Thinking with Portals! (New DLC Update!) - Forts RTS [155]

[Music] Lo and welcome back to forts where today we're gonna be showcasing another aspects of the the new moonshot DLC and this time we're gonna be playing around a lot with portals and as you guys know that we saw a little bit of portal action last time they were there but I didn't really build them didn't they showcase them this time well we're gonna be doing literally like brick we're going full portal which is probably a horrible horrible idea but we're gonna go for it anyways and I'm actually joined by a few friends on the discord here go ahead and say hi everyone hello there we have Bobby Wright Oh pyro and the frosty once more so the strategy that we're gonna be going for this time is like a fool of a very very full turtle built so I know I know a lot of you guys have been requesting this kind of build for a long time and I've just said no because I am a horribly aggressive person but we're gonna be embracing embracing at this time around and literally turning our entire base into a giant energy shield wall such that any portal or any projectile that enters the wall of portal will just kind of pass out the other side without without issues at all and that's that's we're gonna go for here see how long it takes the opponents to figure it out and then just to make matters worse we can do like in turtle portals so that all of our weapons can be inside and not exposed to anything ever and then just portal gun them outside into into the into space where the enemy for its are and this is actually going to take a lot of energy to do so let me go ahead and start working on this my book down upgrade Center first cuz I'm uh cuz I'm a horrible human being he's gonna go full turtle and nothing more to do than turtle don't do it go for it now if you're gonna actually be a lot of energy dad we actually know you could do you could haven't put your energy under your actually make me completely in old be impervious why do I have these ideas they're great ideas you shouldn't be ashamed of them absolutely robee robee and I think I'm I think the devs took away being able to connect to open or mine yeah you can't stomach you can't connect through the floor anymore uh kind of I guess so that's not actually floor you can that doesn't have collision back but I have my achievements yeah they did and an entirely new campaign which I didn't get to play through I want I was supposed to play through it before before it released and then I we just wasn't wasn't like home for the intellect - she's before him so that was that was fun so I didn't get to really do any playthroughs of it before so we'll have to tell have to go check on that later not that I'm usually big on single-player campaigns but will I get to have some fun with that a little bit later I'm sure the Lord knows if I don't do it you guys are gonna yell at me until we get to see it you're getting hit by buzzsaw what's going on here I'm slowly my power down to the bottom do it what is that sound okay or else have amazing noises I really like the audio not really ah there it is alright somebody go ahead and create some points here and this will be turbines and energy shields yeah I can I could see that I figured he's weirded out eventually I was about to say just oh just use them just use eerie armor but no no no that's cheating and I grabbed your way to the middle yeah pretty much alright so I've gone full economy at least as much economy as this mapping can handle is he yeah he's saw bleeding you careful with I don't think he's gonna let you gonna make sure connected that freely I'm gonna need to defend get to a question I have is where they're at to the trajectory things gonna be fine Oh yep gonna need to you're gonna get one of those I think should we get portals on the top to it I don't see any artillery weapons out of them so maybe they do not on that's very odd especially on this map I think you're gonna have to build that bridge out of metal that's what I'm not gonna make your life difficult yes oh good you might have a complicated with me if I don't you get the saw blades hit that though yeah boy shots they're not indestructible they just don't have collision on most things now you guys know o0 that sounds good yes I definitely chopped my energy production in half of these yep there goes that yeah you needed to have continued on that over there I was like the entire bridge is gone oh yeah you actually have to build that entire thing out of metal in order to survive but the buzz okay so for those who haven't seen portals before which is gonna be most most people who haven't actually played the game yet it works very much so like portal does it's got a blue side and orange side and I have these configured such that that comes at in one side and then out the other to the portal adjacent to it that way you can actually add any projectile comes in its going right back out which is unfortunate for the teammate in front of me because it'll work a lot like an energy shield which will just send it right back into his base but also it's go just gonna reflect anything that comes up this way so I'm more or less invulnerable here with double shield this and then start working on our artillery trajectory of weapons which don't have connected here it's great that's not my face that's pyro space yeah needs to be metal or that's just gonna get sliced every time is it hit because those hit background bracing so if you put back on bracing it but actually you could just hang on a sniper and never let him build things I'll try it I have to probably get an AP sniper at some point all right so I'm not very much done the exact opposite I've just made it go all the way from the base just because it's gonna be easier for I'm doing this right gather the wall come down slower start doing the same thing yeah so I'm gonna be building a bunch of howitzers which are the new artillery weapon I may even try to pursue them oh I have negative free energy nope that's good don't do that yeah ah that sound I know I should have upgraded that yeah alright so they missed horribly it's time for anti-air a lot of it I have +19 energy gonna be a problem yes I do I'm going to disable with you oh I disable now that either is so much constructing additional pylons so now I've got a lot of anti-air you guys were wondering how does my artillery weapon fire I'm gonna build portals actually can the portal go this full distance I don't think it can it can expensive it's gonna be so expensive energy plenty of portals to work on here let's go ahead and just slap you right there well if you're ever interested in making a