alright YouTube fam I know this video has been a long time coming a long time coming it's worth it stick with it to the end the winner of the Eli Tomac numberplate will be announced in this video let's freaking go bikes good it's really good let's go and good morning day to you Monta banks haha I love this thing all right let's get the smartcard out so what our boys over at smart card we're telling me is so we talked about this in the past video with this air venturi how it is absolutely 100% the whole reason this carb is amazing is this air vent right here so this being a 38 millimeter it's quite a bit bigger of a carb then say what is on yz250 normally I think those are thirty Six's but we have to make sure that this is clearance right here where the air boot attaches and with no lighting let's see if I can nope let me get a light so I got a little light ski so there's that rib right it's on every air filter boot in history and so we need to get in here with a little I have a little flapper disc and take that top casting right there where it meets the carburetor I need to take that down and just kind of shape it a little bit so it clears the air venturi on our smart carb so not a big deal I just need to kind of take some measurements about how wide this thing is and I need to know exactly where it's gonna be sitting in proportion to our 325 head so it doesn't accidentally rotate one way or rotate this way where it's going to block off those air vents so that as of right now if there was to be a flaw with any of my build is that I have to trim a little bit out obviously you can run it he told me that you can run it without trimming that but if you want this thing to work absolutely as described and and in performance that's something we have to do is just take a little little trim out of the of a little casting inside there so I'm gonna do that I'm gonna take a little measurement and then the plan is plan is we're gonna get our carbon your throttle tube mounted we're going to get our intake in and just get this thing on fire it up run some water some gas and you know well through it and yeah I just I want to hear this thing ping then I just something to do things like I got our so our brake hanger is powder-coated the disc guard is anodized and the top is Sarah Koh I think that's kind of cool it's like the best of all three coatings we're gonna see which one stays in the best condition for the longest because I kind of want to know and then obviously the rest of this is all powder coat and anodized mix as well but no other seracote so I'm really really excited enough chatting let's get the carburetor in let's get that little piece filed down get an air filter in it and see if it'll pop over for us which I'm sure it will all right guys so essentially all I did was I took this air diagram to write with a little flapper disc and this thing's real real soft it's like 800 600 grit something really really light and what we did was so yeah we just took down get the acronym for either so you can see how that casting comes down all the way around well it used to come all the way around now I haven't shaved down right there and that's gonna allow us to make sure that that air venturi is not plugged at all and so we can throw this back on but in the meantime I'm gonna throw on my intake shock and other things all right YouTube fans to check it out we're at like some random place outside for us now just some crazy freaking wrecking yard of motorcycles and dirt bikes and I had my fingers crossed hoping I'd come here and find suspension for the worst bike on Craigslist you guys won't believe this like unless I showed you on video right here we freakin go and look at all this guys right so like bolt cr250 s Kawasaki Zhu keys you name it right I'm just kind of back here going through stuff like there's a CR 85 there's like a I don't know 2004 y'see I'm like oh man some newer frames in here and guys one went freakin fine try not to get too loud about this there's people shopping and eleven yz250 yes and you know we are grabbing this rear shock freaking now let's go is one Triple S shock for a 2011 yz250 F with the 17 millimeter shout I think I'd be perfect this place guys this place that we just discovered here in Fresno is legit and the best thing is I found the matching that came on this thing - boys and girls I'm just so excited right now like you have no friggin idea right so you got this shotgun obviously it looks a little a little worse for the wear it's a little rusty but no big deal is saying is gonna be perfect like literally guys were just I saw like some weird random like psycho salvage place just outside of Fresno South a Fresno I was like oh we'll send it see if they have anything for a y'see hopefully that suspension cuz that's what we need guys it's what we need Oh big shout out guys I'm like in shock right now I've been searching and shopping eBay for months months for the worst bike on Craigslist right I mean I've just been shopping because I can't find a set I'm sorry about the glare guys I cannot find a set of triple s front forks with the triple clamps and the rear shock