foreign the children of the field the quick folk also known as the hen are a common sight in the cities and towns of Theron born Stout of heart in light of foot the halflings are fantastic people of joy and kindness welcome back friends I'm Rogue and today we are going to be taking a look at the halflings of Baldur's Gate 3. the halflings are split into two sub-races but as is becoming customary I want to touch on what all halflings receive as a whole before looking at the individual sub-races halflings are quick to react to danger and light on their feet making them remarkable acrobats and agile Scouts this natural agility comes in the form of a plus two to dexterity increasing their chance of going first in combat awarding them a slightly higher Armor class and making them skilled with weapons of finesse and precision with dexterity at the Forefront of their racial abilities the halflings excel at being Rogues and Rangers foreign s are grounded in reason and logic and typically good-natured with a strong moral fiber and with these traits comes a resistance to fear being small of size and what some would consider easy prey the halflings of Torah are no stranger to staring down Terror with a Steely gaze surprisingly Brave the halflings of Baldur's Gate 3 receive Advantage versus fear or being frightened allowing them to stand strong in the face of danger the halfling people have a mysticism about them something unique that isn't shared or even relatable to any other race on faerun why is it that a halfling is able to remain unnoticed when his entire party is surrounded or have the right item needed for the job simply in his nasty little pocket says because the halflings of Toro have Lady Luck on their side this luck comes in the form of being allowed the opportunity to re-roll any natural one now they must take the following role but this typically doesn't dissuade a halfling from attempting the near impossible this X Factor allows the halfling to dare to be bold to cast caution to the wind in the most dangerous of situations and go all in when all else seems lost okay let's take a look at the sub-races of the halfling the light foot halfling are commonly the most encountered of the hen this is due to their famous wonderlust and desire to see what lies around the next Bend they are the most comfortable living among the road and amongst the other racial cultures this love of life and Adventure hasn't always given them the best impression with other races who sometimes view them as unreliable and easily distracted the light foot tends to be more socially inclined this is due to their wonderlust and desire to travel the world and engage with its many people the social inclination comes in the form of a plus one Charisma making the Lightfoot an excellent choice for Bard's Sorcerers and even warlocks armed with the desire to explore and interact sometimes leads to Danger due to this simple fact The Lightfoot takes advantage of their small stature and has adapted a natural Affinity to stealth in Baldur's Gate 3 all Lightfoot halflings are proficient in the stealth scale regardless of their background or class the strong heart halfling also known as the Stout are typically slightly shorter and heartier than their light foot Brethren these traditionalist halflings build tight-knit communities that have a strong emphasis on cooperation and teamwork easy going and difficult to anger they are often stereotyped as fat and lazy by other racists this is due to their love of comfort and Fine Foods however they are simply a calm in patient people more concerned with helping their Community Prosper than the political agenda of the outside world the strong heart halflings have a natural resilience to poison probably due to all that Fine Food and Ale making them resistant to poison damage and granting them Advantage when faced with a poisonous substance with little fear of poisoning themselves this resistance makes them great Brewers and Alchemists but it also has its uses in the adventuring world contrary to their small stature the strong heart halflings are naturally Stout and durable this comes in the form of a plus one to Constitution and with it additional hit points and a hearty frame this makes him suitable Fighters and barbarians Rangers and even sturdy spellcasters the halflings are a fantastic race for players looking for a Nimble and Earnest hero regardless of your profession or class the halfling can fill almost any role within an adventuring Group Well my friends thank you for your time I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll talk to you guys later goodbye foreign
