leaving at 3 45 now or three right yeah all right i got you the national weather service in melbourne has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern seminole county in east central florida central orange county and east central florida now to the weather parts of florida are getting pounded for a second straight day a severe thunderstorm bringing large hail just outside of orlando today much of the state dealing with powerful storms packing high winds panama city beach is still cleaning up from the tornado that left him hello dude i got off the flight this is stupid what happened well same thing christian's flight got delayed they got stuck on the tarmac same thing brought you back we haven't gone out yet i'm not going to sit on the plane they went out on the tarmac for over an hour and brought him back and said that the flight was canceled so now he's in line and they're saying that all flights in florida is are banned right now because of this storm so yeah that storm's really bad here dude dude i've tried booking this ticket five times now and the prices keep going up it's like twelve hundred dollars for a round trip what's the point of booking if everybody's going to do the same thing today no it's for time no it's for tomorrow yeah for tomorrow but every time oh there it goes finally i guess you're coming in the morning yeah the the best i've got now is god happens on this one this is not the ideal situation so i'm basically flying straight in dropping my stuff and then headed right to iwjg luckily i booked a hotel at the same hotel as the that where the convention is being held so maybe it won't be too big of an issue but let's try this again oh my gosh so once again another flight canceled this time it's because a plane's broken so it's almost like feel like is super undervalued based on the fact of what the platinum daytona is trading at with it would be and these are not actually baguettes these are bigger if you look at the sapphire version of this the diamonds are smaller these are square cuts see it they're not they're they're bigger diamonds than that of a sapphire it's a sapphire counterpart what's the uh original retail on this oh i don't know dude it's a 105 000 watch today because mine is nls with papers but the sapphire ones pre-owned anywhere from 70 to 85. original case back sticker yeah so factory in os for 105. it's nls you been in watches well my my story's a bit different um pretty much i've i've always been into watches i'm a little kid it's like the weirdest thing a little bit past the toddler stage i just been obsessed with like cars and watches it's just you know my dad and my uncle being cuban they they like watches i don't know what it is about cuban people we like watches somewhere along the line there my dad started doing better in business he started buying some watches nothing crazy explore you know white dial like submariner here and there very spread out but i've always been obsessed with watches and freak um as things get going i've done many different things as careers throughout my life i restored i specialize in restoring chevy's professionally from 1955 up through 64. i did that for almost eight years somewhere along the line there i took a crazy turn and i i hooked up with this one guy that was like bro come on board and come work with me how old were you um i would say i was 25 [Music] and what he was doing was he was working in insurance and uh it was really hard to get this certain license so i i got in there i got the license and then now i started like really making some money you know like went to the next level what happens is that i had so much free time with that line of work that i was always buying myself watches or buying watches for my friends and trading and flipping and trading and since i'd always been obsessed with watchers like you since you were young i just absorbed so much part of that has to do with that before we got into watches me and my dad collected a lot of exotic collector firearms nice like what for example old quotes pulse co pythons um you know all that type of stuff 1911's all special stuff so we would do a lot of like that we would do a lot of pawn shop hunting and then like he'd be negotiating and hand it to me and i look at it oh it's been refinished this is not i was the one that knew everything what was going on with it so i feel like i always adapted that to watches i guess i started getting some kind of like a fame in the sibo building because the weirdest happened in like one month three people offered me jobs in the sibo building in one week yeah one of them being carlos and then two of my really good friends that don't even talk to each other both of them came up to me in the same week and said bro you know you should really think about selling watches professionally right and i was like man that's freaking weird two of my good friends told me that and one of them was a guy that i ended up then opening a company with to do insurance and i said man this is weird i remember i went and i talked to my dad i said you know three people offered me jobs at that time the legislation was very weird in tallahassee for the licensing so i thought any day they were going to pool our licenses because the lobbyist insurance lobby so long term i felt like jewelry was going to be better for me and he goes to who you're going to go with and i said well these two guys i don't really want to go with luke carlos i i got good energy with him and he's starting from zero so we would both be starting and i went with carlos and the rest is history and i actually took a pay cut i went from making good money you know i just saved some money stuff like that and i just started doing watches and then here we are it's the strangest thing you know how it happens absolutely all right so day one was okay uh the show's smaller than normal i think several dealers didn't make it in because of the storms that came in same reason i got delayed so anyway we bought a couple watches we met roman met eric hung out went and had lunch uh now eric's meeting up with us we're going to go to one of his