for under a thousand bucks like I just can't I can't find it anywhere and it's not that I'm a cheap ass but I did not want to sink a bunch of money into suspension that truly I don't know if it's even gonna really work well on that chassis but guys it's back there I mean I just had this hunch I'm on my way to to Madera right now because me and the team we fly out tomorrow morning to Fresno our file out tomorrow morning the president we fly out tomorrow morning out of Oakland to Daytona and in which case you know I'm gonna be over there for two weeks we're gonna do the whole Daytona racing then we're gonna stay on Stewarts ranch and then we're gonna go to Indianapolis and race there and then I'm gonna be back home and then I could finally finish the y-z 325 I'm really pumped guys is so freakin amazing that's a one-in-a-million shot you go buy lotto ticket right now like where's all right guys so last thing you saw we got our new front end over there and Fresno really cool cycle size place so well I'm getting these things apart so I get them fitted on I'm back from Daytona and I was meant to meet a lot of you guys hit me up to meet up an Indy got cancelled because of the coronavirus guys I'm so sorry obviously I'm not in control of any of that but you know I'm bummed I couldn't meet you guys so but this gives me some time to work back on the bike guys I'm really excited about this I got the electrical system hooked up and we check spark we got spark I got all the things here to build my wheels which I'm gonna do that so right now I'm just mocking up the front end I don't know what mocking up there's gonna be but I'm excited I got some Triple S Forks for this really excited so I'm gonna get this stuff mounted up the goal is and I think it's a very very reasonable goal is to get this thing started today let's freaking go so guys if you want to do this similar conversion putting on the triple-s front end onto your earlier 2000 2001 Y Z Raven the 2002 it's all the steel frames cool thing is all balls racing has a conversion bearing kit upper bearing and lower bearing so really cool so just also give you guys a heads up what we're doing obviously we're setting off the suspension to get done so yes I realized the fork seals are blown and messy but I want to get everything as a rolling running bike today then I could send off the suspension and finish all the little things but the goal is to get this thing started you think guys I really want to fire up this pig it's been way too long so we're gonna keep plugging we're gonna get the front end all together I got start building wheels and Roberts gonna help out and he's gonna help just start getting some of the other little things together get the you know chain guides guards get the brake lines ran change over the rear shock to the new Triple S rear shock and yeah guys we're just gonna keep plugging so you'll keep seeing footage pop in and out but it's she's gonna run today let's go suck down the clamp set we need to pull them up big-time so oh I know I just mean this this rig here from it looks very dumb because up front pushed out we got stuck these things up in the clamps I was just just compared to literally just through these Forks together at the at the wrecking yard okay I was like oh you know what you give these things together and out of here before alright guys so it's been a couple days I've been working on this thing like pretty much non-stop it's really not as easy as a lot of you think so turning a 2000 chassis into a essentially brand-new because we're using a lot like brand new parts and stuff like that there's a lot of fabric coublon that needs to go on so having said that let me show you where she's at pretty stoked on it right now there's a few things I obviously still want to tweak on but I'll show you here we are right now guys so behind the lens but you guys haven't been seeing is just a lot of assembly routing of lines cables electronics getting the tank fuel lines ya chain new rear wheel bearings obviously putting in the new pivot works caliper rebuild kit now getting this triple s shock to fit took some work they do not just drop in you have to change out the collar to the 2000 and 2001 style collar and then you do need to take just a little notch out of one of the spacers so it clears the swingarm so that is by far the ugliest part on the bike but it's fine we're gonna send that stuff off and get it all done so but other than that guys like she's just coming along swimmingly over there I have another front wheel that I still need to build up front here I had to press my stem out of the original 250 clamp and put it into the O 5 clamp o 6 actually I don't know why I said that but oh six lower clamp and then it's a Kawasaki upper clamp that is I did some research online it's a little skinnier allows you to get all the way get more of a thread purchase up top there so everything's going great guys I mean really I couldn't ask for anything better I haven't fired it up yet I still need to put oil and coolant in it but that's how far away it is right now I need to rebuild the front brake master cylinder and then I need