be there and she became a witness all because a college student said I'm gonna give three or four days at the end of June every year there's a mom who put on that forward t-shirt you said I'm gonna help people find her seat and because of you for conference works we're sitting backstage with Pastor Tracy we leaned over and we're watching the video and he goes and let's not never ever let this get old to us let's always be in awe of what God does and let's always make it happen I tell people that this is home this is home for me I said I know I look out I see people who I see all over and you have to understand that God is doing something great I believe he's coming back and I know it's sooner than when we got up this morning so let's keep on what do you say I'll make a deal with you you make a deal with me let's do another forward what do you say it's doing what it's gorgeous keep going let's keep going just keep reaching young people I was out and back and it broke my heart the girl came up hugged me and said my mom killed herself and this is all I have foreign cumference that's crazy innit that's the kind of young people and that's where they live and they look to us and we need to be there for them so thank you for each Apple for helping me be there for the young people thank you so much she's clap for yourself I had to do that had to do it I gotta go gonna go everybody say why come on why now check this out this is he Jesus set aside the debt nailing it to the cross I love the head Philippians chapter 2 verse 8 says this and being found in human form he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death even death on the cross as I was growing up we used to have Easter plays my church can just destroy the story of Jesus cuz we were not good okay look so one time we had Jesus he was like six foot seven inches tall that's my kind of Jesus right there that's what I want I want a man gee I don't know no region dude running in a forest with a white dress and a purple sash hugging a tree I want to Jesus Jesus I want Onur Schwarzenegger what guns saying I'll be back that's my kind of Jesus right there so we had a big old Jesus and on that Saturday we did four different shows so I did a second show halfway through we noticed Jesus was shaking a little more than normal on the true cross and his wife came up and says he diabetic we almost really killed Jesus all right so we're like what do we do as she goes if he can get a coke and a Big Mac he'll his energy come right back I said okay I said let's put a Coke in a Big Mac in the tomb and until Jesus is going to be there so we did well somehow Jesus got all wrapped up in his Big Mac and coke and when the stone was rolled away and it bounced the time at you the spotlight goes in here's Jesus Big Mac in this hand a coconuts and he's like I don't know what made him do this but it was cool he took one more bite before I come out that's Jesus right there does good just messed up the whole thing that's what it was look at this and I go ha loved it and I was a kid growing up my mama used to put us to bed she used to always put me and my brother to bed she would always tell his Bible story she's the best Bible storyteller ever she would get us and put us in the bed and she'd go boys it's in the Bible and she starts stories like my favorite one was Shama there won a david's mighty man he had a lentil farm peas he raised peas and the Philistines were robbing all the peas from the Israelites that's crazy and my mom like she got into it she turned the chair back when she's riding me like a horse she goes all these they had no shirts on Bowman yelling peas peas we want peace but one day they went to the wrong people since there was a farmer in that people he raised his peace he loved his peace Sharma had his right he's like there with us and he's like come on and he took him all out and I went shut the front door and she goes that's how much God loves you he'll fight for you and she's like it's in the Bible but one day month ago everybody said mama go and my dad put us to bed let me explain him my daddy likes six-four six-five ball-headed with a vein right here to pump up and down he looked like a Klingon from Star Trek back in the day you know you kids don't know just oh hey my dad he had a deep voice too when he said go to bed he was like go to bed and we like I'm out love you from afar I'm going and so I'm like going but I got a brother five years older than me my brother stops and goes tell us a story and my dad's like he exactly mama tells us a story so he comes in the room puts us in bed and he opens the curtain by my bed he goes see the moon tonight's tonight and I'm like for what and my dad's like tonight's the night the swamp man comes all I can hear is my mom it's in the pipe Oh my dad's like the swamp man will climb up the side of your house and make noises don't open the curtain if you do he'll suck you out the window and your mother will never see you again the swamp man loves little chubby black people if you get out of bed he will come the end y'all laughing cuz you ain't chubby that's why you laughing right now my brother goes you scared I went behind scared was that skirt yes then my brother go how dare you get out of bed got a bad day tell the dog dare that's back in the day anybody know I'm telling now you got to get up when they double dog dare son jumped up I'm like come on man all of a sudden on the window I jump in bed and my brothers in bed with me he's like open the curtain with no he said open the curtain I went no he said why I said he'll shut me out the window my brother went bro you