perfect box just grab a portal and drag with it all right so now we can actually shoot these howitzer cannons down no it's our shells there it goes shut that down they're starting to see a cannon it oh dear okay go out the middle like open door yes you can you can treat the portals a lot like wooden doors just manually open and close them that way you can defend your that way you can just have a portal open for a short short two three four moments I feel like that's something swing it over look to fight a lot which is oh okay all of my portals just turned off because I yeah that's what I just need I feel my a secondary texture sure that hey welcome welcome to own in the middle so if you can turn that entire thing into portals that would be great I know see if I can start firing over welcome to owning medal I think I did this wrong whoops I'm gonna do this geez these are not gonna be usable anymore it's fine [Music] I may just do normal cameras I'm not sure yet I haven't decided I think does not like that does not like that at all okay so let's see about firing super low power at this nothing about ya know they're gonna shoot down my projectile do we have a hey guys you guys don't have a thing if this goes right through the back hits back time person that's it I'm also a nice level a shoots through portals so if it's behind doors or alright let's do this up and over and do they shoot it down again probably he's no dear that's gonna go down there's a lot of difference it does go hard enough that's oh there was a little bit of that that's great we'll get another one of these up and running they are not going to be touching my base anytime soon your base is sent over hey it's trying it's done - Arthur it's not rethinking my basic separator but I could just a sit here in sole purpose is to it does work sweet widows yeah that nuke is hitting technically friendly middle be careful movie wait till the portals are so then you can go right through it although I'm gonna be doing up at least one two three four five six I think it's for the sixth awesome magenta I mean I don't really blame him oh well that's it's here to reflect did not expect that one I can do - I got pens on you - phenols no of course there's shotgun but it doesn't right I'm talking like I have enough energy for this oh wait I guess I do i I have 95 and five they have a tiered reflect what yes oh my god that's actually really powerful cuz it's just spreading around my entire basin telling everyone it is how does it otherwise I came back down uh yeah if I mean if you set it to its infinite range not something typically see wait dinner orders collided they did yeah that's why I think he's targeting me now shut that off real quick yes yes he is targeting me oh no all right so I need to do something different here I may need to have these uh mainly people okay I'm launching your fries now oh no it don't know you're gonna need to anti-air pyro I can't I can't defend you forever what did you do I'm not sure although my tier 3 killed some of this language that's good I don't know what happened blow yourself up with your on to 3 now it cannon explode because of the flak I wonder flak that in there I'd actually been through alright so in order for us to hope pyro I think you're gonna have to portal both sides of that thing or at least enough of the left side to go to the right which is gonna be difficult yeah I think it may be better just to let us just to let us go all the way through the thing where I sell off what you need for resources I think they're gonna what yeah all right pyro I'm gonna start firing across the top of that Oh excuse who I just saw something they could shoot you could um get a magazine to target one part of the wall more of a higher spot and then we shoot over it but it arcs the cannons over and down whatever I don't have any weapon all right go through make it make it yes oh wow oh that's a good hit look at these they're they're fully inside and protected and still boy definitely Eric portals math jeopardy for now the top yep hit the same spot okay meet aim a little bit higher with those I probably should have done that design rather they just might fail Oh Magda beam and I think it's destroy than that thing all right it's a little bit there's good Oh lower or higher one of the two I feel tired because he is because everyone he's him a black guy yes black guy is criminal yeah I think he got Aflac telling me I'm pretty sure that's a deaf type slack yeah the worst way to go definition gets here oh yeah and the Magna meme I forgot on the tracks I'm waiting for that away and I'm shops so it like even if it's friendly or not it um it basically packs with the position so it was pretty cool that's kind of new twists it attracts everything cannabis tonight I'm guessing you may be able to snipers sure low though you may be able to I think if you give that sniper higher fun oh I'm just Magda beams my shuttle right no nice nuke oh and now it'll attract everything to it so it's attacking his back oh he's pork teammate he closed the doors mid fire to make sure didn't kill his teammate that was actually pretty pretty good work on his part mmm only if my teammate fire again my own there we go slaughter all the things they can we go for the sign of the PS it could be a joke that was in the house oh wow he stuck all about right back at myself Oh any explode something yeah you got a hit through one of my weapon portals before I shove it yeah look I got a smoke bomb which also couldn't repair his a fire like that because it disables you from your burning fire no Papa Smurf ones worth he was correctly can be very devastating these howitzers are so strong guys it's just the explosions so satisfying that is I like it oh I got hit in his core and on his tech facilities there a sniper he defects tonight this text that I just let it be how you doing pyro still sniping at that guy yes there we go yeah come on yeah there there's papers and so I think that's something I'll have to keep an eye on and it's here but it's just right up there oh my gosh it's the nice [Music] you got a black key one of my one of my weapon portals that hurts so much guys yeah if you go and render my corks these portals reflecting everything is just hilarious there we go click hold oh look that up shut this down let's go I just got back with this guy as well yep cannon right back oh that would right there his weapon portal right into his court that was a nice that was nice that really just happen number two motors there go the Tier three flak oh that was that was nice yeah just the refire so the random variable have GG alright guys if you want to see more
