real quick before the video i'm giving away a set of the champions amiibo links in the description if you're [Music] interested [Music] hyrule was a vast prosperous kingdom under the rule of the royal family the country was at peace for thousands of years the different races lived in harmony with one another each thriving in their own corners of the land until one day the calm shattered a prophecy was made a foretelling of a cataclysm like the great gears of a forgotten machine beginning to turn once more hyrule began to mobilize preparing itself for the return of an ancient threat relics were unearthed primarily the guardians mobile mini tanks and the divine beasts titanic engines as large as castles to pilot these mighty war machines four of the greatest warriors hyrule had to offer were appointed as champions a title which had not been used for thousands of years these champions representing hyrule's main races were led by zelda hyrule's princess and link the fifth champion and the princess's sworn sword the champions chosen were ravali the most skilled warrior of the rito tribe a race of anthropomorphic birds daruk the stalwart chief of the gorons a people made from rock who call the volcanic death mountain home mifa the caring princess of the zora tribe and amphibious people and urbosa the mighty leader of the gerudo a clan of desert dwelling warrior women these four champions were given blue sashes to mark their rank and each was chosen to pilot one of hyrule's divine beasts except link who remained by the princess's side and wielded the legendary sword which seals the darkness with this unit of the most powerful soldiers in hyrule the colossal divine beasts and the mighty guardians victory over the calamity seemed assured but it was far from it when the calamity inevitably returned the champions were ready each heading directly to their divine beasts while link and zelda moved towards hyrule castle to face ganon the plan was for the beasts and their champions to provide support for the two facing ganon but this did not work the calamity siphoned off small portions of its malice sending burning tendrils of its dark power hurtling towards each divine beast the blight gallons despite the incredible strength and skill of each champion the blights the extensions of the calamity itself were too powerful though they fought bravely the warriors began to falter and one by one they fell to the creatures and the divine beasts were corrupted with malice the souls of their pilots still trapped within age of calamity offers us another telling of this struggle however in an alternate timeline thanks to the presence of tereko a diminutive guardian with the ability to warp time the champions didn't perish in their battles against the blights instead their successors from the future were brought back through time to aid in the fight this bought the warriors enough time to be rescued and the divine beasts remained under their control instead of falling to ganon each champion is an incredibly powerful warrior in their own right it's this strength that led to them being chosen as the representative of their race they're four of my favorite characters in the zelda series their personalities complement one another and together they're a brilliant group but i know i'm not the first to wonder which of these mighty warriors is the strongest if somehow the four champions were to pit bow against blade spear against club who would win previously i've covered who i think is the strongest out of all incarnations of link and all appearances of ganon check those videos out if you haven't already and like those examples this video will be purely speculation and any conclusions made will of course just be my own opinion we don't know who the strongest champion is we've never seen them fight one another but we can break it down let's look at each warrior in no particular order and highlight their strengths and weaknesses leading up to a round robin melee without further ado let's look at which champion is the [Music] strongest one note i feel i should make is that i'm not going to take into account how good each champion is gameplay-wise in age of calamity of course the characters in the game aren't all exactly as good as one another some characters are better for specific tasks and some are just better overall but this is more a balancing side of things i'll be looking instead at the law in canon which of these four warriors is the most powerful this does include moves that characters are only able to perform in age of calamity such as mifa's water bending attacks which we've never seen before but i'll be focusing more heavily on the game's cut cutscenes and content which is more solidly canon i'll also be admitting each champion's various sheikah slate abilities in that game as they're all extensions of the slate's power itself rather than innate powers of the champions to do this let's begin by ranking the champions in a few different categories first physical attributes the champion's raw strength and endurance simply how physically powerful they are and how tough next the champion's weapon skill how powerful each warrior's chosen weapon is and how adept they are at wielding it following this we'll rank each champion on their agility and speed how fast they're able to move and how well they can outmaneuver opponents next intellect and personality often just as important in combat as sheer strength the intelligence and personality of each champion should be taken into account when deciding who's the most powerful warrior overall and finally magical abilities not only how powerful each champion's signature ability is in combat but how