life story i mean it kind of is i suppose i was born three months premature and i'm a triplet and so we were born early um so my sister was born first and she's uh like quadriplegic cerebral palsy um so like her hands don't really work very well and she's like fully wheelchair-bound and needs people to assist her in like daily living i'm the middle child and i'm right there in between and so like my legs i get really tired really quick standing or walking or and i have a hard time balancing so if you like nudge me on accident i'll just i'll just fall my brother um he's like the least disabled if you just looked at him you wouldn't know he's disabled uh he's an ale body is what we call him i guess what everyone else is here and he can walk just fine but he's had 13 brain surgeries and i mean even just last it was last week i mean he's had a few seizures last week i was just there when he has last one so it's pretty scary if you just look at someone who's in a wheelchair or they're disabled you're like oh i'm so sorry for you or whatever and i get that you wouldn't even understand like in the grocery store i'm telling you man it's like one time alone three times just in the same trip oh i'm really sorry for it i'm really sorry oh that that looks like it sucks it's like dude like i'm trying to get my groceries man like i'm kidding but it gets annoying it does it does and like i can understand it and there's a lot of stereotypes and a lot of things that people just don't understand um but you know i've always told everyone i've spoke with about my disability i'd rather be disabled than a body because i'm from a farm town in indiana of about 2 000 people if i wasn't disabled i probably wouldn't be playing collegiate wheelchair basketball on a scholarship okay next question i'll kind of speed through remember if let's say we just decided to bring you on as an intern and like now like oh not like right now but of course maybe tomorrow yeah ish i just say yeah yeah i mean it's i'm not i'm not kidding we were literally just sitting here at a 30-minute conversation about we need another person in the office and if it's something that's bare we need to start with the bare basics we need someone to answer my phone the instagram the instagram messages i can i could keep up with my phone if i didn't have to keep up with the emails and the instagram messages if someone could come in go through all those messages and filter if we could have someone come in and organize all that put it on a spreadsheet that'd be like a perfect start as you do this if you'll add for rose gold is ten thousand dollars that's the reason why i gave you a call first to see if we could just work something out on the olive oil it's gonna be hard on upgrade to rolls gold yet it's he has a deep sea for sale for like 10 7 okay no box no papers so i mean you seem like a really legitimate guy no bull i just want to know i mean is this watch only worth seven seventy five hundred dollars that i bought that i paid ten thousand for yeah i think if we were to buy that one do you know what year it was i think it was the last year they stopped making whatever year that was okay uh 16. so so our buy price on that would be 7 500 we'd probably try to sell it around if it was in excellent condition probably 9 grand so you paid 10 grand for it that's a little bit high but it's kind of you didn't get ripped off because you're you're paying for peace of mind to know that that watch is legit because you've gotten on craigslist and found it cheaper probably could you get on ebay and right now it's just what size is it what millimeter what what is it the model number the reference number the price that's not enough it's good but it's not enough i want you to start showing him how to go through here and read are they gonna be listing on rolex forms as well yeah i still don't know how this all works the rolex forms is it five a day you can add new watches five times you could add five you could okay you can post five times or bump you can you can only post or bump five times total a day so you can bump three and post two you can post five and you can it can only be five you can only be five i don't know you can have as many as you want well i mean like yeah you can only do five a day so today you can post five new watches tomorrow you can post five new watches the next day you can post five minute watches but you've got to pick that's why i want you to create a schedule actually that may be something for you mike we need to know which watches are already on rolex forums say there's 20 of them on there we've got 60 watches that means there's 40 not on there i want every watch on rolex forums before you start bumping okay so what all what all of y'all going over here i've taught them right now uh the process of exporting photos so in an ideal world i get here there's new watches that come in i take the photos of them i upload them to lightroom for aj or jet when they get here to go post it on the website followed by chrono followed by ebay trf all the major posting platforms okay cool the next most important thing is descriptions when a watch comes in you're going to get the box and everything we're just going to set it up there with you okay i want them to be able to go through and say look okay it comes with the inner box the outer box the hang tags the green hang tag the red hanging tag the white serial number hang tag the green leather pouch the instruction booklets the warranty card the warranty papers they need to know every part and what it's called bundle up some accessories okay you basically have to go through and write that description with each watch individually no more copy and paste and descriptions you copy and paste the the template but not the description because there's watches on our website that say in the heading they say watch only but in the description in the description it says comes with box papers it's super confusing with clients and it can actually it can cause us an issue you earn the right to keep that watch you don't have to sell it it is going to be hard and you'll never find it i'll never find one god this is the bad thing about this that's why i put everything in the business i put all the watches in the business to sell and then prices go berserk and i'm never gonna