I want to speak to you tonight on the subject of will the church go through the Great Tribulation as we've been preaching this week I've done my best to walk you through a fundamental chronology of endtime prophecy and if you'll remember in one of the early messages I spoke to you on the subject of the rapture and as I preached to you on the rapture I identified that the next major prophetic event on the calendar of God is the rapture of the church and I told you that it's a sign this event there are no prophetic signs in the Bible that describe when the rapture will take place it is a sign 'less event in the Bible tells us that no man knows the day nor the hour but all of the endtime prophecies that are contained in the scriptures point to the Great Tribulation and the second coming of Christ and the events of what I oftentimes call eternity z' front-porch all of the events that will take place after and so as we have walked through many of these great prophetic passages this week you have learned how close we are to a one world leader the Bible called him the Antichrist a one-world government a one world economy a one world religion a one world military power and we've helped you and read to you quotes from world leaders who are crying from the Pope to other kings and other leaders and other luminaries all over the world large voices are crying for a one-world referee and a one-world religion and a one-world global system it's the reason why the wheels are falling off of a lot of our American history because people don't understand that the magnetism of Bible prophecy is pulling us in a direction that's irreversible that's why the Bible when you begin to see these things happen lift up your head because your Redemption draweth nigh and so I hope that you have learned this week that the most important thing about Bible prophecy is Matthew chapter 24 and verse 44 where the scripture said be ye also ready for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man cometh but tonight we're going to pick up here in 2nd Peter chapter 2 and we're going to begin to read there and we're going to focus this last service upon one single subject and I'm going to show you why the church cannot go through the Great Tribulation I hope that through the years if the Lord tarries that I might be regarded in this house as a trusted voice in Bible prophecy but I want to make sure that you understand if you're hearing me for the first time whether in this sanctuary or watching online or through some other technology that you're not gonna hear my opinions you're going to hear the Bible from the beginning and throughout and in the end and when I'm done we're going to do the most important thing that we do each night and that is we're going to give you an opportunity to make peace was gone some of you perhaps that are watching you don't have a confidence many times I ask people would you be ready to meet the Lord if he were to come today and sometimes if not oftentimes the answer is I sure hope so or I think so well I can't leave you with and I think so and I can't leave you with an I hope so the Bible said in first John you can know so there is a place of knowing that your heart is right with God that's why in every service I've asked the question and I'm gonna ask it in the infancy of this service do you have a clear distinct memory of a time in your life when you've gotten down on bended knees in the presence of a holy God and said God I know I'm a sinner God's you know everything I've ever done the Bible said there's books in heaven and will be held accountable for every idle word so god I'm humbling my heart in your holy presence and I'm asking you to forgive me of my sin I'm gonna trust in the cross and in Christ and I'm willing by childlike faith to repent of my sin and I'm asking you come into my heart be my Lord be my Savior and help me to be what you've called me to be and if you've never personally and publicly repented of sin and asked Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior this is the number one reason while I'm here I want to help you make peace with God and so even as I begin to read this verses in the Bible get into this subject wherever you're sitting just quietly inside not out loud but internally will you pray and say God will you give me the courage to do what I ought to do tonight and the last thing we'll do is we'll give that invitation and I'm gonna challenge you to do what I've seen over 600,000 people around the world do for the very first time I'm gonna challenge you to meet me at an altar say man that'll take faith and courage and humility yeah it sure will but I've been in countries where just for them to gather together and to have a service means they risk their life every time they do so I've done stealth internet evangelism where they meet in homes at three four o'clock in the morning in various locations and never the same location twice and people pay an incredible price so I'm just gonna be honest with you I have a hard time finding sympathy in my heart anywhere on America where we sit in a building like this this is one of the most beautiful church campuses in all of Texas and they do an incredible of keeping this property spit polished we sit here in comfortable seating incredible lighting incredible music everything that technology can afford your leadership team here goes out of its way to make sure that you're blessed and well provided for and many of your sacrifices and your offerings are committed to that as well but it's hard for me to find sympathy in America where people can't walk 50 steps to pray and seek the face of God so I'm not saying that to intimidate you I'm telling you that it's gonna take faith and it's gonna take courage and it's gonna take humility some of you young