adept they are at magic overall so with our categories decided let's in no particular order run through the four champions on the scorching slopes of death mountain live the gorons a sturdy people who survive by eating and mining rocks their chief daruk embodies everything it means to be a goron he's easy going enthusiastic and of course absolutely gigantic in terms of physical attributes this is where daruk truly shines above all other champions simply by virtue of being a goron his physical strength and physical endurance are second to none gorons are incredibly strong in fact the houses in tarrytown are built in such a strange style because each cube can be built separately and then assembled into the final position by a single goron it's clear just from how daruk pats link on the back that he's often unaware of his own massive strength it causes link an incredibly powerful individual to stumble forwards yet when he pats yonobo the goron barely moves when daruk hits a group of bokoblins they don't just fly back they're absolutely launched into the distance daruk's strength is exceptional even by goron standards the large canyon at gortram cliff where a stash of rock roasts can be found was carved out of death mountain by daruk in a single night so that the gorons could get to their food more easily that's an entire canyon smashed into the rock in one night being a goron also grants resistance to multiple elements the obvious one being fire in the oracle games have been shown to drink lava and in breath of the wild they eat rock roasts said to be dripping with incandescent lava and are said to relax in pools of the molten rock they're of course able to withstand the burning heat of death mountain an area so hot that it causes link to burn alive if not wearing protective armor it would make sense for water to be the natural weakness of a goron and this is half true they can't swim and will instead sink to the bottom of bodies of water however they're able to breathe underwater shown in twilight princess like hylians gorons are quite resistant to electricity too rhaegar was recruited by sidon as a potential wielder of the shock arrows to combat varuta but decided against the plan because gorons are pretty heavy they're not shown to be particularly frost resistant though as multiple gorons in majora's mask are frozen solid overall daruk absolutely earns a full 10 in the physical stat the goron chief is a tank even with his massive size daruk isn't clumsy he's able to wield the great boulder breaker a colossal greatsword in a single hand and is able to swing it with surprising speed for its weight this is a weapon that even link requires two hands to swing and even then the hero swings are relatively slow however while he's not inept with his weapon by any means he's not as skilled as the others his attacks consist of very simple swings which again are monstrously powerful but would be relatively easy to dodge for a skilled opponent but by far the category in which daruk struggles the most is agility and speed owing to his size the goron chief is very slow at his fastest when he's rolling he's still incredibly cumbersome though daruk is strong he has to move a monumental amount of mass meaning that he's by far the least agile of the champions and could easily be outmaneuvered by any of them in terms of intellect daruc doesn't shine he's not unintelligent but is by no means a master tactician or strategist gorons as a whole are more focused on the simpler parts of life for them that's eating and mining this is clear from deruk's journal unlike the other champions diaries he's unaware of what the divine beasts really are at first reminiscing about the good old days when if a goron couldn't eat a relic they didn't bother with it both deruk's journal and zelda's research notes mentioned that daruk was the only champion to struggle at first with controlling his divine beast though whether this is to do with intelligence or a deeper spiritual connection is debatable his personality means that he's prone to getting wildly excited in the middle of battle lunging with powerful swings of his boulder breaker but this rash nature would again lead to the other champions exploiting his weaknesses however daruk is honest and loyal during age of calamity he accepts zelda's request for him to pilot varudania without a second thought putting hyrule and its needs before his own he won't back down from a challenge unless that challenge involves dogs and finally magic daruk's signature ability is daruk's protection a powerful shield which he can project around himself when used by link this shield can block almost any attack but only has three uses before it needs to recharge however when used by daruk and his grandson yanobo there doesn't appear to be this restriction allowing the gorons to defend themselves as many times as they like with this impenetrable shield except it's not impenetrable it does have a limit after taking considerable damage daruk's protection will shatter as we see with the fight against fire blight ganon in age of calamity this is likely how daruk died to the blight and breath of the wild too if he was able to permanently protect himself he wouldn't have died it's likely that projecting the shield requires an amount of effort relative to the strength of the attack being blocked which is why daruk is able to block boulders with ease but struggles to defend himself against the dark might of fire blight ganon after two powerful strikes from the blight a third blow shatters the shield sending daruk flying backwards regardless daruk's protection is incredibly powerful and bolsters his already massive endurance