my accident fire [Music] [Music] laughs that is Fe hide the green look my name is Lucille a phony I am 22 years old from Australia and I am here in school Valley California with my dad for the western states 100 the predictions are the temperature benefit hottest in the history of us you can get dehydrated you can not be eating you can hurt yourself you can I mean that there's so many things that can go wrong and like if you get caught up in that thinking about it you're almost like written your story that that's what's gonna happen to you for me I have to learn 100 miles is you know I told him Coleman is and I've never run this far and it's just like this inconceivable that it seems crazy but I think that it's possible to enjoy a hundred miles and that's my goal yeah there's not a spectator sport trying I mean 100 miles and then you look going far my name is Ashley Baphomet I am better known as Lucy's dad I think everything can go wrong and like you you're playing for it to go wrong don't they began playing for yeah so yeah but God would be tough to see her doing it tough but yeah I know what the prize is at the end and I know what it means to her he's never seen me finish and that's gonna be really special for his main goal is to be at the track and watch me cross the finish line it's not just me running out there I might take the steps but I feel like so many people are part of it they score Needle water she's done some amazing things runs a hundred miles so fun a lot I'm sitting feels weird it's like I'm in glamour shots can I just stand then I can fidget better it's Kourtney do litter I run ultra marathons right now I am I'm a retired teacher I'm very excited to be a it's my first Western state so I'm gonna soak it all up I'm pumped to race tomorrow to be able to stop thinking and just move through move over the trails for a day what's a fire the gun and go [Music] quite nervous engine did you get everything ready last night yeah or this did you sleep something no just pretending yeah resident ready Hey well now I'm ready put some brains in here you take the brain Saturday yeah that's why I'm running out of your mom's nothing in my head it's intimate because there's not many runners that everyone is determine that they're gonna do it you know that everyone is gonna keep everything out there there's always somebody out there that's the amount to do that's wondering about you that loves [Applause] Bannos thumbs up who's next I'm running up the hill and you're just like this is it this is like the start of a very long day I I do everything that everyone told me not to do I went out hard the first person to be top of these Scotland that hasn't won and I got to the top and I was I feel hot but laughs a long way a high mite so excited and stuff like that and a little bit nervous now five minutes ahead of what she thought should be is a exciting that terrifying I was anxious to get it rolling I didn't feel super during those miles like so I felt tired and like I was tripping a lot and I'm wondering how the day was gonna go when it was starting already like that [Music] oh the nervous wreck back at the other one now calm down and I'll become nervous again as soon scans ran that : I know this waiting time things just started rolling like gears started turning food was going in grades and I was having a lot of fun on the trail so just kept moving Courtney's been curious I is he thinking Colton pasts it's just there hopefully he's not doing it too tough come in and it isn't too disheartened pony is a big hair of mine and I wouldn't want anyone else passing me but you can't help but be like oh dear like here's this super slippery slope but this is gonna be my day to being like I don't even know if I'm gonna complete today it's just that one yeah looking at that empty corner and working for someone to cover him today oh yeah [Music] [Applause] I get to see my dad again good [Music] yeah I can't get the green guy prick of a he'll just get a few things ready for a stop your stubbornness together hunger running an incredible race first time I like that they're gonna be prouder I caught me 25 minutes in front dad the stage I don't know it's a racing in someone else's history contest against yourself I was cooking inside taking ten steps and then kind of watching my feet like turn into six feet because I was just so dizzy my own expectation and other expectations I just felt really overwhelmed once the Sun went down I feel like it really shut everything else out it just simplified everything and I think it made me feel at ease [Music] I can't [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] where the prize giving him the Western sense 100 I might sleep through it I don't know it's still sinking in for sure and so I'm just I feel grateful to be a part of it winning or not winning it's great people always great energy super helpful and friendly so it's cool to be a part of a community like that now I sit these this community kind of like comes together on this day but like any other day of the week everyone just lives there with normal lives with these belt buckles in their wardrobes you know and I mean it doesn't take much when you you're hurting and you're vulnerable just to kind of give you a hug or put your head up for a high-five and yeah I will remember all those people [Music]
