Trying WEIRD Makeup Hacks From TikTok | are these a waste of time?!

hey everyone so today we are doing a very exciting video in this video we are going to be trying some tick tock beauty techniques i just recently did a video where i tried tik tok viral beauty products and in that video i asked if you wanted to see the technique video and a few of you said you did so we're doing it today that's kind of how it goes i just need one comment telling me to do it and i will in fact do it and that's what we're doing today that's also why you may notice i have no makeup on right now because we're going to be using these techniques to do our makeup and see if it's better or worse than what i normally do i've been doing the exact same makeup for a very long time now so i'm excited to try some new stuff out i could probably ramble on and on and on and on but i won't we will get into this it's what you came here to see let's get into it okay before we get into this i'm going to use the super goop foundation in my last tick tock video i called this sugar goop the whole video and i swear every single comment was about that and i was laughing along with you guys i don't know how i managed to call a product by the wrong name the entire video i am sorry my bad you know i got mine though seriously because i didn't wear this one day and i got sunburned so i'm not gonna forget it today and i'm sorry super goop i thought you were sugar coop i don't know why thought about rebranding by chance it's got a good ring to it clearly because i said it 40 times in the video okay but the first tick tock technique we're going to try is it's like a red lipstick hack i will show you guys the tick tock on the screen basically you take a red lipstick and you put it all over your face that's pretty much it and then you do your foundation and your concealer over top it's supposed to give like a very almost sun kissed but in a different way sun kissed almost like in a burnt way like you got a sun burn kissing your face i don't know like what is it actually you looked like you were sunburned at first you really said trust the process i mean it looks good their skin looks very full of life i just wish i could have told 13 year old mia to embrace her red face because i had rosacea and when i would run my face would get super super red and who knew in a couple years it would be trendy so we're going to be imitating that now i have two lipsticks here i have this one which is a little bit more hot pink and then i have this one which is red and normally i would be like well i should use this one because it's more red but i'm slightly scared of this one because it's very thick and the last thing i want to do is like clog my pores and this one feels more blendable but it's also the wrong color so this one also smells really good i don't know okay i better go with the red for the sake of the technique but uh just know that i'm scared of this one it's very not blendable it's a mac lipstick swipe on the cheek oh my gosh it's so thick swipe did she put it on her nose yeah okay and then okay then we're just going to blend that in oh my goodness it's very thick it doesn't want to blend it really doesn't pick your most blendable lipstick you guys oh my something weird is happening on my cheek i almost feel like it's reacting a little bit with the sunblock so i'm just gonna like really blend that oh my oh i feel like my camera i'm looking in the screen it's not even picking up how red this actually is on my face i look i like i have the sunburn of a lifetime right now oh my goodness okay but i am going to be covering this up just like in the video but i'm going to use a few other technique techniques tik tok techniques first of all this good apple foundation seriously i have heard so much about this i can't even believe how lucky i got with buying this i just logged into sephora and there was only two shades available it was like the lightest and the darkest and i scooped it up so everything else was sold out like every other shade but i have it here and weirdly enough kvd i didn't realize that's kat von d did they like rebrand as kvd from kat von d or is it just an abbreviation like no big deal i'm not sure i was surprised i thought it was a new brand but it wasn't maybe i'm the only one that got confused by that i'm not sure but so the deal with this foundation is it's supposed to apply very beautifully cover any blemishes while also not looking cakey or too thick on your face hopefully it's not too too coverage because i want to be able to see this red but i guess we'll see it was one that i really wanted to try i suppose this isn't really as much of a technique as it is just the product but i was very excited to try it the packaging is pretty simple it just looks like a cream foundation usually i use a liquid so this will be something a little different but let's just see oh my oh my goodness oh my this is very very full coverage wow it's so smooth okay but like it's mixing with the red and it almost is making like a purple color oh no oh no that's not good i wonder why that's happening i feel like it's kind of a cool tone foundation so almost picking up like a blue hue and then over top of the red we have a honest purple coming through here okay that's fine that's fine this application is so easy with a brush wow okay is the camera picking this up correctly you guys i look purple right now seriously i fully look purple i mean like when i started this i really didn't think i was gonna turn out purple i'm gonna turn the exposure down one so you can really see how strange this color is making me i mean as the comment said i think i need to trust the process i definitely can see the red lipstick underneath but honestly this is not looking great for me why do i look like this is it just me looking too closely maybe it is pink i don't know it looks purple okay i'm gonna continue on though this foundation seems very amazing to be honest i definitely would like to see what this looks like not over top of the red lipstick base because i feel like this would be very promising i really like the way it looks for my skin especially for a cream foundation it feels very light i would say definitely worth the hype on this one and i'm excited to use it some more if i get to using it a lot i'll i'll actually put the description box how it was for me i know i said that in the last video and i didn't do it but i actually will this time and if i don't comment that i'm a bad person and i will remember okay now we have a concealer technique let's watch let me show you to help with that the reason i'm not a fan of the triangle shape under the eye is because it emphasizes the lowest part of the cheek way too much in my opinion so i'm going to show you my preferred method and also the benefit of this one is that it lifts the face this is a shape i want you to try the reason i take it onto the side of the nose is that it gives the nose a natural contour so i'm going to blend this out and show you the difference so as you can see there is a clear difference this one is much more lifted and the highlight isn't on the main focal point it does look better is this one here while yes everything's covered in everything the highlight is right here there is a lot of products sitting right on the cheek as opposed to under the eye and lifting the face try this out and let me know how you go okay i will try this out and let you know how it goes okay i have my concealer now i will say when i normally do my concealer i don't do that triangle but i just kind of throw it on however so we'll see if this techniques works for