with the ability to block most of the attacks the other champions could throw at him it can also be used offensively in some situations similarly to how it acts as a parry in breath of the wild age of calamity allows daruk to incorporate his signature ability into some attacks like his special attack and during his battle against an enhanced blight he's actually able to throw back the beast with this technique which is the only time we get to see one of the champions deal a significant blow to a blight during these fights this game also grants him a new magical attack the ability to lift chunks of rock from the ground superheating them into lava of course being a goron daruk is incredibly resistant to heat and so can use these pillars of molten rock to his advantage even turning them into ramps in some situations at any point two he's able to detonate them destroying the pillars in explosions of extreme heat and splintered stone overall daruk is a solid champion only really lacking in speed and intellect to compensate however daruk boasts unmatched strength and durability which is made even more effective by his ability of protection [Music] the burning sands of the desert are the realm of the gerudo a tribe of powerful warrior women to whom a male is born only once every century a man destined to become their king for whatever reason this hasn't happened in living memory so they're led instead by a woman or vi obosa the fierce chief of the gerudo ibosa being a gerudo is incredibly tall and muscular except for the hulking daruk she's the largest physically strongest champion she's incredibly protective harboring a particular affection for princess zelda as she was close friends with her late mother in terms of physical strength and endurance again urbosa is second only to daruk though is still significantly weaker and less durable than the goron champion as well she's made of flesh not living rock with a single hand she's able to parry the entire force of a diving strike by suga who leaps from a rock at the garudo though suga's entire weight is behind his two swords urbosa meets them with her scimitar and throws him off without any considerable effort later tsuga is able to do the same back to her but in the same swing he's able to knock back link who's incredibly physically powerful showing that to overpower herbosa you need some unbelievable strength irbosa carries with her her trademark weapons the scimitar of the seven a powerful curved sword and the daybreaker shield made from lightweight durable gold in breath of the wild the scimitar is a brilliant blade like all champion weapons it's among the most durable in the game and for a one-handed sword it's moderately powerful though less so than comparable higher tier equipment like a royal broadsword daybreaker on the other hand is unbelievable it's the most durable non-amiibo shield in the game except of course for the hylian shield and has more stopping power than a mighty lionel shield losing out only to a few better shields urbosa doesn't waste these powerful tools either she's incredibly skilled with them it's said that when she swung her scimitar in battle her movements resembled a beautiful dance and it's clear from how effortlessly she dispatches a pair of yiga foot soldiers that this wasn't exaggeration she's able to pull off a parry a technique requiring impeccable timing and incredible strength and blocks the quick strikes of the assailant with perfect responses for a time she's able to keep up with the inhuman speed and strength of age of calamity's thunder blight ganon going blow for blow with a shard of the calamity itself however as the battle goes on her strength begins to fail her and without the intervention of riju she would have fallen despite her size urbosa is incredibly agile she's able to avoid incoming attacks with ease such as this precise dodge of an attack from a yiga clansman she's clearly far quicker than the lumbering daruk but is outshined here by ravali who is able to fly and mifa who can manipulate water even on land to allow her to move quickly in terms of intellect and personality urbosa is level-headed rational and sharp she's often the one to challenge rivali's cockiness and often appears to act as leader of the champions in absence of link or zelda irbosa is perceptive too she's able to identify two travellers as yiga spies from a distance urbosa has many strengths she's fast strong and intelligent but where she truly shines is her magical abilities her signature technique is urbosa's fury which allows her to harness the power of lightning this is without a doubt the single most powerful champion ability when it comes to combat with a snap of her fingers urbosa can call down bolts of lightning with absolute precision an arcane thunderstorm which evaporates almost anything in her path a bose's fury can be unleashed as a single massive attack such as in breath of the wild where it electrocutes all enemies in link's immediate vicinity dealing 150 damage and stuns those it doesn't kill this single ability makes almost all of the game's bosses an absolute joke as with the three uses available before it needs recharging link can stun the boss three times allowing for huge follow-ups in addition to the base 450 damage dealt but as we see in age of calamity this ability isn't limited to one massive storm a bosa is able to incorporate its lightning into her regular attacks by fighting enemies the gerudo chief builds up her electricity meter allowing her to unleash torrents of lightning additionally her special moves all involve this technique such as repeatedly striking a foe with a lightning infused attacks before finishing of