then he sent me a text message back he's like well then we'll just have to do it in the morning and i told him i've got a flight back i can i have stuff going on now he won't answer my call dude i'm everything it does it can you can do you can automate it to do that then i came up with something else you're gonna love this rather than us pulling inventory off and trying to wholesale it after four or five days you could drop a facebook pixel on there that tracks it that tracks everyone that visits your site and you can set up this pixel to automatically retarget people so let's say we put a watch on our website today five days later it needs to go to wholesale right rather than wholesaling it we use a facebook pixel to retarget people that have looked at this on our website for more than if it's a watch if it's a watch in a box so they have the setups where theoretically they have the eye to just sit there and click they will do the initial editing they'll send it off to freelancers overnight it comes back to us and we can photograph 500 items a day if we need to right wow that's good my background is i t computer science and engineering so like i actually understand all this stuff so when when my guys come in and set systems up and stuff they can't really overcharge me because i know what they're talking about adrian's office this is his brother in-house attorney who is a they start laying all the stuff out it gets qaed before it goes out especially the little stuff they check invoice against stock numbers because everything everything we have is tagged right so so like every piece of jewelry will have a tag they're all color coded so they're they're done they're stored a certain way so they know to make sure because sometimes you can by mistake you can send out an order of an item that's five thousand dollars but the item is actually 500 or vice versa and you make mistakes and they cost money and when stuff comes in believe it or not you know what my technology for receiving is whatsapp what they do is they literally take a whatsapp picture and say hey this is what came in so that all the sales people can be like okay this is mine bring this to me it'll bring this to me it's very very intricate well thought out it used to look a lot prettier before we started selling the cheaper merchandise that i realized nobody really comes in here belle and that's that's what everyone wants to trade all their little stuff in for a rolex right we're going to start going on once a week and taking people's calls taking their deals hey call me in tell me the first person that came out there and said guys come into our shop and i will literally people a lot of dealers think that if i go out there online on air and say i will pay five thousand for your watch and i'm going to give it up for seven thousand dollars people are like oh well now this client knows that you're gonna make seven thousand dollars off this or you're gonna sell it for that he's gonna go no he's not he doesn't he doesn't have this he doesn't so i have clients that send me in lists right and my whole stick is this and i've been using this for years yeah somebody calls me a client called me up the other day has three million dollar collection he's like i have too many watches i want to sell off sends me a list of 30 watches right i tell him i'm gonna give you three prices he's like what's that he's like i'm gonna give you a buy price i'm gonna give you a wholesale price and i'm gonna give you a retail price range where this thing can sell for i tell them retail price rates keep in mind fees credit card fees platform fees whatever it might be right right trade is blah blah blah blah the buy price is what i'm writing your check you come in here you get a check the wholesale price is it equals consignment price he's like well why is that i'm like well it's very simple think about it if i know that i can buy for this wholesale for this and retail for this based on my experience theoretically you can consign this stuff at a wholesale price to me therefore i sell at retail make my margins and you make slightly more just takes time right right so that's all i do all day long and i'm very transparent and i was like hey here's a list of 30 watches here's all the prices that allows them to go and shop it and sometimes they do which is okay i don't know right but i also tell them things like look especially guys that get the paddocks and the rolexes it's sensitive right so they're like well i can get more money on 47th street i said go ahead take your paddock take it to 47th street you'll be in the window the next day and all over instagram and you will never have a relationship with your paddock dealer right if you come to me you're not going to get fraud you're going to get paid right away it's a done deal right like my policy is here's a label watch comes in 24 hours later you get a wire i just want to check the watch if it's brand new i'll wire right away the people that are going to go far is like you said pick out my biggest competition i want to go take them today roman so what's your favorite part of the business and what's your least favorite part of business i'm going to say from the business business perspective is going to be the buy yeah from like human perspectives more or less it's going to be the people that i meet yeah at the end of the day i've always found that you always make a lot of new friends in this business here's the thing is that no matter how well off you are odds are 90 of the time you're