We Found This Truck At The Bottom Of Lake Powell

so we got a call for multiple vehicles stuck out to lone rock at lake powell it is father's day i left all the crew to do their father's day things and i took my family on this recovery with me i also called paul we're meeting him in canada we're heading out to lake powell it's like two and a half three hours away from our shop these guys are in trouble they've been there a couple days we're gonna go get them out oh you have to get the weather oh the weather is 74 degrees there's a breeze out there i bet it turns into a wind and i bet it turns warmer hopefully we get home in time for lobster dinner lobster dinner we're not gonna make it home in time for that no colin's driving because i don't want to i just don't want to next stop canap where we'll meet up with paul and then we will continue on looks like we're fueling up the fj oh so what have we got we've got a full-size truck stuck that's going to be pretty easy to get out and then a razor on the east side of the rocks [Music] instead of the crew i just realized these are loose i don't know why i may have never tightened them last time we worked on this it's the only thing they could figure yep it's fixed so i'm putting these tools back all right i'm back in the driver's seat jamie's fixing me a sandwich paul is right back there i mean we've got another what like hour and a half got an hour and a half drive i told paul we're not pushing it nobody's getting stuck we're just gonna go there get it out if we can't get it out well think of something else we're not burying either rig today my predictions they push it anyone else have any predictions [Music] there's lone rock right there look alive everybody it always makes me sad to come out here now because there's no water we're in the middle of a 10 or 11 year drought but the last four years have been like a really bad drought literally the water was up to here this was like this is where you launched we were riding jet skis out there like two years ago the razor they were able to get it out and that's the one i was concerned about because they said it was on the east side of lone rock and that just makes me nervous so i'm leaving i'm just taking a little bit of extra strap if we have to we'll send somebody back to get everything perfect before we drive in looks like it's going to be easier than we thought we love that we will be back in time for father's day dinner [Music] we've been out here before the lake hadn't been this low for this long and i dropped the more through the crust well this is a fine mess you've got nothing i mean it was a fun day but i'm not proud of how how it went down i literally rode my jet ski right here yep about 20 feet above your head yeah oh this ground is have plenty of time to dry out and firm up it's gonna take a little bit to get that one out that one's pretty good yeah this isn't far from where i went through it was here somewhere that i went in let's look at this people in their [Music] oh trash no water yeah it's soft right there in that one spot there's no gravel here there's some oh yeah [Music] i think you can connect that one out by yourself well i'm gonna need you in the driver's seat oh i'll do that yeah [Music] of these it's hard to tell we're in low range is it suctioned in i don't think you're gonna be able to steer them oh yeah yeah we're good to go okay one one bounce one bounce we got it i'm gonna say two oh yeah are you i'm gonna say two yeah okay [Music] well you proved me wrong once i saw it put it in drive and then all the wheels were free and like okay all right so what i did i did a rear dig to kind of anchor the back end then i did a front dig to anchor the front end that'll help me with uh just staying put while we're winching [Music] you ready hitch on there um let's see what we got here [Music] when did these trucks go in uh two days ago this one two days ago that one was yesterday well thanks for not making me okay jace let's get you in this truck [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] straight all right let's do this thing shirt sizes just start yelling them out there you are [Music] thank you medium you got one please meet him right there thank you all right paul how did that go perfect we're not stuck and they're not stuck anymore so that's good we came all this way a lot of people get stuck out here so what we're going to do is we're going to go make a pass up and down the beach and see if anybody needs our help before we head out of here so it's just it's just the right and polite thing to do [Music] i think we should probably go clear to the i think so clear to the road we got that going for us one two three they're all still there i like your new shackle design here yeah they're better because they way so much easier to use i think we'll have a nice gentle pull out of here i like that idea so when you're in the middle of two kinetic ropes like this it's the bumpiest place to be so we're getting a little bit of oscillation this way that truck's pretty heavy that's it's not doing any of this it's not helping at all yeah we're getting it out here we left our camera crew back there they're they're a quarter mile back there if you're wondering how we keep sand and dust out of our eyes and our mouths we don't no way corvette hey we got it unstuck we're gonna just keep going until we're up on totally known good solid ground and then we'll turn them loose [Music] i'll give him a rope this is yours really dude thank you i appreciate that awesome thank you oh yeah and while we were out we pulled out our own little car yeah we pulled out something too oh nice i couldn't help but overhear you admiring our new soft shaft yeah those things are sweet there you go happy father's day thank you you don't straight then you're in jail so i am out of breath and it does not help having i can't speak does not help having sand being thrown down your throat i know i think this hill's getting softer [Music] i need to remember to put it in four-wheel drive what do you think this has been a long day at lake powell i didn't think it was gonna take us this long are we gonna make it home for dinner we gotta hurry what are you thinking rhett it's hot sandy that decided he was gonna try and drive a van out so we'll see who thinks he's gonna make it i think he's got if he can make it to there i don't what rat i said i do good job dad [Music] [Music] it ain't gonna do it he was right it wasn't gonna do it i think we might just make it home for dinner there's some rocks over here to climb up really quick i'll follow okay oh not this obstacle what's this up that one right there oh that's easy i take my lawn mower open take your lawnmower up that oh yeah got some nice heavy tractor weights in the front [Music] this is straight right now maybe i do want out [Music] there's not a great chance you're gonna get carried off by a twister but it's not zero it's never zero okay well a big thanks to paul and the fab rats crew for coming out and helping us it was uh the day went way better because of that it's been a really great father's day so far i think the rest of the day is going to be even better because we're gonna get out of this sand and out of this wind i'm gonna be eating some father's day steak and lobster i don't know what do you got for me salmon and lobster oh salmon steak and lobster