favorite spots have some dinner and then possibly go meet up with a bunch of the other dealers that are in town so we'll see damn looks even better in person than on youtube so what's this place called it's called novico novico yeah kind of food it's good man it's it's like right now everything in miami is like a fusion of everything so but it's mostly like let's say uh japanese mixed with uh they even got dog they got some meats a little bit of everything but it's all really good it's all like tapas so you got to order like a bunch of stuff for everybody yeah cool tell me about this this is my baby white that's what we almost bought a white one yeah i like white and then and then when the i i told him we committed to a white one and then like right when i was about to sign the paperwork he was like wait is it a v10 or a b10 plus and it was a v10 he's like nah i'll send it back so the only other option for the v10 plus was this same color it's like red yeah i like it i was like damn actually i like it i'll leave it like that you know so why not [Music] dude when i go to noble i eat before i go seriously i have a burger before that way i can get like a piece of this a piece of this a piece is the white gold i think your white gold one will be a better hit the new one does it does the new white gold meteorite have black subdials yeah yeah so that that'll be the only way to tell the difference right so i think let's see that takes away it takes away more of the meteorite so i think yours i think you actually keep yours because it'll make the value if you want that solid meteorite you want a day i buy it but you want a brown dial it's the brown dial i have it in gold i have it in white okay but the brown champagne kind of root beer dial on the stainless okay you can find them sometimes on the secondary market but somebody with your wrist cut it down so tight that it will never fit my wrist okay well why don't why not just find the uh find the watch and then find a strap you can't find the strap no you can't only have the breitling strap if you buy it from oem so you want me to find an impossible to find breitling well if anybody could do it anthony i wasn't saying i couldn't do that just making sure we know what's going on i'm trying but i know you're gonna get further in a lot quicker time did they maybe take this watch and take the bracelet off because if they what you're doing i would i'd gladly take off the rubber strap on this one replace it and take the brace and put it on that one because in it the bracelet's worth more i know they sold them with the rubber i i guess i was saying that to say did they make it factory on the rubber strap okay okay for sure at one point in time but again it's a discontinued watch right hey can you get this watch on the factory black rubber strap without the breitling name down the side i put that out to my guy that gets breitling you're under representation of breitling in years i know it's a little below you well it's no it's not they're just harder to sell once i have another two or three million dollars in my bank account that i can stock stuff with my idea is to have a stock of breitling panerai tag aluminum cases well for my wedding party i made these little trunks that held six or seven watches and of course you know sandblasted with breitling logos and it's got the rivets like an old airplane has and it's just it's just it's premium i could shrink that thing down i don't even want to make money on it you know i mean i don't even crap i'll pass through it it's just i thought it would be so cool i've always wanted to put an oem style watch box together for somebody and i could even just make one for you out of fun and bring it up and let you look at it i have a request i need a one to one box made like a big present with alcantara interior that's like custom for that watch oh for mine okay there you go if you can make that it's a one-off it needs to be like an extra large that doesn't matter we're a complete custom case company i'd want the logo glossy the rest of the box just matte black open it up so it just has a logo on the outside you open it up on the inside it says gentleman timepieces i want it rolex style okay so but larger so his box i envisioned all solid black well this is think about for our boxes like oh our daily boxes yeah to give to customers replicate this i would replicate this our logo right here gentleman time pieces on the inside like this in cursive actually that'd be that's what i would be perfect yeah i will pay you to have me a prototype in two weeks i don't i don't even know if i mean come on come on [Music] hey guys so something interesting came in today a client asked me to check out his sub and we weren't sure just based on pictures if it was good or not because a lot of these older subs it's not uncommon for them to have replaced dials or replaced inserts with aftermarket parts so i didn't want to look at the dial and the hands and the bezel and say oh it looks fake um just because of the parts again because these could have been replaced for who knows why but so to go to check this watch out um i had him ship it in because i was like i want to be absolutely sure what i'm looking at so when the watch came in it was indeed fake so this is a good opportunity to show you guys exactly what's going on with this watch so here i have a five digit one six six one three and i know this watch is good so we're gonna use this watch to show you guys some differences and some key notes when you're looking at these older subs or just any subs in general because these these are the most faked watches the submariner like i said earlier guys the first thing that caught my attention when the client sent me this watch um what's it photos of this watch was the bezel insert dial hands look just a little funky to me and i said i don't like it and he said well what do we do i said well ship it to me and let me take a look at it let me let's let's dive deep into the watch maybe you know maybe they franken the watch together and everything else is okay maybe the bracelet's okay so again i'm gonna go over this watch