wow that is interesting so this is how this package have their breakfast it is an absolute thanks and they just hook it on like their and hand it across the water [Music] [Music] morning oh yes oh it's still nice and warm good morning everybody welcome to Istanbul today before we kind of venture off on our big adventures through Turkey we thought we'd go and find some traditional food cutting off with some Street food perfect breakfast snack we've seen this everywhere it's caught at CIMMYT and you'll notice these little stands literally scattered all through Istanbul and it's like I guess it's like a round ring bread kind of like a bagel and it's to go to quick meal we grab these to grab a coffee and then you had to work that on this is our first time trying it so it's Timmy Cheers Cleo decided to go all out and got a chop oh you're straight into it okay what's what's the chocolate bun like as good it's so good it's like not too hard and not too soft it kind of looks like a pretzel is a difference in a pretzel maybe some oats or maybe some you know how to describe it but they're really really yummy especially if you're having it for breakfast I mean we got the street food version but if you get a breakfast place dipping us into Jam Oh Nutella - Jeremy Zoe the plane Zuber living in Turkey for a few days now and so far what we have tasted has been amazing so we thought today we're going to dedicate this date to food and try as many turkey street foods as we can but we need to have breakfast the only way to start a food - and here in Istanbul my favorite words and dedicating today [Music] thank you in breakfast is a banquet and there is like seeing you watch benefits more and you know well they still more to come but also one of the men amazing stuff that we love or know so this is how the Turkish have their breakfast it is an absolute beast they always have i plate the sort of cheeses they've got a bunch of dips always they tell us always they love their to tell her we've also got honey we've got jam we've got eggs got olives they always have to convert smarter and a big pile of bread it's free-flowing tea so for you can drink tea and it costs twenty-five lira per person there's like five dollars this we have ordered separately this is minimum it's my favorite breakfast dish here in Turkey it's like eggs and tomatoes and beans and cheese and it is so delicious and it comes in like a big hot pot where do you even start like seriously Wow any of the scenes eat breakfast fight like this to fall oh my goodness is like you learn Fresno okay this one fishing guys me the order is the minimum so Wow and obviously the Turks have a healthy breakfast like most of it consists of salads and eggs I mean there is a big pile in the Taylor over there ignore that it's pretty healthy cheers everyone may the best eater win you'll see how much we can get through we're getting through it breather we need a breather from our breakfast now the actual Turkish coffee machine how they're broken and unfortunately so you can show you that guys that we call it the next best thing this is primarily a winter based drink so actually Tsubaki the vestal serving this in the middle of syrup moment it's called celebra and this is made from orchids cannabis energy now smelling it it smells like a chai latte if I'm gonna like describe that and the really cool and unique thing about this because the orchids are in such low supply is illegal to export order so you're gonna have to try the streamer in Turkey I'm pretty happy we get to try this oh wow that's Christmas taste like a Christmas drink it's thick this is tonight on that and it warms you up I can see why they like they sell this on the street during winter I'm so full and it's just the start of the food tour you guys want to check it out sportvan caval team will leave all the names of the places that we visit and the food we try in the description below laughs I don't know how we're gonna get through the next stop that was the first time we've gone to a place where they didn't have any coffee available and we were thinking do we go to a place that has Turkish coffee but you can find Turkish coffee pretty much everywhere you go here in Istanbul so we thought we would go find a place that does amazing Turkish coffee and also amazing flat whites and lattes [Music] fancies Turkish coffee you've ever seen you ready oh well it's a tray just made for a Turkish coffee water and then the Turkish Delight we need to have a bucket of the Turkish Delight yes and I take a sip of you [Music] [Applause] ice cream here is when did you even order the I just asked everything I don't even know what flavors they are but the ice cream you're in Turkey it's super sticky so like how many layers is that know pistachio berry and vanilla I think chocolate I'm like that was crazy it's super stringing William the berries so yummy try it that's so good the very airy berries the best [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] now you guys are how much we love our pizza so for lunch we're gonna try turkey version of Pizza [Music] [Applause] [Music] all that looks gray I think I've actually ordered like a pizza that shaped one because I've seen them before and in my life that shape no no it's just out of the oven is cheese and mushroom we cut okay we've seen this everywhere it's the perfect drink to have with lunch apparently all the Turkish people keep saying to us it's called Iran and it's a very good trip I think that's the best description yes smells like Eureka wow that is interesting so it's like a salty yogurt drink so it's really really salty is a sweet