if you're here tonight and you don't know jesus christ as your personal lord and savior in just a moment i'm going to be preaching on the subject of what happens five seconds after you die listen carefully when i say this if you feel like you're the worst sinner in alaska and you're here tonight tonight i'm your best friend i'm not here to judge you i'm not here to beat you up with the bible i'm not here to point a finger of accusation your way but i've given my entire life to helping sinners find their way to an old rugged cross and maybe you haven't heard good news in a while maybe you're going through a tough patch but i've got some good news tonight the blood of jesus christ still washes away every sin and hell has forged no chains that heaven cannot break and before i'm done tonight i'm going to give an invitation and when i give that invitation i'm going to challenge you to do something that's going to take faith courage and humility i'm going to ask you to pray with me publicly what many people call a sinner's prayer and you can walk out those doors in the moments to come knowing maybe for the first time in your life knowing not thinking not hoping but knowing my heart is right with god because the bible still says in the 21st century all who call upon the name of the lord shall be saved and you're my most important priority tonight i mean that i feel like i'm speaking to somebody by the spirit of the lord maybe somebody invited you and you feel very awkward and you don't go to church and it's like the fellow years ago in one of our meetings his sister pleaded with him to come to church he said sis my life you know how i've lived i can't go to church he said please will you come just one night he said you know if i come to church the ceiling will fall on top of me and kill me there's no way god could possibly save me well she got him out to the house of god and it was a brand new church and while they were singing one of the light fixtures that hang from the wall true story big huge four foot by twenty some inch light in the ceiling fell from the ceiling and crashed in the chair right behind him without missing a beat he turned his sister said i told you so but no lights are falling tonight but i want to say right up front if you need jesus christ tonight your night don't put it off you're not here by accident you're here by divine design the lord had you be here tonight because he wanted you to hear an evangelist that genuinely cares about you and i meant what i said i don't care what your past looks like there's no sin in your life greater than the grace of god if you'll come to him with a humble heart and childlike faith and i'm going to challenge you to do tonight what i've seen over 600 000 people in 56 countries of the world do for the very first time i'm going to challenge you tonight to put your hand in the hand of the lord jesus and begin newness of life and once you give your heart to the lord it'll always be forward and it'll always be upward it'll never be backward it'll never be downward if you live by the teachings and the commandments of christ and they'll give you the power to do it your night will be a night tonight that starts a forward and upward trajectory until the lord comes again if you believe it and receive it say a big amen listen pastor is going to come on this last night to receive an offering for lost lamb association if you're a guest or if you're a visitor the bible says in third john that traveling ministries which is what i hear you're stealing my offering teaching okay i won't do it no no go ahead actually it's important to be led by the spirit i'm like how are you doing that it's important to be led by the spirit right there look at that sure enough but it says it said that we traveling ministries turn there no listen turn there because i want you guys to get this you need to get this turn there turn third john third john there's only one chapter so isn't that something you honestly had that i'm serious of all of the verses in the bible i'm pretty fast with my thumbs but i told you we're close that's it that's a unique spirit but you know what it says it says traveling ministries should never put financial pressure upon those that don't know the lord so if you're not right with god there's no pressure and i always get a kick out of people that say you know the church all they wants your money you know as if walmart wants a deep and meaningful relationship it's the truth lord i apologize for that and i ask you to forgive me but no need so this is for those of you that are christians those of you that have been here every service you know i've said little to nothing and i'm not going to say anything much about ministry tonight they're going to play a video before pastor prays for this and but the only thing i ask is just be obedient to the bible the bible says people should never give by the pressure of men nor by coercion but by the leading of the spirit so i'm just going to bow my head and pray for you and pray for lost lamb and as we pray together will you just allow the lord to tuck in your heart what you would do and then just be obedient to the lord and that's how god's work gets done i'm not a beggar i'm a preacher and i know who my provider is and i challenge you to be a part of it tonight before you pray before you pray since we're tag-teaming right sure you're the pastor hey thanks i i want to i want you to see this i want you to say this this is why we do what we do now generally we do this at the end we're not doing it because of the nature of what's been happening the power of god is going to hit this place i'm telling you you're fixing to get wrecked by the by the power of god here it's going to be amazing time third john verse 5 there's only one chapter new living translation dear friend you're being faithful to god when you care for traveling teachers that's that's that's what he is traveling teacher and