course with a snap of her fingers and a final almighty surge of electricity aside from the three-use cap seen in breath of the wild for our bosu's fury we don't really see a limit to how much the gerudo champion is able to use her signature ability when used by herbosa itself the move requires no start up time she's able to simply snap her fingers and lightning is instantly summoned to strike her foe with her fury urbosa has an incredibly effective ranged attack option able to reach opponents wherever they are which coupled with her impressive skills with a scimitar of the seven and daybreaker makes her a terrifyingly powerful all-round fighter overall urbosa is a powerhouse she's fast strong and skilled making her an absolute killing machine in close combat but as she can cool down lightning instantly she might be even more dangerous at a distance [Music] in the cold shadow of the icy mount hebra a nest clings to a high pillar of rock wooden homes hang like bird cages connected by a network of stairways this is the home of the rito a race of anthropomorphic birds who excel in aerial combat using light weapons and shields alongside quick draw bows to strike at their foes from the skies their champion was ravali ace marksman among their tribe who piloted varmado a cocky yet unarguably talented warrior who wielded the great eagle's bow rivali isn't seen performing any particular feats of strength or endurance but owing to the facts that rito are large birds we can assume at least that he's considerably stronger than an average hylium rivali is around as tall as herbosa who being a garudo is significantly taller than a hylian in our world large birds are ridiculously strong a kick from an ostrich is able to kill a human or even a lion admittedly ostriches are larger than ravali and we don't know if the rito are as strong as comparable real world birds but we can assume a considerable amount of strength just because they're large creatures strong enough to fly often a bird's muscles make up more than a third of its total body weight to achieve flight they need massive strength relative to their size however they also need to be light as he's able to fly rivali has to be the lightest champion a lot of his bones will be hollow filled with air rather than marrow surprisingly though this doesn't mean that he's more fragile bird bones are actually just as sturdy as comparable mammalian bones thanks to a supporting lattice structure within them so while rivali's physical attributes aren't shown in action except for his flight it's likely that he's incredibly strong and not as fragile as you'd expect for his weight ravali's signature weapon is his great eagle's bow a powerful weapon which fires a volley of three arrows in breath of the wild is one of the most durable bows in the game and with the exception of the savage lionel it's the most powerful multi-shot bow with a combined base damage of 84. it also has the second fastest fire rate following the royal guards bow making it overall one of the best weapons in the entire game and of all arches in hyrule none are more fit to wield such a powerful bow as ravali the rito champion was renowned amongst his people for his skills which among a people who are all extremely skilled archers is no small achievement the accuracy with which he's able to fire is obscene in an age of calamity cutscene three guardian sky watchers stalk tabor through the air from far back on varmedo rivali lets lose three bomb arrows which all hit their individual targets taking down three guardians in one volley just like he'd practiced on the targets at the flight range age of calamity's move set for ravali further emphasizes his skill with his bow he's able to pull off moves such as firing bomb arrows high in the sky so that they rain down on his opponent in a barrage of explosive shells it's safe to say that ravali is the most skilled marksman in hyrule save of course for link among the champions he's by far the most adept with his chosen weapon relying not on raw strength but pure skill wherevali truly shines however is his speed owing to him being a rito and therefore having the ability to fly rivali is by far the fastest and most agile champion he can move on an axis almost completely inaccessible to the others while obosa is quick and agile enough to dodge sword strikes and mifa can fly through water rivali can actually fly this gives him a massive advantage by diving he's able to move faster than any other champion and when combined with his signature ability his flight allows him to reach anywhere on the battlefield quickly it's notable that while he can change direction incredibly quickly in the air it's not quite light speed as some people are keen to point out breath of the wild's lasers don't move at the speed of light you're able to react to them meaning rivali doesn't have light speed reaction while perhaps his close combat speed wouldn't match that of mifa or urbosa rivali fights on his own terms he doesn't need to close the distance with an opponent and can instead outmaneuver anyone from the skies rivali is shown to be incredibly intelligent when it comes to battle tactics using strategies like obscuring himself in the smoke created by an explosion to surprise an opponent however his personality is a detriment to himself he's cocky arrogant and completely sure of his own abilities which is why the rito champion is so confrontational towards link he doesn't accept that there's a greater warrior than himself he's so confident in his fighting prowess that he won't believe that anyone could be superior this could negatively affect rivali's chances against another champion if forced to