today i want to speak to you on the subject of what will happen to children during the rapture in my almost 50 years of travels around the world this is a question that has been asked of me more than once as you may imagine and many times to my recollection through the years as the question has been presented to me what will happen to children often times it's placed within the context of what will happen to my children or what will happen to my grandchildren when the rapture takes place and it really is one of those heart-wrenching questions and especially to those who may not know the answer so let's go into the bible today and let's begin in first corinthians chapter 15 and let me read what i would refer to as one of the classic texts that refers to an event called the rapture of the church those of you that follow us and follow our teaching on bible prophecy and eschatology i always repeat because there are always new listeners and new believers that are hearing it for the first time but the rapture is the next major prophetic event that will take place in the near future the rapture as i often teach you is a signless event there are no particular specific signs in bible prophecy that talk to us about the timing or the arrival or the occurrence of the rapture we have things such as like a thief in the night or when least expected but it is the next major prophetic event in the bible now many new students of the bible struggle because they look in their bible trying to find the word rapture and can't find it the word rapture is not found in any of the english translations of the bible it is a theological term that refers to the great catching away that we find here in one of these classic passages first corinthians 15 and verse 50. the bible says what i am saying dear brothers and sisters is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the kingdom of god these dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever pause right there the apostle paul is the author of this letter to the church at corinth and he's explaining to them that we have eternal life in jesus christ but this physical body that we dwell in has not been created for an eternal life it has been created for our time here on earth psalm 90 tells us that our appointed time is between 70 and 80 years by reason of god's grace and some people exceed that some people fall short of that but nonetheless the most important thing in all of the world is living ready to meet the lord i heard someone say one time i thank god i'm a christian and i have eternal life well that's partially true because everybody has eternal life even unbelievers even those who have never received christ as lord and savior have eternal life once we are born we will live forever you will spend an eternity either in heaven or in hell so many times i hear people say i can't believe that a god of love would ever send anyone to hell and you're correct it is not god's will for any human being to go to hell jesus taught us in matthew's gospel that hell was prepared for the devil and the fallen angels it's your choice god has done everything in his power so that you can have the assurance and the hope of eternity in heaven with the lord and prayerfully with your loved ones if you've never repented of sin or if you've never made peace with god or if you're not sure as to what would happen to you when the rapture takes place i promise you that in every teaching and in every broadcast in every youtube video and every facebook teaching and all of our podcasts we always take time to pray with you and if you're not sure as to where you stand with god when i'm done today i'm going to invite you to turn from sin and turn to christ in childlike faith i want you to have that assurance that you'd be ready to meet the lord go to verse 51 but let me reveal to you a wonderful secret we will not all die but we will all be transformed it will happen in a moment in the blink of an eye when the last trumpet is blown for when the trumpet sounds those who have died will be raised to live forever and we who are living will also be transformed for our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die and our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies then when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die the scripture will be fulfilled death is swallowed up in victory o death where is your victory o death where is your sting notice that paul said that when the trumpet sounds those who have died will be raised to live forever and we who are living will be transformed this is one of the classic passages in the new testament that describes the event called the rapture of the church as we begin this study in the scriptures on the question of what will happen to children during the rapture let's take a moment to pray together father we humble our hearts once again in your holy presence we thank you for the integrity of the bible that never lies and endures through every test and through every criticism now by the holy spirit who is the great teacher of all truth lead us and guide us in our time together i pray father for the salvation of every single person who listens and i pray that if they've never made peace with god or if they're backslidden and away from god that today through the word of god and through the drawing of the holy spirit that you'll speak to them and call them and give them the courage when we pray at the end of this time to surrender in totality to christ today and i pray not only for their salvation but i pray that for the salvation of all their children all their grandchildren all their family may none who listen be left behind and we ask it all in the precious name of jesus wash us fresh today from every sin and stain may we be clothed in the righteousness of the lord jesus christ we thank you for your grace and your mercy that you've extended to us and we love you and praise you and we ask all in the name of jesus and all god's people said amen i remember through the years as people have approached me and asked this question or questions similar to this the thought i mean i'm sure it's the same for those that are listening and especially those that are parents especially those that have small children and small grandchildren the thought of young children and grandchildren being left behind and eternally lost is beyond horrifying but today i want to take you into the bible and during our time together i want to take a look and see what does the scripture reveal about this somber question now i must admit to you in the very infancy of our time in teaching today that the bible is relatively silent on this subject and relatively