What We Found While Trying Street Food in Thailand 🇹🇭(Chiang Mai Night Market)

hello guys and welcome to the tube of you if you have a look at us we have quite flat tummies today because we haven't eaten lunch yeah so we're gonna go just down the road towards a Sunday Street Market here in Chiang Mai because it's Sunday and that's what they call it a Sunday Street Market they apparently have some delicious food there so we're gonna go and try some of them out but first we actually need to get a taxi hi Sunday market how much 100 30. one person 30 bucks okay thank you well this is a taxi here in Chiang Mai it's like a little Bucky it's like a truck or what we would call a Bucky and then it's got like two seats so it's like a big tuk-tuk got a seat on this side I only got one person in 34 one person not bad at least we can see outside while traveling thank you how incredible is this like you actually have to enter the walls of the old city in order to get to the markets so this area is kind of located like in the middle of the city and you can see by those walls this place used to be like a fortified city which is crazy and now we are actually being able to walk through it including a Sunday walking Market so I think we've actually found the food side of it all I see the one size just souvenirs and then he has all the food it seems like it's all to the side of this market and look how small these chairs are it looks like they belong to like a doll house or for toddlers they have so many things you have to choose from everybody has their own little store they can see that and then just in the center yes these little dining room tables so I think there's just so much to choose from what are we gonna choose I have no idea but something small like a snack food so I've seen this and it actually has he has sorry what do you call this it's called hashimaki is a Japanese Fusion menu it's mixed between Japanese food and European food together oh okay it looks delicious I've never seen something like that thank you for sure of you sorry mushroom yes oh can I get a bacon one please and then there are two toppings egg or cheese egg or cheese there's so many options uh let's do cheese I don't know if I feel like an egg okay can I please get a bacon one with some cheese on top okay thank you you can see these ones have the egg on top so that's the one topping but we've opted for the cheese because I think bacon and cheese are gonna go perfectly together so this is dry fish meat that will go on top yeah okay yes please thank you so you're putting fish on ours yes why so bacon fish and cheese you have to make it just a little bit weird hey it's recommend it so that's what we're gonna go for one more spoon yes please yes please thank you so much I would like to tell you how to eat yes please do before you eat you pull the Chopstick out one by one you hold this on okay like this after you put more Chopsticks use the spoon cut and eat the spoon okay please don't buy like this we hope you'll fold out everything okay thank you so much thank you look at this this looks delicious are you gonna sit at one of these small tables okay I'll come sit this side with you get my small little chair and move it this way oh goodness so are you ready to try this I'm ready to try this yeah I actually wanted to try and capture him busy making it but he's basically just put like a pancake on the surface and then you put mushrooms on top and like other stuff inside and then you just rolled it and then put all the ingredients that we saw on top it's a little bit of fish well I guess the fish can come off if you don't like it but we'll give it a try one chopstick ass and then the other Chopstick ass and take the spoon and cut it just giving it a a little cut there to try and get all the flavors inside oh that's actually really yummy so I grab some fish it's kind of weird looking I think it's like fish shavings right so the fish shavings give it a lot more saltiness but it's basically just a Savory pancake with some bacon in the middle and some cheese and ketchup on the top and it's delicious it's really really good it smells salty look inside there looks really good we had the kidney stable yeah so do you expect to hear some kids hmm it's actually sweeter than I thought to be honest not as slavery I do think a little bit too much cheese but it's actually quite nice a good snack a massive snack so here we actually have a lychee soda a different flavors all just for 30 Baht I think that's kind of like the lychee juice is that lychee juice yeah lychee juice eh thank you cup of grab there's your lychee juice thank you thank you thank you cheers cheers after that meal we're pretty thirsty oh geez yes some yummy damn okay let's go find a proper manual we have found yet another Market here on the side of the road and what we're gonna go try is koi Sao apparently it's very popular here in Northern Thailand squid Hi how are you good or garlic I don't know where we're gonna find this yeah Oh sushi I'm sure they have loads of sushi yo there's a lot okay but I can have sushi anywhere else so we're not hey there's koiselle oh that was an easy find here's the dish Au I think that's how you say it 65 Baht I think this is probably all the ingredients check they have like three different soups can I get one koi Sao yeah I think I said that wrong Council it's okay I think she knew what you meant so I think that she's making a tea in a bowl it's got some noodles and then this is chicken it's adding some more soup inside so I think these are all three different dishes that they have and then this is like a chip is this a chip is it a chip eh okay thank you a chip noodle soy okay wow now we gotta find a place to sit look how busy it is here I mean I don't have little tables like the other side have everyone's just got a massively long table let's go see there's a spot there yeah yeah it's out around [Music] see some cool symbols and taste some good food so I guess we're going to eat right up at the temple all the tables were taken and it's the only place you could find yeah we'll just sit here and it's also quiet and out the way there's quite a few new let me try it let me try it it's hot because wow this is very hot ah there's a chair that's