people that are listening to me you've never made your own personal and public commitment to Christ and you need to do it because many of you have younger brothers and younger sisters and what you may not be aware of that eternity z' morning will reveal to you is the decision you made to go to heaven will result in your younger brothers and sisters following in your path and they'll be in heaven as well but mark my words that if you decide to follow the world and live in sin and throw Christ in the backseat and forget about God you may very well have a younger brother or a younger sister that'll follow the path that you've blazed and it'll lead them to a Christ liske eternity and a place the Bible calls even in the 21st century hell if you want to be ready to the Lord meet the Lord say a big amen second Peter 2 verse 5 and God did not spare the ancient world except for Noah and the seven others in his family Noah warned the world of God's righteous judgment so God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood pause right there we'll come back to this but I want you to begin to see the biblical pattern of God rescuing the godly if for he poured out judgment let's read on later god condemned the cities of sodom and gomorrah and turned them into heaps of ashes he made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people but God also rescued lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful in morality of the wicked people around him yes lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness that he saw and heard day after day so you see the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials even while keeping the wicked under punishment until that final day of judgment now I lay this down as biblical text in context but I'm going to repeat it over and over because the Bible repeats it over and over but I wanted you to see those words that even in the Old Testament when God poured out judgment and here in 2nd Peter Peter said he's going to do it like he did it in Noah's day and he's going to do it like he did in lot's day Jesus later said it'll be like it was in the days of Noah and as it was in the days of lot I want you biblically to see the holy sacred foundation that the judgment of God before it is poured out in full wrath there is a biblical pattern throughout the scripture where before God pours out his full wrath he provides an opportunity to rescue the godly when the Bible speaks of a seven-year period that will come immediately after the wrath of the church and at the end of the second coming of Christ it describes a time where God Himself is going to crush and pulverize and grind a wicked world under the full weight of his wrath well why would I use such verbage because we don't use the word tribulation too much in the 21st century but in the Bible it's taken from a Greek word that means a large stone that takes grain and pulverizes it until it's like flour and so the people of the day would have understood what these holy authors were writing better than we do because that's something that they all had a visual of in their communities and where they lived they would have eventually at some point in their life seen these large mills that had extra-large stones that ground that various grain until it was just like flour that's really what the tribulation is when the Bible speaks of a great tribulation of seven years it is going to be a seven year span of time where the judgment of God comes on this planet like a mass of stone and grinds the ungodly into fine powder I know that's difficult but that's what the Bible teaches many times people ask me so you're committed to the pre-tribulation position in the Bible I'm committed to the Bible and the Bible clearly teaches it but I want to be honest enough to tell you that there are people who teach other things there are people who believe that the church will go through the first three and a half years of the Great Tribulation there are also people who believe that the church will go through three quarters of the tribulation there are some people who believe that the church will go through the entirety of the tribulation and there are some people who believe Elvis is still alive I'm so committed to this position that I'm gonna show you in Scripture I have no room of question mark concerning a position called post tribulation that teaches that God's going to take all of the church through the entirety of the Great Tribulation and I believe you'll be convinced of this by the time this night is done I am so against that position I also and I'll just say it it's my opinion I'll say it stated as such I believe it's the weakest position in all of biblical scholarship and the easiest unfold but I'm so much against it I don't even eat post cereal I don't even allow post-it notes in my office I believe that we're getting ready to be raptured and soon we're about to hear a trumpet unlike any you've ever heard before now with that said I have just been so blessed by all of the people especially the young people and children that are taking notes I had a parent tell me last night after service my children told me we can't miss one service while he's here so when you see children that are hungry for an understanding of the Bible and Bible prophecy that's a wonderful thing and I think we should give our young people and applause for their hunger for God in my life notes 40 years of studying Bible prophecy on this subject alone I have 50 theological reasons why the church cannot go through the great tribulation but I'm not going to attempt to preach all 50 tonight but I'm gonna get as far as I can go in the amount of time that we have and I will give you my pledge I'll not waste your time but I am gonna ask you to do your best to get very focused do your