you're catering to people that are more well off than you financially right and i don't look at it from a money perspective i'm looking at from an interest perspective some of the people that i've met on the 100 list so many people have met a multi-billionaire multi-millionaires celebrities stars things of that nature and they all have a story and that's what i love from the human factor is the fact that i get to interact with people that this business awarded me the opportunity to interact with people and never know what he would do by sitting in a cubicle so what time yeah yeah of course think about the least favorite part there's there's gotta be some ass when you just just makes you grind your teeth i mean like creating labels we yeah so becoming desensitized right now it's like the height the height the height the height and i also see people go after things based on what they saw on social media the social media is a great influence on the watch industry right now where oftentimes they will overlook a time a timepiece that's so unbelievable from a hierarchical perspective like from a history perspective like an ailing and so forth how about brigade brigade hey we selling like hot cakes but people are overlooking how about the new professional calendar skeleton from last year i think that's one of the hottest did the gold one that is in my that did i have a painting of it on my wall that isn't my one of my girl watches that's what there's a year waiting list for it right now but people often overlook neurology over hype and i think it should be a healthy mix of both there's nothing i would hike right but i sometimes hate the fact that people overlook what watch is all about and it's hard logical marvel yeah they're buying the watch because um yeah there a lot of memes about anthony a lot of bad stuff has been said about anthony that we don't agree with and i felt like it would be best to have anthony himself tell the story who is the timepiece gentleman what is going on with him and his company what is his ultimate goal what's he all about personally he doesn't mind sharing his personal story so in the very least you guys will get the facts straight directly from the source rather than hearing on it or seeing it on a meme on the internet you always hear people talk about doing something that's fun if you can have fun in your job and you can enjoy it then then it'll be worth it don't worry about the money the money will come i always had a passion for watches i remember looking on craigslist and looking at watches and i had one watch left over from before i went in i decided i was going to sell that and use some money to buy another one the watch i had was the first luxury watch i ever bought it was a breitling chronomat 39 millimeter you would have thought i spent a million dollars on this watch i was walking down the halls like this everywhere rolex first money watch i've been thinking about this all the time when i got my first roll this was me i mean i walked into first my rolex walked in a room and then i walked in i made sure i actually went to a christmas party that night and i made sure that my sleeve never went below my watch if it did i got pissed off and i got it i was constantly polishing the watch and you know so at night i would lay up uh reading you know kind of uh reading about this watch and learn a little bit about it i reposted it back on craigslist and i sold it for 500 in about two days time now at that moment when i was counting the profit i was sitting here all these guys around me are getting out in the halfway house and they're working you know six seven eight hour days coming back making a hundred two hundred dollars at a you know bull part-time job that a felon can get and i'm sitting here thinking i just made 500 in in two days that's when i knew that i was gonna be a watch dealer i didn't know how i was gonna make it i couldn't at the time i couldn't figure out i didn't have a vision for how i was gonna get to something like this but i knew i was gonna do it number 16. sorry to say roman but you have poor taste in watches i have literally seen every single five out of five days out of the week uh we did 21 watches 18 retail three wholesale we're still in that kind of that slow period where we're focusing more less on sales and more on building the back end of the business and actually we've been last week's numbers were lower we were focused on building our sales team the sales team dylan they were the guys that did all these dylan and mike and our insight from roman's idea i think we're going to start focusing heavily on the consignment aspect of business there's not a lot of retail spaces out there where you can actually walk in and you can browse inventory that's all on consignment from people all over the country kind of seems like a it's a win-win too for our customers because they'll also get a little bit more money out of it because our buy price first our consignment price is obviously gonna have a difference of roughly five to ten percent and that goes into your pockets if you can sign so you know we're gonna do a flat rate fee we haven't decided fees yet but we'll update you guys with that too but they will be better than any other consignment sites you can find online anywhere any jewelry jewelry store auction house anything we will match or beat no we will beat any consignment price so guys if you're interested in selling some watches instead of selling it right outright to a dealer call us first and consider