them it definitely did work the face looked more or less lifted i don't know how to speak today i just like i'm looking in the mirror and i'm like wait you good no okay that's fine let's try this okay let me just see i've already forgotten what i'm supposed to do so we want to do at the side like this oh my gosh why am i purple in the inside like this and then down the nose like that apparently that is going to be a game changer for us okay and then i'm going to just do my regular concealer in hopes to die down this purple tone maybe it's just warm tones mixed with cool tones make purple i don't know i do feel like i have a lot on my face right now just with that lipstick under there it's just an extra layer that i don't know if i needed but it's the technique i must follow it it's what the tick talkers are doing they're hip they're fun they're cool that's it okay let's blend this concealer i'm gonna try and blend it in the spot i set it oh my goodness what is happening what is happening over here oh my gosh like was i just not supposed to put on makeup today my red lipstick has messed me up from the beginning oh here we go okay maybe it was my beauty blender okay this is the point where i have to really stare at my face did that make a difference i mean the mua said it would so it probably did can i tell no okay for this i feel like it probably doesn't hurt to use this technique to my observing eye can i tell a difference not really but that doesn't mean it didn't do anything that means it may have just been subtle that's where i'm gonna leave that one okay now i'm going to set my face off camera contour highlight blush all of those things and then we're gonna get back to the brows with the next technique okay guys the rest of the complexion is on in this very moment i don't look purple anymore and i'm starting to understand the red lipstick trend hype a little more because i look flushed with color in a very healthy looking way i really like it i have like a strong sunburn undertone and it makes me feel like summery in a way if that makes any sense i actually really like the way it looks i don't love the extra layer of red lipstick on my face so i probably wouldn't do it every day but if i wanted to be extra fun with my makeup i would definitely do that technique i understand it a little bit more now okay but now we're gonna tackle our eyebrows i was just noticing how many views all these videos have like 11 million 5 million 7 million so crazy these are viral so this is the tick tock about the soap brows so brows i've seen going around a lot i one time from a makeup artist in london she did so brows on me and honestly i gotta say it didn't look great i feel like the one thing i learned from this tic toc is you need to start with really good eyebrows which i mean i like my eyebrows but i don't know how good they're gonna look pushed up so we'll see i picked up the original brow soap soap brows with bamboo spoolie i feel like in the video when they push them up and then swipe them to the side that might be my saving grace in this moment because if i was just gonna push them up my eyebrow hairs are pretty long and i don't think that would look very good so let's just see how this looks i'm not gonna fill them in i'm just gonna see what it looks like it smells like nothing so i'm just going to push the spoolie in the soap okay and then brush them up i don't know how much soap i need i feel like i need more than that okay push them up i feel like this isn't really holding do i need water do you need a little spritz of water in here maybe i will just go wet this because they did it in the tick tock okay got it a little bit wet okay my eyebrows are kind of a unique consistency they're almost the equivalent of wires they're very difficult to bend very stubborn and they kind of just stay the one way they want to go in the tick tock you push them up see i can't leave them up like this i need to push them down then [Music] okay that's actually not bad wait which eyebrow did i do oh yeah this one that's kind of good i feel like this might be my better eyebrow though so that might have helped i'm ruining my foundation near the eyebrows i don't know i really didn't think there was gonna be a technique for this but i think that this is something that you could eventually get better at first try not too bad but i think if i was to do this for like an entire week i might learn to move around my eyebrows a little better i like it though it's very natural looking i like that it'll hold my eyebrows in place i think i did mess up my foundation a little and i have almost white crustiness in my eyebrows which i'm not super keen about but i like this i really thought this was going to look worse on me i would rate this impressed and surprised out of 10. okay the last technique we're going to try today is how i make my eyes look really big this is a very fast pace tutorial so i'm going to have to really analyze this looks like eyeliner goes all the way onto the lower dark brown in the crease and out and then under the eyes and then white in the inside and on the waterline so i got to do that basically they did it kind of in a weird order i usually would do eyeshadow and then eyeliner but i'm gonna do it in the same order as they did so eyeliner first eyeliner going straight out like this and then onto the lower lash line this might take me a second [Music] i don't know if this is what i was supposed to do but this is what happened okay we're gonna use a dark brown i'll use my contour color i'm just going to basically blend that up and down here over the eyeliner and then also down here really just quickly some people be blessed they do their eyeshadow and their makeup in like five seconds and they look so good i need to focus for things to turn out good it doesn't just happen they seem to have started with fake eyelashes or extensions already on so i'll do that but i'm going to do some white in my waterline um it smells like a crayon okay okay lastly i need a really really bright color like a white in the inner eye corner just a dot just like that beautiful in this tutorial it doesn't show mascara but i'm pretty sure that they already have lashes so mascara my eyes are looking a lot bigger i kind of don't look like myself all of a sudden so yeah that might be a good thing maybe we'll see okay i feel like that not only transformed my eyes but it also transformed my whole face i'm looking in the mirror and i'm who is that i look very different that is a serious eye trick my eyes look big and also different i would definitely suggest trying that it's actually kind of cool if you're bored with your look this really changed it up i don't have a lip hack so i'm just going to put this on just to complete it but i'm going to change and we will be back for the final thoughts [Music] all right guys so here is my finished look using all of these tick tock learned techniques and also products oh my goodness it wasn't that different until i finished doing this eye makeup technique and now i'm like whoa this looks way different than my normal makeup it definitely transformed the look i really really like it i will say though this white in my waterline is almost like i can see it it's reflecting off lights back into my eyes it's very strange it's something i need to get used to i think but yeah i really liked all these techniques and products i definitely think i'm going to carry some over into my everyday makeup i want to get better with the soap brows i like the red lipstick underneath but i honestly don't think i'll use it i do have rosacea naturally so i will just