see that yeah that's a that's a sweet watch to hold on to that's like equivalent to my 277. it was a quarter i'm going to leave it to fate i'm going to let you call it i keep it if it is what you call and then we'll do maybe a beach boom we're going to do a beach on this on the other wall that's cool can't tell us we can't have a fish tank anymore yeah i mean when we move out we just need to paint the walls white again right that's all well this is a this is a stick-on mural it's like a big sticker how are the reviews any points about it peeling or falling off someone complain i feel bad for the person that complains for a fish mural wallpaper that's got good reviews which beach do you like all of them that's tricky you'll be tired enough you're going to walk into that wall yeah and make sure he's not on camera so i wanna reverse engineer like let's go two years from now youtube's successful the videos are successful we're building this crowd follow along on this vision so right now we're just on youtube we're captivating this audience people are tuning in every week to and they're like dying to watch our show you guys remember how pawn stars started nobody knew who these guys were it was just some pawn shop in vegas and they were like let's make a reality show out of this because no one's ever done it and now those guys don't even you never even see them in their store i went there one time and it's a line to get in they're not there you can shop but when it's time for them to film they kick everybody out and they film and that's it those guys make so much money off of just the filming they don't even work in the store anymore i don't want to get to that spot but it is going to get to a point where it could get to a point where we're literally in here selling watches to get content for whatever the end goal is what i don't like about what they did was the simple fact that i see these guys on tv and then i go to vegas and i'm like holy sh there's their actual pawn shop this is cool but then when you get in there they're nowhere to be found and you're not going to ever see them i don't want us to get to that point i want us to get to a point where people come from everywhere to come see us to see me to see you to see you to see marco and they want to buy from us and people will buy from us they'll pay for they'll pay more just because of what we put out there i think we're going to get bigger quicker on social media basically than what our money or our inventory supports let's go two years from now and i want to build the plan backwards two years from now we've got store and my vision is that big space over in the crescent on this side it's all a furniture store and there's a fourier out there with the courtyard you can eat this is all empty imagine that's our store and it's all glass you walk in you see our showroom our little lounge and then in the back there's like an actual studio where we film so we'll start incorporating another video so this is this is where we're getting to we've got the store we've got the big beautiful store we've got the showroom the youtube studio we've got all the inventory the step right before that is probably going to be the tv show for the tv show you've got merchandise you've got a lot of people who want to purchase stuff from you merchandise netflix i think you produce your own series you pay for all the production and then you sell it to them right so we can do we could aim for that this could be tv show slash netflix right before we get to netflix tv show we're gonna have to have video content where i think you'll come into play is so darby and i were talking about this right here this part's the expensive part to where it gets to a point where you can go the netflix route now depending on how we want to do it we could do one of two things if we take on an investor that can pay for this we can either produce enough content and quality content to sell it to netflix or our content just keeps getting better and better and better and better and we still keep it on youtube ultimately it's still going to do the same thing it's going to drive people to us which is going to make us more money which is ultimately we'll have to get a bigger store more inventory yadda yadda because people are going to want to come and shop and see us just because of who we are we can't do it in this little space we're right here right now we can keep taking on some investments and slowly build to this but if we had one person we could partner with and marco after that last insulting offer we got yeah i kind of gave up the idea of giving equity to anyone what's the context of this conversation so darby was telling me tell them what you were telling me like like how a whole crew comes together what all it takes so what i was saying if you wanted to up the content we would possibly need to get investors just for that reason just for the production yeah because if you want to pitch to netflix we're going to need people to fill more spots we're going to need like a b camera you can have someone like a script supervisor that literally jots down everything like that is worthy of putting in the edit so it cuts editing time you can get assistant editors that can get me a rough edit to where i can go in and do all the creative stuff um just build a crew man like you know it's reality so we don't really need we're just filming what you do so we don't need like a director i guess where my mind started turning this morning was we've been looking for invent we've been looking for investors to supply us with more inventory what if we flip-flopped it what if we took on an investor it would take a much smaller investment for us to really do a debt and inventory we need a million bucks how much do you think it would take to put in for a production crew for a year long like i'd have to i'd have to like come up with a proposal and like uh because you got to think day rates editors hourly rates usually so it's different rates for a different position how much would it cost to fill those positions for a year i mean we know what we're going to do we know we're going to need the people all four to five days a week right for the next 46 weeks right the idea now is instead of us focusing on investors for inventory maybe we start by getting an investor