retreat or slow down the rito champion would most likely double down instead too stubborn to admit that he didn't have the upper hand it's possible that by taunting and challenging rivali an opponent could manipulate him into fighting on their terms he'd never decline a contest believing himself to be supreme at first glance as opposed to the other champion's mastery of powerful abilities rivali's magic is perhaps slightly less impressive while daruk has the ability to protect himself with a mighty shield urbosa has the furious power of lightning at her fingertips and mifa is able to heal fatal wounds rivali instead has the ability to create a powerful updraft beneath him allowing him to saw quickly into the air on paper this is a significantly less impressive ability but coupled with his mastery of airborne archery this gives rivali a near instant way to position himself where he's most comfortable high above his opponent not only does rivale's gail offer a quick escape option from dangerous close combat it allows him to put space between himself and an assailant this means that for any grounded opponent rivali is almost impossible to fight he'll always be out of reach hailing down volley after volley of precisely aimed arrows for this reason rivali's gale is one of the most powerful magical abilities when it comes to effectiveness in single combat second only to her bosu's fury as it augments his fighting style perfectly and means that he's nearly always at his most dangerous overall ravali's abilities come together to create one of the most formidable warriors hyrule has ever seen when challenged by link in age of calamity after being thrown back into a wooden gate he immediately takes to the skies using ravali's gale then backflips into a dive he drops his bow from his talons and catches it in his wings knocks a bomb arrow and looses it high into the air while link is watching the bomb arrow rivali slips into the fog vanishing for a short moment before soaring into the hero with a powerful kick by the time link recovers the bomb arrow has nearly fallen to the ground it explodes stunning him once more and blasting away his shield another volley of bomb arrows pepper the ground surrounding him before the rito soars in a great loop around the hero using the smoke from the bomb arrow as a screen rivali appears behind link once again flipping upside down in the air as he knocks an arrow to his great eagle bow aimed at the hero's head the battle is cut short by zelda who pleads for the two to stop fighting but it's clear from this sequence just how powerful rivali was in his prime [Music] the long-lived zora tribe reside in their domain a valley of steep cliffs and waterfalls at the heart of which lies their shining city the zora are ruled by king darifun a towering protective but fair ruler the king had two children prince sidon who by the time of breath of the wild is a tall muscular warrior in his own right and princess mifa gentle caring but quietly powerful mifa was of course chosen to pilot far rooter becoming the zora champion a role which ultimately claimed her life as the poison of water blight ganon seized control of her divine beast physically mifa is by far the smallest champion while zora males appear to be able to grow to gigantic sizes like the towering prince saidon or the truly massive king darifan the females are significantly smaller and mifa is dwarfed by her fellow champions while we don't see any particular feats of strength from her meaning it's hard to judge her physical attributes it's safe to assume that she's less strong than daruk a hulking goron arbosa a tall muscular gerudo and even ravali a great bird additionally one significant shortcoming of methas is one shared by allzora a crippling weakness to electricity the presence of water increases the potency of electrical attacks such as the massive effect a shock arrow has when loosing into a body of water or when it's raining for the zora a race who thrive in the water this is one of their greatest weaknesses even one of the most feared warriors the demon sergeant segen who was renowned for his resistance to electricity was unable to stand the strain of firing multiple shock arrows in a row segin along with prince saidon attempted to stop divine beast varuta's flow of water and the demon sergeant was even able to land a hit with a shock arrow on the sheikah engine however even with his resistance to electricity segen's strength failed leading sidon to begin the search for an individual of a different race to aid in the fight against the divine beast one who can wield shock arrows without damaging themselves this wounded segen's pride and the demon sergeant began to relentlessly train to increase his resistance by prodding himself with shock arrows crying out in pain as he did so it's safe to assume that due to her being azora mifa of course shares this aversion to electricity meaning that she's the only champion with this extreme weakness to an element giving her a significant disadvantage mifa's weapon of choice is the light scale trident a masterfully crafted spear forged specifically for the zora champion in terms of durability this trident is the absolute best weapon in the entire game save of course for the master sword which can't break and for whatever reason kilton's spring-loaded hammer while it outshines the other champion weapons in durability its damage leaves a little to be desired it's weaker even than a flame spear however mifa was known to wield this trident with incredible skill her spearman ship was known to be in a class of its own putting her among the very best in hyrule what she lacks in strength and raw power