Toy Story 3 MADE ME UGLY CRY - Movie Reaction

toy story 3 [Music] what's up it's jv and we're back with toy story three this is the third one the third installment of toy story and i think there's one more there's toy story 4 after this so this came out in 2010 so about 11 years ago almost almost 12 years ago 11 years ago it's crazy it doesn't seem like this came out that long ago i'm checking it out now for the first time it's it's nuts how time flies so okay this got really good on rotten tomatoes got 98 percent rotten tomatoes 92 and metacritic 8.2 and imdb so very well received movie budget of 20 million dollars box office 1.06 billion dollars so these animated movies i'm finding out make a lot of money so the return on investment is huge on these animated movies so just like the last one incredibles 2 they the budget was 200 million as well and then they made over a billion dollars so yeah they're uh they're pretty popular and they're gonna keep going because that type of returns i don't know if that's common with like live-action movies or not but i'll have to do research on those but yeah that seems like a really good return on investment so um toy story three we're checking it out right now we last left off with woody and he's got his new the girl would i don't know her name i'll get it trust me i'll get it i'll write it down this time i'm starting to take a lot of notes so i'll get her name but she's part of the crew now plus his horse is part of the crew the prospector is gone that guy flipped out at the end frasier is out of here and um yeah they just kind of accepted the fact that it's temporary the time that they have with i think his name is andy is temporary and they're just going to enjoy it while it lasts so let's see where that goes how old is andy going to be now is it going still this is really cool that sounded like the jurassic park straight out of jurassic park what in the world okay this is crazy i like this they can just go run wild barrel of monkeys holy crap that's so cool oh no he's gotta come eat dinner andy you gotta come eat dinner watch out wow he created all that stuff let's change [Music] here's the iconic music you got he's back you know he wasn't in the second one this guy friend of me got a friend in me oh he's gonna be growing up we're getting time jumps here man this is completely gone away because of video games we are eternally grateful okay that was years ago that's why socks go missing toys can really mess with things hey if they're like sinister they could really like screw things up oh oh is that andy holy crap hello stuff oh so the they wanted his attention oh this is so sad holy crap wait what uh folks me and the boys are moving on moving on you're going awol it has been an honor serving with you good luck folks oh man we're out of there gonna need oh peep is gone too his girl 17 years old look how old molly is too now [Music] for barbie oh man just like that barbie i get the corvette andy come on you need to sell them online mom no one's gonna want those old toys they're junk woody the woody's super you have to jesse anything that's not packed for college or in bullseye very expensive nobody's gonna want them they're junk come on kid look them up sell them on marketplace or ebay oh no [Music] what are you doing oh my god he's just chucking all of them he doesn't have any like remor uh not remorse but he doesn't feel anything for these toys i always had a hard time throwing toys out even like old books and comic well not comic books i haven't thrown any of those out but college oh he's throwing woody out i mean uh buzz out what the hell holy man please give him this to the daycare oh he's putting him in the attic oh no his mom's gonna think they're trash oh andy oh no they're going to the junkyard that's not trash buster the dog oh he's old now that's so messed up you can barely walk last time we saw him he was a puppy yeah escape escape go woody wow come on get him out he's gonna cut the wrong one ah oh no i don't get it look at what he runs hey like oh they're already out they're ready uh [Laughter] [Music] oh no woody can't get back in time to tell them that they were going to go to the attic here what have you all lost quick tell them woody didn't you see andy threw us away no no no no no he was putting you in the attic attic so how do we end up on the curb i can't imagine andy bringing woody to college though like just just trying to picture having a little toy like i guess it would well i have stuff so yeah it's i guess it could be like a it's a collector's item as well sunnydale sunnyside daycare my daughter's in daycare right now they take care of the toys there they make sure they're all organized and cleaned and everything if they go missing that means you just have an owner now i wonder is this place going to be like bad there's toys everywhere more dinosaurs a teddy bear a robot you know palm trees this place is awesome it's perfect what can go wrong right toys hey wow they're welcoming look at that rock guy dinosaurs oh cool [Laughter] well hello there i thought i heard new voices welcome to sunnyside folks i'm lotso huggin bear lotso he's probably a main character lots so well now all the kids come when the kids get old new ones come in when they get old new ones replace them no owners means no heartbreak this seems perfect right can new toys it's cool they got the rights to ken and barbie who makes the mattel let's show our new friends where they'll be staying they're gonna step right this way ah marv they don't have a single barbie [Laughter] like a big barbie commercial no man there's a dark side to this big baby hi we were thrown out together me and him abandoned by the same one we control our own destiny okay hold on does he hate humans i have a feeling