Mass Effect, Custom Subtitles, Bullet Time, Ship Skip! | Starfield Mods Episode 2

in this video I've got a whole bunch of new star field mods to show off featuring a mix of cosmetic mods quality of life changes and entirely new and overhauled gameplay features on my script here I've got 10 bullet points for the 10 main mods I want to cover but most of these actually include an additional mod that pairs really well with its Originals somewhere like 15 16 mods we're covering today real quick I just want to say thanks for the support on the last mods video it was the first mod showcase for a game I've ever done and I feel like it turned out pretty well I covered things like Star UI achievement enabler and undelayed menus tons of great mods so go check it out if you haven't seen it anyway let's get started first up is a mod called scanner encumbrance display with Time by yaddleberry in the vanilla game activating your scanner will show some useful details on your watch about the location you're currently in this includes the gravity O2 levels temperature and the name of the planet in this mod however the watch is reorganized so you can still see all that useful info but now it also displays your character's current and total mass as well as the local and universal time being able to see the time is a very nice addition but I mainly downloaded this just for the encumbrance aspect so when I'm going around looting things all I have to do is hit my scanner button and I'm instantly aware of when I'm getting close to hitting that limit it's such a small change but it means less opening my inventory and that to me is a huge plus if you've built Commander Shepard's Normandy sr2 in Starfield and you're looking to get even more into character these next two mods are perfect for you we've got the Mass Effect N7 Armory texture mod from Scotty US1 or scottius and this takes the constellation armor set which you acquire pretty early on in the game and gives it a nice cosmetic makeover into a black and red palette featuring The N7 logo on the shoulder helmet and chest the constellation suit is a classic look and I've been rocking this design for a while now but if you want a more authentic retexture look no further than the Mass Effect mod that replaces the starborn and mantis armor by akasen it looks super clean and because of the base armor use for this free Texture the Boost pack is built into the armor and it makes it look even better to play in third person when it comes to Mass Effect all we really need now is the Mako and you know a Liara skin for one of my companions would be nice next up is the ship skip mod by bub 200. as the mods description says this removes the painfully slow docking cutscenes and features the ability to remove ground landing and take off animations while there is still a bit of loading required for transitioning between space and a planet's surface the docking really is instant take a look and we are locked in Starfield is a great game but it was immediately apparent how slow some of the animations and cutscenes can be so this mod really saves you a lot of time originally this was bundled with the fast animations mod by the same Creator but they're separate now so if you want things like using doors climbing ladders and sitting down to be sped up you can find this fast interaction animations mod included in the description if you're looking to upgrade your fashion game you should check out these two mods first we've got the Catwoman and dressless Andrea mod by sniper name g despite how the name might sound this replaces the stealth operative suit with a black jacket and pants to give you that very clean assassin look and it also adds a bonus dressless version of Andrea's normal outfits both are something you can Equip to your own players well not just Andrea and I think the Catwoman outfit looks stunning because of the way the outfit was designed though I wouldn't recommend using this with a character whose proportions are vastly outside of Andreas otherwise you're going to run into clipping issues and it probably won't look great to further embrace the Assassin look the creator has also made a separate mod to go along with this called wearable black beanie and mask this mod adds a version of each of those items for both male and female combine this with the operative stealth suit retexture and it's going to look like you just stepped out into the set of a new spy movie Next comes a gameplay feature that you might be familiar with if you modded previous Bethesda titles and that's the bullet time mod by airwall at the Press of a button you can instantly slow down time to either 25 50 or 70 time dilation depending on which version of the file you downloaded and then you can return to normal speed instantly it's pretty cool to be able to see some of the animations in this game in slow motion and it makes you feel so badass activating it at will it's possible there will be versions of this mod that consume oxygen to balance it out sort of like the bullet Time mods consume stamina and Fallout but that won't happen until the creation kit is released according to the Creator looking at the script here I realize this section is really short and I wish I had more to say on it but it it's bullet time you know like what more do you want the next mod is a retexture for the Hunter's armor visor and it adds one of the most iconic designs that's ever existed in gaming and that is the Halo reach a meal helmet it may be simple but it takes this armor from cool to hell yeah hopefully one day I can have the entirety of noble team as my ship's crew if you're looking for more accessibility options when it comes to dialogue and subtitles these next two mods should get the job done here we've got the enhanced dialog interface mod by Seb 263 which adds several different variations to the dialog selection screen the black background to the text may be easier to read in some areas but I much prefer the less distracting drop shadow and rounded white bubble to identify your selection the mod is fully customizable and you can change between different fonts colors and styles to fully replicate The Fallout dialog interface or something much more retro sci-fi the only downside is you'll have to edit the parameters through the any file and it's not as simple as just selecting a different style it is possible in the future that there will be different presets you can easily swap to but for now you'll have to edit them manually which is something I didn't really even bother with because I really like the default design that the mod comes with if you decide to try this out you might as well consider pairing it with seb's enhanced subtitles mod similar to the dialog interface this will swap the black bars for the drop shadow effect and it too is customizable considering how much dialogue there is in the game and how much time you spend reading it you might as well make it look pretty right next let's take a look at a mod called icon sorting Tags by McGuffin this mod adds an icon onto every item and it's a super easy way to immediately identify what an item is without even needing to read the name of it this can be incredibly helpful if you loot everything or if you hoard a lot of stuff and once you familiarize yourself with the custom icons it's like how did this game launch without this this next mod is going to be slightly immersion breaking but even if it's a little goofy it definitely gives you some freedom to play exactly how you want and that's the hide spacesuit anywhere mod by moonling it does exactly what it says and allows you to roam around planets and moons without your character being covered by a spacesuit and helmet technically the spacesuit and helmet are just equipped it's just not going to show as long as you have the option selected maybe you've got some really cool mods installed that re-texture your apparel and you want to take some awesome screenshots but don't want to be suffering with a blurry screen this is perfect for that in a previous video I covered the awesome Galactic conversion mod which replaces all the UC security guard uniforms with stormtrooper armor and while we haven't gotten the rebel uniform update yet we do have three additional mods that add to the galactic Empire's presence in Starfield first is the name replacement mod by mantelice this changes the speaker's name from UC security guard to Stormtrooper it also renames the UC security uniform to stormtrooper armor turns the Freestar Mission terminal into the Rebel Alliance Mission board and even changes the names of NPC ships in space go ahead second we have the Galactic Empire flag mod by user sethrium which replaces all the flags in New atlantis's Mass district with the Imperial Insignia this mod has several different colored flags and variations to choose from but I think the black and white one looks the best and thirdly we have the Stormtrooper voice lines mod also by mantalice which adds about 100 voice lines for both male and female Stormtroopers each replacing certain words with Star Wars terms and making the role-playing element that much more believable here have a listen face maintain course and prepare to be scanned ever wonder how the rebels seem to be everywhere it's because they have little outposts everywhere there were so many facilities abandoned after the Clone Wars the rebels used them as forward operating bases all over the Galaxy if you made it to the end of this video thank you not many people do I put a ton of work