she makes up for in finesse and skill the range of me for spear gives her some advantages over all champions in close combat save for daruk who likely still has the longest reach urbosa in particular should she choose to engage mifa in close combat may struggle to get around the fast long strikes of the light scale trident wielded by one of the most skilled spearmasters in hyrule being a female zora mifa is light and quick able to flip and spin around opponents with ease outside of ravali mifa's speed and agility is unrivalled not only is she seen to scale waterfalls swimming with such speed and skill that she's able to swim upward through falling water a feat which should be near enough physically impossible she leaps out of this water into a great flip landing lightly on her feet it's not just during cut scenes that mifa's agility is highlighted either in age of calamity she's incredibly quick able to manipulate water even when on land so that she can take advantage of her swimming ability even when out of water this allows her to skim the ground to move quickly or even to summon mini fountains with which to launch into the air again mifa's speed and agility still aren't as impressive as those of rivali but she clearly outshines every other champion in this category even without including her moveset in age of calamity mifa is reserved humble and bright it's clear from her diary that she's intelligent and zelda's research notes mentioned that of all the champions mifa was the fastest to learn how to control her divine beast like with daruk though it's unclear whether this reflects intelligence or an undefined strength of spirit in terms of personality mifa is passionate but shy though she can be stubborn at one point a young link travelled to ploymus mountain to slay the lionel along with mifa link told the princess to turn back but mifa stayed by his side risking her life to stand by the hero this stubbornness here stems of course from her affection towards link and would likely knock him into play against the other champions though it's notable that while she appears timid she has a strong personality mifa's signature ability is mipha's grace the power to heal wounds this power can be used in small ways such as healing minor cuts and bruises but can also be used to bring someone back from the brink of death like in breath of the wild where mifa's grace will revive link if he falls filling his heart containers fully and adding 5 extra for good measure the ability to heal is obviously an exceptionally powerful magical ability for a while it was unclear if this ability extended to herself however or if it was only usable on others but in age of calamity her special attack is her healing herself she brings her palm to her chest and we see the blue glow of mifa's grace before she recovers lost hearts this ability surely renders mifa invincible right if she can simply heal any and all damage thrown her way by another champion she could win a war of attrition wearing her opponents down as she continues to heal herself however this ability can't be used forever it must have a limit mifa died in the battle against water blight ganon in breath of the wild and would have died in age of calamity 2 were it not for sidon's intervention clearly she's unable to heal against substantial amounts of damage perhaps like with daruk's protection healing takes a considerable effort relative to the amount of damage suffered against a powerful foe like a blight or even another champion mifa isn't able to heal indefinitely though the ability to mitigate some damage taken helps bolster her low physical endurance but mifa's grace isn't her only powerful magical ability in age of calamity like with daruk and his molten rock mifa has been given the power to control water in a vast number of her attacks her spear strikes are augmented by waves with her more powerful moves being huge surges of water one of her most impressive examples is one of her weak point smashes where she traps her opponent in a great ball of water dives in and attacks them at great speed mifa's water geezers are central to her moveset she can swim up through them to get into the air or can even teleport to her fountains she's able to summon a veritable tsunami very quickly and can overwhelm unprepared opponents with her speed and magical prowess overall mifa is a surprisingly strong champion while appearing frail and weak she's intelligent and strong of spirit and one of the greatest spearmasters in hyrule to boot coupled with her ability to heal herself and the ability to manipulate water into torrential attacks this makes mifa a force to be reckoned with so finally we have the stats of our champions ranked again these are only my opinions a lot of this is based on small snippets from cutscenes or ambiguously canon age of calamity abilities we have the sturdy monstrously strong daruk the powerful fierce erbosa the elegant quick mitha and the agile deadly rivali in terms of the stats i've given to them rivali is currently on top boasting massive weapon skill and agility ratings with decent physical strength and magical abilities to round it off but the battle's not over let's find out how they fare against each other to pit these four legendary warriors against one another we can put them in a round robin six individual battles every champion against every champion let's get into it in this match up for the sake of fairness will deny rivali the use of shock arrows he's not seen using them in any cutscene nor are they part of his moveset and age of calamity if however rivali was able to use shocks it wouldn't be close whatsoever mifa as azora is incredibly weak to