very best to stay with me because I'm probably going to move at a fairly quick pace and cover as much this as I can number one Jesus himself told us that we can't go through the Great Tribulation I'm gonna give you if the Lord will help me 5 irrefutable biblical reasons why the church cannot go through the Great Tribulation number one Jesus himself told us now the last book in the Bible is a book called the book of Revelation by the way it's not revelations plural it's revelation singular it's amazing how many leaders in evangelical circles still call it the book of revelations but it's the book of Revelation no big deal just clarifying but it's a letter that was given to a man named John John had been persecuted and then sentenced to a Nile called Patmos and he was there almost somewhat of a solitary confinement type of deal and he was there for life and while he was on this island which is located right outside of Turkey modern-day Turkey Jesus Christ gives to him this vision that we call the book of Revelation now Jesus in speaking to him in Revelation chapter 2 and verse 1 through Revelation chapter 3 and verse 22 from 2 verse 1 to 3 verse 22 Jesus gives him seven letters to seven churches these are actual churches there were seven churches located in close proximity to the Isle of Patmos these were early 1st century Christian churches and Jesus gives seven letters to the seven churches now these letters are personal but they were more than that they were also prophetic because though they addressed seven churches that were actually in existence we now know that Jesus phrases these letters in such a way that those seven letters identify the seven stages of the church throughout history now if you're a brand new Christian you're living in a time that the Bible calls the church age there wasn't always a church the church began with the life of Jesus Christ and the church age ends at the sound of the trumpet and at the rapture of the church that is called biblically the church age and so the seven letters of Jesus identifies seven spiritual conditions of the entire church age but they also uniquely and prophetically speak personally to seven churches the letters to the final two churches the Church of Philadelphia and the Church of Laodicea just for further study those letters actually are identifying the condition of the church in the world today but let me ask you to turn to Revelation chapter 3 and verse 10 because there the Bible said because you have obeyed my command to persevere I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world now notice that the Bible said that it is a time of testing and the Bible said it is a test to those who belong to this world the Great Tribulation is going to be a test and a time of judgment for Israel and for the ungodly but I want you to see what Jesus said in verse 10 he said because you have obeyed my command to persevere pause right there I have hit that point at least a dozen different ways this week I have challenged you to remain faithful under the coming of the Lord I have told you that there are no sins worth going to hell over there's no man worth going to hell over there's no woman worth going to hell over there's no pleasure worth going to hell over there's no position worth going to hell over there's no habit worth going to hell over there's no drug worth going to hell over you need to understand that if you're going to be ready when the Lord Jesus Christ comes there has to be something in your spirit that's committed to persevering that's why you should teach your children that whatever they start they need to finish raise your kids to be finishers and not quitters Emami practice is so hard I got a blister on my heel suck it up cowboy we're going back raise your kids to be fighters raise your kids to be committed put a fire in your kid's belly that Christians finish what they start that Christians don't bow to an ungodly world we are not second-class citizens no matter what people say we are the children of the Most High God you are the sons of God and you are the daughters of God and because you are made from royal stock there needs to be an attitude in your spirit I'm not gonna quit I am NOT a sinker I'm a swimmer I am NOT a loser I am a winner and I am gonna persevere just like Jesus told me I should I've told you in these week of meetings it's easier to live in sin it's easier to follow the crowd it's easier to give in to peer pressure but you had better remember the words of Jesus he said when I come the road that leads to heaven is straight and narrow and few there be that find it he's coming for people who have persevered now don't miss this take another look at verse 10 in chapter 3 of the book of Revelation he didn't say I will keep you through the tribulation he didn't say I will keep you in the time of tribulation he said translated from the original Greek manuscripts accurately I will keep you from the Great Tribulation so number one Jesus himself told us that we're not going through it he's going to keep us from it number two the book of Revelation tells us that we cannot go through the Great Tribulation now the book of Revelation is a very unique book two things that are very unique about this book separating it from all of the books number one it tells us in Revelation chapter 1 and verse 3 that anyone who takes time to listen and study the book of Revelation is always going to be given a supernatural blessing from God the scripture says in Revelation 1 and 3 those who read the words of this prophecy to the church that's me that's your pastors but those who listen to it and obey it revelation 1:3 tells me there's a supernatural blessing that is attached to the book of Revelation I've said it before let me say it one more time on this last night of