and show you why nothing is okay with this watch yet it does look really good to an untrained eye most people would not look for the things that i see and today i'm going to show you why okay so guys i want to show you something big that's the biggest difference first thing that caught my attention which immediately identified the cases not authentic is you want to look here and notice that this is not anywhere near what this is so the reason being is this is laser engraved by a machine rolex will never ever ever laser engrave anything onto their cases they are indeed engraved by machinery if you can notice here this is actually cut into the metal this is engraved as opposed to laser etched so i mean if i if we had a loop that could capture the finer details on this case you would notice this is just a bunch of very very very small little dots that were etched into this case okay so guys this is machine engraved this is laser engraved and again the biggest tell is obviously rolex doesn't do that they do not laser engrave anything so next thing we're going to look at the movements first thing you want to look for when you open the back of a rolex movement is you want to check the balance the balance on a rolex will always be free sprung it is not regulated by multiple arms which you know which is the traditional way on cheaper movements this is a totally free swung balance and it's the you know it's the best method for time keeping for rolex uh so here's which leads me into this watch if you notice this has two arms if you can see one coming out this way and there's one coming out that way what that is it's not a free sprung balance this is a chinese movement that they've decorated to look like a rolex 3135 there's a lot of tells and craftsmanship there's a lot of tells and detail and obviously the biggest red flag is that movement is not free sprung so that big red flag if you ever look into a watch because these movements do plug and play into a rolex case so you cannot always you know check one area of a watch to be certain that it's good or not because movements can be swapped out and it happens a lot obviously another thing to look at are the case backs the case backs are pretty close but there are some differences that i can see you know just overall under a loop the engravings on this are a little bit sharper these are a little more bubbly looking they're not they're not as crisp and legible as this one thing you want to pay attention to guys when you're taking off a rolex band and you're looking at the quality of the etching here especially when they're at the end link is you want to look for how they did it if it looks poorly laser etched and the numbers look blobby they don't look crisp chances are it's an aftermarket band rolex is very crisp on everything they do and one thing to take note here is if you look here on this watch these these bottom portion of this is very thin it's almost like a razor edge that's not at all how rolex would do it this top and bottom would be nice and even for a perfect fit this this is going to be subjectable later on to all kinds of wear and tear issues and you know if you compare it to this you'll see what i'm talking about it's much thicker it's more a little bit more proportional to the top and bottom and you can't see it on camera but these engravings here are just about perfect they're very crisp very legible the crowns are very nice when you pop the band and you look inside there just look at that crown they're going to be very nice here's another thing i want to show you guys so on these older clasps on five-digit rolex's they'll be stamped with a date code they'll have a a reference to the material so let's say steal an ox and then they'll have the bracelet code number in this case this is a solid ink bracelet so it would be stamped 93 250. this being a two-tone it'll be stamped 92-53 the three is the indicator on the two tone um so one thing i wanted to point out here is when roll when these guys that fake this watch and put the stampings here the date code the steel and aux and the bracelet code they use the same machine here's something i noticed with rolex's techniques when it comes to engravings so if you notice on the steelanox steel and aux on these five-digit subs will always be the same it'll have the same thicker bolder print the one above and below it will actually be a much finer printing and you'll notice that it'll be really hard to see with the naked eye but it's there so again this date code and reference are perfectly matched to the two-tone reference of the band so you can always go online and look up these references in case you have an older watch you want to be sure it's good two tones would be 93 253 on the steels would be 93 150 on fakes i see it all the time they always use the same reference it'll be 93 250 but it'll be a two-tone or solid gold bracelet which would not be correct it would either be an italian band or fake band or just altogether chinese of course on these older subs these links are going to be always hollow in the middle it's hard to see on camera but if you look between these links you'll see space they won't be a solid link like these newer subs this one they got it correct it is a hollow link but again this is a pretty elaborate fake one of the better fakes i've seen so biggest regret in the watch business and in life um biggest regret in my business is i didn't keep very detailed spreadsheets or notes early on if i had i tell people now young watch dealers that are trying to get up and coming in the business even my cell staff i tell them to start a spreadsheet and track all of your clients names phone numbers emails what they do for a living what their annual income is what kind of watches they have in their collection what kind of watches they eventually would like to get if i had just gotten that simple data early on at this point three years later i'd have the most extensive book of business i could ever do client calls me up and says hey i want to buy this watch i don't even have to worry about dealers or wholesale i go into my net my spreadsheets i