don't fit out the window he had a point oh hey hey open the curtain nothing open the window nothing so I stuck my head out the window boom it was my dad it was making noises when I stuck my head out the window he just grabbed me by the throat one bar that's all right I told him a lesson he had to change my bed when he got off that ladder all right my bad my brother the curtain everybody hurry I love it some of you having a really good time some of you're like my pastors on the front row it was Easter and we were little my mom came in and obviously could tell she was little emotional she pulled up a chair and my brother said mama what's wrong she together I have a special story to tell you and it's very important and I went all right it happened to be Easter weekend and when my mom started to store is all right can I tell you all the story yeah okay you know it's really funny you should see these are older people going [Music] so here then my mom pulled up a chair she said come close so I went to my brother's bed and we sit on the edge of the bed and she said it was early on a Friday morning a 16 year old boy woke up before the Sun even rose because he heard something outside his window and it was different when the boy jumped up he stood in his room and he listened and he heard it again so he went to his window there faced the alley in a big city and he lifted it up and a mr. the early morning fog and smog and the nasty holders that happen he heard something different a voice and as he looked down in the alley he saw a man the man was tall six four arms like tree branches he looked like Thor before the last movie if you know I'm talking about her and the man and the knight was singing and it didn't fit because the sound is so beautiful the man was singing rags rags trade your old Purdue rags rags trade your old for new the boy immediately turned around and grabbed his jeans put him on put his shirt on you know I got to follow that dude and he'd snuck out he always snuck out how she snuck out of house when he got to the alley he couldn't hear it no more so he stood still he heard rags arias so he took off running when he got up almost near the man he didn't want him to see him so he's hiding behind a car and the Ragman was pushing an old cart and he stopped the little boy stood still thought he son but he didn't instead he put the cart down reached in and he pulled out the most beautiful handkerchief you've ever your life it looked like it had gold stitching around it and he walked toward the back gate of a house lifting up the handle walking in the backyard the teenager saw where he was going there was a woman in the middle of the night sitting on her back porch who had a handkerchief covering her face and she was crying so hard that her shoulder shook and the black man walked up and said reg trade your hold for you and he handed out that beautiful handkerchief and the woman switched with him and when the woman took his handkerchief and put it by her face immediately she stopped crying and when the rag man put her handkerchief by his face immediately the tears started to flow he turned and went back to his buggy crying so hard that his shoulders shook he picked it up in between catching a breath he said rags rags trade you over Duke crying and weeping teenage boy was intrigued so he started following him Ragman turned the corner and was walking and he stopped and he was staring at trash cans teenager was like what's he looking at and as the boy looked a little closer in between the trash cans was the teenage girl her head was wrapped in a bandage obviously she had been hurt there was one trickle of blood going down her cheek he put the cart down and he reached in still crying and pulled out the most beautiful bonnet you'd ever see in your life when he picked it up he walked toward her and he said rags trade your old foreknew she looked at him but it was weird have you ever seen somebody looking at you but they're not looking at you I mean like the lights are on but nobody home like Dale about three french fries short of a happy meal you know sama live across the street from the cracker factory I could go all day but I better stop all right this girl was like there but not and he said trade you're old for new and she reached out and she took the bonnet and he reached up and started undoing the bandages now the teenage boy watching her saw something a little weird that little streak of blood going down her cheek it reversed and he went back up and when she put the bonnet on her head she shook twice she was home again she said thank you and the Ragman started putting her bandage on his head and that's when the teenager almost cried out because blood started to pour from the top of his head so bad that he's crying he's shaking he turns and gets his bug he starts pushing it again and he's like saying rags rags trade you're old and he had to wipe his forehead because the blood was so hard and then all of a sudden he went to the main street and there was a man his son's up there was a man with both hands in each pocket leaning against a pole a light pole as he was leaning in there the Ragman switch he put his buggy down he walked up to the man and he didn't say rags rags trade road for new he said sure sure are you going to work today the man acted like he wasn't there and he said sir are you going to work today and the man kind of shifted himself to turn from him he says sir he switched and he said sir give me your coat give me your coat and the man said you need to leave me alone I don't know what's wrong with you the Ragman will attempt this sir please give