evangelist who pass through even though they're strangers to you verse six they have told the church here of your loving friendship please continue providing for such teachers are you reading this with me providing for such teachers in a manner that pleases god that would mean that evangelist tiff there's a manner that would not please him is that right so there's a manner that pleases a manner that doesn't verse seven for they're traveling for the lord why why is tiff traveling for the for the lord they accept nothing from people who are not believers and that that's a good instruction and i know tiff that's the case verse 8 so we ourselves should support them so we can be their partners as they teach the truth this is a profound moment and it's a biblical thing and i've taught you before but it's been a little bit since i went to third john to teach you so uh you want to pray now i would all right i would yeah we'll bring the ushers here in a second amen just raise a hand to heaven as i pray a blessing over your life father we humble our hearts in your holy presence and we declare that you're our father and in the 41 years that i have served you in missions and evangelism all over the world you have been nothing but faithful to me and i praise you i pray that you would help me to live my life with integrity the bible says doing things that are right both in the eyes of men and in the eyes of god but i pray that as they sow this seed and many of them that you've spoken to are doing something that for them is very sacrificial but the bible says give and it shall be given unto you press down shaken together running over shall men give to your bosom the bible says in proverbs all goes well for those who are generous we learned a long time ago that nothing sown into seeds and soil of integrity does anything except produce multiple fruit beyond our imagination and so i ask that blessing upon these precious people for those that need to be blessed i pray you'd promote them give them better jobs i pray for every businessman for every businesswoman within the sound of my voice let their businesses rise above all of their competitors as they serve the lord in faithfulness i pray for supernatural accounts and supernatural provisions and supernatural openings and connections let the blessing of the lord that maketh rich and addeth no sorrow be their portion we'll be careful to give you the praise and the honor and the glory for we ask it in jesus name amen just before they show this video something very clear because i don't is not to go to the believer and hold a pep rally the job of the evangelist is to find the unreached but to be ready for the lord you have to be about christ about his work about his business john 3 of the eighth chapter of the gospel of mark and i'm asking you to go down to verse 34. mark chapter 8 verse 34 if you're sitting next to someone that doesn't have a bible if you'd be kind enough to share if you came to god's house without a bible shame shame shame mark 8 and 34 then calling the crowd to join his disciples he said if any of you wants to be my follower you must turn from your selfish ways take up your cross and follow me pause right there for a moment no one who is selfish can legitimately claim to be a disciple of christ this verse reveals the cost of following christ for the cross means unto death let's read on verse 35 if you try to hang on to your life you'll lose it but if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the good news you will save it it's a very perplexing scripture at first glance let me read it to you again if you try to hang on to your life you'll lose it but if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the good news you will save it this paradoxical saying reveals a powerful spiritual truth and here it is all those who would rather follow after a life of worldly pleasure and the acceptance of men will never receive the acceptance of god and cannot inherit eternal life verse 36 and what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul verse 37 what an incredible brief verse that says is anything worth more than your soul and in those two verses we see the incredible economy of god totally different from our value system because the bible said what does it benefit or what does it profit if you game the whole world but lose your soul let me tell you how important you are to god because some of you have been raised in a home where you were told you were not important some of you actually had parents who said on a regular basis i wish i had never had you some of you have heard your closest loved ones laughingly say at a thanksgiving table he or she was a mistake some of you have been told you will never amount to anything some of you have heard you're a failure as long as i've known you you've been a failure you're always going to be a failure some of you have heard people say i've given up on you i have no hope in my heart for you doing anything except being the loser i've always known you to be but this preacher came to tell you tonight you will never hear those words from the heavenly father he said what does it profit you if you game the whole world and lose your own soul let me put that in 21st century english god said you're more valuable to him than the cumulative value of the entire planet take all of the gold in alaska take all of the gold all over the world take all of the money all of the architecture all of the artwork anything of value in the world add it all together and god's telling you tonight to him you're more valuable than the total worth of the world god's going to help you to start to see your life a little differently tonight if you'll allow him to speak to you in multiple human studies and surveys concerning what our people's greatest fears at the top of that list is the fear of death and the older and wiser that people become the more they have serious thoughts about the end