Vigilance Elite - How Spec Ops Dudes Modify Their Everyday Carry?

[Music] hey guys what's up I'm Sean we're here at West gunworks again and we get a [ __ ] ton of questions on what we do to modify our clocks now there's a lot of different things you can do to modify your clock so we're just gonna go over some of the some of the things that people do so go ahead and then I'll kick it off right off the bat put sights on your Glock if you do anything they come with those white football post rear sight PO and the front sight post there I don't know I think they just suck just my opinion I like Trijicon HDS just what I like I know Sean likes black that says right your sights you like black on black black on black sites I like I'm a little older than Sean so it's got a orange front sight post and I can see it you know training with vigilance elite it was real nice you could pick up real quick target acquisition these things are great you guys are preparing these very addictive and I heard they make you shoot better they do okay so just you know my two cents on is when you buy a block put new sights on it these are these are day and night sights very bright orange and they illuminate tritium tritium at night so that's my two cents what do you think it's your well there's this I mean it's like we said a few minutes ago clock is like the Legos of guns you can put a million things on Glocks I I personally just like one of them stock I just I just like stock guns I mean you can you can spend a lot of money and modify your Glock you can you can make it a race gun you can pull up a sights and extra triggers and Helicon nonsense on it but for me personally I use for a stocked up it's just it works it's like what we said off-camera it's just it's not about the gun it's about the Train it's about how well you can manipulate that that feature so once once your you reach a certain level of training will okay once I reaches level then let me try some different I might get a little faster so that that thing ahead of time isn't gonna make you faster it's it might hinder you so it's better to practice the fundamentals on upon a basic gun and then move forward and then and then add extra features to make yourself faster what do you think I actually agree with them I run my gun stock except for sights yeah I've changed my sights I got a set of night sights they're actually Trijicon night sight it's an older version I've had them on there for about 10 years now they're gonna be need to be changed real soon and I do like the big look front orange outline the big front sight I can see no right I mean if you if you have vision problems then the big front sight is you know it's definitely helpful but if like I said in my opinion is just I I run a stock it works it's always worked you know if I pick a gun up on it on the battlefield it likely won't have it likely won't be a race gun did I think I'm wrong about yeah you know it's gonna get stock gun with iron sights or you know just just off the rack site so I guess like training you know old school yeah I mean I agree with you you know like I do modify my Glock but this is mine it's a gen 3 but I don't really like modifying the inside like these triggers you know I think they're [ __ ] garbage I think fail you know I've seen them failed yours film the last time we were in there a big disappointment you know but and you know it's to me changes the guts of a gun is kind of like you know changing you know a car like you changed you start changing too much internals of the car and the car starts [ __ ] the bed you know some things that I do to my Glock is the first thing I do is I do change the sights I don't like the Glock sights one they're plastic he knows I hate [ __ ] plastic I like black on black we can go into that later but that's what I like I like to stipple it what I'd like to stipple it because I can get a fuller grip so I don't have you know huge [ __ ] hands so I shave a shit-ton off this back strap I make the finger grooves deeper I canal this out actually so I can get a fuller grip which makes me you know able to control the gun a lot better other than that you know that's about it you know I I file this down I actually did this myself I file this down quite a bit because you get the [ __ ] clock knuckle there know what I mean know what they say but it's tantalized what what about internally you know you know internally you know like may can we do let's see what can we we know what we don't like and as operators I I think the best analogy is when you buy a car I buy a pickup truck which I have and I started lifting it up and I start putting a bigger wheels and tires cool right this gun will look cool but functionality it starts to run like [ __ ] the fuel economy sucks right well there's there so there's two kinds of shootings there's competition shooting and then there's tactical shooter well we teach what we vote on all our lives is tactical shooting we're not saying it is anything wrong with three gun competitions I mean there's a place for everything it's it's fun and all these modifications are fantastic for these three gun competitions but in a tactical situation I've always run just a stock stock weapon I do a few modifications like for example with my with my 43 here clear so if my 43 all I've done to this thing is I had a bicycle tire to the grip here and I a skateboard tape to the back and that's all you'll of stock - yeah so that's that's all