Why is this a thing? like every other person who has nothing better to do I was scrolling on Facebook and Whilst I was scrolling this little advertisement popped up called SenpaiMe Now, SenpaiMe says SenpaiMe is the number one dating app for anime, manga and cosplay fans available on iOS and Android Find your senpai. *gag* I never knew I wanted this (quietly) I don't want it. (louder) So you guys know what I did next right I carried along with my day and ignored it. I didn't I installed it. Before I go any further with this video there might be some of you who are thinking Wow, I'm gonna download this app while I watch the video. Don't do that. Don't don't do that Just watch the video. Before we jump right into it, let's have a look at how they're marketing this. Way to delete your profile 5 stars Now I'm not saying all the five star reviews are fake just a lot of them a lot of them are fake See if you see a split that is all 5 stars and all one stars You can be near certain that there are some fake reviews in there I'm not saying it's 100% fake reviews But there's definitely a good chance of that being the case when you get on the app You're prompted to log in with Facebook and they make it seem like the only way you can log in is via Facebook You don't have to do that. And I think there's a reason why for that we'll talk about that later on in the video Let's actually get in the app now and show you How that other guy mentioned the UI is so clear one thing you'll notice immediately After getting in this app is that it is exactly like tinder but much much worse. Not only does everything feel Extremely extremely clunky making your profile is a little annoying what you're gonna see right here These are my settings which are I've set my location to Vegas and 100 miles maximum cuz you know, I don't talk too far to me my laughter And I've shown that I want to be interested in women now funny enough I will still get matched with dudes who are over 6,000 miles away from me. Isn't that fun? And a lot of these profiles Still look fake as this video is a review of set app and is very much fair use I would like to give my opinion it's awful after five days of being on this app and Spending about an hour or two every day swiping yester. Literally anybody. I have not got a match now You could argue that I am the most unattractive person in the world of my profile just isn't what it needs to be to attract And you're probably right by saying that but not one match what one thing I notice about this app That was really strange and made me question whether my likes were even being registered Were that when I would like a ton of profiles in one session I would come back the next day Reopen the app and there would be the exact same profiles in the exact same order What the fuck? so not only did I not manage to match with anybody which I really really Wanted to because I wanted to talk to actual human being who was as stupid as me to download this app But I just wanted to see what kind of people were on here also When you open the app for the first time? You will be matched with men women regardless of what your preferences as it doesn't ask you the number what dating up father my fans Doesn't ask you what you're into now. This wouldn't be an issue If the app was marketed as like a making friends who like anime app, that would be completely fine And I wouldn't have any reason to spawn this out but its marketing itself like the number one dating app for anime fans out there Guys, it's pretty amazing Also, it sets your age preference and distance preference to the maximum possible from the get-go It was even giving me people who were 10,000 miles away from me, which I think is the other side of the world So as far away as possible from me So this app literally gives you every single profile on the app Now I imagine the reason thing is is that they have a small user Bass and they want to connect as many people as possible. So it doesn't seem like nobody is on there But that's inherently the problem with making a dating website Is that a dating website is make-or-break based on how many uses are available on said app? but offering terrible options to people who want to use the app is also a terrible idea because the moment they see that someone has 10,000 miles away and it keeps happening. They're gonna just uninstall the app because it's a waste of time I've come to the conclusion that I am unbeatable as a human being I was not even able to get one match in five days of swiping and Smashing the like button on literally anyone Including the 30 year old man who in 9,000 miles away from me. Maybe I got to stop learning the app and They are stop blaming myself for being just Disgusting on a serious note, let's discuss why this is never going to work as a concept for an hour You'll see on all of their advertising that they use everywhere. Are these three cosplay Asian girls now, that's fine I'm sure girls like that want to go on apps like this I'm not saying that but these are all stock photos that are free to for anyone to use So they obviously just typed in cute Asian cosplay girl stock photo free and then just stuck that on the advertising now, that's fine That's fine. There's nothing wrong with doing that but it's when you start marketing them as being on the app All this advertisement is is a weeaboo version of the hot single ladies in your area advertisement The reason is is because that kind of advertisement Only appeals to dudes who have a very specific taste in what they want and trust me those girls. Do not want that They don't now we all know on Instagram that you can message anybody's account and it will go to their message requests Inbox now Have you ever seen a cosplay girls message requests? It's really not pretty cosplay girls do not want to date you. Okay? I hate to do the guy say that but they don't I've definitely been there at one point in my life where I felt that my life would be Perfect if I found a partner who loved anime and being a huge weeb putting Precursors on finding a partner is just making it more difficult for yourself What why would you limit yourself to only somebody who likes anime if they love you they will like anime with you Hey, it's like 10 days in the future I'm sure this cut is a little jarring, but that's me editing me right there and I found something out That was too fun. Not to mention So I was editing this video as you can see and I wanted to compare senpaiMe's terms of service to other dating websites Just to see if it was kind of unusual, or irregular. Now senpaiMe took a little bit of inspiration From tinder with their app layout but what they also forgot to mention is that they took the whole damn Terms of Service As well at first I thought okay, maybe they you know, copied a paragraph or two. Alright, that's not cool. But you know The whole thing but no the whole the whole damn thing The whole entire thing is essentially it's just copied from tinder and they've control-f and replaced every mention of tinder, with SenpaiMe! You can't make this sh*t up! Now loads of people who make websites Take the Terms of Service of another website that is similar to theirs and put it on their own a lot of people do that That's the world we live in, people do it but the reality of the fact is is that that is a Copyrightable work. A Terms of Service is work that someone has done and it is theirs You can't just take it and just copy and paste it on your you can't do that Unless you know tinder says on the website that you can just take it It's it's free for anyone to use even for commercial uses or if maybe that Tinder used a free version I -- I don't know. All I know is that they have copied Tinder's Paragraph for paragraph without changing anything except for the name. Kowalski analysis this sh*t. Anyway back to old me Could you as the app owner argue that I am being a little unfair and that my criticism is a little too harsh Maybe maybe you could but when you are a budget tinder made for weeaboos, and you know damn well You're marketing towards in your Facebook post. I don't feel bad for doing it. To summarize my completely legal review. This is a bad app Do I recommend you download it? No, there is so many troll accounts on this site and have not even surprised There's no email or phone verification tinder requires you to verify a phone and as somebody who has tried to make multiple accounts on tinder for videos in the past that Is very difficult to work around the phone verification. They have a very good network That knows when you're using a fake phone number or a phone number that is public It's just very difficult to get fake accounts on there but this app you can go on 10 minute mail get an email address put it in put a stupid password in and you've got An account boom like that and you can make tons of accounts within an hour it's so easy for this website to even remotely work that needs to be heavy email and phone verification as well with a lot of Moderation on the side to get rid of any fake accounts that do slip through the cracks There are tons and tons of people on here with anime profile pictures, and it's a dating website I don't want a date Piko. I choose one of the cosplay girl. That would love me and respond to my creepy DMS every day Telling her how beautiful her feet are I think that's all I have for today I think I've given a thorough enough review And as that one guy on Facebook said they spent so much wondering if they could but they never asked themselves if they should Have a good day my weebs.