electricity and rivali letting loose volley after volley of electric arrows means certain death for the zora even without shock arrows however ravali is clearly the superior warrior mifa is quick and exceptionally skilled with her spear but she has no way to counter ravali's flight the rito can simply circle her thundering down arrows from above mifa is able to get into the air very quickly using her fountains but she's still relatively close to the ground far below rivali mifa's only real chance here would be a one in a million spear throw to take rivali out of the air but overall this is an easy win for the rito champion once he lands a hit with an arrow even if mifa is able to heal herself it won't be long before he deals another fatal blow it doesn't matter what mifa does she lacks a way to defend herself against the threat from above a clash of the titans daruk vs irbosa is a collision of perhaps the two physically strongest champions however a bosa can't overpower daruk she must instead outmaneuver him and avoid the swings of his mighty boulder breaker a single hit from the massive stone club threatens to shatter daybreaker and possibly kill irbosa outright even though she has the best chance of anyone at surviving a hit from daruk when abosa strikes back daruk is able to protect himself with daruk's protection rendering him completely invincible against the swings of verbose's scimitar even if a bose was able to get through darut's protection and land a blow on the goron it likely wouldn't affect the colossal warrior much at all the scimitar is too small to deal significant damage to daruk's tough rocky skin but one thing even daruk's protection doesn't defend against is lightning powerful bolts of electricity strike straight through the shield so though daruk can likely shrug off most of verbose's sword attacks her signature technique would get through crackles and fizzes of electricity slowly wearing down the goron's immense endurance of course electricity is likely largely ineffective against a goron they're made of rock a material terrible at conducting electricity and so daruk would likely feel the wrath of verbose's fury significantly less than the other champions whether this is enough to give him the edge over arbosa is unclear he's still likely too slow and too cumbersome to land a fatal blow on the garudo who can dance around the goron's slow telegraphed attacks overall i'd give this duel to urbosa but only slightly daruk puts up a fight his legendary toughness coupled with a natural resistance to lightning means that arbosa struggles to damage the goron champion however with daruk's excitable nature he's likely to leave himself open to counter attacks and although the gerudo's lightning charged sword swings won't deal catastrophic damage to the goron they're enough to slowly but surely wear the mighty daruk down here deruk's monstrous strength is highlighted even further contrasted with a significantly weaker zora princess although mifa is extremely fast she doesn't really have a way of damaging daruk even using powerful water spells would likely be ineffective as while gorons can't swim they can breathe underwater indefinitely as seen in twilight princess mifa's water would extinguish any lava pillars summoned by daruk but the goron doesn't need to use them he'd be able to shield himself from anything thrown at him by the zora and swing back with his massive boulder breaker the range of the light scale trident is its greatest asset but this is less apparent against daru who has a huge reach with his long arms and huge weapon as the weakest of the champions physically mifa struggles to damage daruk at all while he constantly threatens to blend the princess into a paste with any hit he lands like with other matchups mifa has the option to heal but it doesn't help her fundamental weaknesses she can't heal indefinitely and can't keep taking fatal wounds forever eventually the rook comes out on top the difference in strength is just too extreme [Music] just like with daruk against urbosa mifa must avoid her more powerful opponents keeping distance with her superior speed and the reach offered by her light scale trident except this matchup isn't even a real fight regardless of any of mifa's attributes her weakness to lightning means that urbosa is completely untouchable simple electrically charged sword swings would deal massive damage to the zora and larger bolts of lightning summoned by a snap of the gerudo's fingers would likely kill mifa outright if the princess opted to use any of her water-based attacks obose's fury would only become more effective the potency of the electric attacks enhanced by the water even with mifa's ability to heal urbose's offense is just too strong here i can't see any way mifa could win against the onslaught of magical thunder daruk and rivali are polar opposites daruk is friendly and loyal slow and powerful while rivali is arrogant and selfish fast and agile of course in close quarter combat daruk's massive boulder breaker would smash rivalli to pieces shattering any defense the rito could put up against it and mangling the bird into the dirt so instead rivali would keep his distance and attack daruk from the air with rivali high above daruk the goron champion is in trouble he has absolutely no way of reaching narito who can rain down both regular and bomb arrows on daruk the latter of which cause explosions especially damaging to a warrior made of living rock daruk's only option is to hide behind his protection but we know that this doesn't last forever an onslaught of bomb arrows is likely to eventually force daruk to drop his guard and with it lose the jewel the