What Happened To Your Bronco? This Rescue Is Not What It Seems…

holy crap so we got a call for a Bronco with a bad fuel pump out here on some trail Insurrection or something I don't know there's some name somewhere between milt's Mile and slip lock yeah anyway we're gonna go get it and drag it back somewhere where they can put a fuel pump in it it's a little rainy today kind of cool but not windy so it's not too bad a little bumpy reminds me of Home Sweet Home oh [Music] I've actually never been on this Trail ever in my entire life I didn't even see a trail marker so I don't know what this is rated but we're gonna try it today oh my goodness it's the least PG-13 yes now we're right on track they're a little bit off Trail if this pins right like they went and tried something maybe he says he's in a sketchy spot okay hey Tom yeah guess what wheel drive we're in four-wheel drive two serious how long are you gonna do this oh until you get out and lock in the hubs until I order you to lock the hugs in okay well I'm not gonna do it till you stop all right seems fair enough could be a while this is a bumpy Trail man it's washed out it's been raining it's unpredictable I don't know what it is I don't know where I'm at still feel like we're have got out not for me I don't know how how hard this Trail is there could be a crazy obstacle up here ahead of us [Music] okay there's our guys okay we can see him here pull up here on this flat and stuff and get out figure out which one of these guys needs some help which one we're getting well good afternoon which one is it what is it it's a little sister a fuel pump just bits of dust so that's a bummer uh yeah so uh I don't know if you guys have met oh you probably have like Tom Tom yeah we met at uh Trail hero right oh yeah okay yeah so uh I don't know who jinxed me last night when we uh had you on our our live stream but uh first trail out and look what happens now I want to see your skills and how we're gonna get out of here oh there we go I like Brute Force so it's a it's not running only for a couple seconds yeah here let me I've had it off for a long time now at one point I disconnected the battery reconnected it and it ran and that's when I said well maybe never mind can you turn it all to the right while it's doing that let me try that so because that's going to be our biggest enemy is steering but I think we should winch it this little first little bit I'm trying to think where do you want to get it to like what are your plans here well so I've got a fuel pump coming okay but I've dropped the fuel tank on these before for other things we've done and it's you know I mean you got a big long skid plate got to drop the whole fuel tank and then that's where the fuel pump is on top of that so ideally I'd like to get it somewhere to a piece of concrete that's not out in the mud and sand but I guess uh I don't know that's that's where we're at right now right all right I already went up this side and there's no easy way up there yeah I think I think going down the way we did is doable it's not going to be pleasant but it's definitely doable we need the wrecker yeah yeah that's what I'm not working on right now I know if if I didn't call you you'd be getting it done right take a look at this now I don't know if we can get out to that but it's much flatter and smoother yeah it's over there though I think the way we came up isn't going to be bad so yeah there's like two scary spots at least I wore the right jacket yeah right so we did a live stream with these guys yesterday I'll uh pin a comment you can check it out I answered some questions obstacle right here with the winch and we're going to turn around hook up to it with the match recovery rope and we're gonna pull it out of here okay I'm gonna let me jump in there okay let me do a couple things here okay just give me a little bit all right all right man relax me and see if I can get a little bit more okay let's go back and forth like that for a second okay relax okay so let me hold it here for a second let me go let me go backwards holy crap man no wonder is that damaging the fender no no more than it probably already was I don't know what to do other than just let it go the direction it's going pull it up and let's just see keep coming in if I don't if I don't fight it yeah what does it do [Music] ah I am not strong enough oh man what's this tire doing nothing it's kind of relax me again Matt what do you think about me getting behind you up here going back and going backwards while you turn that wheel and get it in a good spot because I don't see how we're going to get over that without getting it this doesn't seem like that much of an obstacle over with those Windows that's when I this thing's what's it like up there was there bad obstacles that way you grab the rope and pull it out so I think if we get it over this I still think down is the best oh record yeah that's what we got on the heavy record they work great is there a tow mode for this once we get pulling it we don't want to be turning the transmission there is I've just never done it I'm not sure how okay we'll have to look it up here Tom I got a fun job for you there's no owner's manual in second okay I'm watching how to Plateau Bronco [Music] trying to find a safe way to flat tow this I'm not worried about it on the trail but once we get up to higher speeds off the trail I'm a little more concerned about it but we should probably be okay to the water tanks yeah and I get my trailer up to the water tank and then probably winch it all the way or something let's just go okay Tom we're scraping that Fender pretty good all right just keep going yeah I don't know about the steering on that man we're gonna fight it like crazy how do you feel about changing a pump out here I know I'm thinking about it I'm thinking about it this is really crossed up we didn't go through anything like that you you did that tight 180 in there around some rocks problem is when it gets crossed up you're waiting the front real hard and you won't steer like look at look at that that's what we just came through I didn't go through anything like this on purpose was there a part where I lifted a wheel we had a couple of climbs and some tight turns how how hard is this Trail up here it's pretty uh pretty gnarly and how hard is that trail up there because it gets not it's not too bad like not very far away right [Music] and it's a free writing area so technically we could just drive across there the easiest way would probably be ride up this over here too we got a road over here that's a road okay let's do that let's tow it up this bad idea to check out the top and just make sure all right this is going to be a workout any way you look at it it's incredible that they can handle that much pressure okay Tom I'm probably gonna do most of my communication with the horn and some of that's going to be no it'll be by accident go down here try to hit that and turn left around and get on that road maybe we zip tie that up there I don't care about this this liner I want to just make sure this harness is way out of the way hopefully we're out of it like we should be done with the worst time for some bump stops oh your sway bar is broke sway bar is not this it's just the link that might be why it's flexing so bad yep nice and slow [Music] thank you foreign get off that torque converter let's go so we got on a little bit too late we needed him to get on it and it was a little ponderous but we're gonna try it again [Music] that went good that took a lot of guts to half throttle a lot what are you talking about I wanted rocks on my windshield I didn't want rocks in your windshield I was out the road right there into it okay that's the road we want to be on so I'm going to come well I think the hardest part is over [Music] thank you well that that went a lot better after we got out of there it went a lot better than I thought it was gonna go I think that was a that was a good little route we found because going up or down those other two things all right who gets the shirt well I have a I have a sweater thank you you are welcome all right Matt's accusing me of half throttling it on the way out but I'm calling it just right throttling it was the right amount it did work but it made me nervous I was nervous we got him out we did thanks for watching a roll