of the road the more people think about my life and how many years i have remaining i've crossed that bridge in recent years up until i was about 50 years old i was 10 feet tall and bulletproof but i begin to find myself on long trips beginning to wonder how many years do i have left to serve the lord how many years do i have left to win a million people to jesus christ how many world missions crusades are left on my schedule in eternity's books how much time do i have to give to the lord in recent months i've asked the lord because in the bible it said caleb was 85 years old and at the age of 85 he told that crowd of people i'm 85 but i'm as strong now as when i was 40. give me now this mountain that belongs to me and based upon reading that one day i bowed my head and i asked the lord lord you know i'm never going to retire but will you reveal to me the supernatural secrets of being able to do what i do and to travel the world until at least 85 and if you'd help me to do it longer and the lord tarries i'm signed up for the whole kit and caboodle i'm going to serve the lord all the days of my life because souls are that valuable to god at lost lamb association we have something that we say all the time there is no greater cause than winning the lost and if i flew all the way and all those thousands of miles and all of those hours just for you tonight to find your way back to the foot of an old rugged cross and to call upon the name of the lord for the forgiveness of sin i think i can say with an honest heart and pure hands in the presence of a holy god i'd do it all again just for you we've seen people every night when the invitation has been given fill this altar to make peace with god and tonight's your night tonight's your night to tell the devil that he no longer has any right to your life he no longer has any right to your future he no longer has any right to your health or to your home or to your marriage or to your children or to your finances but tonight jesus christ is going to break the curse of sin that is stolen from you and the life of jesus christ is going to become your forever portion if you believe it and receive it give the lord a mighty hand of praise [Applause] hallelujah there's a famous line in the jewish talmud that reads this way quote man is born with his hands clenched but he dies with them wide open end of quote and what that jewish proverb means is that when we're born we have a propensity towards selfishness one of the very first words all of us that are parents one of the very first words we want it to be daddy we want it to be mommy but usually the first word a child ever utters is mine because the human nature is against the default program of the gods you were created in the image of and sin is selfish but righteousness is gloriously generous here's something interesting for those of you that like to take notes don't miss this in the country in which we live we have one of the longest average life spans of any country on the face of the globe and that happens to be currently 75 years in length in this country the average person now lives 75 years the average person in the world less than 60. but based on the longest average in our country if you're 20 years old you have 660 months left if you're 30 years old you have 540 months left if you're 40 years old you have 420 months left if you're 50 years old you're down to 300 months if you're 60 years old you have 180 months left if you're 70 years old you're down to a handful of 60 months if you're 80 years old or older i'm going to stop here unless the service becomes suicidal that's right some of you are a ticking time bomb and you know it so here's the grand deals question of the night what happens five seconds after you die hebrews 9 27 says just as one person is destined to die once but after that comes the judgment death is not the end of your life the funeral is not the end of your life you do not rot in the ground and become worm bait as many people jokingly say according to the eternal word of the living god but rather the bible said it's not a period when you write a sentence the end of the sentence you put a period death is not a period at the end of your life death is not an exclamation point at your funeral death is a comma between life temporary and life eternal there are four things about life after death that you must understand number one the first thing you need to understand is that you and only you have control of the outcome as to what happens to you after you die that is pure heavy alaska biblical gold you and only you have control as to the outcome as to what will happen to you after you die no one has the power or the ability to decide where you're going to spend eternity i don't care how many times you've been told to go to hell you don't have to go i was admiring some harley davidsons outside of a restaurant in central texas i have a harley myself 142 horsepower goes zero to 100 and about 3.6 it helps to hang on and be with the bike when it hits it i wasn't dressed like a preacher most of the time you'll catch me outside of the pulpit in my favorite jeans probably one of my favorite pair of boots and a shirt and uh they didn't know i was a preacher and when they came out this bunch of bikers we got to talking a little bit and then i began to witness to them and as i was witnessing to them at one point one of the biggest guys that i assumed was one of the leaders he had had about i don't know 27 to 37 beers too many he wasn't really ready for an iq test i'll leave it at that but in his slurred voice he said you can go to hell and i just smiled at him and said no you don't have the right to send me there i've already made a choice i'm going to heaven and i'm telling you tonight nobody has the right to tell you to go to hell you and you alone have control as to where you're going to spend eternity number two the second thing you need to know about life after