this event because you have been faithful to attend and sit and meditate and learn and hunger for the things of God an endtime prophecy just mark it down and keep your antennae towards the Lord because something supernatural in the realm of blessing is coming your way I don't know what it is because I'm not God but I can tell you as a man of God that his word cannot lie and if God said those who hear the words of this prophecy and obey it there is a supernatural blessing then how many of will raise a hand and say father I receive it in the name of Jesus so that separates it from all of the books in the Bible the second thing that separates the book of Revelation from the other 65 books in the Bible is it gives us its own outline Jesus systematically lays out an outline for the vision that we call the book of Revelation that's found in Revelation chapter one and verse 19 open your Bible and take a look at it there Jesus said write down what you have seen both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen so there's the simplistic threefold outline of the vision called the book of Revelation he said number one the things that you have seen they are all recorded in chapter one then jesus said the things which are the things which were were all recorded in chapters 2 and 3 but then jesus said a third thing he said the things that we'll be speaking prophetically forecasting what's going to happen throughout history and in the last days that you and I are currently living in and the things which will happen are contained in chapters 4 through chapter 22 let me give you an example the word church is found 19 times in the first three chapters of the book of Revelation that's a golden don't forget it very important that you understand that simplistic statement nineteen times the churches mentioned in the first three chapters so what happened to the church in the entirety of the remaining book of Revelation it's never found again the last time we see it is in Revelation chapter 3 and verse 22 but after Revelation chapter 3 and verse 22 we never see it mentioned again as a matter of fact turn to Revelation chapter 4 and verse 1 and there you'll see that the verse tells us of the removal and the catching up of the church but I'm going to do my best to keep moving in the direction I'm moving because we've preached about the rapture but I want to ask you a question the introduction of the Great Tribulation begins in chapter 4 and chapter 5 but the events of the Great Tribulation and the judgments and the balls and the trumpets and all of the apocalyptic events of the book of Revelation are from chapters 6 through 19 why is the church not found one single time after Revelation chapter 3 and verse 22 if we are going through any of the tribulation half of it 3/4 of it all of it how do you explain that from Revelation chapter 3 verse 22 that you never see the church again until there is a final salutation in the 22nd chapter after the tribulation and other events are now in the rearview mirror dr. Richard Mayhew I don't expect you to understand great scholars but dr. Mayhew is a great scholar let me just read word for word what he wrote quote he said it is remarkable and totally unexpected that John would shift from detailed instructions the church to absolute silence about the church if in fact the church continued into the Great Tribulation if the church will experience the Great Tribulation then surely the most detailed study of tribulation events would include an account of the church's role but it does not because the church is not here end of quote now I've talked to a lot of people and because of my position at a Bible College in the years that I've been there I've had the privilege of sitting down at tables with people who are far more educated than I far higher IQs than I'll ever have and one of the most common questions that comes to me concerning this view and this is one of the main arguments of those who believe we're going through any of the tribulation whether it's those who believe we're going halfway 3/4 the whole way here is the grandiose argument how convenient if for you as an American Christian to tell people that were not going through the Great Tribulation wow so many Christians throughout the world are suffering incredible tribulation how convenient for you and the luxury of America to say that the church is not going to experience tribulation how do you answer the thousands of Christians and they'll go down through the various countries of the world that are suffering incredible persecution how do you answer the thousands of Christians that have been beheaded and burned alive and on and on they'll go what do you do Tiff's with John chapter 16 and verse 33 mark it in your Bible but in John 16 and 33 the Bible says this in this world you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world and many of these who tried to make one of the various arguments about the church going through the Great Tribulation this is the theological backbone of their argument how do you explain that we're not going through the tribulation when John 16:33 said in this world you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world and their discourse unfolds that we do go through tribulation have gone through tribulation historically tribulation but God has rather said don't worry about it I'm going to give you an overcoming spirit now to the average Christian who's never been taught I can understand why that would be a huge intellectual hurdle but it's actually quite simple so don't miss it here it is yes the church has gone through tribulation first of all it's not accidental that in the Bible translated from the original text that the word tribulation is found in the Bible small T but the word tribulation is found in