ladies and gentlemen are you ready to build the world's fastest gaming PC because I know I am I've got hold of the ryzen 9 7 950x3d and of course our magical RTX 4c90 and we're gonna combine them together as always we're going to be showing you the full build process from start to finish including everything that's halts and everything that's not we'll be showing exactly how easy or difficult this thing is to build and then of course at the end of the video we'll be showing you the gameplay benchmarks so you can actually see what the best gaming PC in the world looks and plays like is going to be pretty hot or if the caller works pretty chill so join me as we explore the world's fastest gaming PC after a short word from this video sponsor msi's Optics gaming monitors are here to take your gaming to the next level the mpg 32 1ul QD packs 4K resolution 144hz refresh rate and HDR technology all inside a gorgeous 32-inch form factor it is perfect for both PC gaming and next-gen consoles as the man that supports DisplayPort as well as HDMI 2.1 along with variable refresh rate Tech which is fully rated as g-sync compatible learn more today with the link below the star of the show today is of course this the ryzen 9 7 950x3d and if you do want a gaming PC that can do literally everything but it's still very much focused for gaming or maybe game streaming then this is pretty much the CPU you're going to have your eyes on it's not the cheapest thing in the world the price of this is around about 600 to 700 pounds depending on when and where you get it from but the big difference with this is that it does actually have a 3D V cache and what that essentially means is that you've got extra cash that's actually stacked on top of each other hence the name 3D and AMD have already shown off benchmarks for this that actually show this getting like up to 30 even 40 performance gains in certain titles but it's not I don't believe those benchmarks but they're in 1080P which I think with a CPU like this especially with an RTX 4090 is a pretty silly comparison to make I've actually already made a video there that shows the differences between this and the stand standard X version in real world titles at 1440p 4K Ray tracing you can find that video in the top right corner of your screen but it does show that this is actually still a much much stronger CPU in a fair few titles versus the standard X version compared to Intel it does actually look as if this is going to be faster but it is still slightly head-to-head there will be some games that Intel will actually beat this but I would say it's fair to say that in the majority of them this should tie with them or be ever so slightly faster I guess this is a video we'll just have to make at a later date get subscribed so you don't miss it the motherboard that we're using for this is suitably high end in fact dare I say this is very much Overkill but this is definitely an Overkill CPU and this is very much a motherboard for people that want pretty much everything you can see the amount of features on this is pretty insane it's actually a fair bit larger than your standard motherboard you have a little bit of extra width you can see this is normally where most motherboards will end but this is e80x but you've got support for PSI generation 5 on not only the SSD but also some of the graphic slots as well so this is a very future-proof ball Awards we've talked about future proofing in the past but actually at the moment it kind of does make some sense if you're going for AMD because this is a platform that you'll be able to upgrade hopefully for quite a few years so maybe you can grab like a eight or nine thousand series CPU do a bias update and then essentially you've got a more up-to-date rig because here's the truth right despite the fact that we're using the world's fastest gaming CPU this is still going to bottleneck our RTX 4090 in certain titles especially if you're playing at 1440p so this is almost a little bit of a devil at the moment because while the performance on this is insane the CPU does struggle to keep up in certain situations let's grab our ryzen CPU and actually take this out of the box and you can see it doesn't come with any form of cooler and interestingly enough you won't actually need such a high-end one and a standard X version of this this is slightly lower clocked so I guess it uses less power the TDP I think this is 110 it was at 120 watts so especially when you compare it to the 3900k or the ks this is actually pretty much going to use like half the power especially if you're going to overclock the Intel or use so much less power so you don't actually need such a high end cooling solution and obviously this can save you a bit of money in the long run but if you're spending this much money on components that's probably not your top priority anyway let's open up our CPU slot on the motherboard and remember that it is an LGA motherboard now because AMD have moved the pins from the CPU to the motherboard itself and this is a great opportunity to actually say that this has not been updated to support this ryzen CPU yet but as long as you're buying a motherboard that does support USB bios flashback or something with a similar name then you can actually do this without having to have an old CPU in order to get into the BIOS and actually update the old-fashioned way and we'll be showing you exactly how this works later but it is actually very straightforward you have this little button up here on the gigabyte board that says Q flash plus and as long as you have a fat 32 drive