he hates humans the caterpillar room holy moly guacamole this is for preschoolers like that bell's gonna ring and you'll get the play time that you've been dreaming of these are preschoolers the other the other room was for the older kids something's uh something's messed up here this is where they get jacked up from the little little kids [Music] big baby he's like the guard he guards the like the gateway between the two no no really this is potato head's eyes still i have a kid you wake up it's over andy is all grown up it's over it is hey what's up after all we've been through [Laughter] is he gonna get flushed what is this oh no oh what the heck oh my god wow oh my god that got me there's no toys on the roof actually yeah they would just come down yeah if toys were real they just come off the roof oh there's a kite up there is the kite alive what's classified as a toy yay wow imagine seeing that go woody go oh no oh ho [Music] oh what the heck [Music] [Laughter] oh string yeah bonnie oh no his hat it's too good to be true here these toys aren't made for the we're little kids right they're hiding oh no oh no he put his mask up oh no oh yeah they eat everything oh no jesse oh his tail ah gross all day every day i knew that guy was up to no good lot so [Music] too good to be true no no i don't want black oh man they're so familiar i think that's jeff from curb your enthusiasm the girl is from flight of the conchords i don't recognize the hedgehog getting played with hey there's a studio ghibli [Music] we haven't watched that yet that that movie with that guy on the left this is perfect yeah he's smile he's happy andy who [Music] yeah there you go oh these guys are getting all jacked up oh my gosh moving us to the other room the baby's the guard man you're not going to get by him i'll talk to lots good job please tell me it's some kind of like ufc fighting ring or something the animation is so beautiful i like it not as good as some of the other ones i've seen but obviously it's 2010 right here we go come on still really really good blackjack [Music] oh big baby the library oh shoot no take him to the library look at her she loves her toys ken what's going on here why is this toy tied up yeah right lotso's really the evil one we're gonna see a dark turn right here we respectfully request a transfer to the butterfly room well request granted but lots of hush now kenneth we got a keeper calling you up to the big league son yes that makes sense he's like good at negotiating and stuff we're a family we stay together family man huh i understand put it back in the timeout chair big baby bring in the bookworm the strongest one the bookworm taking his batteries out to its original factory setting no slide the switch from play whoa that's so cool [Laughter] [Music] you really really wanted them i thought he was putting them away and just gonna forget about them but he was upset he's like where are they there missy you're not going anywhere oh yeah what who's gonna stop us oh no look out oh man it's got nuts silence minions of zerg you're in the custody minions of zerg [Laughter] listen up folks we gotta wait oh look at the team they got damn early the bad guys are always like you're just hurting yourself have a southern accent well from the last one oh that's just a dinosaur toy down the street that's nothing let me just take care of that he's the dinosaur just a dinosaur [Laughter] she like chats with other dinosaur toys she's embarrassed well he's all messed up oh i knew lotso he was a good toy friend we had the same kid daisy loved us all but lots of lotso was special oh no after lunch daisy fellas he fell asleep they left them no oh crap the parents they walked all the way is it gonna be years later and they're like older now or something oh she got a new lotso but by then oh it's too late [Music] oh something snapped she replaced us come on no she only replaced you she replaced all of us someone replaced you she don't love you no more now oh man unwanted then we found sunnyside this guy's a great voice actor too i don't know his name a great actor actually isn't he leaving for college he's gotta decide what's he gonna do he's gotta get them out he has to that's the way out the ceiling tiles oh it's safe up here why don't they go up here back down hard since you left all that more patrols you and your friends ain't never getting out of here now that's his voice there's only one way toys leave this place poor fella trash truck comes at dawn then it's off to the dump inside and out keys are left in the ceilings the monkey the monkey is the eye in the sky holy crap oh yeah he was at the front look at him go jump over them ah they're all trying to escape he's so close the doors are right there oh the jig is up oh look how far they got grappling hook and everything [Music] he's almost out he's so close they're so close ah you know if i was a kid and i grew up with these movies i think i would hold on to all my toys like my special ones i'd hold on to them like i wish i held onto my toys when i was a kid like there's so many that meant so much to me but i just they're gone i don't know what happened to them boxes and my parents threw them out yes yes distract them wait i'll do anything i'll i'll change your diapers i'll change your diapers yes how's he gonna get out i don't get it how's he gonna get his body out of there get this monkey guy oh oh geez oh you can't get it off because his hands are stuck like this [Music] whoa whoa whoa whoa tape them up yes a few outfits for me just a few [Laughter] the moonwalk oh my god just a few he's modeling all of them astronaut ken yeah he's not going anywhere i told you prison flights off of my stuff yeah jesse good job [Music] he still thinks it's a laser tortilla oh potat wait because