so there are things that can be gleaned from the scriptures but if you're looking for a passage of scripture that says exactly what will happen to children when the rapture takes place in that regard the bible is relatively silent and i believe that is why the casual christian or the new believer frequently has trouble in trying to decide and to settle in their heart when they begin to learn about certain aspects of bible prophecy and they think not only about what will happen to them but what's going to happen to my children or what's going to happen to my grandchildren so with the help of god as always i'm going to show you uh the three main views and there are more than three but only three that i feel i'd like to give attention to three main views that i have read and studied in my years of searching the bible and theology and in my library i basically have three views that i would give some sense of credibility to i'm going to take the time to explain all three of these positions to you and as i always do i'll show you which one that i believe the weight of scripture rests upon and so if you're taking notes view number one on what will happen to children after the rapture number one children will not be included in the rapture this is a view that is held and has been held by many throughout church history and there are various writings and various volumes that address the subject but there are those who believe this that children will not be included in the rapture now those who espouse this view point out the fact that the rapture will only include those who have deliberately and conscientiously repented of sin and received jesus christ as lord and savior and so if you want to know the essence as to why people would hold a view that no children will be included in the rapture in essence that's the main backbone of their argument they'll take you into the scriptures and they'll teach you that only those who have by knowledge and responsibility and conviction have recognized their sin repented of their sin and received jesus christ they and they only can be included in the rapture and they then make a case that children cannot do that because of age because of innocence because of limitations of understanding scripture and theology and various things along those matters they say children are not available to the rapture now i want to take time to show you in the scripture what they built this view upon they build their view upon several of the old testament accounts many times those who believe that children will not be included in the rapture go into exodus chapter 11. and in exodus chapter 11 we read about the 10th and the final plague that god in wrath and in judgment sent upon pharaoh and all of the people in the land of egypt during that plague the firstborn children if you've not read it and if you're taking notes and have not read these biblical accounts for sake of time i cannot read every single biblical account and explain to you why people derive their views but i would challenge you to go back and to read but i'll give you the high points of their views during the plague the firstborn children and even the firstborn of the livestock throughout the land of egypt died as a result of the death angel who passed through the land of egypt the children of the unrighteous were not spared the bible tells us that during that time of judgment that the death angel came and carried out his assignment from god and eliminated all of the firstborn of those who did not believe including even the firstborn of their livestock one can imagine if there were some type of video or recording of the volume of screams and the piercing cries of mothers and fathers to awaken in the morning and to see that their firstborn had been taken by that angel of death traumatic would be an understatement only those in that judgment in the ten plagues and this is the tenth plague where the angel is is sent by god to pour out that wrath because of pharaoh's hardness of heart and disobedience and godlessness but only those who obeyed the instructions of the lord and took the blood of an innocent lamb or goat and shed that blood and applied it to the sides and the tops of the door frames of their houses were spared this shedding of innocent blood and applying it to the door of their homes is a type of christ and christ being crucified the shedding of the blood of jesus is the only way by which a man or a woman or a boy or a girl can be saved that's why the scripture tells us in acts chapter 4 and verse 12 neither is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved they would also point out the story of noah and the ark in genesis chapter 6 as well as genesis chapter 7 and in the biblical account of noah and the ark only the righteous who entered the ark were saved from the flood and from the judgment of god even the babies and the children of all outside the ark and all of the unrighteous were judged in that flood all were eliminated they also referred to god's judgment of all of the canaanites and that would be found in the book of joshua and the 11th chapter and the 12th chapter and the bible tells us there as a matter of fact let me take time to read some of these passages joshua chapter 11 joshua chapter 11 verses 11 and 12 the bible says the israelites completely destroyed every living thing in the city leaving no survivors not a single person was spared and then joshua burned the city joshua slaughtered all the other kings and their people completely destroying them just as moses the servant of the lord had commanded and so i read that to you because i want you to see that there's no wiggle room here the bible clearly teaches that joshua completely and totally annihilated all of the canaanites as was charged by moses now i will pause long enough to say that these are undoubtedly very difficult passages in the old testament and there are many questions that arise out of it and there are many critics and many atheists that when they attack the bible they go to many of these old testament passages and they begin to talk about the cruelty of god and that god hated and that god eliminated and god judged and god shed innocent blood and if they don't understand the scriptures these are all perfectly normal questions for both believer and non-believer to exist and i promise one day that i will devote a bible study entirely on this subject concerning why or the reasons for the severity of god's wrath and god's judgment not only in old testament accounts but we think of the great tribulation that awaits us after the rapture when the saints of god are taken the seven worst years of wrath and judgment that have