with the new bios labeled exactly the right name you just put it in here power it on and then press this little button and then wait for a light to go out then your motherboard is actually ready to turn on and your new gaming PC can begin with these brand new 3D CPUs pressing on to step number two and we have our memory or our RAM and it is worth bearing in mind that if you're going for am5 you should really be looking for a kit that says AMD Expo on it just because it means that compatibility should be better the Intel XMP ones do work but anything over 6000 megahertz on Intel XMP tends to be a little bit funny and doesn't always work so I'd advise looking for this little red logo this is a kit from Corsair it's their dominated ddr5 comes in black or white and it is very expensive but as you can clearly see this is one-off if not the most attractive Kidder memory on the market if I was building myself a dedicated gaming PC I'd probably look for something a little bit cheaper but for the ultimate gaming PC I think we've got to go with this let's open up slots two and four and then gently line up our memory with those slots and give it a good push home I know I say this every video but is the best noise ever then we can press on to our SSD this is the 980 Pro they do actually do a 990 Pro as well but to be honest if the price was quite a lot cheaper I'd probably go for the 980 but it depends really what you need for gaming at the moment anything over 5000 tends to be The Sweet Spot really but obviously again if you're going for a super high-end PC especially with direct storage this should actually come in handy in the coming years still no sign of those mysterious PCI Gen 5 ssds though we were promised them last year yet they haven't turned up if I was a betting man I'd actually say it's got something to do with thermals but I guess we'll have to wait and see watch this space well watch this channel get subscribed if you're not already remove this protective peel from the underside and actually from the top as well it does look as if last time I built on this I forgot to take that off maybe I had a heatsink on it already I'm not stupid most of the time but we just drop this in use the quick release and then put the heatsink back on top The Next Step before we put this inside our chassis is to actually open up our cooler box to see if there's any hardware that we need to put on the motherboard because it's always easier to do this now and the Ryu is actually a really interesting cooler because Asus were one of the first to actually put a display on their cooler I don't know if you remember but they released the origi Thor power supply and the first gen of this pretty much at the same time both of which had screens on and this seems to have caught on and everyone seems to be making them power supplies not quite so much but let's pop this down and open her up and see what we have inside loads of plastic bags that probably aren't great for the environment some room for improvement near Asus but this is actually a 360 cooler with even more plastic on it really I mean that is bad I don't normally call these things out but maybe I should start you lose marks that he sues but here's the cooler anyway you can see the pump head is actually pretty big because there's quite a lot of depth where you have the screen and the latest as a tech pump as well thermal paste as you expect is pre-applied a lot of people say you replace this and use your own in practice I don't really think it makes too much difference to be honest but of course being a 360 radiator you get three RGB fans in the Box as well if these are loud and horrible rest assured I will be telling you seriously though am I going mad is it just me or is this a ridiculous amount of packaging that is completely not required at all let's open up our cheeky stash though and have a look at all of our mounting hardware the good thing about this being as a tech is that you do know it should be pretty straightforward to install because it's always standards he says seeing some clips that he's never seen before welcome back to another episode of It's manual time with Marcus maybe I should change my name to Emmanuel they would only work if it was a digital manual because it would be Emanuel please don't leave let's bring our motherboard back use our cross head screwdriver to remove the default am5 mounting hardware pick up the replacement Asus bracket line this up with where it was before it is labeled CPU up surely you can't get that wrong use the same screws to fix it back down grab the LGB fans that come inside the box and gently lay them on top of the radiator you want to make sure that the cables are arranged so they can come out the back otherwise you have to undo the whole thing and start again which is very annoying use the screws that come inside the box and just fit these down we can plug the fans in now actually into this little splitter as it should be easier to manage later on you've got one for fan speed and one for RGB not the most friendly design in the world I will be honest with you but now I think it's time to actually press on and talk about our chassis and this is actually from fanx and I do love fantex I've used them so many times on the channel but for some reason we haven't in almost a year which is really sad this is one I have not used before this is the g500a and I'm fairly sure you can get this with or without fans and for whatever reason the one that fantech supplied doesn't have any fans so you can use any ones that you want the ones I will be adding are