me your coat everybody look at Renji it's crazy the man leaning against the pulse said and you gotta look at me when the man took off his coat he did a little weird he put his left hand out of his pocket swung it back pulled his arm out of the sleeve take the same left hand grab this side and pulled his coat out revealing that he didn't have a right arm you see he had shoved the sleeves in that pocket pretending he was normal but he wouldn't pretending that he has something that he did not have and the ride he said fine here and the Ragman took his coat off the same way flung it back took his left turn pulled it out put his right on pull-off jacket and when he did the teenager hiding was like oh my god because the right arm of the Ragman stayed in the coat and the man put the Raglan's coat on you had a resume again okay look let me help you out you gotta listen to me very carefully because here's the deal we're born in sin we live in sin we dance in everything we do in life is trying to make ourselves better and sometimes we do things that we shouldn't have done go places we should have gone you see there's somebody this morning you're sitting on the back porch of your soul and you're weeping and you're crying this morning before the Sun even rose you were sitting on the back porch crying in your handkerchief what you don't understand is Jesus saw you there and he is the Ragman and he's walking up to you during this service and he's simply saying trade your new trade yo for though somebody touch your neighbor and say why cuz that's why Jesus came and died on the cross you're not alone this morning you not by yourself on the back porch of this world he cares about you I said it this morning I'll say it again ain't nothin but the biggest blackest greeting card from heaven you ever seen in your entire life you need this to do it let him take your sorrow somebody in this room you did something you wish you hadn't done you ended up in a place you wouldn't you hadn't gone and it hurts you so bad this world has wounded you you just sitting with the trash cuz you've been told you ain't none but trash you'll never be nothing else you'll never matter but here comes Jesus and he's taking the bandages off you please put him on himself [Applause] there's a lady in the black and the lady beside her in the goat - both of you - ladies you're the reason why I'm in this church and you're the reason my pastor sitting on the front row I'm peace preaching to both you ladies is it all right I know there's a lot of people but can I I can't finish until I pray for you could you come here yes you do [Applause] [Music] come on free chapel stretch your hand I don't know what's going on I don't know what's going on in Jesus name in Jesus day in Jesus name and to decry the heart Jesus name in Jesus name give him PCG stay he Jesus name Jesus is taking tonight [Music] somebody touch your neighbor and say it just got real touch other neighbors say is is no game hey I know I know I'm different I'll on my butt dude if I'm not here to reach your sold and why am I here this is what you do [Music] y'all good I remember where I was I remember I'm a DD but I'm good good there's somebody somebody here let's just be honest bro you're fake you've sold part of yourself and you're trying to pretend you're good you're not good but Jesus is coming by the pole he sees that your right arm ain't real but he's about to replace what you asked but in all this you notice what's this the Ragman said trade you're old for new he never took any one thing from anyone they had to offer Jesus is a gentleman he will give you opportunity after opportunity to come to him and get right but you have to give him the broken you have to give him the hurt the man had to take his coat off first we had no idea that Jesus would give him his arm but guess what that's what the cross was for then he paid the debt for us I gotta finish now believe it or not we ended this cuz my mama she told this story better than I could even do it and we're into it and she said the Ragman had one off he's weeping he's crying he's bleeding with one arm and he picks up the cart and he starts pushing it down the Main Street and the only thing on that street is the trash dump and as he's almost at the trash dump this teenagers going what is he doing words de nun down here and as he got close he heard coughing and the Ragman stopped put his buggy down reached in and pulled the most beautiful blanket you've ever seen in your life out and he looked over there was an old military army guy 87 years old under an old army blanket coughing wheezing and the Ragman walked over and he said trade you're old who knew the man under don't blink it was totally covered and as he peeked out and looked up immediately the old man said Jesus Oh people don't play y'all young people need to hear rag man all that junk it's all right but old people we we already been there when I started this there was old people got unless Jesus y'all know it's Jesus and he gonna make it right he gonna change it all that's right old man looked up and he said Jesus and Jesus says here and he gave Jesus his old bloody blinkin and Jesus gave him new there's the soldier in the room who's suffering from what you saw when you were in battle Jesus is walking by I never said it like that before to trade your old for now Jesus walks into the trash dump junkyards teenager followed him and all of a sudden Jesus puts the cart down one arm crying weeping bleeding pulls out everything that he got from other people it starts climbing up this hill the biggest trash dump hill you've ever seen the