ever been poured out by god will be poured out upon this earth and by current numbers in excess of four billion people are going to be eradicated in that great outpouring of god's wrath those who hold the view that children will be left behind to face the wrath and the judgment of god approach these old testament biblical accounts with what i would call dogmatic rigidity they're unbending there's no room for any other interpretation there's no room for what the rest of the passages throughout the entirety of the bible may say or bring to bear on the subject they have a dogmatic rigid attitude that no children will be taken in the rapture now surprisingly i agree with their initial premise i strongly disagree with the entire premise i in no way shape or form put my blessing or my understanding upon this first view that no children are going to be included in the rapture as you're going to learn today as we go into the other views the bible has much to say upon a different view than that but it is a view that many people have and probably at some point or another many of you in my audience may run across somebody that has this rigid dogmatic view and they'll say no children will be included in the rapture i mentioned to you that i agree with their initial premise what is the initial premise the initial premise to their view is that only those who have received christ will be ready for and taken during the rapture of the church that is an absolute truth in the bible let's go to perhaps the most singular classic passage in the bible on the rapture that's found in first thessalonians and the fourth chapter first thessalonians chapter 4 go down to verses 15 through 18. first thessalonians chapter 4 verses 15 through 18 there the bible says we tell you this directly from the lord we who are still living when the lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died for the lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of god first the christians who have died will rise from their graves one translation reads those who have departed this life in christ verse 17 then together with them we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up now those of you who have followed me for any length of time i'm sure by now you have those two words caught up highlighted in your bible if you do not have them highlighted in your bible do so now because it's those two words where we get the word rapture the word caught up harpazio in the greek renders in the english language as caught up rapio in the latin and that's where we get the word rapture from and so again the word rapture is not in any of the english translations of the bible it is simply a theological term foreign event and this is the event of being caught up then together with them verse 17 we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the lord in the air then we will be with the lord forever so encourage each other with these words now let's go over into the book of colossians and the first chapter colossians and the first chapter verses 28 and 29 so we tell others about christ warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom god has given us we want to present them to god perfect in their relationship to christ or rendered in many other translations in christ verse 29 that's why i work and struggle so hard depending on christ's mighty power that works within me let's take another passage in second timothy second timothy chapter 1 and verse 9. there the bible said for god saved us and called us to live a holy life he did this not because we deserved it but because that was his plan from the beginning of time to show us his grace through christ jesus or translated in many bibles in christ jesus and as long as we're in second timothy just turn over to ii timothy chapter 2 and go down to verse 10 there the bible says so i am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in christ jesus to those god has chosen now you may wonder why i read those particular passages and emphasized in christ because the term in christ appears 75 times in the king james version of the bible now today i'm reading out of the new living translation but if you have a king james bible the phrase in christ appears 75 times it is found primarily in paul's epistles and also in first john similar expressions like in him with him by him are found over 130 times in the new testament now why am i taking time to point out this phrase in christ because that is the only biblical qualification for being ready for the rapture is being in christ being in christ refers to repenting of sin and receiving jesus christ as your personal lord and savior i remind you once again of what i often times call the law of proportion the law of proportion write that down what specifically is the law of proportion it teaches us that the more times we find something in the scripture the greater the significance of that truth that is the brief definition of the law of proportion in the world of theology when you open the bible or when you're studying a passage or when you're studying a topic or you're studying a particular book the more often you find something repeated and referred to god obviously is trying to put a spotlight of significance upon whatever that might be that is called the law of proportion and i want you as a student of the bible to know what that is in christ speaks of the whole of the christian life jesus christ his person his work and our personal relationship with him so though i agree with the initial premise of those who hold the view that no children will be included in the rapture i disagree with it as a whole and will continue number two the second popular view on what will happen to children in the rapture is that all children will be raptured before the tribulation all children and those who hold this view point out various scriptures that infer that when children die regardless they go to heaven but what does the bible say on that particular subject once again if you have your bible let's go into the old testament and go into ii samuel and the 12th chapter 2nd samuel chapter 12 and let's go down to verses 20 and right on down through verses 23. david has just lost his son and the bible says in verse 20 then david got up from the ground washed himself put on lotions and changed his clothes he went to the tabernacle and worshipped the lord after that he returned to the palace and was served food and ate his advisors were amazed we don't understand you they told him while the child was still living you wept and refused to eat but now that the child is dead you have stopped your mourning and are eating again david replied i fasted and wept