for this right here and then as the quality of this goes up the same person if it's feasible you fund us on this you also continue to put funds in for inventory the quality of the content gets better the exposure gets better the inventory slowly gets better and better it's a long term play but i i can see where it's going to go because it's going to have to go into bigger inventory bigger space studio all of this if you can see that goal then that's what i kind of want to however we structure it it'd be a short term maybe a loan on this or equity stake in this you can you can still do loans on the inventory but i would say bundle figure out a way where we bundle it all together you're you're ex you're investing x amount of dollars in increments over a period of time for equity but we'll turn the cameras off and we'll talk about it is it any chance i can get a wire off because i tried to send it on my computer and it limited me to 50 000 and then it didn't even send don't know if you follow those the watch trading academy no no i bought their course a long time ago um there's good information as far as buying and selling watches and where to familiarize yourself and how it goes about it but the way cal and pj do it is they teach you to buy special editions everything like these hublot unico 112 [ __ ] that nobody wants and they convince you that it's gonna go up in value because they're because the last known comp was like 26 000 they're offering it to you for 14. i mean they buy those watches at like seven to eight grand yeah nobody even knows who they are in the watch community really except i mean people know who they are because they scam a lot of their clients if they figure out you've got a little bit of money to spend they'll start pushing you into these things that have five ten fifteen thousand dollar margins and uh actually you can put this in there there's good information as far as the educational side getting to start yeah but if they can figure out you've got a little bit of money to spend they'll push you on these watches that no one knows about them they're special editions limited the last known comp was like 25 000 and they're offering it to you for 15. so they're teaching you that there's a 10 000 margin knowing damn good and well that they bought that watch at like 7 500 and you're going to be able you're going to sit on it for months and months and months and it makes sense to you because what they teach you is like if you can put 15 000 into a watch and wear it and sit on it for three months and then sell it for 2500 profit you know you can't make that money anywhere else yeah but that's stupid they're making a lot of money off of you yeah use it for the education but don't buy watches from them because they're yeah all right here you go still loose this actually feels a lot better and i think it's loose enough to where i like it i think that this is good right here you do like it so you know your card booklets are back here the hang tags the link is in there if anything take all the accessories and put them in a little baggie and put them in your safe the card that's gonna that's gonna add a thousand two thousand dollar value to that watch that link's worth about 500 bucks yeah so where are you from uh i'm from chicago but i live in michigan yeah well actually i flew in for this because once we've actually met someone and done some business things things are even more relaxed so all right guys that's the end of week six it is freezing cold here in dallas it's snowy it's icy i was out early this morning trying to find breakfast somewhere and everything's closed down you know here in texas we're used to extreme weather but it's crazy how as used to this as we are people still freak out and the whole town seems to shut down so i'm filming again at my house i haven't eaten yet because i can't find food but we got to get this done so wrapping up the week real quick every week our goal is 273 438 and 50 cents for the sales goal we try to hit a week this is the first week of the year we have not hit our goal and we came in at 146 900 which is 46 below but as i mentioned coming into february we kind of expected this it was going to slow down we've also not focused on sales this week we're trying to hire a couple new people which you saw earlier we were moving into office space we're trying to restructure get our taxes and everything in order from the last year so doing a lot more working on the business versus working in it this week and the numbers show that but it's okay we sold seven watches five went to retail two went to wholesale so not a big deal we we planned on it uh if things work out the way we implemented them this week in the next week you know in week eight we're going to triple those numbers i think so moving into some uh announcements so we are going to in the future i would like to start doing national meetups now when we go to la when we go to new york chicago once travel starts becoming a thing again i'd like to organize to meet up so i can actually meet some of you guys and because i get fans from all over the country so to track that what i thought would be a cool idea is i've created a landing page i'm going to link that below where you can go on you can put your name phone email and the city you reside in the most what i'm going to do is i'm going to compile a list of where i have groups of people i've got a group in chicago a group in la a group in nashville a group in miami and i want to compile all this together and let's i've been wearing it the last two days trying to grow an attachment to it aside from the fact that it's my birth year and i'll be honest and guys please don't shun me for this i just haven't gotten into it yet so i'm saying that to say that it's a gorgeous watch there's a lot of history here there's a lot there's a very special meaning to it for whatever reason it just doesn't hit me the way i feel like it should to justify keeping it if you are a collector out there and tiffany and co tiffany stamped dials are something you're interested in if the year 88 has any significant meaning to it or to you reach out to me i i'm gonna get rid of this watch i'm gonna sell it but i'm gonna make sure that this actually goes to a true collector's hands and that's what i want i want i want to