death is there are only two destinations available to you the bible said you will be ushered into eternal life or into eternal punishment matthew chapter 25 and verse 46 the bible said and they will go away into eternal punishment but the righteous will go into eternal life there really is a heaven and there really is a hell and you're going to spend your eternity in one of those two places and you're the only one who has the ability to make the decision as to where you end up and in the moments to come when i give the invitation you literally can secure your eternal address i said in a few moments if you'll pray that sinner's prayer with me you can literally secure your eternal address and have a peace in your heart tonight when you lay your head to the pillow maybe for the very first time that if the lord were to come tonight where i took my last breath before the sun comes up i know in whom i have believed and the angels of the lord will escort you into the presence of the lord the third thing you need to understand is that there are only two things you can do with jesus you can receive him or you can reject him but don't think for a moment you can remain neutral don't think for a moment you can sit through a message like this and say well you know what i'm just gonna think this through for a little bit and not tonight i i just don't know if i and you think that you can come back to the lord at your decision the bible says that you can't even get saved unless the father draws you getting right with god is not you choosing god it's god choosing you and how does god choose people the bible said through the foolishness of preaching god ordained that the gospel should reach the lost you are in a holy moment in your life tonight whoever invited you to come tonight you're not here by an accident god loved you so much that he interrupted your schedule today and brought you into a house where people have been praying for you and people love you and people that used to have worse lives than you did who came to christ now want to share that same blessing with you but the bottom line is they can't make that decision for you you have to make it for yourself john chapter 15 and verse 16 the bible says you have not chosen me but i have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain salvation is not the night or the day or the hour that you put god into your iphone calendar it's the moment that god by the holy spirit through the preaching of the holy bible touches your heart in a way that you know to be genuine and you have to make a decision am i going to receive christ or am i going to reject christ but there is no neutral and make sure i make this clear to you because i love you enough to tell you the truth if you receive him heaven is your eternal home but if you reject him disney world is not an option number four the fourth thing you need to understand is what you do with jesus christ determines what happens to you five seconds after you die in first john chapter 5 and verse 11 the bible said and this is what god has testified he has given us eternal life and this life is in his son whoever has the son has life but whoever does not have god's son does not have life i have written this to you who believe in the name of the son of god so that you may know that you have eternal life you can know i've talked to people lovingly and kindly and asked them if they knew and i've heard a lot of people through the years say well i hope so or i think so but i can't leave you tonight with and i hope so or and i think so i want you to know so and the way to know is to repent of sin and to receive jesus christ as lord and savior and the bible said as many as call upon his name he gives to them the power to become the sons and the daughters of god you don't have the power to live a christian life you know it god knows it the devil knows it but that's the good news the bible said when a person repents of sin and receives jesus christ god gives to you a power that's not your own he gets in the canoe with you and he takes the stern seat and he puts the paddle in the water with you and he makes sure that you get to the shoreline that you were born to paddle towards he won't leave you alone he will make sure that whatever his divine plan was for his your life his will will help you to get it done come on if you believe it and receive it say big amen luke chapter 12 verse 8 the bible says i tell you the truth everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth the son of man will acknowledge them in the presence of god's angels but anyone who denies me here on earth will be denied before god's angels one of the most common questions i'm asked by reporters and interviewers and radio hosts in our lost slam events is why do you ask people to come forward publicly and the answer is simply this and i always have my bible with me at an interview and i just opened to luke chapter 12 and i said because jesus said in luke chapter 12 if you confess me publicly before men i'll confess you publicly before my father which is in heaven but if you're ashamed of me before men i'll be ashamed of you before the father and the angels i'll be straight with you tonight being a christian is not for sissies it takes courage to live for the lord it takes a real man to live for jesus christ it takes a real woman of character to live for jesus christ it's not going to be easy to get to this altar and pray for some of you you're going to feel like you're swimming up the kenai in the wrong direction but the lord will help you when i give the invitation if you'll take one step towards this altar of consecration and when we pray together you'll find that the help of the lord will help you with each successive step god will always help you listen god will always help you when you try to do what's right god will always help you and put wind in your sails when you're trying to do what's right but the