there's potato in it wait i don't get it you can like kind of crawl around what the heck this is so cool oh my god oh geez that's so weird [Laughter] ready oh my god that's so weird she left yes ken what did lotzo do to buzz and how do we switch him back you can't make me talk you can't oh barbara ah it's okay all right go ahead this is from what 1966 yes what a shame oh no no no no no there's an instruction manual wait until morning ken but yes here you go oh oh shoot okay he doesn't care all right i kind of remember that toy from something like a smart worm guy i don't know from where though i love this he's like a tortilla oh no pigeons feathers you your food for him oh shoot mr potato head beat it up there's more there's always more oh no oh he's tricking you guys you're back no stay on oh [Music] it's not my fault oh he changed the language now what did you do oh no [Laughter] he takes the language i don't have captions for this good luck cowboy good luck cowboy oh jesse he's still in love with her mr potato head leave what i've been through at night pickle or there you go pickle rick pickled potato head it was way before pickle rick oh big baby staring at the moon man big baby's weird oh my gosh [Laughter] that's so freaky man this is like this would be scary if i was a kid i would be kind of scared of this movie what he's run is so funny jesse doesn't run like that come on down no [Music] oh no there's nothing to grab onto okay look who's back how did they know what happened they broke me oh they jacked them up they beat him up in a family it's a prison you're a liar and a bully and i'd rather rot in this dumpster than join any family of yours jesse's yeah that's what you want oh no barbie what that's whoopi goldberg push lots on then why don't you join her oh so easy sunny side could be cool and groovy if we treated each other fair it's lotto he's made us into a pyramid and he put himself yeah uh it's true come on tell them the truth about what happened wait what about daisy oh daisy i don't know what you're talking about no you out she lost you she replaced you and if you have her [Music] she loved you lotso she never loved me as much as any kid ever loved a toy [Music] waiting to be thrown away it's all a toy hey stop it idiot yeah no no wait a minute it made me wait oh my gosh wow man holy crap that's so oh gosh look out oh no lotso what incoming what the heck is going on now what are you oh shoot they all went in i thought it was over are you kidding me they gotta go to get out of the dump now what about the thing like crushes them jesse where is she okay come on buzz get her oh go go use your wings so confident oh no tv oh holy crap man lift [Music] he's reset again yes he's back [Music] all the smell yes i'm back beyond infinity space woody so where are we now so he doesn't remember any of that please tell me andy's here that would be crazy if andy's here looking for his toys the claw oh no guys come back [Music] oh those guys are dead oh my this is a complete nightmare this isn't a jolly movie man this is kind of this is super dark like the last half of it the whole thing pretty much is on more on the dark side than joyful and happy oh my god don't grab something metal oh no dino go go the fan yes okay good who's left it again come on lotso how the heck are they gonna get out of this this is insane man lotso you had a chance and you screwed it up again oh my god this is crazy it's not like the first and second movie at all it's awesome though it's face death holy crap bullseye just face it together hold hands so sad wow man this is incredible yes come on guys whoo who did this yes oh my [Laughter] gosh oh my god that was amazing that came out of nowhere i was oh because they ran off for the claws so early on wow look at the garbage physics jeez i wish they could hang out in the attic with each other going away now so i need someone really special to play with them this is jessie the roughest toughest cowgirl in the whole west she loves critters but none more than her best pal bullseye it's okay he'll keep your money safe he's also one of the most dastardly villains of all time this [Music] is buzz lightyear the coolest toy ever buzz lightyear what's he doing in there there's a snake in my boob [Music] he wants to keep him now woody he's been my pal for as long as i can remember he's brave like a cowboy should be and kind and smart he'll be there for you no matter what he's playing with her for a little bit oh man this is great they have a new home all right andy that's it he's gonna miss woody a lot damn he wanted to keep woody thanks guys holy this is crazy we got to see the whole thing like andy was holding like the first one in second one and uh yeah send off so long partner bonnie's toys now they get some new friends too oh my gosh donate well that was oh my i might need a minute oh my gosh this guy [Laughter] he made his way there oh it's all cool now welcome to sun go yeah yeah so because what's his name is gone barbie's there too i forgot yeah cause he saved barbie and these guys get back oh they tag in okay they take turns i'm in the sand the box is like a place for joy now oh jeez the army men [Laughter] parties at night disco ball hey he's fixed up too call me so ken is like the new mayor of this place and it's all everything's good and barbie sunny once again oh they gave him an update excited about your new home hugs and kisses to everyone oh barbie has some nice handwriting uh buzz bars oh that's ken's [Laughter] oh they're playing video games what happened to um woody's girl i guess she's really gone little bo peep wow all right i gotta give it to it that was great that was really well done um okay so okay you have so the thing is about this movie it's like you can't really judge it on