actually on the floor these are from Fan sex these are the SK pwm fans these are decent they're not the absolute best if you want to go for the absolute best fan text fans you want the t30s but as case fans these are going to be more than good enough to be honest and they are a heck of a lot cheaper too any case with a door is your friend or accessory kit actually seems to be pretty big is there anything exciting in here looks like some hard drive caddies and what has to be one of the best fan text features all of the screws lovely separated into these nice neat Chambers why is this not standard you've got this very large building area inside you've got these covers that can remove and then if you want to put like radiators or Mount pumps or something like that you've got extra mounting room there as I say no fans on this particular version at all which I like because it means you can just pick the ones that you actually want to use you also have this little piece IE cable cover as well that's quite nice turn it rounds to the other side and this is actually a door as I say doors are your friend and it removes to give you these again quite coarse hair style actually Cable Management doors so they come off I think with a bit of a push they will lift up actually room for all of your ssds or any like fan junction box and things I like how they're completely tallest you just take them put your SSD in and then drop it back into place and then you've got loads of cable management all the way down the side here as well so I'm thinking this is going to be very easy to build in but again if I'm wrong I will be letting you know yeah they do come off because actually that would have been quite annoying and oh yes probably the most important thing the front of the chassis is lovely fairly open mesh so you're going to get a fair bit of dust in this especially if you've got like a cat or dog that molts all the time don't laugh it is actually very serious you've got RGB vanes on the top and a little bit on the sides as well and on the very top if it's a 360 radiator which is why we're going to use a 360 radiator USB 3.1 and then two type A's again with plenty of mesh so let us Begin by laying our case down flat picking up our motherboard and lining this up with the big hole at the back of the chassis open up your screw box and use the motherboard screws and then fit this down into place let's add in our case fans this is a 140 for the rear and then we're going to put three 120s at the front why on Earth do you have to add your own rubber rings to these why these not be pre-installed that is so lazy does it really save you that much money four screws in the back seals the deal the fronts should be just as easy you pop the front off for lunch and then again just line them up with this front if you're doing a radiator you can actually remove the whole thing and then drop it back in it should be slightly easier but with fans it doesn't make much difference oh I see hang on a minute you need to move the bar so the 120s actually fit in that took far too long far too long maybe I hate fans as well as radiators maybe it was just the fans in the first place and of course now we need to actually plug all of the fans in which should be simple enough they're all four pin pwms and they're scattered amongst the motherboard looking something along the lines of this and I must say the cable management on this case is brilliant I was wondering where all the cables were going to come out but you can literally just move any of these and tuck them through to get the front looking nice and neat and tidy so you don't have any of these horrible cables dangling down you just need to pull them through solid thumbs up there fan Tex then it should just be a case of Daisy training all of the RGB together then plugging it into the case lighting grabbing all of these front panel connections power switch is located at the bottom right right next to it is the USB 3.0 above all of that is the USBC addressable RGB is up here at the top then finally at the bottom left-hand Corner you've got HD audio that's used to plug headsets into the front of the case finally we're making progress the next thing to do is actually to install our radiator but before we do that quick little hack is to actually get our power supply and this one is from NZXT this is the c1000 gold it's actually a pretty new power supply obviously this is a system that is going to require quite a lot of wattage 850 is going to be absolutely fine but if you do want to be I guess a little bit more dare I say future proof 1000 watts is probably where I'd go just to give you a little bit more Headroom and it can mean that your efficiency curve is actually a little bit more in your favor as well which could save yourself a bit of money but as I say 850 is probably going to be fine but the reason that we're grabbing this now is so that we can actually plug all of these CPU Connections in before we put the radiator there and essentially block these ports off or at least make it more difficult to plug in it really is just as simple as grabbing the cable and pushing it in make sure they're both in tight and then pull the cable through to the other side then you can grab your radiator which has been sitting here ready to go and hopefully this is going to be fairly straightforward you just pop this top cover off this is why I say this isn't really the most ideal solution because it's just too many cables it's quite messy it is very rare that it is this messy do we have enough clearance certainly think so yes no problem