What If EVERY Dream SMP member had an Origin?

alright so the dream smp has been going on for close to a year now despite going through two major updates of minecraft the server has always been as close to vanilla as possible the players on the server are limited by what is possible in vanilla minecraft for the most part but what if it wasn't like that what if it was like the origin smp with all the cool powers and [ __ ] well that's what i'm going to show you in this video i've written a customized origin for every member on the dream smp though a few things before we start i only wrote origins for the main members of the dream smp so guests like dream sister or corpse were not included this also means if a creator plays two characters in the s p i only created an origin for their main character also i'm not at all sure if any of these powers are actually able to be coded with data packs which is what the origin mod uses with that being said let's start with techno blade and quackity the two members invited to the origin s p who don't have a feminine origin yet so techno he was invited onto the origin smp and currently has the human origin which is essentially just regular minecraft though this will change in the future so to fit his character i came up with a pigment origin so the pigment origin has permanent strength one it will also make every zombie pigmen act like tamed wolves meaning that they will not harm the user and will attack mobs or players that the user attacks also piglets and piglet brutes will never aggro on the plate although you have to start the game in the nether also since you have pigmen you're gonna be affected by the smite enchantment and you're gonna have to have increased hunger because the blood god needs to consume this origin doesn't limit techno in terms of play style which is preferable for someone like him although he has to start in the nether this is literally a non-issue after maybe like 40 minutes of playing the game overall techno is a really good player so he could probably even stick with the human origin and still be opia's crap so the perks aren't that massive just like the cons next we have quackity now quackity has been whitelisted on the smp but he has yet to log in yet on the dream smp frequently change his skins to accompany changes in his character so i carried that trait over to his origin the shapeshifter origin this means that he can change his skin or his name tag to anything that he wants so this can be used to easily disguise as another player this also means that when he's transformed he can also imitate the powers of another player although weaker so for example let's say he transforms into techno for the time that he's in that transformation he would probably get like strength 0.5 though this sounds pretty op the transformation ability also has a cooldown he will also revert to his original form after a certain period of time in the transformation also he has two less hearts and when he's taken below half health the transformation will automatically revert so on to the rest of the dream smp let's start with the man who created the s p in the first place dream dream's origin is just going to be like his species on the smp the dream on the dream on origin has permanent speed 1 alluding 3 effect on any mobs that they kill and they can also choose trades from piglets and villagers although this is counter-acted by the fact that they have an immense weakness to iron they take double damage from iron weapons they cannot wear iron armor and they take damage while standing in iron blocks or oils similar to being on lava they also take double damage from anything blast related these powers are kind of self-explanatory he has speed because he's a speed runner he gets trades and more drops because he's lucky though the iron con mostly comes from his intense weakness to iron doors on mcc also the double damage is just for balancing since iron weakness isn't really that bad on to sapnap alright so sapnap's branding has always involved fire and that is actually very fitting for his origin the firecaster origin with this origin you can throw fire and all weapons that you use will have fire aspect though with this origin you're heavily debuffed in water giving you weakness slowness and blindness you also can't swim so back to 1.8 and lastly you drown twice as quickly so if you're playing this origin try to stay out of water next we have bad now apparently he's canonically a demon so that's my job done right away the demon origin he is heavily buffed at night giving him strength speed and regen he also has four more huds at night and lastly he is immune to withering though this is counteracted by the fact that he's heavily debuffed during the daytime giving him weakness and slowness he also has 4 less hearts during the day a perfect opposite to his boost at night though with this you can easily counter his powers by you know going to bed so i'm going to assume that the server you're playing on doesn't have the sleep plug-in installed alright awesome dude he's a creeper so that's an easy mob origin the creeper origin with this you can explode and other creepers will avoid you though cats will damage you and you are a vegetarian because you are green pretty simple but effective so uh skeppy's origin now skeppy's origin is actually one of my favorites that i wrote something that i might actually click on if i saw it pop up just like the subscribe button please subscribe i have no friends my retention is horrible my youtube channel is dying i have to sell my house i get bullied at school oh the skeppy origin his origin will be the golem origin he takes less knockback from attacks diamond armor acts like netherright he has a ground pound ability like the one on mineplex hunger games and when he's standing on diamond blocks he is buffed with strength speed and two extra absorption heights though he is affected by permanent slowness he takes double damage from pickaxes and he also has increased hunger i thought this one was actually pretty well thought out the permanent slowness is a really good balancer to all these insane abilities and it actually makes sense to his character he's a diamond and diamonds are pretty [ __ ] heavy you know for anfros i decided to go with one of the original origins in the mod the feline origin why because i was lazy and the feline origin already fits pretty well for him in terms of character and species these are just the perks he does not take any fall damage he can jump higher while sprinting has slight dark vision and can scare creepers away though he can only mine natural stone when there are at most two adjacent natural stones he also has one less heart of life alright purpled purple's character on the dream smp has always been one of neutrality a powerful character that watches in the shadows staying mostly neutral in every conflict this is a pretty good archetype for the rogue he deals double damage from behind he can toggle name tag visibility he can jump slightly higher and has a special ability that when activated gives strength and speed for a small amount of time sort of like a little boost of swords also when he takes steps no one can hear that [ __ ] alright so he's gonna sneak up behind you and just [ __ ] kill you like the spy from tf2 though he has two less hearts takes more knockback and cannot activate his ability while wearing heavy armor so forget putting on your nether right armor turning basically invisible and stabbing someone in the back also axes are pretty ineffective with its origin they deal the same amount of damage as this would even with the same attack speed but they can still disable shields so they're not completely useless a lot of