while the child was alive for i said perhaps the lord will be gracious to me and let the child live but why should i fast when he is dead can i bring him back again i will go to him one day but he cannot return to me so when king david refers to the death of his son and why he is no longer in mourning and why he is no longer fasting he makes the statement that my child has gone on ahead and the child cannot return to me but david who was then called the man after god's own heart he wasn't perfect we know as we study the life of david and king david that david had very serious sins that he had dealt with in his life he murdered his best friend he committed adultery with his best friend's wife a child was born out of wedlock and there are things that david did that proved to us that he was not flawless but he was a man who feared god and he was a man that god selected whereby the lineage of the messiah jesus christ would come from the bloodline of david and david as an overall righteous old testament believer said my child can't come back to me but one day when i am ushered into the presence of god my father i will return to my child and by this strongly inferring in fact there really is no other way to interpret this that his dead innocent child had gone to heaven let's go into matthew's gospel i'm showing you passages of scripture that support the view that all children go to heaven these are the passages that they'll often times refer to matthew chapter 19 go down to verses 13-15 one day some parents brought their children to jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them but the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him but jesus said let the children come to me don't stop them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like these children and he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before they left and there are some who take this passage and from those words interpret that jesus was inferring that innocent children will be in the kingdom of god there's much more in that but that's not my course of action today let me take you to another passage and that would be in mark's gospel mark's gospel in the 10th chapter and verses 13 through 16. one day some parents brought their children to jesus so he could touch and bless them but the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him when jesus saw what was happening he was angry with his disciples and he said to them let the children come to me don't stop them for the kingdom of god belongs to those who are like these children i tell you the truth anyone who doesn't receive the kingdom of god like a child will never enter it then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them now this is obviously mark's account of no doubt the same incident that had occurred that matthew had recorded but again another passage of scripture that seems to infer the innocence of children and that all children prior to the age of innocence will be in heaven many times on the subject of abortion that is inferred and that is a position held that all aborted babies will be in heaven that's a question for another time as well as we stay focused today while i agree that infants and small children who die go to heaven to be with christ i do not believe perhaps i should phrase it this way i do not necessarily believe that that means that all children will participate in the rapture because as i'm going to show you in the bible these are two distinct subjects children being in heaven and children being taken in the rapture are two different subjects and there are various passages in the bible that apply to both and they are not all co-equal in meaning since all young children and infants have never put saving faith in christ to go to heaven when they die many would argue that they will also go to heaven in the rapture and be exempted from the horrors of the great tribulation and so the first view is that no children will be taken in the rapture the second view is that all children will be taken in the rapture and that brings me to the third view and i will state clearly up front this is the view that i believe most clearly answers to the totality of the bible and all of the bible passages and bible precedents that i see in the scripture and so i'll state that up front i've been fair in sharing with you three views in this teaching two of which i really cannot place my blessing upon as accurate and now i intend to take you into this third view and to tell you why i believe there is something that answers to the bible in a much more harmonious way and the third view if you're taking notes is only the children of believers will be taking during the rapture number three only the children of believers will be taken during the rapture and this is what i believe the weight of biblical scholarship rests upon and let me in closing prove to you why i believe the scripture teaches that as i have talked through my decades of ministry while the bible is not explicit about this particular subject we therefore and listen carefully to what i'm about to say please don't miss this if the bible is not explicit if the bible is not abundantly clear in what it says on a particular subject then those of us who preach it and those of us who teach it must never be dogmatic and rigid in our views because it seems to wreak of a little bit of theological arrogance to be unbending on a particular subject that the bible has not been abundantly clear on in the very beginning of this teaching as i'm answering the question what will happen to children during the rapture i mentioned to you right up front that the bible by and large is silent on this particular question but there are many passages and i'm taking the time to unpack them for you as to why we can take a particular view and so now i want to without being rigid without being arrogant without being unnecessarily dogmatic i want to present to you why i believe that only the children of believers will be taking taken during the rapture and as always let me take you into the bible let's go to first corinthians chapter 7. first corinthians chapter 7 verses 13 and 14. very unique passage of scripture when it comes to this particular question on what will happen to children during the rapture listen carefully first corinthians 7 verses 13 and 14 the bible says and if a christian woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to continue living with her she must not leave him verse 14 for the christian wife brings holiness to her marriage and the christian husband brings holiness to his marriage otherwise your children would not be holy but now they are holy very interesting