to that calpers is actually brand new I got a new old stock out of the package on the eBay was a really good deal so I went for it and put on our new All Balls hope it works I can remember who makes it bell look front brake cable I do not have fork guards I need to source some for girls I can't believe it out of everything where I'm at right now it's fort guards I'm missing but I might have some laying around the house so I'll definitely have to go take a look but this is where she's at right now I'm gonna get some front brakes on her and then we're gonna start the little final touches getting the graphics on these era moto graphics as you're gonna look amazing like I haven't I've only seen you know the cat images that Nowak sends over from era to kind of give you an idea what your bikes gonna look like but guys maybe sacrilege to a lot of you but getting this FMF pipe powder-coated black I think will be just beautiful in the end I know a lot of people are like oh but it was raw or it was nickel and look good as it was now I wanted it black I do have a new Kickstarter coming for it this is just so we can fire it up and run it through a couple heat cycles but yeah I'm gonna get started on the front here rear end came together really good tusk wheel looks fantastic with the OEM hubs I Illuma bright at the hub's obviously new spokes nipples all that good stuff the this is a tusk rotor over here with the guard I think it just looks spectacular guys I mean I'm digging I'm digging how this thing's coming together obviously the 2,000 yz250 s did not come with extra wide foot pegs so I had to find some and they came off of I think in oh six yz250 or something like that and they fit fine new pins I just need to put in the springs I haven't put in the cottage at the bottom it was just it was just to get him on yeah everything's brand new guys this is going really really great so I'm gonna keep plugging and next time you see here we should be about time to fire this pig up hopefully take it for a little jog around the block run some heat through it alright guys so we're we're at right now basically a the bike is done got the front end is all on so there is gonna be things that you guys are going to see like the shock spring that obviously are not coated yet we wanted to get everything fitted I don't even know what's sag to run this thing out because of all the research that I've done no one has yet put a Triple S rear shock with the 70 millimeter shaft on a 2000 2001 yz250 so there was little to no research to go off of Andra shock so a lot of that's gonna have to be trial and error so yeah we got basically everything ready to start up for the first time pretty I'm getting really excited right now about that and then for right now we are just gonna be running my stock it's a like an OE Oh saying something like that front wheel because of the spacers everything fit fine because I'm waiting on a spoke kit so I can build up the other test front wheel with the Dunlop tire to really complete this thing so but I know that you guys wanted this video very very bad so what we're gonna do now as a final step guys we're gonna get these graphics on so let's frickin go and then we're going to fire this thing out put it around the block run a heat cycle or two through it it's gonna be pretty good let's go [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] done it so I've already explained to you still gonna send up this and get the shock spring done yes just a precursor I am Vinod 5% installed on the gas tank I don't know if I love it we'll see if it grows on me I kind of want to go back to the stock one the 2000-2001 tank or just try normal capacity tank and see if that fits any better I know the seat has ripples in it you guys are just gonna have to get over for now until I can restructure struct of the Y Z 325 I hope you guys dig it smash that like button it's finally getting done let's go yeah check out boys have you seen a prettier 2000-2001 yz250 I know some of you guys have seen some pretty nice bikes but personally I think she's pretty good I think she came out dashing yeah I want to hear this thing purr let's forward to and I'm looking forward to logging in sometime on this thing and really testing it out and and seeing like what's awesome about it and really bringing that over to you guys and letting you know what I love so much but I gotta tell you straight out right over like that smart carb is like fuel injection it is instantaneous and no bog I ran it through a couple heat cycles already and guys I can just tell you it's nothing like any other two-stroke I've ever owned it is instantaneous and it is just very responsive I'll just leave it at that right it's very very responsive so guys so many still is a lot on Instagram at London Mex obviously that you guys will see from this bike in the future obviously when I get like the front wheel and the suspension done and all just all the other trinkets I wasn't able to finish in this video we're all gonna have it done so definitely be on the lookout for future videos or Instagram posts on this thing at London Mex like I said and then yeah