the Bible capital T don't miss it here it is historically from the infancy of the church in the first century until now the 21st century it would be a fool to say the church has never been through persecution there has been horrific persecution there is horrific persecution going on now yesterday they beheaded a Pentecostal pastor in Nigeria that was a leader in his denomination so I understand the sensitivity I understand the bruising of somebody standing up and saying the church is not going through the Great Tribulation but how many of you know that I have a responsibility to tell you not what my theological bias is but to tell you what the Bible said here it is don't miss it all of the tribulation that the church has gone through all of it from the first century until today has always been carried out by the hands of men has always been regional or cultural but the Great Tribulation in Revelation chapters 6 through Revelation chapter 19 is not tribulation carried out by the hands of men it is tribulation carried out by the hands of God and it is not regional and it is not cultural but it is global and that is biblically what separates that division and that confusion you have to understand that persecution in the church has always been present from the days of Christ until now but always carried out by men always carried out culturally or regionally but I'm preaching the book of Revelation that says when God like a mighty stone comes down on this earth to reckon with the ungodly and those who have turned their backs on him and have lived in perversion and shook their fist in the face of a holy God in denial and arrogance there is about to come upon this planet a season of tribulation that the world has never seen before and the world will never see again jesus said if the father had not shortened the time none would survive let me move on to another number three every Bible example tells us now if you went to seminary or Bible College if it were an accredited school sooner or later you'd take some courses entitled typology and in a good seminary or a good Bible College there'd probably be at least typology 1 and typology - well what is typology it's the study of the Bible whereby the Bible taught us that the Old Testament how many of you know that we live under the Covenant of the New Testament you know that if you attend this church if you attend this church and don't know that we don't live in a new covenant and that the old covenant is obsolete and been replaced by a better priest in a better covenant you've slept through every service you've attended because they cover that subject here as well as you're ever here it in anywhere in America but listen the Old Testament is not to be thrown away for the Bible says it contains types and shadows and examples of the things that are to come where does it say that Hebrews chapter 10 open your Bible I'll take the time to read it Hebrews chapter 10 verse 1 the old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow it's the Old Testament a dim preview of the good things to come a shadow a preview not the good things themselves the sacrifices under that system we'll repeat it again and again year after year but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship verse 2 if they could have provided perfect cleansing the sacrifices would have stopped for the worshipers would have been purified once and for all time and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared so here's just one passage of Scripture that clearly teaches us that the Old Testament is important even though we live in a new covenant bought by the blood of Jesus Christ God's only an holy son but it said remember this if you're going to understand the things to come prophecy endtime prophecy eschatology you need to understand the types the examples the shadows and the previews of the Old Testament so I don't have the time to do this if I had an entire night just to preach on the types and examples of the Old Testament that clearly laid down only one pattern and that is God's people being rescued before judgment came I couldn't cover it all in one service I could take another five nights just to preach on this so forgive me for running just through a few of the examples but let's start with Enoch Enoch the Bible said walked with God he was so righteous and had such a genuine relationship with God that the Bible said one day he went for a walk and Enoch was not he was living in the days of Noah and God took him out of the world how about Methuselah the longest man ever to live on the planet his name was Methuselah but did you know that a prophet of God gave him his name as a baby and the name of thoose Allah given by prophecy means when he dies judgment will come most scholars agree that Methuselah died seven days before the flood why seven days most scholars believe that it was the norm to have seven days of mourning and that God and His mercy allowed the family those seven days of mourning but Methuselah died seven days before the flood now think about that just quickly the man that God allowed to live longer than any other was allowed to live for such a prolonged time as a type of the mercy of God who also said in prophecy in the New Testament in 2nd Peter I will wait so that people have more time to be saved I will wait so that people have more time to be saved 2nd Peter chapter 3 and verse 9 God said I am willing that none should perish but all should come to repentance God wants you to be ready God doesn't want you to face tribulation God wants you to face coming judgment God does not want you to go through the Great Tribulation he is waiting until people have as much opportunity as the mercies of the Lord and the integrity of his word allow let me just give you another Noah and his family