passage of scripture in light of the question let me explain why now in 1st corinthians chapter 7 paul is doing some teaching to the church at corinth and these young believers he's teaching them about marriage he's teaching them about divorce he's teaching them about some of the problems that come up in marriages and he quite clearly said that if a christian woman if you're a christian woman and you're listening to me but your husband is not a christian paul said if your unbelieving husband wants to remain in his marriage with you that you must remain in your marriage covenant with him the fact that you get saved and your husband does not get saved does not give you a biblical uh liberty to divorce your husband provided he's willing to stay with you and then it goes on to say that if the husband is a christian but the wife is not a christian but the unsaved wife still wants to remain in her marriage covenant with her husband who is saved the saved husband must honor his marriage covenant even with his wife who is unsaved all prefaced by the other spouse the unbelieving spouse still wanting to remain in that marriage now i must tell you in my world travels i've met only god knows how many exact models of what paul is talking about and many times they're functional marriages i i think of marriages as i'm speaking of people that i know where the husband is unsaved but the wife is saved but they love one another and have been married for many many years or decades and the husband has not yet come to christ but the marriage is functional and there's love in the marriage that is a possibility now it's an uphill battle and many people do not succeed in those types of circumstances or vice versa where the husband is saved but the wife is unsaved but yet they love each other and are happily married now i could flip the coin and tell you as of as many circumstances where in churches i've met couples where both the husband and the wife are christians but are miserable and have a dysfunctional marriage and that is uh that is a subject that we don't have time to teach on but i want you to see in particular what he throws into this mix of unequally yoked marriages he said if the christian wife is saved she brings holiness to the marriage or if the christian husband is saved he brings holiness to the marriage and what did paul say he said your children because of your holiness that's brought into the marriage bond are made holy though their children they are made holy let's read it again in verse 14 the christian wife brings holiness to her marriage and the christian husband brings holiness to his marriage otherwise your children would not be holy but now they are holy paul taught us that a christian husband or a christian wife brings holiness to their marriage covenant that covers the children it does not cover the unbelieving spouse very important distinction the salvation of the wife does not cover the husband when it comes to the wrath of god and judgment or the christian husband his salvation does not cover his wife when it comes to the wrath of god in judgment day but the children are covered by the holiness of god and paul made it clear now i might add that children in the original greek from this text and this passage it refers to young children it refers to children prior to the age of innocence it does not refer to a 45 year old son who's a drug dealer and living in sin and many other examples it specifically means the children prior to the age of innocence are covered by the holiness of the christian spouse brought into that covenant so it's beyond my ability to believe i'm just going to be very transparent here it is beyond my ability to believe that god would take christian parents in the rapture of the church but leave their defenseless young innocent children behind to face the apocalyptic events of the seven years of tribulation in no way does my mind does my spirit does my education in the bible allow me in any way shape or form to believe that god would take the husband or the wife or both in the rapture but leave the young children behind defenseless to face the apocalyptic events of the great tribulation i can in no way shape or form see any of god in that particular view let me give you the second reason before we end today why i believe in this third view and the second reason and by the way this is not only something that i believe many many notable scholars would accept what i'm going to teach you as well we're talking about the third view that the children of christians will be taken in the rapture now you must also understand what's implied by that the children of unbelievers will be left behind the children of unbelievers will be left behind now you say well didn't you just say that in no way shape or form could you believe that god would leave children behind no if you think that's what i said you weren't paying attention to details you see the unbelieving parents are going to be left behind and the unbelieving children are going to be left behind with their unbelieving parents that's i believe why jesus said woe unto mothers in the great tribulation who are nursing babies because the unbelieving mother is left behind and she has her unbelieving child with her both are left behind both face the wrath of the great tribulation how do you justify that from the bible well let's go into the bible and take a look again i'm going to go through some bible stories and in your time please feel free if you're not familiar with these biblical accounts to read them and study them and meditate upon them but i want to show you a biblical precedent and not just one i want to show you several biblical precedents that cause me to feel that the third view answers to the integrity of the bible and that view of course is that only the children of believers will be taken in the rapture when we study the account of noah and that account is found in genesis chapter 5 it states that all the world was destroyed by the judgment of the flood all all men all women all children were destroyed by the judgment of the flood however noah was spared he was called in the bible in the new testament a great preacher of righteousness noah as a believer in righteousness was spared his wife was spared his three sons were spared and their wives were spared all of them were spared from judgment we also see in genesis chapter 19 in the judgment of sodom and gomorrah that when god eradicated the inhabitants of these two wicked cities with fire and brimstone that judgment also eradicated all men all women all children who were engrossed in wickedness and were unbelievers in an old testament sense but yet the scripture