the abilities of this origin is based on stealth which will work pretty well for a neutral character that likes to see on the sidelines like purple alright now puns punz's character is that of a mercenary one who puts money above all else we've seen puns frequently paid off by other characters in the s p an example would be the battle of the lake where dream was like uh i'm gonna give you money and he was like okay and then immediately betrayed the side he was on as a mercenary his overall build would be one that in my opinion would just be a superior human in a sense as such here it is puns is origin the post team all his stats are boosted by a small amount he's slightly faster slightly stronger can hold his breath for a lot longer is slightly more resistant and he is also slightly larger unfortunately with all these things he has increased hunger so this origin is essentially just a human but a little bit better in every way all right captain puffy she's canonically a sheep so this was a pretty easy decision the sheep origin she can focus a ram attack which is basically just a dash towards the target dealing a little bit of extra damage she also can shed roll blocks which basically means that she will generate willow blocks in the inventory until a stack is reached she can also eat grass in which grass blocks will act like cake when right clicked will fill up the hunger boy and turn the grass into dirt though she can't eat meat because sheeps are herbivores and she also has two hearts less of hp a punk punk's character is generally friendly and kind so i thought a support type origin would work well he is also canonically adopted which really furthered my idea over healer origin with the healer origin you have permanent regen you can also throw potions of healing every 20 seconds this can be used to heal yourself or other people unfortunately with this you deal less damage for example an iron sword that would normally deal six attack damage would only deal five in this case you also have two hearts less of hp this origin is one that will be mainly used for support but not one that can't fight its healing will allow it to hold up pretty well in battle so in the case of a betrayal you have a pretty good fighting chance speaking of betrayals aaron so my decision to give aaron this origin is purely based on the fact that if you use his skin you take off his sunglasses what the [ __ ] it's herobrine so this is the herobrine origin this origin will allow you to transform temporarily and massively enhance your stats that of herobrine with all the bells and whistles like resistance strength and speed though you can only transform for three minutes once per minecraft day also after the transformation you are left very vulnerable you have three less hearts you're frozen in place and you can't deal any damage now since i really couldn't give the herobrine origin all the abilities of herobrine like i mean these abilities are actually [ __ ] nuts like reality voiping huh so anyways i had to go for the transformation type origin instead when transformed the huge boost can pretty much turn the tides of any battle really but you're gonna be very vulnerable after three minutes for balancing reasons obviously next we have hannah so hannah's character is pretty new to the s p which i'm not really caught up on so uh she has rose in her name so uh this is the rose origin which is a terrible [ __ ] name by the way i actually couldn't find a mythological creature that was related to roses so uh bear with me anyways she is buffed near flowers giving her regen and strength also drinking water bottles will fill up the hunger bar she also has the sting ability just like the bee origin which means that all damaged dealt will give the target poison though the weathering debuff will kill you twice as fast because flowers wither and you take double damage and fire also you can't go long periods of time without being in body alright at this point i kind of got tired of you know thinking you know what [ __ ] it i am no longer gonna be held captive by the concepts of game theory alright so i said [ __ ] it balancing we don't do that [ __ ] here it's time to go off the deep end so next we have carl jacobs i was gonna write some deep character exposition about his character and end it off with a clever origin but i thought this would be a lot funnier he's a time traveler right um we saw him go back in time and talk to some racist ghost or something so his origin is going to be called time which allows him to stop time you might be thinking hey that is pretty overpowered and to that i would respond i don't care but he can only do it for seven second intervals which i'd say balances the whole thing out pretty well alright uh next we got my man vickstoy betty forgot about him huh i remember watching this guy in third grade wrecking havoc in minecraft hunger games so yeah that's gonna be his origin the veteran origin after the 1.9 combat update you'd have to wait through a cool down after every hit but with this origin we're going back in time and bringing back 1.8 pvp while everyone on the server is going to be waiting to attack again mr vickstar over here he's got his rod he's got his sword he's going to bring you back to 2013. back when your parents were still together as pecans he can only do minecraft hunger game let's plays from now on so uh you should say goodbye to his newer audience laser beam i bet you also forgot about him i used to watch his fortnite videos and they were pretty funny he's got laser in his name which kind of sounds like lasers so uh the laser origin he gets to use the mod that tommy used in his laser eye mod video making the dream smp absolutely hilarious the khan's um he can only connect to the civilian fortnite i guess i i don't know foolish he's been building stuff and creating all this cool [ __ ] on the server he's also a totem so uh the totem origin he can't die whenever he goes below half a heart a totem activates and he doesn't die it's kind of like in the status animation where technoblade reconstructs its head and it's like this really cool scene also he's 20 feet tall which is apparently canon on the dream smp callahan you see him around uh sometimes i think he was in like i think he was there in the war um uh his character is a reindeer so the reindeer origin it's like the sheep origin but he can fly uh alyssa she was in the survey for a bit at the start oh [ __ ] it she just gets creative mode why i don't know i just thought it would be funny no balancing whatsoever just pure creative mode uh and it's called the god origin george not found he also gets creative mode kana eats pants he's probably gonna farm a lot of subs in the city so we're gonna give him all the powers of sonic call it the sonic origin he can run super fast like at the speed of light or some crazy [ __ ] he has a transformation where he turns into a piss color and punches you harder than your bully at school i don't know what the [ __ ] sonic does and lastly h-bomb i don't [ __ ] know at this point he's got bomb in his name so the bomb origin he can freely explode at will unlike the creeper though it's more like a hydrogen bomb the problem is that you'll die permanently if you use the ability it's kinda like hardcore also the hotkey to activate it is the spacebar which can't be rebinded so forget jumping unless you want to blow up and that wraps it up pretty nicely overall a lot of these origins are actually pretty viable kind of fell apart at the end but i'd say my favorites are the techno origin and skeppy's origin both of which i spent the most time on anyways i hope you enjoyed it's a bit of a jump from my dream smp series but i hope you stick around i've