were taken into the ark the ark is a type of the cross and when God gave instructions for Noah to build the ark he very specifically gave him an order for it to have how many doors 1 why would he give him the instruction on such a massive Ark where the animals and the wildlife and his families and all that needed to be packed and loaded for this incredible adventure why 1 door because it's a type of Christ and when Jesus was born he said I am the door and no one can come to the Father except through me Jesus Christ said in John 14 I am the way the truth the life no man can come unto the father but by me Acts chapter 4 verse 12 the Bible said neither is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved when I give the invitation in a few moments and ask you to pray with me you need to understand this this is not my bias this is not my position this is not the creed of a denomination this is what God's Holy Bible said that if you want to have peace with God if you want to know that your sins are really forgiven if you want to have newness of life if you want to have a miracle power come inside of you that makes you what God created you to be instead of sin and what it is two forms you into being you've got to come to the cross and you've got to come to Jesus and you've got to trust that the blood that He shed upon that cross still washes every sin or way and set you free will you get ready for that invitation and the Bible said that God told Noah don't you even think about closing the door when it's time I'll close the door and there's another type where God shows us that man is not in charge of the end times that man is not in charge of the mercies of the Lord that God Himself shut the only door that was available on Noah's Ark and what happened after God shut the door the Bible said that the waters of the deep opened up and the waters began to come up out of the ground and then it began to rain and the waters came from above and below what happened to the ark when the judgment of God fell upon the entirety of the earth in the days of Noah the righteous as judgment came down the righteous were in the ark and the righteous were taken up that is the pattern of God throughout all of Scripture in the Old Testament a new when God's wrath is about to come down in the Great Tribulation if you come into the only door and into the Ark of safety and trust in Christ and the sacrifice that he paid for your sins you will not be left behind you will not be taken through the Great Tribulation but as the great power of God begins to work upon this earth in judgment and in wrath you will be taken up in the twinkling of an eye to be with the lord in the air and so dwell with him forever and ever if you want to go give God a mighty hand a praise one more example lot and his family Sodom and Gomorrah because Jesus says as it was in the days of Noah as it was in the days of lot remember Jesus said that the Son of God concerning endtime prophecy he said it'll be as it was in the days of Noah as it was in the days of lot forecasting not only the immorality and the perversions of the planet and the rebellion against God and His Word but even how God will rescue the ungodly and in that town that we know Sodom an both Gomorrah given over to such Chua perversions I can't even mention it mixed company and I won't stain your children's ears but it's as bad and worse as our society today and if you wonder why in the last days we're seeing such perversion almost as if in this country somebody backed up the septic system and the sewage of perversion is being revealed before our eyes from the top down it is a sign of the soon coming of Christ but I have good news for you the Bible said that God sent an angel to lot and took him out of that place and he and his family as the fire of God fell upon Sodom and Gomorrah they were told to go up into the mountain and though they resisted that at first they eventually added up in the mountain why because when the fire of God's wrath came down he wanted a lot to be an example of righteousness when judgment comes down the righteous always go up the Lord tarries we ever have opportunity to preach on this subject again I'd love to preach on the subject of the seven raptures of the Bible because there's seven very distinct raptures in the Bible and they all have the exact same pattern look at Genesis 18 and verse 25 in Genesis 18 Abraham is discussing with God about this coming judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah and he's negotiating and he's trying to deal with God God if there were fifty God if there were forty and read the story but looked at verse 25 and let me take the time to read it because it's incredibly powerful listen to it this is Abraham talking to God under the Old Covenant Abraham says to God surely you wouldn't do such a thing destroying the righteous along with the wicked why you should be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same surely you wouldn't do that should not the judge of all of the earth do what is right even under the Old Covenant Abraham knew that God could not treat the righteous in the same act of judgment that he treated the wicked and the ungodly then in 2nd Peter chapter 2 verse 5 the that in your Bible if it's not highlighted he made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people notice that the scripture says it was an example of judgment not upon people but upon ungodly people but God also rescued lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man sick of the shameful in morality of the wicked people around him there my friend are just a handful of examples there are a multitude that time will not allow me to share number 4 the love of God tells us when you study in the Bible the love of God perhaps no verse more known