type in i pull up all the collections of people find out who all has that watch and call them up see if they want to sell it on the other on the flip side of that someone offers me a watch same thing i go on my spreadsheets and i see who was potentially looking to buy one of these biggest regret in life uh it's a sensitive subject but i would say you know i lost my twin brother to a motorcycle wreck seven years ago in early adulthood i got out you know up up until we graduated high school my twin brother and i were extremely close and we did everything together once i became an adult and got out on my own i kind of like went my separate way so he was still part of my life but not as much as i would have liked to be obviously nobody counts on a death happening so that would probably be it uh next question have i ever dropped a watch yes multiple times and i ding them all the time it's mostly my personal stuff i i don't know what it is especially gold watches as soon as i buy a gold watch and i keep it i i ding it on the way out the door on purpose oh yeah um never eat this is funny never eat nick and sam's again or fire dylan this is really funny because i'll see you guys later because dylan is standing right there while we do this dylan what do you think the answer to that is i'll just keep it trucking now that is a tough decision because i do love nick and sam's but dylan is the first employee he's number three in the company besides marco and myself dylan was our first actual employee so i think i would be willing to give up nick and sam's to keep dylan on he's an intricate part of our business and he runs a lot of the stuff he's the only person i trust he's the only person besides marco that had and myself that has the code to my safe and our alarms so don't forget that dylan how much has making youtube videos affected your company in terms of sales well it's been i mean absolutely amazing most of you guys that have been following for a long time already know that i was big on social media had a massive instagram following uh before youtube before the tick tock video so it was really just a chain of events i had this massive instagram account i had multiple facebook groups i was in every watch platform every sales platform before all that then we had a great little spurt of business due to daniel mac's tick tock video that boosted the instagram account and also we had just recently started the uh youtube channel about a month before that video came out once we gave away the rolex to daniel mack we put a video on youtube about it that video to this day i still get at least one text message uh instagram message or phone call about about us giving him that watch people see that video they see the tick tock video he pushes them to our youtube they watch my story they watch more stuff now what we've got going on is we're doing this day in the life series that actually brings you into our business and you know that is and then my instagram account got deleted youtube is the driving factor for business for us right now so i would say where instagram used to be 90 of our business and revenue now it's youtube but i would say it's even more we're getting people call us texas email us every day from the from all over the world just from seeing the youtube channel people that weren't even interested in watches before got the recommendation on youtube started watching our channel you know fell in love with the business fell in love with our team and now they're looking to do business with us so youtube's an intricate part of the business now all right one more question best question to end on uh what are your life goals for the next five years five years out i want to for sure move actually by the by this year i want to move us into a bigger space i want to have my business and my team fully automated to where i can step away from a month and the business runs fine i want to be focused on growing the business and working on the business versus in it i'd like to buy a big goal i'm going to buy a house or a vacation property in lake tahoe i want to travel to 15 or 20 countries with my kid in five years i want to be set on a plan you know i'd like to be in a relationship maybe married start a family by then who knows i don't know just i'm taking it a day at a time that's it for today guys i hope y'all enjoyed guys it is the end of week 15 and it was an eventful week we are glad y'all got to come see what it's really like behind the scenes at a dealer show also going to meet uh eric at his new spot uh we'll get into that but let's jump right into the numbers really quick if you've been following us consistently you know that every week we have a sales goal we try to hit monday through friday that which keeps us on track to our 35 million dollar goal for the year in quarter two or season two our weekly sales goal is 538 462 this week we came in 15 shy of that at 456 250 it was 21 watches 19 of which went to retail customers and two to wholesale now even though our sales numbers were lower our profits getting higher the better margins on some stuff uh profit for the week fifty nine thousand two hundred and thirty seven dollars and fifty cents so not a bad week pretty good week i guess we can afford to be making sams this week yeah a couple times uh that's all for the numbers now we're starting to see even though our we're under our goal you're starting to see sales increase which is what i thought would happen about mid-april or so so we'll see what may brings us and what the rest of this month uh is going to do it's going to be an interesting summer for sure i bet the guys uh oh oh i told i may have forgot to tell you i bet the guys this morning at breakfast uh they couldn't get a million in sales you told me oh i did yeah and we're gonna buy them they can say i said let's do it taking the whole taking the whole team to nick and sam's if we can get a million dollars anytime we can challenge these guys i'm all for it so we're gonna do a dinner at my favorite spot if we get it done we're probably still gonna do the dinner they don't know that but as you know my favorite