whatsoever but of course the last piece in the puzzle is to actually fit our pump tubes go down the bottom just line this up with those four holes use the am5 screws to get that top bit to catch and then just turn it up with your screwdriver plug in the rest of the cables which are unhelpfully at the bottom which means rooting them rather not neatly at the top it's time to actually put the power supply in now and as you can see this is modular so you actually need to attach all of the cables to the top this means that you get a much neater tidier build because you don't need to plug all the cables in that you don't actually need let's plug in our piece IE our pieceie adapter for the graphics card I think how much easier this would be if we actually have just one simple Gen 5 cable then our absolutely massive ATX and then when we turn this back around our lovely CPU connections that we saved from earlier oh do we have to push it in through the other side yes oh below I don't think there's any other way of describing this as pull all the crap through the back of your system and then finally I think we're ready to actually install arguably the most exciting part of any gaming rig are RTX 4090 and this is the lovely Founders Edition probably my favorite one of the Lots it's tasteful it's big but it's very quiet and it's very cheap oh no wait it's the opposite this costs about 1800 pounds I think my first car genuinely cost the same amount but to be fair that didn't play any games this is going to let you play 4K 120 hertz and pretty much every single title I've actually been playing some return all recently on a very similar GPU it's the PNY version of this and even with Ray tracing everything turned up to Max I'm easily getting 4K 120 on the TV downstairs and it is phenomenal this should be very simple to install just line it up with the slot give it a nice push screw it into place and then finally grab our bundle fun from behind the PC this would have been so much better if I'd used a power supply that actually had PCI gen 5. come on little monster oh God there's just so much it's like giving birth that connects just like that I think the cable tidy is gonna have to go because it's too bulbous but otherwise that is just about done what do you make of our system and I say two things firstly this is a Powerhouse PC that once you turn it on it is going to look absolutely awesome but then on the other hand it is a bit of a cable management nightmare I think the cooler itself looks nice but I'm really not a fan of the fact that all of these cables have to go up like that maybe you could rotate it 180 but then obviously you've got the tubes the wrong side so that's not ideal this is definitely gonna have to get swapped out if you want it to look good and the power supply itself I'm not a fan of how well bulbous that is as well so custom cables would help here but all in all as long as you can give it a little bit more love than we have here today I think this is going to be pretty awesome here comes the moment of truth though which usually would be plugging this in and actually seeing if it works but today is to actually update the BIOS and immediately you can see we've got power which is good but if we try to turn this on it's not going to work until we've updated the bios so I've got the new bios file from the gigabyte website this one is called gigabyte dot bin on a FAT32 Drive which is actually quite hard to come by now because it has to be quite a small one maybe even USB 2 as well it's it's not ideal but you can make it work you just plug it in to the back whether it says bios all you need to do now is hold this button down all we need to do is wait for this light to go out the instructions say two to three minutes and then it will shut down so I think in the meantime I will get our monitor connected hang on hang on a minute the light has gone out the light has gone out and we have RGB we did not have that before which is promising it's thinking about it it's thinking about it uh no it's doing it again what is error code EA never heard of this thing before EA indicates trouble boosting with the media let's try one more thing before we Panic which is good old HDMI because sometimes it displays like a DisplayPort 1.4 connection and it gets confused I lied it's one more thing before I start to panic and that is just to clear the CMOS and start again so it's done our memory training and you can see we're cycling through all of the error codes that looks pretty good to me so why we're not actually getting an output is a little bit strange the graphics card lit up and it says AO which usually means all okay so what was that all about what was that all about I'm not complaining I'm not complaining but I honestly was starting to panic I was holding it together for the channel and the professionalism but inside I was dying uh there we go clearing the CMOS seems to have fixed it not sure what that's all about but the fact that we can actually now get into the BIOS fantastic there it is 7950x 3D let's enable our Expo profile and then save and reset and hopefully it should boot straight into my copier Windows interestingly I think it's doing it again I think it's just bad media I think it's actually the SSD so let me grab a copy of windows work this in the back spend ages sorting this out installing some games and you'll see me in just a second which for me is like 24 hours big sads okay so things definitely got a little bit weird unfortunately I was actually unable to get the motherboard to properly work and I think the problem lies