or more memorized than John chapter 3 verse 16 that says for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life do you remember earlier in the week when I taught you that that word perish in the original Greek means faced judgment for unrepented sin God is not in the business of pouring out judgment upon those who have Penton of sin he said I don't want you to you the choice between life and death oh that you would choose life that you and your descendants might live listen when you kneel at this altar in the moments to come and pray with me what many abuse and violence isn't it time somebody broke the curse of poverty and lack and having nothing I'm preaching a job that will not only save you and wash you in the blood of Jesus but it'll take you from a low place and put you in a high place and God keeps his word come on somebody shout hallelujah well pardon me what God has done for my family makes me shout and he'll do it for you as well Romans chapter 8 verse 1 there is no condemnation no coming judgement for those who belong to Christ Jesus we're at the bottom of the hour and I'll close the purpose of the Great Tribulation is twofold the purpose of the Great Tribulation is twofold first of all to purify Israel it's the number one reason of the Great Tribulation God is going to keep his covenant with his chosen people and he's gonna purify Israel the Bible says that when the Great Tribulation is done all of Israel shall be saved God is gonna raise up in the Great Tribulation a hundred and forty-four thousand Jewish evangelists twelve thousand out of each tribe maybe one day I'll preach on three things about Israel in Jerusalem every Christian should know but you should be thanking God every day that currently we have an administration who states over and over we will be Israel's greatest friend and we will be Israel's greatest ally because just in him saying that and I'm certain he's not a Bible scholar even if he stumbled upon it the Covenant is still the same he has placed our country under an umbrella of the blessing of God the great tribulation will be a time to execute wrath and judgment upon all who have rejected God the two biblical prophetic reasons for the Great Tribulation number one to purify Israel number two to judge the wicked and the ungodly lastly the blood of Jesus tells us Romans chapter 5 verse 9 the Bible says it better than I can preach it Romans chapter 5 verse 9 turned there and read along the Bible says much more than having now been justified by his blood here it is we were reconciled to God through the death of his son much more having been reconciled we shall be saved by his life when God sent His only begotten Son and allowed him to willingly be crucified on the cross and to shed his blood as the sinless Lamb of all eternity the Bible said that it paid the full penalty for all our sins let me state it to you simple enough that your children can understand when you receive Jesus Christ and of sin it removes and pays for the full payment of your sins God doesn't put you on a payment plan we're over five years with interest he begins to cleanse you and make you clean the moment you say father I'm a sinner I admit my sin forgive me wash me in the blood of Jesus come into my heart help me to learn how to walk in the ways of the Lord the Bible says in that moment by faith you are made a brand new creature in Christ Jesus and old things pass away and all things become new you say preacher all things God said all things all your past all your sins all the stuff your wife doesn't know about all the stuff your parents don't know about all your sins are washed away and the Bible said that when God forgives your sin he removes it as far as the East is from the West and it said he puts it and buries it in the sea of his forgetfulness and when God buries your sins in the sea of his forgetfulness he puts a sign over it that says no fishing allowed hallelujah you believe it and receive it give the Lord a mighty hand to praise that's why I firmly believe through what I've shown you in the Bible tonight and again if I had time I could lay out fifty substantial biblical arguments one just as strong as the next but I close with this anyone who teaches that you're going through any of the tribulation he is literally degrading and disavowing the efficacy of the blood of Jesus Christ if he paid the full payment for my sin why would he require me to go through the judgment of the great tribulation with the ungodly you literally disavow the power the efficacy of the shed blood of Jesus Christ remember what Jesus said in the beginning of this message as he gave that vision in the book of Revelation to John he said I am NOT going to take you through it I am going to keep you from it musicians would you come did the cross save us from sin or didn't it did the cross save us from condemnation or didn't it did the cross Sheamus save us from wrath or did it not did the cross save us from judgment or did it not Paul said in the book of Romans there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus as I prepare to give there's just one thing that I felt was really a little offensive you said you can go to church every Sunday of your life and go to hell and he began to tell me his family's history in the church and how his grandmother when she died left money to build the wing and on and on and on and I was young and not as diplomatic as I should have been but I had heard while I was there that the grand piano was almost 75 years old if I remember and had been in the church from the day at have been pioneered years ago I said don't be offended the church has been here for 75 years and the piano has been here 75 years and the piano is not going to heaven either things you say when you're young that you should think