devil will always help you when you're trying to do what's wrong and many of you know it to be so but don't say amen because we don't want people to know about your past everybody jesus called he called publicly every person in the new testament that jesus called he called publicly every apostolic sermon in the bible they were called out publicly billy graham my hero used to say there's something about doing it publicly that seals it and makes it sure kind of like a wedding day for those of you that have been married you will never forget the day you stood before god family and friends and repeated those vows unto death do us part and said i did it do and you d did and now it's d d done i'm not asking you tonight to pray with me to become a protestant i'm not asking you tonight to pray with me to become a catholic or a baptist or presbyterian or a methodist or church of god or assemblies of god or crazy charismatic i'm asking you to follow jesus because if by god's grace you make it to heaven there's not going to be angels at the gates saying protestants over here to the right catholics over here to the left presbyterians we have a beautiful place back for you lutherans here all you pentecostals way back in the woods where you won't bother anybody jesus said i am the way i am the truth i am the life and nobody comes to the father except through me i close with these two things number one what happens to a believer when they die for all who have repented of sin and received jesus christ as lord and savior the bible tells us that when we die our spirits are immediately taken to heaven and escorted there by the angels of god that's what the bible teaches us god is oftentimes referred to in triune character as the trinity god the father god the son god the holy ghost when jesus christ was being baptized in the river jordan by john the baptist jesus was standing there in the river with john the baptist and the father spoke from heaven and said this is my son in whom i am well pleased and then a dove came and settled there as a representation of the holy spirit and even as god is in triune character genesis 1 26 said you were made in the image of god i was made in the image of god you weren't created for sin you were created for god you weren't created for addiction you weren't created for poverty you weren't created for curse you weren't created for sickness you weren't created for disease you were not created for failure you were created in the image of god and in that same triune nature we have mind body and spirit and the bible says this physical body one day like a tent is gonna come down americans spend untold billions of dollars trying to remain young but you can't stop it some of you think you have lord that was unnecessary and that was not found in the bible and i apologize it is appointed unto men and women wants to die and they don't make any lotion that's going to stop that save yourself a bold load of money from qvc and just accept the bible truth and grace someone say amen please ii corinthians 5 verse 6 so we are always confident even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the lord yet for we live by believing and not by seeing yes we are fully confident and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies for then we will be at home with the lord philippians chapter 1 and verse 23 i'm torn between two desires i long to go and to be with christ which would be far better for me the same apostle paul wrote in first thessalonians 4 and verse 13 and now dear brothers and sisters we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope for since we believe that jesus died and was raised to life again we also believe that when jesus returns god will bring back with him the believers who have died we tell you this directly from the lord we who are still living when the lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died for the lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of god first the christians who have died will rise from their graves then together with them we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up that's the rapture we will be caught up in the clouds to meet the lord in the air and then we will be with the lord forever so encourage one another with these words lastly what happens to an unbeliever when they die if your heart is right with god salvation is received as simple as abc and when i give the invitation in just a few moments you're being made right with god is as simple as abc a you have to admit your sin all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god not just you all of us nobody's looking down their long religious bent out of shape nose at you tonight i love you the lord loves you i've dedicated my entire life to reaching unreached people all over the world i've been in countries illegally i've gone into countries with forged paperwork i've been interrogated in muslim countries i've left places with stones flying as we left the remote villages my life has been threatened multiple times i have faced death on multiple occasions but what i do is not a job it's a calling and souls mean more to me than anything on this earth you mean more to me than anything on this earth i'm just old school in old-fashioned enough to believe that if god called me he's going to keep me i believe that wherever i travel the angels of the lord accompany me i believe that surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life i believe as long as i live holy and live true to the calling of the lord they haven't made anything that can take me out because i am a child of the most high god you can't kill a man with a mission what happens to an unbeliever when they die when an unbeliever dies their soul is also separated from their body but the scripture says they're sent immediately to a temporary holding place to await their final resurrection and judgment and eternal destiny prior to the crucifixion