only way i can see rivali losing here is if his arrogance got the better of him if the rito decides that he's good enough to fight daruk in close combat rather than stay out of his range but if rivali fights properly this is an easy win with both urbosa and rivali boasting two wins both remaining undefeated against the other champions it's time for the two strongest of the four to pit blade against beau lightning against wind of course rivali would be no match for urbosa up close with her powerful quick strikes with a scimitar of the seven so as with the other battles rivali would choose to instead take to the skies using rivali's gale to put a large distance between himself and the sharp steel of her bose's blade from the air rivali is free to dart and glide with incredible speed while lining up shots at the gerudo champion with his bow urbosa has an advantage in this position that the other two champions lacked daybreaker by carrying a strong durable shield with which she's even able to perform parries urbosa is less vulnerable to ravali's arrows though perhaps still more vulnerable than daruk was behind his shield and with his thick rock skin still urbosa can't keep blocking arrows forever and with rivali's stash of bomb arrows daybreaker won't keep her safe for long but just like with the other battles herbosa's trump card comes into play her lightning against an airborne opponent a bose's fury is critical to her survival without it rivali would be able to stay out of reach forever in the clear skies but in the middle of urbosa's arcane thunderstorm it's a different story rivali is incredibly fast able to avoid beams from wind blight ganon but he's not perfect when he's forced to change direction quickly he struggles to knock arrows to his bow and if he's hit by a thunderbolt he'll likely fall from the sky allowing herbosa to move in for the kill the jewel is decided entirely by what happens next either rivali is able to successfully avoid arbosa's lightning and land a killing or crippling shot or he's forced to land and is inevitably slain by obose's swift skillful strikes with the scimitar overall i think urbosa would win more often than not here her lightning makes it incredibly difficult for rivali to maintain his attacks from the air and irbosa has a solid chance of defending against any arrows loosed in her direction with daybreaker if urbosa is able to close the distance and ground ravali the fight is over she's too strong and too quick for ravali who needs space to fight properly with his chosen weapon again it's a fight decided almost entirely by herbosa's lightning an ability which allows her to be a threat from any distance and force opponents to fight on her terms so in the round robin in last place we have mifa while she's exceptionally skilled with her spear and boasts a new set of magical water bending abilities thanks to her age of calamity moveset it still isn't enough to turn the tide no pun intended against her rival champions daruk is simply too sturdy for the zora she has no way of taking rivalli out of the sky and obose's fury deals crippling damage to the princess being weak to electricity in third place we have daruk while he's in an entirely separate league when it comes to physical attributes he lacks a way to bring down ravali and his slow speed lets irbosa wear him down in second place ravali while rivali had the highest overall stats and beats both mipha and daruk simply by flying above them and raining down arrows this doesn't work against derbosa who can fill the skies with lightning so in first place overall herbosa not only is she a powerful warrior in her own right and would likely be a contender for the strongest champion even without any magical abilities her fury quite simply is just ridiculously good it completely invalidates mifa it will eventually wear down daruk and it even hinders rivali in the sky something which no other champion is able to do overall my personal pick for the strongest champion has to be arbosa again i've given rivalli slightly better stats as i genuinely think when it comes down to it he's the best warrior out of the four on paper flight coupled with an incredible accuracy with a bow is such a powerful combination however urbosa isn't far behind she's a fantastically well-rounded traditional fighter who stands out even above the militant gerudo as a powerhouse but her signature ability a bosu's fury is what elevates her bowser to the top spot one of the most powerful magical abilities in the entire series in the end each champion is an unbelievably mighty warrior that's the point all four are legendary heroes fighters of unmatched prowess and skill their traits complement each other perfectly together as a unit this group would be unstoppable and could likely bring down any foe that doesn't require a special sword or a silver arrow so it's tragic that in hyrule's darkest hour the champions weren't together they died alone isolated and trapped in their divine beasts the great strength of daruk speed of ravali fury of urbosa and skill of mifa were ultimately useless against the terrifying might of the calamity age of calamity actually made me appreciate the champions a whole lot more this time they're not locked behind memories so that they seem distant from the game's story they're in the thick of it they're central to the events up until the end their personalities get a better chance to shine as to their combat abilities and whatever your opinion on age of calamity i think we can agree that it did the champions justice what do you guys think who would you pick as the strongest champion do you agree with my rankings or do you disagree let me