spot is mcdonald's asked for a youtube channel [Laughter] oh yeah my favorite that's what contributes to your 30 body fat 40 now since this vacation all right jumping into some announcements bad this is made out of skulls i know i reach out to the guy to see if he can make us some watch like a rolex and a paddock and an ap he needs to make us a rm with the skull in it if you're watching i know you are and you can make the richard mill with the skull in it that would be insane that would and if you make it like this piece that that would put you on the mat this will put you on the map gift i can't wait to dive into this i haven't had time recently because of all the traveling but i'm one as soon as i relax i'm popping this open and i'll be thinking of you so i appreciate that the knives awesome yes very nice i love knives appreciate this i've been getting into knife collecting a lot more yeah same so these are kind of cool and they're big yeah i need we need big for these packages we've been getting the the timepiece cleaning cloths or cleaning kits timepiece care kits these things are awesome i'm actually going to reach out to you guys and see if we can't do some kind of uh package deal i'm thinking about putting these in all the watches that we sell we should add a certain with them yes all right because these are these are a perfect little thing to have in your bag just if you're traveling absolutely so we're going to see we should do including with every watch though that's what i was thinking about doing yeah um shout outs first off got a shout out my boys neil and sean thanks for hooking it up yes sir obsessed with the watch first rm you know what i understood it i've always appreciated it but until you actually own one of these things and you absolutely you wear it for a few days and you read up about it and you understand what goes into these and the collaborations and the ambassadorships that they do it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend 200 000 plus on a watch but i think they just i mean they're so limited it doesn't yeah they're not going down anytime soon it definitely opened a can of worms for me because now i'm all about richard mille i'll have one one day i'm gonna keep keep this one for at least a few weeks and then when i sell it i'm gonna roll that money into another one and roll into another one and then to another one to get to my grill watch which is this bad boy the 1104 manchini and carbon tpt that's but unfortunately it's expensive right now what is it like 600 it's okay it's okay bye christmas all watch that don't realize how fast it really moves like that's without that instagram sell you know on a busy monday or a busy friday that's what it looks like in this office is just boom boom boom trying to grow the youtube channel guys it's growing at a tremendous pace anywhere from 400 to 1100 subscribers a day on average that number is inching up slowly uh every single day by the end of this season quarter whatever you want to call it we're hoping to be at 250 000 subscribers so guys we get there we will get there if you keep sharing on social media keep commenting keep liking uh help us bump it in the algorithm thank you for all the support we really enjoy all that's continued support guys really appreciate it and i have one thing to add yes i'll be doing a q a every week as well on my personal page and nicolini 300 so if you guys go there send me uh send me questions he's going to show me the behind the scenes stuff how to actually get it done because i'm not as uh social media savvy as this guy so he's gonna coach me through it so uh bear with me on the first one guys but we'll get it done it'll be fun and we'll you know i'll show you how to do it you just put that little box there you put that little box there and they throw in a question okay do that the day before it goes into the next collection inbox yeah and then you just screenshot them all and save them to your computer and just go through and answer all the ones you like all right uh i put i put all of our personal instagrams the business instagram accounts down there so uh in the description so you can follow each of us oh consignment go check out the website i've got new consign i've got a new consignment page up that has the breakdown of the percentages that we charge for the price of the watch that you're trying to sell we are focusing more on consignment versus buying so it nets you the client more money for your watch we are the most competitive and we aren't my prices that i've uh come up with are the most competitive of any consignment shop out there we act way faster than they do you don't it's not going to be any of this you send your watch in and four or five days later it pops up on the website and then when it sells we cut you a check in a month no you get your watch into us it's up on the website in 24 hours once it sells you get paid in 24 hours very very simple and it's the best rates out there so guys another thing is we're going to be creating a facebook group for you guys to join to be part of our team even more so that allows you to see behind the scenes stuff that we're not doing on the channel also it's going to give you guys first crack at wholesale deals and that's going to be really good we'll also provide ways to get hats and so forth other merchandise we'll be doing authentication appraisals for you guys we'll also we'll be doing a service where we middle man your deals if you don't buy from us that's fine but if you have a buddy across the country that's selling you something you just want to be absolutely sure the watch is correct send it to me i'll oversee everything and there will be a small fee behind that and we'll discuss that further more when the uh when the page goes live let's do it in the next video in the next video we'll talk about it and a lot more detail we're still trying to work out exactly how it's all going to work it's going to be a paid group it's going to be it's going to be to get you guys involved but it's going to be a very tight knit very closely monitored group so we'll pay attention to the next