at all okay I like to try you guys try this you see if I can explain it hang on it has no smell Wow it tastes like naturally very good with a bunch of salt in it alright let's try out he days it just looks like pizza I really I feel like it runs at a common thing we ordered the wrong thing I'm so sorry we actually came to a place EPA in the name but um tastes like good cheese mushroom pizza mm-hmm it's all about that bass like seriously that is such good if you like thick crust pizza all righty guys we've now come down to the bus first and we were at galata bridge now this place has a very very famous dish using years ago when the fishermen used to come and fish off the bridge just like they are today they used to catch the fish and then set up little grill stations and they'll grill their fish put it into bread and sell it as a fish sandwich now restaurants have decided to pick this dish up because it got so popular and now underneath the bridge there are a bunch of restaurants or selling this dish it's called the lac achmet which literally translates to fish bread or fish sandwich so we're going to go and try and find one today I'm sure it's gonna be quite easy to find one so it's literally a ship and they just cook it all over there and hand it across the water thank you oh this is all your fish Australia Australia so they make it all here prepared here on this boat and then they handed across to the salesman over there and you order it over there very cool guys we just had a part and they could really office or a bunch of fish they like to even go on the garbage but here it is the famous valley connector that can cost us as well as layoffs around $3 and then unless the gospel they recommended that we tried futures literally there's pickles in there so we've got fish let's do it good he's good Felicia is really really see she just a fish and this place is so busy we're lucky to get a seat good snack food good takeaway bird I'll have one of these and good sandwich I don't even know what to expect it's people juice literally from the jaw CQG oh my gosh they crazy Fugees this is la this is the spot pregnant ladies yeah yes if you're not cheese but that don't mean anything for it yes yeah sure if you're looking for the perfect afternoon snack and you've had too many cause Lemmy's this is another style you can go for says called Barret and it's a whole different range of pastries so we decided to get spinach and this was 10 lira which is the equivalent of $2 20 Australian all this I can kept piling it on they're like no you can stop this is too much it's like thin pastry stuffed with spinach or you can get cheese or you can get potato or you can get beat it's kind of what it looks like inside this really reminds me of go swimming and they're both amazing to have perfect for an afternoon snack if you just wanted to walk down the street and just eat something warm and something young I'd recommend this all righty so we did have our hipster Turkish coffee earlier today now we had the traditional way looking at on the call mistake the rookie mistake Gardi guards come to the spice bazaar pretty much like the Grand Bazaar but it's all spices on our way to the finals the kind of stopped which is desert this is a good place to get out we can sit down here and watch the spice markets and then eat a lot of dessert so you come to this little dessert house in the spice markets and they specialize in baklava and they had so many different flavors so I tried to choose the ones that I thought looks the best I've got a pistachio a walnut and then a different looking one with a walnut I don't know exactly what it's called I'm guessing it's silver klava but cleavers never tried that before we've tried it a few times but never here in Turkey so start your first okay warning very sweet okay oh my gosh that is the best offer I've ever had really yummy yeah what do you think of it Wow we've had it a few times it's like savory sweet yeah and then knots so what's this one it's sorry different to anything I've tried that like crispy and sweet it's not okay okay that one's the best it's like walnuts just wrapped in one layer pastry instead that was very good well that's very different like the other two are quite similar but it's no different in their own right but this one cuz the walnuts are so big not too sweet and an ogre palette which is nice and I love walnuts YUM all righty I think the guys enjoyed that video there was just so many Turkish food to try I think my favorite was the Christmas really good yours clear so we actually explained Turkey for a total like three weeks I think we're heading to the small towns the coastal villages so there's any food we missed make sure you leave a comment below because we really want to try as much as possible but if you are new around here make sure you hit that subscribe button videos are just beginning so many adventures coming away thanks so much for watching guys okay guys we were quickly back at our hotel room and I really wanted to show you a property day so this is it here kind of chopped up can you see how it goes into the corner bits at the end there this is how you meant to have a problem pide also at the grocery store getting some water and I realized that Turkey they don't like kids and their cats so I got myself a cat cat and while we had a little sneak peek it's gonna be a really good stay for the next few days then Nina Beach is like a five minute drive and they pick you up in Tesla's I have a secret what's your secret those were literally in the most romantic place we need to I mean just look in your background [Music] not bad