teenager is watching him because he only has one arm he starts sliding back down go up slide back down teenager wanted to help him but he didn't want to be seen so he hid in an old abandoned car and just watch struggling struggling struggling finally when he got to the top Jesus took that old army blanket wrapped it around him laid down on top of that heap and he died now my mom's crying I'm cried I said mother why he died my mom said he had to he had to the little boy fell asleep in that old abandoned car mama said that it was Friday night when the boy fell asleep he must have been tired coz mama said he slept all the way to Sunday morning but when he woke up Sunday morning it was the brightest light he liked all the Sun's up then he realized the Sun was coming from the top of that trash heap did he realize it's him that's the Ragman six four arms like tree branches looking like Thor before the last movie and the Ragman from the top of the heap looked down and he said son what do you want me to do and the teenage boy climbed from that old abandoned car and he said Jesus would you dress me would you just trust me today I have to alter cause that's why I preached as fast as I could my first is for people who have come to free chapel and their sin in your life you see the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus and that this moment God is looking down and he's saying trade you're wrong for right trade your sin for joy you see Jesus paid the price on the cross to carry the weight of sin for you and me but he's a gentleman and he said in Romans chapter 10 9 if you declare with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you'll be saved so this is a cry for salvation it's a cry but you don't have to sit with the trash anymore you don't have to wheeze anymore you don't have to pretend right when it's really wrong it's a morning for you to get right with Jesus so I must start into number 20 and work my way to 0 when I get to 0 anyone standing right here you have sin in your life are you ready to get right with Jesus then I'm gonna pray for you then I have another altar call but let's take care of sin and salvation first all right so everybody who needs salvation you got 20 seconds to get from your seat to right here 19 18 17 16 15 yes baby 14 13 12 [Applause] eleven [Applause] can come to Jesus come on come to Jesus come on 9 Hey seven six [Music] [Applause] five [Music] [Applause] [Music] for [Applause] come to Jesus come on ain't that good but Jesus is great we gotta say this Romans 10:9 we're gonna confess so I need you to repeat after me all right you ready everybody say Jesus I'm asking you to forgive me of my sin I know you paid the price for what I've done wrong and today with all my heart I believe in you I walked for you and today in Jesus name I'm saved thank you Jesus for saving me amen amen clap your hands all you people somebody shout in the car with a voice of triumph [Applause] I got it one more everyone back there sit down y'all stay right where you're at stay where you have everybody sit down here Hey look at me some of you love Jesus but I'm gonna tell you the way I said it in the first service I believe this is the summer of hell it started in May some of you something happened in May and you're carrying it today something went wrong something you're up against the fight of your life it could be your children it could be something in your family your relationship with your spouse it could be sickness you found something a doctor says something I'm not saying this just to say it cuz I'm in the middle of it too but at June 30th I'm declaring I ain't going this summer we're carrying this anymore I'm giving it to the Ragman I'm giving it to him I'm saved but I'm going through something I'm not taking it home today if that's you and you're going through something very hard just jump up on your feet you don't have to come forward just jump up on your feet you're going through something this summer of help but guess what it's supposed to be the best summer you ever had in your life cuz the Ragman is here this morning he's here to touch you he's here to answer to cry your heart somebody to me a favor jump up and touch somebody put your hand on their shoulder let's pray right now God in the name of Jesus we are not carrying this we're not going home with this our suppers gonna be beautiful starting right now no more no more no more no more now everyone stand raise both hands to heaven let's make this our declaration strong hallelujah hallelujah there's no one you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] hello [Music] [Applause] [Music] everybody's singing and play that same all right July ah [Music] [Applause] [Music] would you that is become a king praise God [Music] carried your C D Karen man up that hill gave me his righteousness praise [Music] great [Music] [Applause] and the prayer that you pray is so powerful with your faith and you have faith or you wouldn't walk down beyond you wouldn't have stepped out in front of all of these people you know you better than that you moved because God spoke to you if you never hear his voice again you heard God speak to you personally today because you know you would have gotten up you had no intention of coming to this church and being down front today that was the Holy Spirit the truth and now you're washed and now you're cleansed it was a divine exchange he took your filthy rags and he gave you a beautiful clean robe of righteousness and your past is over you don't have a past all you have is a future you are forgiven let's praise the Lord your name that's his promise