the first part because it is so dark for a kid's movie it was really scary and it was like the present scene and uh and um lotso was a great villain um it just was very different from the first two which were they had their dark moments but for the most part i remember it being more a lot more joyful actually the second one was a little bit at the end but anyway this one was like really dark and um for the most part and they were i guess it was a bit it was more like they were building up to these moments at the end that really paid off i feel like with like the first movie and the second movie we see their connection with andy um see their dedication to him and woody's dedication to andy and um just wanting to get back to him constantly and telling the other toys like no andy really wants us like he cares about us and they're like no he threw us away but he really did in the end really care about them like they kind of made it seem like he didn't care but that could have been his emotions of like him leaving and him kind of being scared to go on going off to college and you know fighting with those emotions but in the end like he really really cared about them and woody was right and we saw it with the first and second movie um we kind of get to see that growth that story of like the kid the little kid he was like really young when we first saw andy and then growing up to a 17 year old and um him really appreciating you know the time he spent with those toys and passing it on to bonnie and um just it was some really great moments there him with him not just handing it off to her but introducing the toys to her playing with her you know like doing these scenarios like that he did with um with ham and stuff being the the villain and all this stuff like he played with her for a bit and then he like as a last kind of play and goodbye to them and the like the moment when he saw woody in there and then when bonnie really wanted woody and she knew some of his catch phrases like the snake in my boot thing and he was like what are you doing in there like he he didn't put woody in there he put woody in his college box so it was really confusing to him and him having to just see the joy of bonnie and then giving it to her giving woody to her and like he was so like crushed by that but at the same time he knew like it it was time like it was time to let go it was time to say goodbye to those toys and like right before he drove off he said like thanks like he appreciated the time that he spent with them and and he knew he had to move on even though it was super sad and not not all of us barely any of us get a chance to really to do that to appreciate the toys that we had when we're small and and the joy that they gave us we kind of just forget about them or they get sold or something happens but when you're an adult and you watch a movie like this i remember the toys that i had i remember um i had this rudolph the red-nosed reindeer toy like a stuffed toy with like a red nose and i would carry that everywhere and i had it for years and years even like maybe like up until like eight years ago but i lost track of it and it's gone and and i don't know where it is now so that that really sucks i wish i just you know just had it somewhere but um and there's a ton of other toys i remember too having as a kid like a millennium falcon and my lego sets and all this stuff that i wish i still held on to my nintendo original nintendo and sega genesis um i just i wish i held on to it or i got to pass it on to someone that i knew would you know play with it as well but you don't really think about that stuff so um i kind of do that now with my electronics like if i get a new phone i'll sell the old phone but it's not really sentimental like that but uh yeah just really well done it just got me in the end it just brought up all these feelings and i think that was definitely on purpose like the they knew what they'd built with andy and woody that connection and uh they did that really well the way they they they did that whole scene with the last moments there that like made made the movie for me pretty much like it was really good before that i really enjoyed it it was like i said a lot darker than before but it was action-packed it was like a prison break there was comedy in there there was a great villain one of the best villains he was the best villain in and out of the the whole series so far um not so was really well done and um i kind of wish he had a little bit of a redemption in the end like instead of doing the classic you save the bad guy but then he turns on you again and then you know they've done that you've seen that everywhere constantly but i kind of was hoping that you'd finally get one bad guy that was like all right you guys were right um he is still a jerk he doesn't go back to the place but you know you get a little bit there but no like they decided to do that which is fine it works too it was cool that the aliens ended up like saving them again because they saved the aliens lives and then yeah mr potato head his kids it was cool that whole thing but uh yeah it was great ken was cool too ken and barbie like that was they were one of the standout characters of the sh of the movie um obviously uh woody and buzz spanish buzz i was dope jesse it was cool that's the whole this uh this is the perfect ending to this to this trilogy i don't know how they're gonna what they're gonna do in for because they're with bonnie now i don't know what the heck else because they have to there has to be conflict right like what can happen right they can't i don't know so i'm looking forward to watching the fourth one this for me is the perfect send-off and like i'm now in my head i just know they're with bonnie and they're fine but we'll see