in the fact that whenever it was flashed it was flashed with this like pre-release non-public bios I guess was supposed to work and I've heard that it does but it basically didn't and something about that motherboard stopped working to the point where I could actually get into the BIOS sometimes I could even enable Expo memory but as soon as you actually wanted to boot into Windows it essentially just said no and you're getting all these really weird area code codes different every time I've actually sent it back to gigabyte and they will let me know what the problem was and then I'll pin it in a comment down below but in the meantime we've swapped out to this the Rd strix x670e Dash e gaming Wi-Fi motherboard and as you can see everything seems to be fine I have also swapped the SSD just because that was in that motherboard but obviously it's an SSD so it shouldn't really matter but now that the system is on and very much alive we can actually take a proper look at it and as I say Cable Management internally I think could do with a little bit of improvement the cooler itself I do like the look of but the mounting mechanism as well meant that it was sort of easy to not bend it but just I didn't really like the mounting mechanism and I think it's actually slightly a skew at the moment but the whole system I think really does look great actually I absolutely love this fan text case I think it looks Wicked you've got loads of ventilation you're not going to have an issue with Cooling and I think the RGB sort of flows throughout where you've got the veins that go through into the fans it's very easy to sync up and actually I think this is a very nice looking system blades load up some games and see what this thing can actually do what we have here is Forza Horizon 5 running at 4K dlss set to Quality and everything else we will set to Absolute Max which is the extreme preset with everything else turned up as high as it can possibly go and here we are drifting and flying through the Mexican Countryside and as you can see we're getting anywhere really between about 130 155 FPS and I will say that this is very much a game of diminishing returns because once you actually turn these settings up as high as we have here it does get very difficult to run you do get ray tracing in Forza Vista I think and basically when you see the cars in the menus but you don't actually get it in game but still the level of detail you get from this is absolutely insane you really want to hook this up to like a really big OLED TV or something to properly get the full well Vista I suppose and to see everything in its full great Glory but this is an absolutely insane looking game and if you are able to run this at over 120 FPS I don't think anyone's going to need any extra smoothness this is the Real Deal folks but I'm interested are we going to get any bottlenecking at 1440p place your bets now we'll leave the settings exactly the same with dlss 1440p save and then we go back into our menu and actually it doesn't look like it we're now getting around about 200 FPS that is pretty insane actually and our GPU utilization is still about 96 97 which in full English terms does mean that we're properly using that GPU so the RTX 4090 is being properly utilized nice and look I've just noticed actually as we I was going to say crash but somehow we haven't look at The Thermals for a second the GPU is sitting at a mere 56 degrees bear in mind with pulling in what about 370 Watts or so on the CPU around about 60. that is pretty insane and that does show you the benefit of going for a proper fully airflow orientated case we've got all of the fans everything has been tuned this is pretty silent actually like this is basically Xbox sort of level compare it to I don't know like a gaming PC or the previous generation with bad fans where it's sort of making a racket that is impressive let's press swiftly on though to our next title and let's continue the adventure of Patrice plod this wouldn't be PC Centric if we didn't laugh at our own jokes and let's have a look quickly at our settings menu we've got this running with dlss set to Quality 4K resolution but it's actually running it basically at 1440p and then upscaling it in terms of graphic options everything should be set to Absolute Max so we've got full Ray tracing and everything is set to ultra and let's have a look then our frame rate is around about 90 to 120 FPS depending on where and when we are in the game it's definitely worth noting that our GPU utilization on this is slightly lower than where I'd like it to be there's definitely a fair bit of CPU bottlenecks from time to time but you can see we're not wasting but we're not utilizing around about 10 of the GPU in certain situations I've turned this down to dlss performance now on something quite interesting happens because all the time we're in these like tight corridors when there's not that much going on you can see our frame rate has increased quite a lot as clearly we were GPU bottlenecked in this scenario but then as soon as we go back downstairs to where the area gets a lot more CPU intensive you can see the frame rate actually plummets back to where it was before so the difference between like 80 to 120 FPS is a lot but it's not like crazy whereas the difference that we have here between about 165 FPS dropping all the way down to like 85 90 FPS in certain situations is definitely quite jarring and there is one more setting we can actually change to try and increase our frame rate which is to turn on dlss frame generation because this will actually help