done - this with a gun of this size the the fights gonna be up close and personal so I'm not gonna put any kind of sites where I need to you know ain't a name far away it's gonna be it's gonna be close fight with this kind of gun so you don't really even need to aim that much with enough training your muscle memory you're gonna put rounds exactly where you want without even looking at your sights yeah I also want to add with the Glocks leaving them stop especially internally I very I work on guns for a living and very few times that by at o'clock come in here that was factory stocked with a problem yeah always an aftermarket part right right almost always yeah and I my painting locks are perfect guns so why why miss perfection I agree you know I do I forgot a couple of things I do put the extended mag release it on my gen threes I just I like them they stick out farther it's not messing too much with the guts I mean it's just you know this little plastic piece right here but sticks out farther yeah and I'm able to you know hit that you know I mean everybody knows about gross motor skills under stress and I mean I hit that bag release the other thing that I like to use especially on my everyday carry are mag extenders if you are given a gun and it's too [ __ ] small you know and you can't get a full grip you're not gonna be able to apply proper fundamentals so I use those every time with that being said if you're gonna run these you need to run them on every magazine because everything has to be the same it's build muscle memory you know coming out of the holster you know if you're used to running these and then you have a stock mag or you know it's gonna it's there's that one little split second buck you up Twitter gravity is different it was just different it's just uh-huh you know your brain is gonna be like oh something's [ __ ] different there and you're gonna fight through it and you might not be fight through anything but it is gonna slow you down that split second so you know but I mean that's I think it's for each is his own whatever you want to do it you want it to look fancy you want to start putting these barrels in it you know threaded barrels yeah if you want to write an Tiger oh yeah I mean look I have a Zeb threaded barrel I don't think that I would notice any difference between this is that barrel on a stock barrel I mean I paid out to 200 yards of this [ __ ] thing stock with a match or I mean with the stock barrel I actually picked up it was not as EV barrel but I did pick up a different match barrel and Brian it a couple times and you know I'd say 200 rounds I had a [ __ ] round gets stuck right here it's a problem and I had to pull it out no [ __ ] put it in a vise pull it out with a pair of pliers so there's just another you know aftermarket part that I mean they come like this for a reason you know so are you gonna change something why I gonna do Glock Glock slogan his Glock perfection right that's what their that's their marketing brand so why are you gonna start putting other stuff but people will always do it they because that's what they want to do you can do a hundred things to Glock it's that everyone has their own opinions and what they want to do I say sites we think it's a carry gun Slayton's yeah pretty much and these mag extenders we saw a lot of these I install a lot of these triggers triggers they get chucked over there well we saw the hollowing and and for these only flew these little guns you know for these that the 43s you you definitely need to have some kind of magazine extender so you get have some kind of magazine standard otherwise you pinky just falls off you know the bottom so you need you need to have something here I have to have a full grip you have to yeah yeah group is everything with a pistol so these they come along times different different price ranges right you have these here's what I have where you can go you know yeah you can spend like that yeah 10 12 15 bucks 250 but I got to tell you you get what you pay for with a lot of products I truly believe and Sean brought these to our light and we are selling them here at lexicon works because Sean I'll tell you what it seems like not only do you get a proper trip yet which you have to but the waiting on these Tarrant tacticals because they're a metal they're made out of metal or alloy they feel heavier and I'll tell you what those you drop a mag and they go yeah well you know that's another thing to a lot of people have a problem that people have with Glock is the [ __ ] magnet is drop like in the SEAL Teams you know we used to shoot sig and I don't know if there's a spring in there or what but the [ __ ] bag just comes out every time one of the downfalls with a lot because the mags are so light and if you're a [ __ ] bag like then you don't clean it to make it gets grimy this extra weight will help with your mags falling out so you don't throw you know cash this is where if to you know it out you know yeah Taron tactical yeah I mean it is what it is you I love their [ __ ] they're expensive you know what it's worth it it is pretty look cool I've been moving song a lot of those too I put a lot of them on magazines here in the last few so plus 5 for 19 for uh Glock 19 you're adding 4 to 5 rounds is it plus fire yeah and you can do plus 2 plus 3 on the 43 and you feel the weight difference on the foot is all have one 243 s because of Sean and they're they're phenomenal I mean you could
