beat the Wall of Flesh so today I have the top five things to do before you enter hard mode doing these things will help you as you progress into hard mode and will be of use even past the moon Lord let's dive straight into it [Music] one of the biggest issues that a player faces until Plantera is defeated is the rapid spread of hallowed corruption and Crimson if allowed to spread these biomes can make it harder to get around your world and aside from the hallowed aren't the most aesthetically pleasing looking biomes either a real simple solution to this however is to create elevators on either side of your main base as well as on each side of any areas you wish to keep clean of these biomes simply create a six block wide tunnel that goes down to Hell to stop these bands from crossing over this can be done with a pickaxe and a mining poster however it's much easier to buy some bumps from the demolitionist as they create a whole exactly six bucks wide next up on our list we have a jungle Farm the jungle is very useful as it contains quite a few resources that you'll want to get your hands on as you progress through hard mode that's why creating rolls of blocks with three blocks between them and planting jungle seeds is an excellent idea as it allows all sorts of useful things to spawn which will be very handy during your playthrough you can collect powerful jungle bait from all the plants that will grow this bait can be used while fishing and improves your chance of touching some good items it also allows countless Plantera bulbs to spawn which is much easier than aimlessly flying through the underground jungle looking for one and finally you'll be able to grab life fruits once the mick bosses have been defeated which helps to boost your health by an extra 100 points halfway through we have a man-made fishing spot while fishing isn't everybody's favorite pastime in Terraria it is worth considering as it is a very powerful shortcut to get a bunch of great items early on such as weapons tools and items a fishing spot must be at least 300 blocks of water otherwise you'll receive a penalty for fishing there and will be limited on the speed you receive items you want to dig a hole in the ground that is 15 blocks deep and 20 blocks across then to easily fill it with water create a u-shape above it from whatever block you like and Hammer one side till it's at half height then use a single bucket of water on the half block the bucket will then keep filling itself while also pouring more and more water into the hole continuing on we have a sky Bridge as you go into hard mode you might not have lots of money or your NPCs might not be sorted out yet so before you begin to work in gathering pylons it's best to create a simple wooden platform Bridge across your world this can be done with only platforms or better yet you can use a roller coaster for extra speed as mentioned it makes traveling through the world much easier as you start off in hard mode and with wooden platforms underneath your roller coaster it means you're able to collect fallen stars while you travel this process is relatively cheap and can be done quicker if you use a building potion while it is a bit mundane at times it's definitely a worthy investment and finally we have a soul Farm by far one of the most important things to do is you enter hard mode is to collect souls and other useful resources on the ground instead of running around in closed caves you can create a soul Farm which makes Gathering these drops much easier and much more time efficient first off you need to create a massive space on the ground either by mining or using bombs aim to create this space at roughly 170 blocks wide and 100 blocks high in the middle of this space on the ground you'll want to build a small pyramid with hammered edges so that enemies can easily walk up into the middle hollow out a bit of the middle and place a thin layer of lava down with a single bucket then create a little space below this for you to stand in some mobs Target you and drop down leaving you to collect the loot the only con to this is when biomimics appear as they can fade through blocks however this is still a really efficient way to gauge some powerful underground loot in early hard mode and there we have it that is five useful things to do before you enter hard mode