tells us that the only lives that were spared from judgment were lot and his children his wife was judged because of carnal compromise when she should have been going up she turned around and looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt but lot is a believer in righteousness from an old testament perspective and it would infer that his daughters were as well he and his children were spared now the bible does not give us an account to provide the ages of the children of noah and the children of lot it does indicate however that from an old testament perspective they were believers in righteousness we find the identical biblical precedent in exodus chapter 11 where we read about the severe judgment upon pharaoh and the inhabitants of egypt those who had believed moses and had applied the blood of the innocent lamb to the sides and the top of the door frames of their houses were spared from the judgment of god including their children the death angel did not touch a single home or a single life of those who had taken the innocent lamb and the blood and applied it to the doorposts of their home this precedent that i have showed you in these passages and in these biblical accounts is identically the same through each of these biblical stories all those who were accounted as righteous and their children were delivered from the time of judgment but all of the wicked including their children were not when god sends judgment he rescues believers and their children but when god sends judgment he does not do the same for unbelievers and their children what a difficult passage what a difficult subject but the best that we can do as i've tried to do today is to share with you the three dominant views that i believe are the only three views that are worthy of attention i strongly as you've already figured out would disagree with the first view that no children no children will be raptured during this next coming prophetic event the rapture of course is the next coming prophetic event that first view teaches no children will be raptured all children will be left behind i've made a biblical case as to why i feel like that falls short of the integrity of scripture the second view that all children will be taken in the rapture again fall short of the totality of what the scripture teaches us and then the third view only the children of believers will be taken up during the rapture is the view that satisfies the weight of scholarship and i took the time to walk you through the old testament passages and show for you precedence of judgment all of those precedents have the same model and that was the children of the wicked were left behind and judged and the children of the believing or the children of the righteous were spared and preserved somebody asked the question well what will happen to the children of unbelievers one of the scholars that i read his name dr hitchcock wrote this quote listen carefully to what he said quote i believe that during the tribulation young children of unbelievers will have an opportunity to believe in christ as they come of age during this period of judgment those who have died during the tribulation before they are old enough to understand the claims of the gospel will be taken to heaven to be with christ end of quote and i agree with that even though the children of unbelievers will be left behind when the rapture takes place if they die before their age of innocence and that's another bible study that we'll do what is the age of innocence found in the scripture that deserves a teaching and i promise that is available and will be available in all of our platforms but let me come back to the point if those children of unbelievers are left behind and they die in tribulation through one of the horrific events prior to the age of innocence they will be in heaven but all children of unbelievers who come to an age of understanding the difference between right and wrong who have an opportunity to receive christ but refuse it will face the same judgment as unbelieving parents so in conclusion the third view in my humble estimation best answers the weight of scripture but i will conclude by saying this whatever god does when the rapture takes place will not invalidate his justice and his righteousness let me say that again for emphasis whatever takes place after the rapture will not invalidate the righteousness and the justice of a holy god the unsaved are not ready for the rapture in fact the day of the lord which begins with the rapture will come upon the unsaved the bible said like a thief in the night in the infancy of this teaching and answering the question what will happen to children after the rapture i spent time reading several passages to you and pointed out that they all had a common denominator to be ready for the rapture the bible said we have to be in christ are you ready for the rapture regardless of your age it's the next major prophetic event it's a signless event it could take place at any moment and as i watch the world around us and even if you're not a student of bible prophecy you must have some common sense as you view the world and the collapse of our nation and the collapse of morality and the collapse of the of the family the collapse and the attack of the church you must have some common sense that tells you something's not right the bible prophesied it all the lord is soon to come by means of rapture and you need to be ready to meet the lord would you like to be ready to be in christ you must recognize your sin you must repent of your sin and you must receive jesus christ you can do that with me right here right now would you pray with me wherever you're at just pray right now say lord jesus today as i was listening to the bible you were speaking to me i want to be ready in these last days i want to be ready for the rapture of the church i want to have a right relationship with god and so today i not only recognize my sin but i confess it to you and i repent in childlike faith i turn my back on sin and i turn my heart to jesus i trust in the cross and in the blood that you shed for my salvation you became the innocent lamb of god and through the shedding of your blood you paid the penalty for all sin including mine come into my heart lord jesus today i receive salvation by faith and i vow i will live for you all the days of my life in place of my weakness give me your strength fill me with the holy spirit and keep me ready to meet you in jesus name i pray amen and amen [Music] into my heart my heart come into my heart lord jesus come in today coming to stay come into my heart lord jesus come in today come in to stay come into my heart [Music]