of christ his death his burial and his resurrection everyone was held in a place called hades or sheol hades is the greek sheol is the hebrew but the same temporary hell point one but it's not the final hell luke 16 22 the bible said finally the poor man died and was carried by the angels to be with abraham in paradise the rich man also died and was buried and his soul went to the place of the dead sheol in the original hades in the greek hebrews chapter 10 and verse 29 just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the son of god and have treated the blood of the covenant which made us holy as if it were common and unholy and have insulted and disdain the holy spirit who brings god's mercy to us the bible doesn't budge on this for those who reject jesus christ as savior death means irreversible everlasting judgment all who have rejected christ their souls will one day face the final wrath and judgment of god don't miss this five seconds after you die it's irreversible five seconds after you die your destiny is irrevocable it is not a prison there is no time off for good behavior there is no getting out there is no one who can write a letter to a president and forgive your transgression burning candles won't get you out giving money to a church won't get you out the bible said once you have rejected christ and five seconds after your last breath your eternal destiny has been sealed and is irreversible unbelievers are not instantly sent to hell but the bible says that the fate of death is reserved for a final judgment and that final judgment will take place at the end of the great tribulation for the unbelievers and revelation tells us that in that final judgment revelation 20 and 5 this is the first resurrection the rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended at the end of the millennium listen to it revelation 20 verse 11 i saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it and the earth and the sky fled from his presence but they found no place to hide i saw the dead both great and small standing before god's throne and the books were opened including the book of life and the dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books the sea gave up its dead and death in the grave gave up their dead and all and all were judged according to their deeds then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire this lake of fire is the second death and anyone whose name was not found recorded in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire last question don't miss it do you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that your name is written in the lamb's book of life because five seconds after you die and then in final judgment when your time comes and you stand before a holy god the bible said the lamb's book of life will be open and all whose names were not found recorded in that book will be thrown into the lake of fire which burns forever and forever hell's graphic in the bible hell's rated r in the bible jesus taught more on the subject of hell than he spoke on the subject of heaven do you know why because he didn't want you to go and people have often times said through the years i think of a radio interview where that famous morning talk show host with the highest rated program in that part of the state was trying to set me up but i was smarter than he was i knew where he was headed he said i hear that one night you're preaching on the love of god in this upcoming lost lamb crusade i said i am he said so you're telling me you believe god is a god of love i said i'm telling you that the bible says god is a god of love the bible said god is love he that loveth not knoweth not god for god is love but it says on thursday night you're preaching a message entitled the hard truth about hell i said yes i will be preaching thursday night on the hard truth about hell well how can in one night you preach on the love of god and then in another night tell people that that god of love would send them into hell that doesn't seem to make sense to me i said that's because you've never read your bible because if you had read your bible here's what you'd understand god's not going to send anybody to hell god's not going to send you to hell he's done everything in his power to make sure you don't go the most memorized verse in the bible for god so loved the world not the church not perfect people not christians an ungodly world for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that's jesus that whosoever believeth in him should not perish that word perish in the greek means face judgment for unrepented sin god said i don't want you to face judgment for unrepented sin you should not ii peter 3 and verse 9 god said i'm willing that none should perish same greek word god said i don't want anybody to face judgment because of unrepented sin but he said come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and i'll give you rest he's extended an invitation tonight the hand of god is literally out before you with a gift called salvation and as i said in the beginning of this message musicians would you come there's only two things you can do with it you can receive it or you can reject it but you can't go home neutral you will either go home as the friend of god or you will go home declaring yourself to be the enemy of god and i do not suggest the latter you will go home as the friend of god or you'll go home as the enemy of god and i do not suggest the letter what preachers got to preach what sermon are you waiting to hear who can make it any clearer i told you from the very beginning i love you and god loves you but i'm gonna say it one last time in case you were asleep what you do with jesus in eternity's morning five seconds after you die determines what he does with you and when we pray the sinner's prayer i'm not asking you to join a church tonight i promise you that's not what this is about i want you to be