with our CPU bottleneck and yes it definitely does help now we've got about 170 180 FPS and I expect this will increase as we go upstairs it actually feels pretty smooth the latency is about 25 milliseconds or so which for a game like this is way lower than you'd need anyway so I actually wouldn't have a problem turning this setting on despite the fact that I always see comments that frame generation is a lie and you shouldn't use it but realistically I think it's a great option to have if you wouldn't use it in multiplayer but for single player games like this you can see it does make quite a big difference let's press on from one Ray tracing game to another though with some cyberpunk 2077 and this is what I would describe as best case Max settings this is Ray tracing Ultra but I've actually turned it all the way up to Psycho on the ray tracing but dlss frame generation is on and we've set the resolution to Performance mode so it's not quite as sharp I do think that it does a very good job of masking this though but we definitely can tweak the settings to make it look slightly sharper but in terms of frame rate you can see we're getting around about 150 frames a second at 4K with everything turned up to Max let's tweak the settings slightly and set Dil assess to Quality and then what you're seeing now is essentially indistinguishable from 4K resolution and actually it hasn't made a drastic difference we're around about 120 FPS or so which I don't think anyone would really notice too much of a difference to be honest even if you're playing with a mouse and keyboard yes it's obviously not quite as smooth but 120 on a single player game is fantastic 41 milliseconds of latency and let's turn frame gen off and I'm going to guess we're getting about call it 70 FPS that's my guess how well do I know graphics cards pretty well around about 75 frames a second or so but let's start a fight let's bang bang punch up they didn't expect that coming but they've got little markers above their head that tell me that they're bad people so they had it coming oh I'm gonna get yeah looks like I had it coming I'm a bad person I started a fight and lost moving on to a game that was literally released last week this is company Heroes 3 running at Max settings and it's a bit certain that there aren't actually too many settings to change but this is running at 4K and Max settings and you can see we're getting around about 230 FPS but obviously it will depend where you are in the game how many troops and things that you've got going on you are going to get bottlenecked a little bit at 1440p but either way you're still going to be getting pretty much a minimum of about 170 FPS with this setup even if you're playing at 4K resolution so I don't think company Heroes 3 is really gonna stop you from achieving FPS Madness I mean don't get me wrong I really do like this game but it doesn't really seem to be too different to the others if I'm honest with you I mean it's good but unless you're a big company Heroes fan I'd probably say wait for it to come to the Enterprise ever so slightly 235 FPS at 4K though banging ladies and Gentlemen let's go again and here we are jumping out of the plane and we're getting about 150 to 165 FPS at 4K which I don't think actually sounds very impressive but I think it's just because we're in the air and we're limited by the loading of the whole map it'll be more when we touch down and what do we got actually about 230 240 FPS so if you are lucky enough to have a 4K 240Hz Monitor and they are coming depending on when you're watching this video then actually Apex Legends of the 4090 is going to be a solid option if there was dlss or something like that you would be able to get near a 300 FPS easy but still it does go to show that if you want to have your cake and eat it with an artex 4090 and this CPU you really can unlike anything else really thing about hang about oh and I was useless there as always go and get me up I know you want to there we go let's turn this down to 1440p though because I know there's a loads of 1440p Gamers out there that are interested in the 4090 and let's have a look yes there is a hard cap on apex Legends of 300 FPS and as you can see we're easy getting that our utilization is actually only about 85 90 so even in the most demanding areas of the game you should be hitting 300 FPS I'd way as you probably get like I'll dip every now and then but for all intents and purposes if you want to grab the 360 Hertz 1440p Monitor and pair it with this you're on to a winner can we do the peel now I haven't actually done this yet we'll do it together boom how about that and all in all I've got to say I do love this system as I say there's a few tweaks to make mainly in terms of cable management to make it look properly neat tidy and suitably high end but even at the moment I think this looks absolutely fantastic I do like the little light bar on the top as well obviously not everyone's going to like all of the RGB and you can customize it turn it off get different fans it's good that you get the option of buying this fan list as well so you can use whatever ones you want the phantax ones integrate with the case lighting which is why I went for those but I think Liam Lee or Corsair have very strong offerings as well depends what's on sale really the RTX 4090 Founders I think is the best one it looks really tasteful it's very cool it's quiet it stands out it's just really a case of availability because getting hold of Fe is a lot more difficult than getting hold of one of the other ones but I would absolutely