opened up you want to move to a little yeah let's move to the little cheeks they remind me of ones I used to have in kindergarten okay this is great all right so let me taste my castle one of those words you saw how she put it all together just with the chicken the fried noodles which is apparently what this crispy stuff is and then it's just normal noodles at the bottom it looks really good to be honest so grab some chicken some noodles some crispy noodles all right let's crunchy and the spicy is it really really spicy it's really spicy my mouth is on fire it almost feels like a very stale chip the crunchy parts to be honest the noodles are delicious and so is the chicken loving the sauce because I'm a big person for spiciness but yeah pretty good how's that okay I'm not one for too much spice but I'm sure after all of the countries that we've been to like India and Pakistan where all the food was super spicy that my taste bud should handle this but Thailand's also got a spice on another level kind of want to break some chicken off of the bone here and wrap it up with some noodles that is super delicious it almost reminds me of like a Tsum yum spiciness and sauciness of it but really good how is it on your lips that's bad my lips are on fire maybe I didn't get too much sauce because I mainly got the noodles so let's taste some of the sauce with the crispy noodles wait till she doesn't and that sauce like Wax around all over your lips and then everything's burning like mine I don't spicy I can definitely feel this passes down your throat really good if you need to open up your sinuses but quite a good dish I actually really enjoy this and we definitely have it again do you mind me this is just water I swear I squeezed the bottle against my chest so now that we've had some starters and a main now it's time to find a dessert I actually saw mango sticky rice there oh we're gonna try that first yeah why not okay go try some mango sticky rice the last time we had mango sticky rice was on a very very first trip to Thailand and we haven't had it since so I definitely have to give that a taste again so here we have the famous mango sticky rice hello how are you can I please get one of these okay bye thank you uh no it's all right I'm gonna eat it already thank you can we get can I get a plastic bag do you want a plastic bag thank you thank you thank you I said I think we're gonna finish all of it so I need something to carry it in Danny's right it is pretty big there's loads of mango and rice in there oh there's so many people where are we gonna eat this I don't know you can just see that everyone's just taken up all of the tables here and there's just so many more people coming in I wanted to try an Oreo pandan okay let's get that and then find a seat yeah I agree I agree oh it's actually quite hard to move through these crowds but I found right over here in Oreo yeah Oreo chocolate is this an Oreo chocolate banana is this Oreo chocolate yeah yeah can I get one please how much is one 25 Baht okay look at it it's got a little bit of an Oreo right in the middle [Music] oh you found some cheese some lonely cheese yeah yeah we'll make our own corner right over here yep we'll make our own all the tables are full so this is what you have to do I definitely want to save this for last so first we're gonna give this a try yeah I thought it was amazing and Oreo pancake so I think they basically made like a pancakey crepe and they've put an Oreo smack ma'am in the middle do you want to taste it yeah definitely baked waffle you have a crowd watching you [Music] oh that is so good so there you can see it's got the Oreo inside with some chocolate oozing out and it's so good my favorite cookie is Oreo [Music] they've only put one Oreo in here I wish it was actually more [Music] still very very good sweet though that's right oh hot is it hot now do you want to kiss me did you get any chocolate yes I want a bath of the Oreo can I steal those Oreos other people are filming at school got a nice piece of Oreo there is even better because it's so warm okay the rest is for you this is way too sweet for me I will have it I'm stuck after this to be honest with you complete this dog and now for what we've been waiting for for the entire time we've been in Thailand is some mango and sticky rice I hope it's as good as what I remember it to be I never used to like mango before having a mango and sticky rice in Thailand when we came here the first time last year and that changed my mind called Beauty ever since then I've been dying for one of these for those of you who don't know what mango and stick your ass is it's basically what its name is it's got some sticky rice and some fresh mango there's some like crispy bits at the top there and then they give you some like coconut sauce that you've got to pour on top you wouldn't think that mango and rice would be a dessert but I promise you this does not disappoint is it as good as what you remember well even better give me a bite I don't know how we miss out on this so much when we're not in Thailand you can't have this and I've just missed it so much [Music] wow that coconut on top of the mango with the rice is just honestly one of the best things I've ever had okay well that's the only batch you're getting no no ways no ways oh man well you got a lot to eat and I doubt you're gonna eat all of it so I'll make space the guys that just turned the camera off quickly and look what the answer is doing she's already now it's back on she's taking it away but she was giving it to me when I turned the camera off busted I know if I let this out of my side Danny's going to Devour the whole thing it gave me nothing so I have to keep my guard on it I think I'm just gonna go get my own actually I thought that everyone was sitting there and if research yeah right next to the Dustbin in order to eat our mango and stick your eyes that nobody would actually come this way but everyone's just coming past and I'm wondering why until I saw this great this is where we're having our mango and sticky rice pudding we just found the nearest spot it's seriously getting busier now that is hardly even space to walk yeah it's crazy here cheers we found a cute little beer garden here and what a perfect