ready to meet the lord isn't it time somebody in your family broke the curse of sin isn't it time somebody in your family broke the curse of poverty isn't it time somebody in your family made a right decision and broke the curse of dysfunction violence criminality prison addiction divorce disease isn't it time somebody in your family said to hell with the devil i'm choosing jesus by praying the sinner's prayer with me at this old-fashioned altar listen everybody in this room that's a christian rejoices with you when you make the right choice nobody's going to point a finger they're going to applaud they're going to cheer you on because we've all been there before anyone who is a follower of christ has a admitted their sin be believed in jesus christ and c made a commitment to him by faith and that's what we're going to do in this altar i'm going to ask you to stand your feet with me please all across this sanctuary the bible says in john chapter 3 and verse 36 anyone who believes in god's son has eternal life but anyone who does not obey the son will never experience eternal life but will remain under god's angry judgment i've presented this in such a fashion that i believe even your youngest children could understand what's been said because i gave my heart to jesus christ when i was a six-year-old boy i've heard it said through the years what kind of commitment can a six-year-old boy make to jesus i made one that lasted my whole life [Music] some of you if you don't give your heart to jesus christ you've got brothers and sisters that are going to follow the path you're blazing straight to hell with you and you're not going to go to hell alone you're going to take family members with you because some of you have that kind of influence in your family you're respected you're looked up to you carry a certain amount of weight in your family some of your younger brothers or your younger sisters they admire you they may never tell you to your face but they mimic you they do what you do they party like you party they go where you go they seek the same entertainment values that you seek this is not just about you getting right with god this is about your entire family making it into heaven if you have a little sister or a little brother an older brother or an older sister in eternity's morning won't you be glad to know that even if it was a tough battle like trudging through three feet of fresh snow somebody had to cut the trail and you put on the snowshoes and no one had gone before you but you said i'll cut the trail i'll make it easier for my son to follow i'll make it easier for my daughter to follow i'll cut the trail i'll pay the price it's time the devil took his curse off of our family name and tonight at an old-fashioned altar of prayer god will keep his word to you he said all who call on the name of the lord shall be saved are you ready no push no pressure i'm gonna allow the holy spirit to do what he does best and that's right now to just speak to your heart will you just bow your head for a moment on this last night father i don't know if i'll never have another opportunity to preach in whistle alaska that's up to you jesus could come tonight father i've tried to make the gospel clear and i've never preached the message in 41 years that i felt like i did a good job but will you work in my frailty and where i've failed to make your love and your truth and your forgiveness clear will you come by the holy spirit and mop up my mess and make the gospel clear i feel a burden in my heart i know there are people here that you're speaking to i lay it in the hands of the holy spirit and i ask you through conviction and compassion draw people to prayer i pray for those that have the courage i ask you to allow them to be the first ones let their courage help somebody else that doesn't have that same courage i ask you right now to anoint and speak to every believer every christian make them sensitive to the people that might be sitting to their left or their right in front of them or in back of them may people find their way to an altar of conversion and they'll never be the same according to the holy bible in just a moment they're going to play a song of invitation and as the worship team does listen carefully by coming to this altar you're saying i receive jesus i don't reject him preacher by coming to this altar you're saying publicly i receive jesus by coming to this altar you're saying in childlike faith i'm willing to repent of my sin by coming to this altar you're saying in humility i'm gonna turn my back on sin and turn my heart to jesus one of the most beautiful scriptures in the bible written by paul in second corinthians 5 and verse 7 if anyone comes to christ they become a brand new creature old things pass away and all things become new when you come to this altar god will keep his eternal promise all of your past will pass away and your life will miraculously become brand new and the help of the lord will forever be in your boat paddling with you every mile of life's journey he'll never leave you destitute [Music] by coming to this altar you're saying i want to be a real christian preacher i know i got problems i know there's stuff i'm gonna have to work through but i'm gonna take the bible at its word and i'm gonna trust jesus to make me what i ought to be you're gonna have to come with your sin you're gonna have to come with your addiction you're going to have to come with the hell that you're going through sideways right now you don't straighten out your life and come to the lord you come to the lord and he'll straighten out your life you've got to bring your mess to the master and we're going to pray so those of you that have the courage as soon as they sing the first note of this song those of you that have the courage you're going to be the very first ones to come your courage will help somebody else some of you are coming for the very first time