about but I haven't changed my position on that because there are a lot of people in America who live like hell and go to church on Sunday and sing amazing grace and think everything's gonna be okay and it doesn't work that way the average American spends 74 percent of every waking hour with a digital device in front of their face and many of you have not had enough relationship with God to clean up what you're putting in front of your eyes and you're not ready I'm not condemning you I'm telling you get ready the psalmist said I'll putting a wicked thing before my eyes and we live in a day and age where we've got to protect our children and we've got to protect our grandchildren because the enemy 74% of every waking hour is pumping the filth and the carnality and the sexuality and the godlessness and the jenner identity and on and on and on your kids are being assaulted almost every waking hour and we think that going to church on some day he's gonna change the course of our family destiny there has got to be a day where you've repented of sin and receive Jesus Christ I made a promise to you at the beginning of the week and if you'll give me just five minutes I mentioned to you something very serious that must be answered I told you that no one who rejects salvation prior to the rapture can be saved after the rapture and I pleaded with you not to misquote me please don't leave and say when TIFF was here he taught that no one will be saved during the Great Tribulation because I've never said that a multitude will be saved all of Israel shall be saved there are tribulation Saints so let me make it clear before we pray because you have listened to me tonight even if it's the very first time you've ever been to church if you miss the rapture you cannot be saved because as of tonight you'll never be able to stand before God and say no preacher ever loved me enough to open up the Bible and explain it to me because I've done it all week I've done it tonight you'll never be able to say that God no preacher ever said he'd pray with me no preacher ever loved me enough to look me in the eyes and say that no matter what my sin of my past was that the blood of your son Jesus would cleanse me because I've done all of that so you need to understand the weight of a week of preaching on Bible prophecy because if never before and I doubt that for many of you that would be so but if never before there's not one person listening to me present and live in this service or watching online in the days months or years to come that from this moment forward if the rapture takes place and you're left behind you have sealed your eternal fate in hell and the full wrath of the Great Tribulation now people always ask me where in the bible does it say that and I wouldn't say it without closing with those verses so here they are look at it in your Bible highlight it second Thessalonians 2 two verses verses 9 and 10 the Bible said this man the Antichrist will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power signs and miracles I covered that thoroughly and much more than that I preached on his the Antichrist alive today but here it is don't miss it he will use every kind of evil deception to fool those pause right here the Antichrist is going to have with his counterfeit and great dynamic power of supernatural counterfeit a power of evil deception and the Bible said he's gonna fool a group of people who read on he'll fool those who are on their way to destruction pause again the people that will be under this supernatural counterfeit deception are on their way to destruction there's no u-turn it's irreversible there's no rehabilitation in the Greek it makes it clear their fate and their destiny is sealed they're on their way to destruction why readon because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them most credible Bible scholars through the years take this apart in Greek piece by piece for example they take that word refuse and they clearly show that in the Greek it's past tense they had an opportunity to receive the forgiveness of God but when they had the opportunity they refused it and the Bible and I have 6 other passages pastor Austin if the Lord tarries and I'm ever back here I dedicated an entire night to this subject because it's that powerful but I felt it to be the most potent verse in the Bible that I could close this week with and I don't want you to miss the truth because it's this serious when the Antichrist is revealed after the rapture and that evil power of deception that will deceive the world there will be a supernatural deception that will come upon all who had had an opportunity to receive the love and the forgiveness of God past tense but had refused it I don't see any wiggle room in this in proper biblical scholarship other than to say that all who had an opportunity to be saved before the rapture but continued to live like health continued to live in sin continue to live in drunkenness worldly parties sexual immorality gossip and lies drunkards living in the things of sin and crawling in the church on Sunday morning and trying to find enough strength to raise a hand to sing amazing grace I have to love you enough to tell you you'll be left behind and for you there is no other opportunity literally don't miss it I know this is sobering but don't miss it the sound of the trumpet for many in the North American church will be the last sound that they hear before they are forever and eternally put into a place where the screams of the Damned will replace the glorious trumpet of the rapture you had better make your decision before the trumpet sounds because one of the problems with listening to tif Shuttlesworth is that pray every day please old God don't ever let me stand and proclaim the gospel from a sacred desk