but if you're here tonight and you're backslidden and away from the lord you come home tonight you come home tonight hosea 14-4 i will love you freely and i will heal your backsliding god's a god of second chances but you've got to come home and get it right christian i'm going to ask you to be incredibly sensitive and as people are gathering if there's someone near you or someone you've invited or a family member or a co-worker if you're not sure if they've ever prayed that prayer of faith given their hearts to christ i want you to just turn to them not forcibly but with a christ-like spirit just turn to them and say i'll walk with you four words i'll walk with you and you can come with them and as god is speaking to your heart you come right now and then we're going to pray before dismiss come on are open wide forgiveness was bought with the precious blood of jesus christ [Music] [Applause] [Music] yes come on and give them a hand of appreciation as they come encourage them we're gonna pray with these that are here so proud of you and if you're not here and you need to be here come running or if you just had a hip surgery come carefully but come i don't want anyone to go away thinking that i was in a rush no rush i've actually gone past my time i'm going to ask you to pray a prayer out loud with me from your heart repeating a prayer with a preacher pastor an evangelist a priest a rabbi that's not what forgives you sin only god can forgive your sin the only reason i'm asking you to repeat a prayer with me is because i meet so many people in our lost lamb events that have never been to church don't know how to pray and it's all brand new to them and i don't want them to feel awkward or lost prayer is just talking to god from a sincere heart i know you're sincere because you never would have come to the altar if you weren't sincere that took courage but will you pray this prayer with me out loud from your heart and know that god hears your words he said all who call upon my name shall be saved do you know what all means in the original text all this is not russian roulette this doesn't work 20 of the time 100 of all who call upon the name of the lord shall be saved or the bible's a lie and it's not pray this with me say heavenly father tonight as i was listening to the bible you were speaking to me down deep in my heart i want to be a real christian the bible says all have sinned and fallen short of your glory tonight i admit my sin but i trust in your word [Music] i trust in your grace and in your mercy thank you for your only son jesus he died on the cross as the sinless lamb of god there he paid the price for all mankind sin i bow at the cross and tonight i repent i ask you lord jesus come into my heart i receive you i receive forgiveness i receive your cleansing purify my mind my body and my spirit make me holy in your eyes i receive salvation as the gift of god and i'll never be the same in jesus name tonight i'm saved tonight i'm healed tonight i'm delivered tonight i'm set free i am no longer the child of sin i am tonight the child of god and i'll never be the same in place of my weakness fill me with the holy spirit and give me your power tell them tell the folks what happened monday night evangelist tiff said that there was an anointing for divine healing in the atmosphere and he preached about that we have a better covenant a better promise and a better high priest and i was sitting there and i was thinking all these wonderful things i hear and i would say i used to wear glasses it was like dual prescriptions when i was nearsighted when i was farsighted and i was sitting there on my glasses and i thought what am i doing he preached about that he had blood clots in his lungs if god can restore him he can give me perfect vision and so i came to the front and we were praying and i laid hands on my eyes and i said thank you god that i receive your divine healing you restore my sight in jesus name and i went home and i was driving everything was still blurry no when nobody crashed so i went home everything was still blurry and i had a headache and i felt pressure behind my eyes and i said no god i thank you for healing me i thank you for healing me i thank you for healing me i went to sleep that night and i woke up the next morning and everything was clear without my glasses and i was like thank you god for healing me i took my glasses last night after holy ghost night in eagle river i took my glasses and i felt like the holy spirit was like you have to get rid of them otherwise it's a plan b and so i broke my glasses and i was like i'm never going back you restore me and i will never fall away come on i can see all of you and god is good isn't that awesome come on put your hands together for jesus right now before we close and i'm just going to take a moment to do this right now if you need a miracle in your physical body you need a miracle in your emotions you need a miracle in your life i want you to lift your hands to the heavens out in the parking lot and on 16 10 a.m you need a miracle healing right now i'm gonna pray god's gonna touch you father in your mighty name we stand before you and we believe and we proclaim your word that by your stripes we are healed so release your healing power now you are the lord our god that healeth thee genesis in chapter 15 release your healing power now cancer go disease go every infirmity all all disease lung disease heart disease command you in jesus name to go any kind of emotional trauma or disorder i pray now healed in jesus name those going through mental anguish and torment god a crown of thorns was placed upon your head as a picture that you took our torment you took our disease you took our sin and released the healing power of god to us we receive it come on say it we receive healing now in jesus name now give a crazy praise to god come on come on you can do a little bit better than that come on hey hey hey
